Important Things to Remember:


1. For two players to become neighbors with each other, BOTH players need to send out and accept neighbor requests.

If you want a friend as a Neighbour, YOU must send the request for them to accept.
If they want you as a Neighbour, THEY must send you a request for you to accept.


2. The Neighbors and Buddy Limits are based on how many digits the database can hold, it varies because not all IDs are the same length. ID's are normally 8 to 17 characters in length, so the number of neighbours/buddies you can have can vary. You should be able to have a minimum of 117 neighbours and in most cases for more than that, depending on the ID's.
You could have roughly up to 500 farming friends which will be a combination of Neighbours and Buddies.


When you reach your limit of neighbors, and you try to add another, if there is not enough room in the database to add the farmers ID you will see a brief notification that tells you
"Your Neighbour List is Full, please delete some neighbours before adding more."

When this happens, you can not add more neighbours.

What you CAN do, is see if any of your current neighbours have stopped playing. If they have you can decide whether or not to replace them with someone who is currently active in the game.

To change your neighbours, you will need to remove some before you can add more.
Look in the Farmers List My Neighbours section and see who is still active in the game their activity date will be showing, if you do not want to lose them as a connection in the game see if you have room to move them to your Buddy List instead.

You can also check your Buddy List to see if you want to change a Buddy to a Neighbour.


3. The Super Neighbors Limit is also based on Neighbours ID's. Approximately 20 Neighbors should be fine. If you try to add a super neighbour and have run out of room to add any more you will see a popup telling you that.


To find out how many Super Neighbours you have, click on anyone's picture in the Neighbours bar at the bottom of the game screen and click on "Order by Super-Neighbour". Then count all the ones with a red dot on their picture. You may need to scroll the Neighbours bar if you have more than a few.


Neighbours with purple dot are the friends who have set you as their Super Neighbour.

4. If you want to remove someone from being your Neighbour or Buddy make sure you remove yourself as being their Neighbour and Buddy, before you remove them from your OWN Neighbour or Buddy List.

You will also need to remove them from the Facebook Friends list in your Farmers list if they are showing up there as well, after removing all the Neighbour/Buddy connections.

Remember that the Manage option on gifts/trains/ships etc that you may have sent can allow someone to add you back so make sure that you have removed them from ships logbooks, that you are not sending them train boosts or returning gifts to them.

5. Archived Farms. Farms that have not been played in some time will become 'archived'. So if you notice a neighbors farm is empty this is likely what has happened. You will see a message telling you what the farm owner needs to do. Once that user visits the game, their farm will be reinstated.


6. Visiting/Tending Neighbors. You earn 30 XP for each neighbor whose farm you tend (watering, raking, etc) within a 24-hour period up to a limit of 100 visits. After that you will earn 1 XP. You can only tend each neighbor once a day.

I have a super neighbor that is not able to read my messages in farmtown nor can she work my facilities or service facilities. Her farm number is: 615379424 I can read her messages in farmtown and also work her facilities and service facilities. My fam number is: 828655084. I moved your post to the subject thread about neighbors and super neighbors.
First thing she needs to do is check to make sure she has not blocked you. She needs to check in both Facebook settings and in the Farm Town account tab above her farms.
Is she not seeing your facility posts or does she see them but is told she can't work them because she isn't a friend?

Please have her try clearing her memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If her farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

If that doesn't work then she needs to contact Support about this. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

That email will have your ticket number and a link for you to check the status of your ticket, so please do not delete that email. Is there a way to fix this and put my neighbors back without asking people all over again? Most of them have been my neighbors for YEARS and no longer play very often so it will be almost impossible

Did you delete them as your neighbors? I had a look at your data and I only see 3 neighbors for you.

If they are still your facebook friends, then the only thing you can do is to click in your My Neighbors tab and click in Add as Neighbor button for the ones you deleted.

Hi rbenz,
You would only be able to use the freestyle hands and bulldozers on one farm that they have selected you to allow you to design.

For your own tools they have to be in your storage to be able to use them on others farms.

To use their tools they have to allow that. You can't change it.

Hi rbenz,
When you get to her farms, expand the farm selector (top to the left of the message envelope). Find the farm in that with the red dot with a number in it. That is the only farm you would be able to use the freestyle hands and bulldozers on. They will be greyed out when you are on any other farm.

About your Turbo Boat, you have to place it in your storage, so it can be used in any farm.
If that is not the problem, then provide your User Id number. You find it into brackets in the message showing up above the game screen.

I moved your post to the thread about Neighbors.

Is this happening when you try to work her facilities from Wall requests or from her facebook profile, or both?

Please ask your friend if she is managing more than one account at the same time.

Facebook did a change some time ago and if she has 2 accounts open at the same time in the same browser or if she is using the Switch in facebook, then this kind of problems happens.

To solve this, she has to do all work in one account, then close it and reload the browser. Then she can open the other account and do all work there.

If that doesnt help, then she will have to use a different browser for each account.

Please give us some details so we can help.

Was this a super neighbor or just a neighbor who hired you to do this?

If it was a super neighbor was it on the farm they have designated as one you can design as you can only be set to design one farm at a time?
If it was a regular neighbor were they present on the farm while you were working?
Do they own the tools you need to do the designing?

Tell us what exactly you tried to do.

It was a super neighbour. When I'm on my dad's farm I go to my picture on the bottom row and click edit superneighbour. I then changed from current farm to farm 21 then hit green tick. I then went back and it says current farm so I'm unsure why it went back to current farm. I thought it would still say farm 21.
I have my dad's farm open and in the past when I moved a pond to the other side of the farm I would then go to my dad's farm and see the pond move. Now it doesn't seem to do that. I go onto my dad's farm and the pond is still where it was. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Happy for any help you can give me.

If you have both farms open in the same browser then that can cause problems.

If you have your Dad's farms open and are on farm 21 then it would be the current farm.

Be sure after you move the pond to click save to make sure it moves.

Are you talking about that if your superneighbor with desing privilages is working making changes you cant see them no matter if you refresh the farm?

If that is the problem, it has been sent to the developers so they can check on it.

Meanwhile, we noticed that if both of you are on the farm while your superneighbor is designing, then there are problems. Let your superneighbor work alone and when design is done, then you can go to that farm.

As I said before, there are issues with superneighbors with design privilages while working together at the same time, you will have to wait till developers check the issue and find a fix.

Meanwhile you will have to not be at the same time on the farm while designing.

I am not sure where to put this, so since it is kinda, maybe a neighbor issue I will post here, long ago, maybe over 3 years ago, I may have had a person as a Facebook friend and then a friend in farm town, I do not know this person but may have met them at market and added them. But if so, this person has not been neither for a very long time, years, but I still get requests for their ships, right now I have 5 sitting at my port, I use to send them on but stopped doing it thinking they would stop using me for their ships, but the ships will come and then sit there until they expire, making me think they had a script to auto do this as I am not their fb nor Ft friend nor neighbor yet I get theses requests, I cannot contact them, I cannot block them as they are not there to block, not even sure they still play but just left that script running,, not sure there is such a thing for FT but If it was a person you would think they would skip me if I let their ship sit there for 5 or 6 days, then on top of this I have a friend who we have played FT together for years who also gets this same thing happening to them. They have one sitting at their port. They are not friends not neighbors etc. either. So is there a way to block them, remove them etc?

If you were friends and neighbors long ago, maybe you deleted this person as facebook friend and neighbor but you are still their neighbor, that is why they continue sending you the ships.

Thank you for the response. I do not think I have ever removed no one from facebook but they may have removed me from facebook and not from farmtown, their ship says non-friend. All 5 of their ships are gone right now, hopefully they do not return. Is there a way to remove me from being their neighbor?

Hi MickeyMad,

Your friend will need to check the super neighbour setting that they have set for you according to what they would like you to do.

If you are not seeing farming tools in the toolbox when you visit their farms then you both need to make sure that you have your tools in your Item storage and not out on a farm and your friend ALSO needs to check that they have not disabled the super neighbour farming on the farm you have no tools for.

If it's not that, and it's design work or plowing new fields that you're unable to do, then your friend needs to check that they gave you permission to use their coins and which farm they have set you to design as they can only let you design one at a time not all of them.

You can also try clearing your FT memcache to clear your game data to make sure that is also fine. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload.

Im not sure the neighbors bar updates automatically, I think it updates after a period time and while you are working on your farms. Anyway, when I want to know who is on line, then I reload the game to have more accurate information.

To accelerate the process you can run memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm if it was open in another tab.
Then reopen the game and check if your friends shows up among your Neighbors.

This is a known issue and it is being tested by the developers.

While they find a fix for this problem, try to be alone on the farm you have to design then the changes will stay. If your superneighbor is with you then you will have problems.

i know that we can set a farm for our super neighbors to be able to edit and move that dot around as needed BUT when we are on a super neighbor farm and click the bottom right, it shows our farms AND a different red dot.

i have X super neighbor's dot set to my default farm, which is 2 BUT while i am on their farm and click the bottom right, when it shows my farms, i see a different red dot.

Hi 0202NWOTMRAF,

When you set a neighbour as a super neighbour, you don't see the same red dot they do unless you both happened to have set each other to design the same number farm.

So your super neighbour sees a red dot on your farm 2 in the grid when they visit you and then use the home icon to return home because you set them to design your farm 2.

The farm in the picture the design privileges are set for a different number farm, farm33. That's the farm they have set to allow you to design, so when you click on the home icon to return home from their farm, you see the red dot for farm 33 as that's what they set for you.

Yes super neighbours can use some of your tools. It depends on what it is you want them to do as to whether or not they can use them as long as the farm isn't private or the super neighbour permission disabled on that farm.

For basic farming work as long as you both have your tools in Item storage and they are the bigger ones, like the Farm Cash tools, they can use either their tools or yours. Tools use fuel so you would need to allow yours to be used should they not have any or are short on fuel.

For design work, plowing NEW fields, deleting fields, moving things around, buying coin items, you need to give extra permissions as those allow the use of other tools and the plowing of new fields. Some designing requires permission to you use your coins like plowing new fields and buying coin items for you. They won't be able to buy/sell animals or add them to your animal sheds, nor can they add any items on your farms to your Item storage. They won't be able to buy anything costing Farm Cash. If they tried to do that they would see the various items as locked in the store and the various tools that can be used to store would be greyed out to them.

The home icon can't show you every possibility. The blue which will immediately shows on all of them if you just visit and then were to click the home icon isn't easy to see which farms are fertilized. If you went there and used show work info to find the farms with work on them then worked those then clicked the Home icon, then those fertilized farms would be easier to see as you have already done the work.

Another example where that blue will still show up is if you had all farms but the farmer you were an SN for did not have them all. In that case you will still see all of your farms to be able to use it to return home, but those that they don't own will stay blue.

You're better off checking things like fertilization and irrigation by using the grid top left of the farm screen and using SHOW NAMES then click on Show Extra farm Info to see which ones have been done.

It is not a glitch. Farm 3 has always required at least 30 neighbors for the expansions. It doesn't matter where you move it. However, once you have bought the first part of farm 3 then you can buy the rest of the farms and their expansions without any restrictions.

I moved your post to the thread about Neighbors.

The invite button doesnt work to add Neighbors, it only works to invite friends who do not play the game.

If you have added new friends and now you want to add them as neighbors, then you have to find them in your My Neighbors tab.

When you find them, then click in Add as a Neighbor button and you will be able to send them a requests.
When you send the request, their background will turn light yellow and when they accept the request, the background will turn blue.

If they are recent facebook friends, it is possible you will not find them in your My Neighbors tab as Facebook is not very fast to add them to the lists.
To accelerate this, please run memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings, close that window and your farm if it is open in another tab. Then reopen your farms and check My Neighbors tab.

When my superneighbors irrigate my farms, they get the message and they can see it on my farms that they have irrigated the farms. But from myself I can't see that they are irrigated even if I reload the game.

When my super neighbors reload their game and come back to my farms, they also can't see it is irrigated.

And... Today one of my superneighbors irrigated the rest of my farms that was not irrigated EXCEPT from 2 of them which he did not irrigate. But when I then was checking the farms, those two who should NOT be irrigated was irrigated, and all the other was not.

Thank you for the IDs.

I apologize for the long reply but I'm unable to reproduce your issues at this time. I have tried irrigating a single farm and also multiple farms (as an SN) and the irrigating is happening on the correct farms and both are able to see that information. Both of us reloaded and the irrigation is still correct.

The need to reload to see the information update, may be that one of you were offline when it was done, or one had gone online after the other one. There can be a delay in that updating, you might notice that when multiple farms are done rather than just one. There's only so much real time data that can happen because if the game tried to update everything immediately that can then cause the game to down. It might also be that the data was slower to reach one of you than the other one. Reloading should always show the correct information to both of you.

I am assuming that your SN used the purple mobile sprinkler to irrigate for you as you mentioned they irrigated more than one farm, would that be correct?

We can see that you have 15 super neighbours, could you please check with all of them that they did not irrigate any farms for you which might explain why some farms were irrigated when you weren't expecting them to be done.

Please also check the Show Times (Clock) Per Farm Section in your toolbox. Look under the Irrigate Farm Plants section and see if any farms are showing different times on them instead of green check marks. If there are different times on them and you and the SN you know about did not do any of them at that time, then it might be that another SN you have might have done them.
A farm can be irrigated every 20 hours so for example if you saw 12h on one of the farms, that means it was irrigated roughly 8 hours ago.

Please also check on the following items, do any that either of you have not already done:


Check that you both are loading the game from the Facebook link for Farm Town on the left side of your NewsFeed to make sure that you are using the current version of the game rather than using a saved bookmark in the browser in case that could be taking you to an older version of the game.


Both please check your browsers are still up to date, clear the caches and history if they have not been done recently, then run memcache to clear your game data before either of you try to irrigate again. To run memcache Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload.

If you can, before your SN next irrigates for you, check the show times clock in the toolbox to see which farms have the green check mark and which might be showing a time to you so you're sure which ones have already been irrigated. Ideally when you next check this you only want one SN to do the irrigating to make sure that no other SN could also be irrigating that day. Then if this happens again, please try to provide the exact steps you and your SN were doing at the time that will reproduce the issue every time.

Meanwhile, if your superneighbor with design privilages is doing changing on a farm, you dont have to be on that farm at the same time.

I was not in the same farm. But I was online, and I guess I was in that farm when he came. But then I went to his farm and started fishing there. I was still on his farm when he was finished and he reloaded the game.

It seems you are having multiple problems with your superneighbor.

Is always the same superneighbor who has problems fertilizing, irrigating, etc..? Asking this as you have 15 superneighbors.

I would suggest you to contact Support to let them check what is happening when a superneighbor works your farms. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

I moved your post to the thread about neighbors.
Go to the My Neighbors tab and remove the sent request. Then click to send request again. Have them go to the My Requests and accept again.
His sending you the neighbor request does not add them to your neighbor list, so that will not change it in your list. The only way it will change in your list is if he accepts the one you send to him.

If it says that they are all on that farm, you might ask them if anyone else has seen that and if they have then they need to contact Support.

There are a few things you can do if you dont want a Superneighbor work a farm/s.

If it's not causing either of you any problems then it's probably just a temporary issue retrieving that data from Facebook that will clear itself up so you could just wait it out and see if it corrects later on.

If it does start causing problems then you could both try these to see if it will correct:

clearing memcache (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached)


make sure that you're both load the game from either the Facebook link for Farm Town at the left side of Facebook News Feed rather than a saved bookmark in your browser if either of you are using one.


Check all aspects of the time and date are still showing correct on your computers.

Super Neighbors do not get the Bonus Coins. Neighbors and Buddies do not get the bonus.
It is up to you to determine whether they use their fuel or yours. You can set that in the Edit Super Neighbor you will see in the menu when you click on their avatar in the Neighbor Bar.

This is a known issue which was sent to the developers but they are still working on it.

You dont need to hire a Superneighbor, just give them the privilages to design the farm you want.
Your superneighbor has to be alone on the farm while working. If you stay with them, nothing will be saved.
When they are done, then you can load that farm.

The Invite tab is not where you go to add friends that already play Farm Town as neighbours. You need to look in the My Neighbours tab.

If you have recently added new friends that play and they are not showing up in the My Neighbours tab yet then that's usually just Facebook being a bit slow to add your new friends to the lists. What you can try to help speed that up is run memcache:

To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window.

Then reload the My Neigbours Tab and see if your new friends are showing up. If not you may just have to wait a day or so.

I moved your post to the thread about neighbors.

You can't remove those people from the list in the My Neighbors tab. Those are people in your friends list who Facebook shows that they have the Farm Town app install. If the farm owner is on the farm you are designing you're designing will not save. This is a known issue to be fixed. For the time being you will need to work alone while you move things around and they will have to stay off that farm while you are working or you will need to stop designing if they need to come to that farm for some reason.

Even though you removed him as your neighbor, you are apparently still his neighbor. The only thing you can do is try to get to his farms and remove yourself as his neighbor. There are several methods for this in the Game Guide chapter 5 about neighbors in the following post link:

Hi graeme scott,

I'm assuming you are referring to the lack of bonus chest when working for a neighbour or buddy. It's unlikely that that anything will be changed in regards to neighbours and buddies not being able to earn a bonus chest when hired as that leads to less work available at market.

When you arrive at a job and start working if the bonus chest doesn't show up then it's up to you if you want to stop working and try contacting the farm owner to see if you are neighbours or buddies rather than wait until all the work is done on that farm.

If you would like to suggest a change for that rule or suggest an easy way to be able to tell when an avatar at market is one of your neighbours or buddies then you can post that request in the Suggestions (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2) area of the forum where the developers will be able to see it.

What are you seeing when you try to move a tree from storage to the farm? If you are trying to layer them then it may not work.
EDIT: I was able to place a tree on one of my neighbors farms so it does work with the purple hand.

Using the purple design glove, it would appear than I can plant a single item from neighbor's storage, but I can't see a way to multiplant, which I thought we could do before the HTML5 update.

That statement is not true, You can use the multi-Planter from storage.
Click on storage, items, drop box and scroll to trees. If you hover over a box of trees, you see USE on the right and MULTI on the left

That happens in your own farms, but the user was working as superneighbor, so the multiplanter only opens the Store.

No matter you get the facebook error message after sending the neighbor's request, it is sent.

I just tried this with a friend, I sent the neighbor request and got the facebook error message. The background for that friend didnt change to yellow.

She received the neighbor's request in her My Request and acceted it and send one back.

After reloading My Neighbors tab, the background for her changed to blue.

I got her neighbor's request in my My Requests as usual.

I just tried this with my husband farms without problems.

What happens when you open the tool box? Can you see the Seeders? Are those farms plowed?

Can you do other jobs on the farms? If not, then ask your superneighbor to click in her farms names and see if she has a check mark for Disable superneighbor farming option.
She has to remove the check mark and then click in the green check mark to save changes.
She and you have to reload the game and try again.

Also, in case you are managing both accounts, then try to open them in different browsers.

If the problem continues, you and your friend could delete each other as superneighbors, then reload the game and set both as superneighbors again.

She would have at least the basic seeding tool to plant one at a time. Then you would be able to use your own seeders or combines for planting. You would have to drop whatever tool you were handed when you arrive and then pick up your own seeder or combine.
Have her check the Super Neighbor manager and make sure she doesn't have the farm you are trying to plant set to "None"

The neighbor request has to be sent both ways. If you have not gotten a request from them in your my requests and accepted it then you will not be his neighbor.

I do not know what you mean by the host farmers icon? ARe you talking about the red dot? If so that will only show on their box in their neighbor bar when they visit your farm.
You will see the red dot indicating he is a super neighbor of yours only on your neighbor bar.
You previously said you didn't show on his neighbor bar. Has he sent you a neighbor request and have you accepted it?

Is it you not seeing the neighbor requests in the My Request or the ones you sent are not being seen.
Whoever is not seeing the request after it has been sent needs to try clearing the memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

The only thing I can suggest is for you to send it again. Go to your My Neighbors tab, click in the box for that person to remove the neighbor request you sent and then click to send it again. Let her know to look in her My Requests for it.
You do have 107 neighbors already so you may not have room for her. If you go to the My Neighbors tab it should tell you if you are full.

Without using a facility request, look for her in your neighbours bar at the bottom of the game screen, then click on her and use the visit option to go to her farms. See if you can load all her farms with the items you have set to show in your preferences like crops etc.

If you are having difficulty loading any of them when doing that, then it sounds like the farm she is posting facility work from has a lot of items on it. That may be things like overlapped crops, things on top of crops, overlapped waters, a lot of facilites or animals not in buldings.

What you can try before you work anyone's facilities is to turn off everything in your preferences like show crops etc then try working them. That will mean that you have less to load when you try as what might be happening is the facility work might be completed and everything she has on that farm is trying to show up by the time you go there.

Another item you can check in your game preferences is disabled is the Show Animals when not at Home option. See if you have a check mark added for that, if you do, remove the check mark and remember to click the green check mark to save the change. Unless you have a reason to see the animals on someone else's farm, leave that check mark off.

The Neighbors limit is based on how many digits the database can hold, it varies because not all IDs are the same length. ID's are normally 8 to 15 characters in length, so the number of neighbours you can have can vary from 80 to around 110, depending on the ID's.

At the present time, it is a limitation of the game, and can't be increased.

Hi Farmgalpatti,
You are getting those because the person sending them is your neighbor, but they are playing more than one account and using the switch user function in Facebook. Facebook made some changes to that function that is causing the wrong information to be sent for those train and ship requests.

For the trains do not boost them through the train manager. Instead go to the My Requests and boost those from there as they will have the correct information in that.
For the ships you will have to load them in the ship manager as those can't be done in the My Requests.

When you receive that message you cant add more neighbors without removing some first.

What you can do, is see if any of your current neighbours have stopped playing. If they, have you can decide whether or not to replace them with someone who is currently active in the game.

Look in the your My Neighbours tab and use the following filter option:

Sort Players By: "Activity" and remove the check mark for "Show Active Players Only"

Then look at the dates showing in each of your friends boxes with a blue background, to see if anyone has not played in a while that you can remove as a neighbour to add someone else.

No, you cant.

Neighbors have to be your friends in Facebook first and you can interact with them in several game features.

Buddies are only contacts in the game.

To add to what Marcela has said, you must be facebook friends with them in order for them to see your facility, ingredient requests, and belt bonus posts as well as to be able to send and receive gifts and for you to be able to see theirs. All of that is done through Facebook. There isn't any way to have neighbors only from inside the game because all the interaction between neighbors has to go through Facebook.

i try work something out this has frustrated me for a number of years. i started putting my farmtown posts for only me since a lot of people think it may be spam. I guess im old slow and lazy. I try filter my facebook but im not very good at it when i just want to play the game and let facebook do the sorting out of stuff. seems i ran into problems sharing the game with my friends and gamer friends. two groups but it all together on facebook. i stopped using facebook for social interaction and just play farm town when its active. Does she have the check in the box for Allow selling & buying items with my coins? If not then you can't delete anything off the farm.
If it is checked have her try removing you as a super neighbor, then both of you restart your farms. Then she can add you back and both restart farms again. Then see if you have those.

one my neighbors wants help me on my farm. is there a problem still trying save the farm while editing fields? do i need to go offline when they are working on my farm?

in past i found i can add to farms but not delete whats already there. like for example: I had a 10x10 area already plowed but i couldnt clear that but i could add plowed fields around it. is that fixed now? so i can work on my farm same time my super neighbor is working?

in past it was a synching issue because sometimes super neighbors are in another country. they have to download their farm while the other player downloads files necessary to run while they are playing.

it may work better than that now. i just need to know if i may encounter issues still.

one my neighbors wants help me on my farm. is there a problem still trying save the farm while editing fields? do i need to go offline when they are working on my farm?

in past i found i can add to farms but not delete whats already there. like for example: I had a 10x10 area already plowed but i couldnt clear that but i could add plowed fields around it. is that fixed now? so i can work on my farm same time my super neighbor is working?

in past it was a synching issue because sometimes super neighbors are in another country. they have to download their farm while the other player downloads files necessary to run while they are playing.

it may work better than that now. i just need to know if i may encounter issues still.

The issue has not been fixed yet.

If you and the superneighbor are on the same farm working then changes will not be saved.

You dont need to go off line, you only need to go to other farm while your superneighbor works on the farm set for designing. Once your superneighbor is done and left the farm, then you can go there to see the changes.

A little clarification is needed please. Are you meaning that you are her super neighbour and you are the one having problems but only with some jobs not all of them?

Are you her only super neighbour or could she have added more?
How many does she have?
If she has more than just you, are they having any problems working her farms?

Are you seeing any of your tools or her tools when you open your toolbox when on her farms?

Could she have set the SN crop permissions in the toolbox for any of her farms to None which would prevent planting to be done as a super neighbour?

If you can't see any tools in your toolbox when you go to her farms and she hasn't set any SN crop permissions for her farms to None, please ask her to remove all the usual SN permissions for you again, click the green check mark to save the changes, then reload add them all back and save the changes again. Then you reload the game and see if that resolves anything for you.

If that doesn't help please try to get her Facebook User ID number. If she loads her game and scrolls down below the yellow box under her game screen she will see it.

i now cannot see the plow icon, the store, the purple hand, and the sow icon..
i can harvest/plow and that is it now....i was able to buy stuff from store and design too but not now

When the Farm Pass came out, I tried to go to her farm to do some required work for my pass. However, I can do nothing there. If nothing helps, then contact Support team. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

No I haven't because only a certain 5 regularly come up on my send a friend a gift page. Somehow, could someone look into this and allow all of my neighbours to appear on my send a firend a gift page. My fuel allocation is getting lower and lower saying I need more friends. There are 33 friends on my neighbour bar but as I said only 5 appear on my send a friend a gift page. Only one or two are archived. I would like to send all my friends a gift and get my allocation of fuel improved from 1,889,000 back to over 3,000,000 as it was not too long ago.

Hi Christine,

33 neighbours is not very many. I suggest that you try and get quite a few more if you can. You definitely want to look at replacing anyone that is no longer playing as well as getting more of them.

Are any of the friends that you are not seeing in the lists new ones you recently added? If so then it can take a day or 2 for them to show up in the lists. You can speed that up sometimes by clearing your FT memcache.

Please run it now regardless of whether or not you have added any new frinds that play. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window.

Load the game via the Facebook bookmark on the left side of Facebook., open your toolbox and click on the Show Times tool it looks like a clock. In the Gamewide section look for Resend Gifts and see if there is a green check mark. Ideally before you send any gifts for the first time in a day you want to see that green check mark. If there is not one, you can mouseover the icon to the left of it to see information on when you can next send gifts to all of your friends.

Could you have sent any friends gifts via the Other Wall Requests page or when you see them requested elsewhere in Facebook? If you did you would need to wait 8 hours before you could send to them again which is one of the reasons you could see the message that you already sent a gift.

If it's not that either, please also check that all aspects of the time and date are still showing correct on your computer. If any part of the date or time is incorrect as that could be causing a problem.


It's also worth you checking if any friends are no longer active. You can do that from the My Neighbours tab. Check that the filters at the top are set to Activity and make sure that the check mark is removed from the box for Show Active Players only.

As you scroll down to view them all look at the top line in each of them and see if the Active date is showing that they played today or if the date is quite a while ago which may indicate that they have stopped playing for some reason. If any are showing active today and you haven't been receiving gifts from them recently it's worth you checking with them that they have been sending you gifts today in case there is a different issue going on with your gifts.

I removed the email address as this is an open forum that anyone can view so not a good idea to put one in your posts. I also moved your post to the Help & Support thread about neighbors as the thread you posted in is only for asking for neighbors.
You have to be a Facebook friend before you can become neighbors. That is why you are sent to their Facebook profile page to request to be friends. Once you have become friends in Facebook then you can become neighbors.

Morning. I am unable to find the correct link to post this question. I SN for someone, and they have 2 farms marked private. When I complete her farms, I water all - except those 2 farms. She came on the game later, and her private farms had been watered. The ones I did earlier showed 15 hours to water again, but the private farms showed 19 hours. Today, I go to work her farms, and NONE showed watered, and crops wasted. She has a brand new computer, mine is updated. Suggestions?

Please be sure that date and time in computers are correct for you and your superneighbor.

Did you water or irrigate the farms? Does your superneighbor own the mobile sprinkler to extend the times for crops?

I just tried with a supernieghbor and he was not able to water or irrigate my private farm.

Times in the computer are very important as if they are wrong then for example,the times for crops are also wrong.
Once, one of my neighbors had many problems with crops and it was due her computer date was right but in times it showed PM instead of AM.

If they dont own the mobile sprinkler then you are not able to irrigate their farms and get the extended times for crops.

What is she seeing or not seeing when she tries to plant for you?

Have you set any permissions at farm level to prevent SNs working them?
Could you have used the SN manager to prevent planting on farms?

If she doesn't have have tools and Fuel, you will need to allow her to use your Fuel or she will not be able to use them.

Go to the market and click to hire someone. On the first pop upis the box to check for allowing them to use your tools. Check that box, then close the pop up and go back to your farms and have them try again. That should set it to allow your super neighbor to use your tools as well. That will stay set as long as you don't change it.

A friend asked me for help and gave me her details but because we were in different countries FB put me in FB jail..hence I have never offered help again even though I am asked often. This is an aspect to the game that I think will help people stay with the game instead of giving it up because it is too hard with arthritis etc. I am not tec savvy but think this would be a bonus for the game if possible..Thanks

What you are asking is not possible, but as a super neighbor for them they can set it to 1 farm that you can design on them so you can move things around.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.

Yes the dates of when a friend last played are accurate.
Just remember to bear in mind that how many neighbours you have counts towards calculating refueling and your Item storage capacity so you may not want to remove too many at one time unless you can easily replace them with others.

I have moved your post to help and support for Neighbours.

The number of neighbours you can have can vary.
Around 80 to 110 is the usual for most, but that figure does depend on the length of the ID's of them. Some IDs are shorter than others which is why the amount can vary.

His sending you a request and you accepting it would put you on his neighbours bar, not on your own neighbours bar. So when you accept the neighbour request that he sent to you and he then sees you on his own my neighbours bar, that part of the Nieghbour connection is working fine.

As your own My Neighbours tab is showing that you are at the maximum, then you will not be able to add him as a neighbour for yourself. Have a look your own the My Neighbours tab and sort it by Activity and remove the check mark for Show Active players Only and then see if there are any current neighours that have not been playing that you could remove.

Once you have made room for another neighbour and when you refresh/reload your My Neighbours tab you are no longer seeing the red text saying your at you maximum, that's when you can try sending him a Neighbour request which he would need to accept so that he will show up on your own Neighbours bar.

As that uses the same list from Facebook it is part of the problem with the gifts and train boosts as listed in the announcement at the top of each section of the forums.

When using the 'Send Gifts Back to All' button in the 'My Requests' page we are showing you a friend selector with all the senders of the gifts you just accepted, we know is not ideal as you have to do some extra clicking on each friend, but at least you don't have to search for each friend manually to send gifts back to them.

Hopefully Facebook fix this bug soon and we can go back to the original flow.

I moved your post to the thread about neighbors. Do you see her in your neighbor bar at the bottom of your farms? It will be listed by their avatar name.
If she is seeing she is your neighbor that just means that you have accepted her request and you are showing on her neighbor bar.


Is the box for her in your My Neighbors tab white, yellow or blue background? If it is yellow then try Cancelling the request and then resend a new request.

Are these friends your neighbors in the game? If so I would suggest first you go to their farms and in the toolbox by their names go to the top item and remove yourself as their neighbor. Then you can remove them as your neighbor by going to the My Neighbors tab.

After you have done that if you want to remove them as Facebook friends you will have to go to your Facebook profile page and your friends list there. Find them and remove them as your friend.

Have you removed them as friends on Facebook. If not then they will stay on your My Neighbors list. That list is a list from Facebook of all your friends that have the Farm Town app in their Facebook. The only way to get them off your list is to remove them as friends on Facebook. Even doing that it will take a few days for Facebook to remove them from the list they send to Farm Town.

There isn't any way we can fix this for you.

Try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

Try cancelling the request, then resend it and see if it will go through.
This was broken by Facebook, but the develop0ers did create a work around for it. When you click to send them a request you should see a pop up like for sending gifts and it should contain only their name. You then have to click on the send button next to their name and then the done button at the bottom.

The neighbour requests works 2 ways. To be mutual neighbours you each have to send a request and you both have to accept it.

As you have them on your own neighbour bar that means that they have accepted the request that you sent to them, and that one has worked fine.

As you are not showing up on their Neighbours bar and it's showing them you need reminding then that means either you need to accept the neighbour request that they sent to you, or that when you accepted it the request didn't work.

Ask them to check how many neighbours they currently have. If they are close to their own maximum then that is a possible cause of the request not working when you try to accept it.

The average amount of neighbours for most users can be between 80 to 110 but that really depends on lengths of ids. Some users can have a few more than 110 neighbours. What can also happen when they are close to their limit is that they may have space for shorter length id but a longer one won't fit, which would require removing a current neighbour to make more space in the database to add a neighbour with a longer id.

If they are within those limits ask them to cancel the request and send you a new request. They also need to check the small embedded window that will show up and see if it's showing "empty response". If it is showing them that then that's a current issue with Facebook and may be why either you are not receiving the neighbour request or that when you accept it, it doesn't work.

If you get the neighbour request, when you accept it please also check if you see a small embedded window with empty response. If you do that is the same FB issue.

i'm a little bit confused with the "disable Super-Neighbor Farming" setting
i used to have my 2 quest farms, 20 & 28, set on private and disable, and everything was fine. then i decided that "disable" should be enough to not only keep my SN from planting and harvesting but also from irrigating. i had noticed that even though i had set my farms on disable and private, my SN would still fertilize my quest farms, but that wasn't really a problem for me.
my SN being able to irrigate my quest farms is....

The disable Super neighbor for a farm does not stop them from irrigating that farm. Only the Private or Quest farm settings can do that.

Yes that is the menu except it should have "Make this a quest farm" as well. Apparently you do not have the harvest all tools for animal sheds, so you can't set it as a quest farm. Setting a farm as a quest farm disables the collection from animal sheds of the farm by the Harvest All in the facility manager as well as preventing the use of any of the sprinkers for irrigation of that farm by super neighbors. Your only choice for that farm is to set it as private.

Which tools can't they use, your own or theirs?
All of them or specific ones? If it's a specific tool please name the tool.
Is this on all of your farms or only specific ones? If it's only one or a few farms which ones?

Have you tried removing all of the the SN permissions, reloading and adding them back?

If you are talking the Help given option when you click in one of your neighbors pictures in the Neighbors bar below the farm screen:

You get:

1 Point for claiming a bonus, sending ingredients, sending a gift or watering flowers (also includes watering farm, removing weeds and so forth. You can also tend inactive neighbors farms).

5 Points for being hired to work a neighbors farm, working factories/service facilities, working railroads or selling products.

20 Points for each sent Farm Cash item action.

The Help Given is reset to zero (0) at midnight Eastern time (U.S.). Below is the points that you get for each Help Given.

Those same type of help are taking in count when you refuel.

The Invite tab is only for inviting friends to play who do not currently play. Instead go to the My Neighbors tab and you should find them there.

I have moved your post from the Danish forum to the English forum thread for Neighbours.

If these are new friends it can take time for Facebook to add them in the various lists, usually a day or 2 sometimes less.

If you have sent any of them neighbour requests recently, those count the same as sending a gift. If you have done that, they should show up again in the lists when you are next able to send gifts out.

If none of the above apply, please make sure that you are still friends on Facebook and check that you have kept up with any computer and browser updates.

Then please try clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Reload the game and see if that resolves the problem for you.

If they are new friends and you haven't sent any requests to them (neighbour or gifts) running memcache can sometimes also speed the process up of adding them to the various friends lists for Farm Town.

About sending a tool to a friend/neighbor or superneighbor, yes you can send it to them no matter you do not own it.
They have to be farmcash tools and you need to have enough cash to buy it and send it to your friend.

A superneighbor will be able to use a combine harvest /plant if they were allowed to Plant using the farm owner coins.

For example: when your superneighbor arrives to your farm, they are given the highest tool you or them own.

The tool given to them depends on the tools you or them own and the permissions you gave them.

IF they are allowed to plant, then when arriving to your farm they will be given a harvester, then a plower or a combine harvest/plow, again depending on the highest tools you or them own.

But to plant, they will need to open the yellow tool box and get a seeder or a combine harvest/plant.

All tools need to be in storage.

Oh, thank you! This seems definitive and useful information. My super neighbors have allowed me to plant ever since that was a thing. When my toolbox is opened I currently am not offered harvest/plow/sow tools, but I would definitely use them. Unlike me, they are big farmers now. I probably never will want harvesting tools for myself, but knowing now how it works, gifting may be in the cards for my oldest and dearest FT friends. That is good news... my neighbours are the cream of the crop.

My question is why if I am designated to permanently be hired for design I am not able to plow the farm but can move trees around. I have been set up on my friends account as a super neighbor but it will not allow me to plow the farms for the original plowing before planting. I can harvest and plow existing no problem but cant plow a blank farm..This makes no sense when I have been allowed the option by the farm owner. Can it be fixed or changed to allow it?? Your neighbor would have to edit the super neighbor settings for you to check the box for "Allow selling& buying items with my coins". That would allow you to plow new plots as they have to be paid for by the owner.

We do not know yet what the developers will come up with for a way to add new neighbors.We will just have to wait and see how the game is going to work after the move for all parts of it.

I moved your post to the thread about neighbors. For her to show up on your neighbors list you had to have accepted her friend requests and neighbor request. It could be someone who has changed their name and their farms have been archived.

You should be able to get to her Facebook page by clicking on their name under their picture in the My Neighbors tab.

thanks for the reply Taz. I have tried going to her page from the neighbor tab, but it just opens up a white page that says "this content isn't available right now" and a picture of a suitcase with a lock on it.

I did search for Julie on Farmtown and found the same picture on a Julie Jules and that opens up to her page and show I am a friend along with 10 mutual friends. Very curious as to what is going on.

only the name Julie and the same picture shows up in my neighbor list and doesn't open.

Did you click on the picture or the name under it? Which one did you click on that gave you the white screen?

The name under it should take you to their Facebook profile page.

The picture will take you to their farms.


The white screen could just be a data transfer problem with Facebook. Temporary and usually clears up later.
