Clicked on my neighborhood contest and it said "You have abandoned the contest for this week, next contest starts Thursday 12 am est". How can that be when I have been playing it right along?

I'm sorry but once the facilities are entered into the contest you must NOT move them to storage or to another farm. If you do, you will see a warning message that tells you that you are in the contest and that storing the facility will make you abandon this weeks contest.

If you proceed, the facility will be removed from the farm, and you will be terminated from that weeks contest. In order to remain in the contest, the facilities that are part of a Neighbourhood Chain must remain on the farm during the whole week of the contest.

Hello there - I have a fac that was in storage that is in the NCC this time. I have enough FC facs that it should have added it but it's not showing after I put it on the farm. I've tried clearing cache, restarted, etc but it's still not showing. Can I get a little help please?

I have cleaned your NCC, please close the game, reload, then check if you can now see the correct amount of facilities in the NCC.

I did NOT get a warning message. I had to move a facility from one farm to another because I had no room for it. Now it says I have abandoned the contest. I purchased a brand new facility to play and got that abandoned message. SO NOT FAIR!! Especially because I used farm cash!!!

I am sorry, but we have no way to reverse this for you. The warning pop up shows as soon as you click to move the facility to storage to change what farm it is on. The rules are listed in the Game Guide chapter about the contest:

If you are adding a facility for the NCC then be sure you are adding it from the farm you want it on or leave it on the farm you are buying it on.


If you wish you can contact Suppor about this, but they can not reverse it for you either.

I am sorry, but we can not refund FC through the forum or change what happened. The NCC has rules and you can find them in the link I posted for you in my answer.

You have 1 of each of the coin facilities, fodder factory and cobbler shop that is all you can have with none of the farm cash facilities.

The rules for adding facilities to the contest are as follows:

If you have none of the FC facilities for the contest then you can only use 2 coin facilities.
If you have 1 of each of the FC facilities, then you can still only use 2 coin facilities.
If you have more than 1 of the FC facilities, you can use those plus an equal number of coin facilities. For example, if you have 3 of the 2 FC facilities then you can use 3 of the coin facilities. You can only use as many coin facilities as you have FC facilities.

I copied your suggestion post to the Help & Support thread about the NCC, so I could explain some things about the contest for you.
First choosing which neighbors you add to the contest would not work as all of your neighbors who are participating in the cotest are added to your team. It is not a certain amount added. So all regardless how much they reload or participate it all counts toward your total.
Additionally you will always have the top total for your team because everything you do with your reloading is multiplied by how many neighbors you have on your team. This is from the Game Guide chapter 31 about the NCC:


How points are calculated:

Each XP your neighbour earns contributes 1 point.
Each XP you earn, will contribute as many points as the number of neighbours you have participating in the contest.
Example:

If you have 100 neighbours in the contest and each of them earn 1 XP, then your neighborhood score will be 1 * 100 = 100 points.
Then if you earn 1 XP yourself, this will add 1 * 100 = 100 points to your neighborhood score.
100 (your neighbours score) plus 100 (your score) gives you a total score of 200.


This makes your individual effort as important as the total combined effort of all your neighbours in the contest.

So limiting the neighbors in your team does not help you. Instead it would hurt your total points. Those who do not do much in the contest facilities are still helping you by what few points they may add as well as adding to your own points by adding to how many times your own points are multiplied by.

If they are your neighbor, but you are not their neighbor then they will be on your team but you will not be on their team.


If they are not able to post in here then they either have not completed their registration or have not registered here. If they have tried to register in the forum send me a private message here with their username and farms ID number..

It sounds more like he is your neighbor but you may be his buddy. Buddies can not help in the NCC. Have him check his Buddy list and see if that is what you are.
All you have to do to send a PM in here is click on my name in the header of my post here and in the dropdown menu it says Send a private message to...

They are matched up from all the ones who have started the contest during the time required, either Friday at midnight or Sunday at midnight. They have to pick 10 for the contest group out of those who have started it. Not always can they match you with those closest to you. If your 1st place has 73 and you 25 then your two teams may be the closest together with no one having an amount in between.

I moved your post to the thread about the NCC as this has nothing to do with flowers or sprinklers.

You can add a farm cash facility at any time during the week for the contest. You currently have 3 FC and 3 coin facilities in the contest. If you add another FC facility then you can add 1 more coin facility.


Be sure you buy the FC facility while on the farm you want it on as if you move it to another farm then it will take you out of the contest.

As soon as the new contest opens on Thursday at midnight, I always fill those facilities to get started on getting points. Why would they wait until Saturday atmidnight to start filling them? You can do the same. The new contest is started on Thursday at 12:01 AM and you can start getting points at that time from the facilities you have.
Whether their facilities are for FC or for coins makes no difference. The only difference is between regular and service facilities and that is how much points you get for loading products.

There are only so many people playing the contest. There has to be 10 competing teams in your contest. If there are not 10 teams with exactly the facility amounts you have then the rest have to be as close as possible. And yes some of those will have FC facilities. There is no way to prevent that and get 10 teams.

I can only see 1 of each facilities in the contest which is correct as you can only have as many coin facilities as farm cash facilities you have in the NCC.

1 Beauty Salon (FC)
1 Taste of Midwest America (FC_

1 Linen Supplies Factory (Coins)
1 Ecuadorian Restaurant (Coins)

We dont see any purchase for a new Beauty Salon.

You can check this yourself by clicking in Account tab above the game screen and then clicking in Farm Cash Activity Log.

I had 2 of the voting supplies stores. I bought another one. I placed it on Farm 19. Checked the NCC to see if the 3rd voting supplies store showed up and it did not show one of the other two already there. So I surmised I had placed the new voting supplies store on farm 19 with another one already there, so I put it in storage and was immediately banished from the game. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??

The NCC has only one rule:

Once the NCC is opened you cant move any of the facilities participating in the contest. If you do, then you are terminated with the NCC for that week. Did you buy it on one farm and then move it to another farm? If so that is why you were set to abandoned. You can not move your NCC facilities between farms.

By placing and then moving a facility in the NCC then you have been disabled from this week's contest. You can not move the facilities in the contest. I am sorry but there is nothing we can do to add you back in for this week. You will have to wait until next week's contest to start.

Many times now, I have been pitted against a neighbor who IS ON MY NCC CHAIN. I have another neighbor who had to compete against 4 of her NCC neighbors just last week. This is not right and it needs to be fixed. Please address this BIG ISSUE and let me know.

That happens when there are not enough others who are able to be grouped for the 10 competitors who are in a nearly equal setting. There is no other way this can be done if there are not enough others competing that fit in the same level.

Also, I finished second, but all the gifts I received from other players thank me for them finishing third, and not second. Is this usual?

Hi Amber Leigh,
Your 1 FC was added for you at 12:15 AM eastern time for the contest. You can check this yourself by going to the Account tab above your farms then click on Farm Cash Activity Log tab there.
All the gifts you get from others are for you helping them to place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd with their own contest team not for them helping you to win 2nd place. All the message with the thanks says is thank you for helping me rank in the top 3. It does not tell you what place they got.

I enjoy competing in the NCC. But only when I am placed with other's at my level of playing. I cannot buy 3-10 extra facilities each time, not do I ever place anywhere as high as the first-third places I am on. It's fun when it's a friendly competition, not so much when it is against players that go over the top. Just feedback. Might want to adjust your algorithym. Check out who I am against now.

We have no way to see who you are competing against in the NCC. We do not get any data on that. The choosing of competitors is based on putting the ones with the number of facilities and points that are closest together at the time of selection. If there are not enough in that group then the game has to choose the closest they find which can be higher or lower than the amount you have. Additionally more facilities and neighbors with facilities may be added after the selection which gives them an additional boost in the list.

Again, they need a better way to pair people up. People with MULTIPLE, and I mean many of the cash faciltiies pull out the top spot each week. Fun when it is evenly paired. Just FYI again. The game has to pick 10 players to make up each contest set. Sometimes there are not enough who are close together to fill out the 10. I am sorry but there is nothing that can be done to change the method of selection that can prevent that happening occasionaly.

Hi frmrfbi,
It is possible because they have bought that many. As long as they have an equal or more FC facilities than they have coin facilities in the contest then it is ok. Some players try to add many facilities on every farm, so they may have many farms with lots of facilities to have 48 in the contest. At least being a neighbor they are on your team and helping you.

I also have a ncc neighbor with 48 facilities while I only have 4. Some people play to the max and get a lot of facilities. That does not mean I do. Also while she shows up on my NCC, I don’t show up on hers. I think the game picks who is on our “team” but we are not necessarily on their team. I noticed the teams seem individualized for only each of us separately. I hope that helps :)

I started NCC yesterday and invited to work facilities. Today I tried "my neigborhood chain" and see nothing. It is empty. no neighbors.
As I ask a neighbor he told me that I do not show up in his chain either.
