I am not able to send train boost or send gifts directly from the gift tab. I have tried 3 different computers and two different browsers on each one. On two of the computers my partner can send his but I can't send mine. I have no trouble with sending other requests for factory help etc. I read through all the instructions and it appears to me I have done everything correctly so I am not sure what to do next. It is hindering my being able to accomplish some of the farm pass quests.

Roughly how many farming friends do you have?
Having a considerable amount can cause a problem like this. If you do have quite a few then it's worth removing any that are no longer playing to try and shorten the list so there is less to load.

If you don't have a considerable amount of friends and you have already added the sites needed for cookies and pops to your browser, it's also worth checking your antivirus program and see if that could be blocking any of those sites and see if you can add those same sites to allow them through. You will need to use the help section of your antivirus for instructions on how to check if any have been blocked and how to allow the following sites to work:

I've been trying to send a train off this morning and all I get is a message to say " server maintenance is in progress, reload Farm Town to connect to another server ". Everything else is working though, just thought you'd like to know.

Me too on the trains - can't despatch a train.

Also can't put anything into storage despite being zipped and it showing 62% capacity and planted 1500 trees that were in storage.

Hi Everyone,

The problem with not being able to dispatch trains as it's retuning a Server Maintenance in Progress message, has been sent off to the developers!!!

As soon as we have more information this thread will be updated.

I have tried to dispatch my enhanced train last night and again this morning and it reboots my game and is still not dispatched. I got a message that the game was moving servers and I needed to restart my game.

Hi yolieherman,

Only the long cars that cost farm cash will bring products. You can have one of each different long car on one locomotive.

As your train is turning quite a few sharp corners and you're long car is quite long way from the locomotive, it's not correctly connected which is why it won't dispatch. Turning that many corners can be quite difficult to connect the train correctly.

You have a couple of choices:

The easiest is to move the long animal products car so it's right behind the locomotive and leave the rest pretty much as they are.


OR you can attempt to correct the majority of it. You would need to alter the cars on the train and you also need to use specific coins cars that will rotate to allow a train to turn a corner and still be connected.
Three of the turns the train makes doesn't have the corner cars on them to turn the corners.


Make sure that when you alter it you only use the yellow hand in your toolbox. Then you will have to check if the train and that long animal car is correctly connected before you dispatch it.

Full details on how to correctly connect a working train are in Chapter 29 of the game guide.
Post#3 in that chapter will tell you how to check if the train is correctly connected to the long car on it.
Post#6 will give you an example of how to make a train turn a corner.

Hi michelle jo,
It is most likely that those are from your friends but they are working more than one account. If they use the Facebook switch user to go between those accounts the data doesn't update correctly so you see it in the train manager as a non-friend.
Don't boost those in your train manager. Instead go to your My Requests and boost them from there. You will see the correct information as to who sent it in there.

Something I have been noticing for a while - trains that I have unloaded and left alone (did not dispatched) are mysteriously dispatching themselfs. how can I prevent this from happening?

Hi Lance,
I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about the trains as this is not about the current release.
The only way they can be dispatched is by you or your super neighbors if you have given them the permission for train management. So if you are not dispatching them then one of your super neighbors is doing it.

Hello, I have trains on 4 farms - 19 - 23 - 29 - 30 with the exception of the train on fam 30,all have 10 long cars. I am unable to boost them,any of them. When it comes to unloading,it shows that the Mayor has given me a bonus. I thought that only happened on every third time of unloading or has that changed now. I try to ask neighbors/friends to boost and it comes up with a window. The window has a circle at the top which goes round and round,nothing happens. I've left the window open for a very long time but still nothing. I have had this problem since April of last year and I understand that it a Facebook problem,so I have been told. I have written to them on several occasions and I have not received any answers nor have they put the problem to rights. its the same problem with gifts. If Im sent a gift,I can send back BUT,if I go to the git page,I have the same problem as I do with my trains. Its very frustrating,especially now the Farm Pass is here as I need my trains to move quicker. Please someone help me. Facebook dont seem to care a hoot about this....ID 1785901348...thank you

I am not seeing any recent previous post from you about not being able to boost your trains or sending gifts. Was it the Slashkey support team you contacted about this or just Facebook? I am sorry but we can't do a thing about the way Facebook may or may not respond to any tickets anyone may send to them.

If it wasn't Slashkey support that you contacted please check on the following:
If you have already checked that cookies and popups are allowed in your browser, no extensions are added to your browser that might be blocking the lists from loading and have tried other updated browsers and are getting the same problem there. Have a look and see if you have a considerable amount of friends that have played FarmTown. It might be worth you checking if any of them have stopped playing the game and remove those you no longer need so the friends list has less to load as for the most part the long term issue with lists loading has been happening to those with a considerable amount of friends that play or used to play, and see if that helps.

I am pleased to say that I can now boost my trains (havent tried gifts as yet) But so happy to be able to boost them again. And what was my problem you may ask....adding far too many friends for FT. Deleted loads that were not my neighbors. I had tried everything else and this was my last option. One happy bunny here.

I bought a second turbo train not knowing I had to buy duplicates of the previous ones before I could use a second train. Is it possible to get a refund for that purchase? If I can't use it (I won't be putting more money into trains) I would like to be able to use that money on upgrading my tools then.

We have checked your account and only see 1 Turbo Freight Locomotive. We do not see any purchase of a 2nd one. You may have tried to buy one, but it will not let you until you buy the preceding engines a 2nd time before you can buy that one.

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about trains. Please do not post questions or probvlems in the Suggestion section as that is only for making suggestion for changes or additions to the game.

I have just been rearranging one of my farms, which has a train with 10 waggons, and now I get the message, that I can't move the train objects back on the farm and to try later. I have waited for two hours and still get the same message. What is wrong?? I use Chrome browser, fully updated

Hi JP Farmer,

Are you trying to place it where other items, for example crops, are already there? If so that is layering and we can't provide you with instructions for those as layering is still not recommended due to the problems it can cause.

When you can't get an item back out of Item storage it the usual culprit is that there is either something in the way or the area that you are trying to set it down isn't quite big enough. Show everything in your in game preferences and have a look and see if there is anything there.

Trains and cars don't tend to like to be placed very close to other items, so if anything is close to where you are trying to set it down, try moving those out of the way then set the train down then move them back.

Hi Linda :)

I checked your train on your farm 8 and your data.

That train was unloaded yesterday November 6th at 17:30 eastern time.

It shows 3 days to be back home which it is correct.

I cleared train data, please close your farms in all tabs you have it open. Then reopen your farm and check if you still get the message.

If you still see the message, then you have to wait for the train to get back home and unload it.

Just in case before dispatching it again, clear your memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm. Then reopen your farms and dispatch the train.

hi for some reason i am trying to connect a train on my farm 21 but it won't let me i have tried everything and it still won't connect can you help me i had a train already connected to the carriages but wanted to change it to the one that is there now because need it for farm pass please and thank you

Hi LCO044,

Where are they not disappearing from, My Requests or your Train Manager?
If it's My Requests please boost any trains showing in your Train Manager then click on this link below to be taken to Facebooks area for game requests.
Look for your Farm Town requests then click on the X, not the Accept, on each of the stuck train requests. When you are done, reload My Requests and see if they have now gone.

Same message for the standard train. This cannot be true because I only have 1 train of each type. The trains are dispatched and do the rounds, but on return and unloading them the result is zero.

What may be the problem?

I have cleaned your train data. Please reload the game and see if that has cleared the messages when you open the standard and turbo locomotives.

i have tested this several times on multiple accounts and about 30% -avg 17/50 - of train boost requests are NOT going into my train manager, they just sit in the 'my requests' ... I know this been an issue for awhile but thought I post again to let you know it still a problem ... more of a problem now with farm pass tasks asking for x number of boosts and they don't count if do from my requests,,, gets frustrating ...

Hi JNelson,

Are you clearing all requests out of My Requests on all of those accounts regularly so you know you are also getting rid of any old train requests as well as accepting gifts?

What can happen when farmers don't use My Requests much, is that older boosts stay in there until they are cleared.
If someone sent too many boosts out for a train and others already boosted it then it won't show up in the Train Manager, it stays in My Requests where it needs to be cleared from.

Then if the original farmer the boost was sent to started using My Requests to accept gifts they will come across the older boost. As there are no dates and ties on the requests it can be difficult to know when it was actually sent.

If that train had not returned yet then they would not be able to boost it, BUT if it had retuned and been dispatched again then as long as the train wasn't fully boosted they would be able to boost it from My Requests. They won't see that boost in the Train Manager as it wasn't a boost that was recently sent.

If it's not that then please contact the support team (http://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/settings2/support/) about this.

sorry tiger i can't remember because i went to the farms they were on and did it it was the request boost box that came up with a message at the top i will see what happens tomorrow when i try to boost and let you know thank you

Hi Everyone,

We are aware that some are having issues with the friends lists when sending gifts, returning gifts, sending train boosts and neighbour requests.

This has been sent off to the developers to look into.

The Announcement in the forum will be updated with information as we get it.

boosting trains have been fine up till now but now just shows an error message I have 5 1st 3 were ok last 2 not just tried again and it worked

If when you send a train boost you see an error that lists a number that says it does not resolve to a valid user id, let us know what number you are seeing and please make sure that you type the number correctly. There is an example of that error message in the announcement in the forum which will be updated as we get information:

Question about having a SN visiting a neighbor and clicking on the boosts for that neighbor. Do BOTH the SN and the neighbor they're visiting get the products? Or is it just the one who actually clicks on the boost? I couldn't find a direct answer in the guide. Thanks!

There is no reward for dispatching and unloading your Super Neighbours trains, however, if that Super Neighbour has received train boost requests from his/her neighbours, and you are the one to boost those trains, then the product rewards from the boosting goes to you instead of your Super Neighbour.

- There are 2 Facebook bugs affecting the game introduced a few days ago that are causing issues when sending gifts and train boost to others and also when sending gifts back. We have already reported them to Facebook and we are also working on potential workarounds in case Facebook takes too long. However the workarounds will take a while, may be a week or so.

When using the 'Send Gifts Back to All' button in the 'My Requests' page we are showing you a friend selector with all the senders of the gifts you just accepted, we know is not ideal as you have to do some extra clicking on each friend, but at least you don't have to search for each friend manually to send gifts back to them.

Hopefully Facebook fix this bug soon and we can go back to the original flow.

There's no setting that you can change to prevent others sending you train boosts. You would have to let your friends know not to send them to you.

Working Trains are required for working friends facilities faster and goals for the Farm Pass so you may want to leave any working trains you have dispatched if you need them for those.

It sounds like the friend has access to more than one account.

What has likely happened is, you got a mixed up version of the same turbo boost for the same train which meant it appeared differently in each of those 2 areas as different people. You are friends with one of the accounts, but not the other one they had access to.

One version of the turbo boost showed up in My Requests where you can't boost it for a goal for Farm Pass.
As they had access to more than one account the version you saw in the Train Manager showed up as the other friends account. It would have had a Non-Friend blue button beneath it. When you try to boost one of those it tells you that you can only boost friends trains. That's why boosting the one in the Train Manager didn't count either.

This issue started with Facebook security changes and changes to Facebook switch user quite some time ago. Since then it's possible to get this kind of problem with non-friend train boosts, non-friend ships and facility work that says it's only available to friends.

Slashkey has no control whatsoever in whatever changes Facebook decides to make.

Ideally what your friend needs to do to stop this from happening is to make sure they are logged of all accounts, close the browser and reopen it.
Then preferably use different browsers for each account so they never use the same browser for more than one.

If for some reason they are limited to using one browser, then the best way to ensure there's no mix up between the accounts is to avoid using Facebooks switch user at all and instead manually log out of the account they are using via the profile icon top right of Facebook, then close the browser, then reopen it before they log into the other account.

It can also be tricky to know when there's been a mix up in accounts as profile pictures and names can either be similar or the same. Always check the blue button beneath a train boost in the train manager and see if it says non-friend, if it does it won't count for Farm Pass goals.

Are you sure this only happened today? Could you have had the reward for increasing products by 10% on trains for last months farm pass and dispatched trains prior to today?

For example the last time you asked about something showing over 100% in production was about non-workable facilities. If you claim the Farm Pass reward to increase products by 10% on non-workable facilities (like the mines), when you start all the products, those facilities would initially show that over 100% was in production to give you that extra 10%. That will drop under 100% when enough of the products were completed. As the non-workables can only be worked when you have the Farm Pass reward to allow a neighbour to work them, then that one would be likely to be noticed by more farmers because without the reward to work them it does take quite a while to get enough of those products completed to see that percentage drop back under 100%

Check you trains again later today or after they have been boosted if you have sent boosts out for them today, and see if they are still showing over 100%

Hi mehansen :)

I moved your post to the thread about Trains.

I visited your farm 27 where your trains are placed.

The rule for the Mayor working all facilities in all farms is that you need to have 2 trains dispatched with at least 10 long cars attached to each train.

You have 4 trains but only one of them, the one with the Enhanced locomotive, has 10 long cars attached.
The Turbo train only has 9 long cars, the Supreme train has 4 long cars and the Standard train has only 1 long car attached.

There is no way to put trains in storage and then reset them. You have to wait for them to go back home, unload them and then you could move at least one long car to the Turbo train. Please remember that long car cant be one you already have in that train.

i have total of three engines. the coin-engine just has one long car. the other two $engines has 10 long cars each. so ... do the $engines both have to be boosted for the mayor to complete all the farms w/facilities in one click?

Hi Carrie256,

I had a look at your trains. You have a problem with the 2 of the long cars attached to the Supreme on your farm 3. The last cars on that train are not correctly connected.

Open the Supreme and look in the Freight Cars section. The ones with the white background, not dimmed, are the ones correctly connected. You should be able to see that the Long Logs car and the Long Animal Products Car don't have a white background to indicate that they are correctly connected.
You can also check the Train Status section and you should be able to see that only 8 of the long cars are showing up, the 2 not correctly connected are not.

What you will need to do is wait for the Supreme to return home, then unload it and take off the last 4 cars on that train (2 coin cars and the 2 long cars).
Then try reconnecting the 2 long cars to the rest of the train.

BEFORE you dispatch the train you need to open it and look in the Freight Cars Section of that train and make sure that all 10 long cars on that train are all showing up with a white background and not dimmed out.

If all 10 have a white background, the long cars are correctly connected. Then you can dispatch the train and as long as both trains with the 10 long cars are dispatched the mayor will complete the facility work for you from one farm.

i had a green train on my farm # 2.. then i bought 500 farm town dollars and purchased about 10 long train cars... i was trying to upgrade to a longer train... not sure what happened but the game ate the green locomotive and all of my long cars......... what the hell happened??? i just bought all of this yesterday??

I had a look at your farm 2 and there are a lot of layered flowers on it. When you layer anything on a farm and in large quantities that can cause things to go missing. That's the risk farmers take when they choose to layer, anything can go missing at random. You might want to consider reducing the amount of flowers on that farm should you wish to put the train back on that farm later on, or put anything else on it.

I am getting the following error when I open my Turbo Freight train. I only have ONE, and it SHOWS as dispatched, and I can request boosts, but it keeps telling me "This train cannot be dispatched because you already have another Turbo Freight Locomotive dispatched on this farm." I only own one Turbo one, though.

Do I need to worry about this?? I have cleared my cache and done a memcached and it still gives me that message.

When you see them on the My Requests page are they expired?

Is it possible one of your neighbors you have set as a super neighbor is boosting them for you?
If you see them on the My Requests then before clicking on them try opening your farms again and see if they show up there. It could just be you caught them on the My Requests before they registered in the train manager.

But it depends on the locomotive you are using and the long cars attached to it. If you decide to move some of the long cars to other train or you change the locomotive for that train, then the amounts change.

hi im still having problems with my train list not loading so i can send out trains... ive reported this i think 4 times since we began the new platform without flash player... i use to be able to but not since then...last reply i got was it was a facebook problem with a certain server... why then cant i be moved to a different server to remedy my problem..i hate ive tied real money up over the years to not be able to help my neighbors back... also my send gifts tab is now doing the same since last facebook ordeal..if i wan to send gifts i can if u send 1 first but if i wanna send out my list wont load, just spins like my train list... can raul send facebook a note saying people still having problems with this server? grrrrr aggrevating for real now... what 3 years i think is enough..

Hi Tripod,
It has nothing to do with Farm Town servers. It is a Facebook problem that effects a small group of players that they have not yet fixed. There is nothing we can do to fix this issue for you. It has nothing to do with a specific server for Farm Town so there is no way to switch you to another server.

The only thing we know of that can help is to lower the number of Facebook friends you have that play Farm Town. Some have been able to do that and get it working again. We do not know what the limit is that Facebook has set, but it is much lower than it used to be.

Are they showing as expired in your My Requests? If so then it is probably because a super neighbor is boosting them for you.
If they are not expired then it may be that they only showed up as you were opening your My Requests and you happen to see them there first. When you see them there don't click on them , but go back to your farms and open your train manager and see if they are there.

I moved your post to the thread about the trains. Only use the yellow freestyle hand tool or no tool but just click on the car and select move. If you use the higher green or purple handas then thecar will not line up correctly with the engine.

Has this only just happened? Have you checked for any of these:

kept up to data with any computer and browser updates
checked that cookies and popups (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=625118) are not being blocked in the browser you use
tried other updated browsers


If you have done those please also try clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload and try again.

I have moved your post to the Help & Support thread about the freight trains as this has nothing to do with the current release and does have to do with your freight trains.
According to your data for account (1206556619) and looking at those farms you do have 2 trains with at least 10 long cars on them and they are dispatched, so it should be working for you to only have to do 2 clicks to work each set of facilities work.
I have been working facility posts all day with no problems. Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

I am frustrated. Train Boosts always go to My Requests, instead of into the game where they belong. I have to refresh my farm in order to see the very few that actually arrive in the Train Manager. I find at least a dozen or more every day, that go to the My Requests page. I click the ignore button each time. I also clear my cache daily or several times if I'm in FT for hours. Still, the problem persists. Seems like there was a post that said slashkey could fix this if the ignore button doesn't work. I couldn't find it & Search is useless! Please help!!!

I don't know whatpost you are talking about. There isn't anything we have that can fix this. I am not sure I would click on ignore for them though. I would go ahead and except them. If they show as expired after you accept them then it could be one of 2 things. Either the trains have already been boosted as much as they can or you have a super neighbor is doing them before you can get them. If a super neighbor does them then you will still see them in your My Requests and not in the train manager.
The train manager only refreshes when your farms are refreshed from your working. They do not instantly show up when they arrive.

Try going to your super nbeighbors in your neighbor bar and click on them then choose Edit Super-Neighbor. In that pop up uncheck the Allow Management of Trains. Do that on all your super neighbors and see if the trains start showing up in the train manager.

The advance that your train receive in one trip from all your friends combined can not exceed a full 24 hour day. So if, for example, your Standard locomotive visits all markets in 6 days, then with all boosts you will have to wait 5 days for it to come back.

No they are not using that to get into your farms account. What happens is normally these are from your neighbors, except that they are working more than 1 account and using the switch user in Facebook to change between accounts. When they do that the data sent to Farm Town does not switch to the correct account information.
If you see those in your train manager, do not click on them there to boost them. Instead go to your My Requests and you will see them there with the correct name on them. Boost them from there and it will work correctly.
Facebook may be restricting your activity because you are posting too many times such as copying your posts to groups. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this. I would cut down how many times you post from the game and copying those to groups.

After the migration to the new platform, I have not been able to request a boost on my trains or send gifts. The pop up comes up but it will just circle and circle until it times out, over and over. The same with sending gifts. I have tried changing it to "my neighbors" - "those helping me", etc., and have the same result - I can not request a boost - or send guests. I have ran the cleaner numerous times, cleared the cache, restarted my computer over and over, made sure my browser is up to date - tried multiple browsers including but not limited to Chrome, Firefox and Opera. I added a person as a SN for train management and she is not able to request boosts on my farm either. I am at the end of my rope, I've tried everything! At one time I was told I had too many friends, so I cut the number in half - then found out others had TONS more and can boost their trains and send gifts with no problem.

My Farmtown ID was Farm Town ID No 1593594423 the last I knew, and I have been playing since 2009....and I would really like to be able to fully play the game! This is slowing down what I can do, and I am missing out on some Farm Pass things. I would DEEPLY appreciate any help in figuring out what is going on - and hopefully finding a solution! Thanks so much for ALL you all do - I love the game and I know you put a ton of work into making it work....:)

After the migration to the new platform, I have not been able to request a boost on my trains or send gifts. The pop up comes up but it will just circle and circle until it times out, over and over. The same with sending gifts. I have tried changing it to "my neighbors" - "those helping me", etc., and have the same result - I can not request a boost - or send guests. Im sorry but this problem has been affecting some farmers and facebook has not fixed this issue yet.

The only things we can suggest you are:

- Be sure your browser and operation system are up to date. After any update it is always better to restart your computer.

- Please check that 3rd party cookies and pop ups are still allowed in your browser. You have instructions if needed in the following thread:

- Also, if you have many game friends, try to low them as it seems that Facebook is not loading the friend list if it is very large. We cant tell you how many friends they are allowing but it could be between 250 and 350.
Check if all Farm town friends are still playing the game. If not, you could delete them as Facebook friends.
If they were also your neighbors or you were their neighbor, please read the following information before deleting them as facebook friends:

Please ask your neighbor to register in the forum if they are not already and post here about this so we can work directly with them. It is not possible to work on problems through a 3rd party.

I moved your post from Suggestion Section to Help & Support to be able to respond to you.

Are you boosting them from your My Requests tab before entering the game? If so, then they will not show up in your Train Manager.

Also, if you have superneighbors with privilages to manage your trains, then maybe they are boosting them before you load your game.

I checked and your farm pass is for boosting other's trains. Maybe get one of your neighbors to send you a train boost, then look in the Train Manager and your My Requests and see if it is in either. If it is in the My Requests don't click on it , but go back to your farms and the train manager and see if it shows there.

yes I did leave it there in my requests and went and checked in train manager and there was nothing there. Then I went back to my requests and clicked on their and sent it back so they didn't have to wait on me.

This could be part of the Facebook bug in the recent past that was affecting gifts and train boosts. The developers were able to do a work around for some of that, but not all of it.
They may not be able to fix this right now with everything else going on. Please contact Support about this so they can have the information for the developers.

Yes there is a problem with those. The developers were able to fix some of those but have not been able to fix all of it.

I will contact Support when he is available. I am sure they responded, but you may not have gotten it. He will contact you through a different email or by private message here.

As I said this may be part of a previous problem that the developers have not completely solved. However they are very busy right now getting the web site ready, so may not get to this for a while.

My train manager has not shown activity for months. All my requests to boost or unload others trains come through My Requests tab. I cannot finish any farm pass quests regarding the Train Manager because of this.

Hi Michelle216719,

I have moved your post to the thread about Trains.

Have you kept up with your computer and browser updates? Have you cleared your browser recently? Are you using a saved bookmark in your browser to load the game?
If you have not done any of those please do so, you will need to know your log in details for Facebook and other websites as the clearing of browser cookies can log you out of them.

Before you clear the browser please also try clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window.

Then please close your browser and reopen it and make sure that you use the Facebook bookmark for FarmTown at the left side of Facebook or use the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forum to load the game so that you are in the current version of the game. When your game loads, scroll down below the bottom of the yellow box under your game screen and next to your user ID number you should be able to see the Build number as well. Make a note of both the USER ID number and the Build number in case we need to ask you for them.

Then, even if there is no number on the Train Manager when the game loaded, still open it and see if any train boosts from friends are there.

If there are not any boosts there go to My Requests and see who has recently sent you a train boost and try to boost one or more of them. See which message it shows you, if it's expired, already boosted, returned home or that you get products. If you don't get products and see a different message then those are train boosts that you did not get to in time and would have cleared from your Train Manager but would still show up in My Requests for you to clear from there.

If you do get products please check that you are still friends with them on Facebook and please also try to contact them and ask if they sent that train boost to you today. The only other reason we know of why you would get products when the train boost isn't showing in the train manager but is in My Requests and you still get products is if it's an older boost and the train had already returned home and was dispatched again. That can sometimes allow an older boost to work and give you products, but as it's an old request it would not show up in your train manager.
Old train boosts can show up when you haven't been using My Requests often. As you start accepting gifts, those are cleared the older train boosts move up the requests page so you can see them.

Are you seeing any message when you try to do any of those things?
Which trains on which farms are having a problem and what have you tried so far to fix this yourself?

I've unloaded, dispatched and sent boosts for mine without any issues on Facebook.

can we connect farmcash long cars to the standard engine (black) and still have the mayor do more facilities or do we need to buy a farmcash engine to connect the long cars to for the mayor to start doing more.

You can coonect one of ech type available to any engine if you so desire. It is not limited. Just be sure you do not use the green or purple hand to connect them as they will not connect right with those.

I moved your post to the thread about Trains.

Aren't you getting boost requests in your Train Manager or in your My Requests tab?

Are you sure your friends have sent you boosts requests?

You have a superneighbor, if that SN has authorization to manage your trains then maybe they are boosting them and that is why you are not getting boost requests.

I have not been getting neighbors trains in my train manager for a very long time. They were showing up in my gifts until yesterday.. Now I do not get them at all.

Please be sure your browser and operation system are up to date. If you do any update, then it is always better to restart your computer.
If you are using a saved link in your computer to enter the game, dont use it. Instead load the game from the game icon in the left column of your Facebook home page.

I had a look at your data and you have 5 superneighbors. Check if any of all of them have authorization to manage your trains. If they have it, then they may have been boosting your friends trains.

You can also try to clear your memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm in all tabs you have it open. Then reload your farms and see if you get trains boosts during the day.

Hi Mary.. my computer is utd. I don't use a saved link. I have used the memecache several times and did so again just now.. still no train manager boosts for friends. As for SN's.. only my helper account had train manager checked and I just removed it. But as I stated in my original post, I have had this issue for a long time. More specifically since the change over to html. I never addressed the issue because I thought it was a bug that would be fixed and I know of others who have the same issue. The trains showed up on my gifts so I could boost them and I have a couple dozen a day or more.... until 'yesterday'. Now I do not get them at all...??

We know that some farmers cant send boost requests but your issue is the opposite.
I would suggest you to contact Support team and let them check on this problem. To contact them click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Please include all details about your problem so you can get help faster. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

Is anyone else having problems getting train boosts when posting on the new site? I requested boosts for trains yesterday afternoon and had no responses, sent requests about 30 minutes ago on the FB site and over half have been filled. Is it just me??

Hi Penguin,
We have not had any problems with this or any reports other than yours of this. It could be related to the facility posts problem and possibly random. The developers are looking into that. It could also just be that they had it but just didn't see it or were not on line to do them at the time you sent them.

I am trying to move my turbo train locomotive from storage to my farm 19 train and it shows the engine with green under it but when I go to click it on the farm it disappears and I get the message that couldn't move item from storage to farm. Please Try Later....I keep moving the dirt path and reloading farm and have done memecache. I had my SN try and she doesn't see either the TURBO or ENHANCED engines in my storage. I can see both of them. Is there anything I can do to be able to put the TURBO engine on my train on Farm 19 since I have 11 cars with no engine....I have turned off everything on the farm and made sure there was enough cleared space to put the engine either at the front or back of the train. Thanks for any help you can give me in fixing this problem.

First SN's can not move farm cash purchased items from storage, so she can't help with this until you get the engine on the farm.
Make sure you have all the "SHow" items in your preferences checked. Even if you have them unchecked the game knows if something is sitting on the farm in the way. Using a dirt path to place this is not going to work. You need to have an area larger that the train engine that is totally clear of anything else to be able to set it down on the farm.
Once you get it set on the farm use the yellow hand to place it to connect it to the train cars because the higher level hands will incorrectly place it.

This has happened 2 of the 3 times have sent out the train. EVEN if I try to add names after it has been dispatched. When I told a friend what was happening, she told me to add her name for a boost. I did, and she said she never got it request.

I moved your post to the thread about Trains.

I visited your farm and your train with the Standard locomotive and 4 long cars is dispatched and the cars are correctly attached.

If you are playing in Facebook, you have to click in Request boost blue button and a list with your friends will show up.
You have to click en Send button to the right of the friends pictures and when you clicked in 10 of them, then click in Done button at the bottom of the list.

If you are playing in the new Web site, click en Requests boost.

The list will look different as it will show pictures, click in Select button for the friends you want to send the boost.
When you are done, click in Send Request button at the bottom of the screen.

I have noticed for a few days now....
I dispatch train, immediately then request boost and select 13-14 people and hit send. I do the next train, unload, dispatch and immediately then request boost and select people and hit send. The next day, they all have 0 people boosted them. I've noticed this on both my accounts. So I don't know if the boosts once sent aren't going anywhere or what. I have 5 trains. Now today 2 are back in for unloading and I'm leaving them until I hear if others are having the same problem. Something is wrong. I've played since Oct. 2009 and know what I'm doing. I am on the website and not the FB game. Any advice or knowledge of this?

I can't send from FB due to the spinning circle thing that has gone on over a year. I haven't paid attention to the list of names whether they are the same. I don't get a DONE. I get a Send Request. I just unloaded, dispatched and selected 14 names and took pictures of those names and hit send request. I went to the 2nd train unloaded, dispatched, and those from the other train I unloaded are not on the list.
OK THere is a definite problem. On one of those trains I just sent out boosts, I sent a boost request to my other account. I went to the other account and clicked on the boost and it immediately showed "SORRY THIS REQUEST HAS EXPIRED". It can't be expired as I just sent it a minute ago. I went back to the boost screen on this account and it still shows 0 boosted.

I sent a boost request from my other account from the website to this account and I boosted it and gave me as it was supposed to and the other account registered that 1 person helped boost. So it must be something with this account.

It is the train I just unloaded, dispatched and sent boost request. Yes they all show 0/13, 0/14, 0/13, 0/12, 0/12 are what is shows for my 5 trains. I sent out requests on them again but have no way now but to wait and see if that worked.

I'll wait until tomorrow to see if they come back after I did the reset, close farm, open farm and resend all requests out again. One of my neighbors I sent to was Tiger. Maybe she can say if it says expired on her end or if it went through good so I can check. I'll keep checking it to see.

Playing FT on new website. I love the option, when boosting trains, to choose farmers that help me. But what is this listing based on? Trains alone or also working facilities, quests, etc. I know I have a bunch of neighbors who play every day but don't send gifts or other helpings. I want to cull them and this list would help, but I want to know what I'm getting rid of first. :-D

The help given was always based on all kind of actions like claiming a bonus, sending ingredients, sending gifts, watering flowers, working factories/service facilities, working railroads etc so applies to the option for Farmers helping you.

I have just tried what you describe using the Facebook version, and that does not remember who you picked on a previous list either.

It wouldn't always be possible to know that was happening. You would only notice that was happening if the farmer you selected in one list also met the criteria for showing up in the next list you chose to use. Then you would be able to see that the Send button had not been remembered on that farmer and was no longer greyed out.

The website does the exactly the same thing when I tried that.

If you want to use different lists you could select and send to those you picked in the first list of your choice, before you change lists to send to someone else.

On the website, the other way to send boosts to famers that may be on different lists or met the criteria to show up in more than one list in one go, would require you to know who they were.

If for example you were to check the lists you like to use to see who you would like to send to.
Then changed the list back to the All farmers list.
In the search box at the top, you could type in real names or avatar names (each name separated with a comma), and it will show you the farmers that match what you typed in.
Then you could select the ones you wanted to send to and then click the Send Request to send all of them in one go.

I am trying to post a NEW Problem I have with boosting my friends trains. I have twice received a message that I can't boost my neighbors train because they aren't my friends. Obviously they are my friend and neighbor or I couldn't even get the request. This has started since the migration. Please fix. Thank you.

Hi Farm Lady,

Please provide some more details.

Were you playing on Facebook or the Website when this happened?
Under the picture of those friends train boosts what was the connection was it was showing to you? Neighbour/Buddy/Friend/Non-Friend/Manage?

What Build number are you seeing below your game screen to the right of your USER ID?

If these are Facebook friends have you checked to make sure that the friend connection is still there on Facebook?

Using the Facebook version of Farm Town can you please look in the My Neighbours tab for those Facebook friends and see if there are any stats for them for things like when they last played level etc
If those stats are all showing 0 but everyone else has stats then you might have a temporary issue with data transferring to the game about who your current Facebook friends are.

This morning train boost request denied: Nikki is listed in MY NEIGHBORS as my neighbor on FB. She is not showing up as my neighbor when I'm on my farm. She is now missing from my FB friends. Obviously we were FB friends and FT neighbors at one time. She is showing as ACTIVE player as of May 4. She is posting on FT Facility requests on the web version and not showing up on the FB version.

This is the 2nd neighbor this has happened with since the migration. I'm going to need a way to add people back as neighbors when we fully migrate or find new neighbors.

Hi Farm Lady,

I'm very sorry that I could not reply sooner.

Are you sure that the Boost said it was denied rather than expired?

Could you have had both versions of the game open at the time?
Have you tried closing the game, both versions?
If not please close the game wherever it is open then use the Play buttons at the top of the forum to check each version, one at a time, and then see if they both now show she is either a neighbour or not a neighbour.

You can add Neighbours via the Website, there are a few areas it can be done from for current Facebook friends and a way to add strangers that are not Facebook friends. You can also remove a from your Neighbour bar under the game screen if you needed to.

What version of the game are you using? You can not boost buddies trains in the Facebook version. That can only be done in the website.

on new site, when boost train to neighbors , it is not taking that neighbor off the list so we know we sent one to that player already,, is that an error or is that new way going forward we can send multiple trains to same person?

When you select farmers to send a boost request from a list, you need to click in Send Requests button BEFORE you click in other list to choose more farmers.

I did hit the send before switch to the next list .... maybe we have to wait a few seconds for server to catch up.... i play with it a bit and let you know if still happening .... not that big of an issue considering everything

I tested this by sending a boost to one neighbor from the Recently sent to list. The name was removed from e there, the Farmers Helping me list and the All Farmers list. The only list it did not remve them from was the My neighbors list. It may be that list may only change if you use it for sending the boosts from.
It is best to choose one list that has all of the players you want to send the boost request rather than trying to change between lists. As those lists are still updated from Facebook I don't think the data is being updated correctly from there and only updates locally at the time you are using them.

I was wondering, I utilize using Trains, work the wall to help nbrs, Use my ships, and do all 3 Quest cubes. But, my primary question is, using trains and working the wall for other facilities and Client referrals, is there a conflict between those two or are they considered separate?

Im not sure to understand your question but here we go.

Trains and working facilities/services are different features in the game.

BUT, if you have 2 trains with at least 10 long cars attached to each one, then the Mayor will work all facilities in all farms without you needing to go from farm to farm.

So no matter they are different features, one is helping the other.

Facebook is the only place you would be friends.

Where did you add this neighbor? Facebook or on the website?
Are you friends on Facebook?

Which version were you using when you tried to boost the train?

Is this a one way neighbor for you, as in they are your neighbor but you are not theirs?


It could just be a data transfer problem from Facebook to Farm Town.

I moved your post to the thread about the freight trains.
No there isn't any way to stop a train. You will have to wait until it returns and then unload it, before you can remove cars from it.

Yes you can rotate them 2 ways. Click on the car with no tool in your hands and select rotate from the menu.

When doing trains this morning on FB site (boosting others), I got the same message as Spike$u (you have to be friends first). These were people that I friended on FB, but made buddies on Slashkey; and, it showed under their pictures that they are buddies. I was doing the trains on the FB site as I needed to send out another boost. I had one train from a neighbor which went through fine. I'm beginning to think FB is getting picky about wording: Friend vs Buddy.

You can boost trains as well as send out boost requests from either FB or SK. You do not have to be on Facebook to send out boost requests.
For the boost not going through on Facebook the only reason I can think of for this would be a data transfer issue and nothing Facebook is doing. Please contact Support about this. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

You will receive an automatic response email when you submit your ticket. That email will have your ticket number and a link for you to check the status of your ticket, so please do not delete that email. If you do not see the email then check your spam folder as sometimes those emails get classified as spam.

The help given was always based on all kind of actions like claiming a bonus, sending ingredients, sending gifts, watering flowers, working factories/service facilities, working railroads etc so applies to the option for Farmers helping you.

We have not been able to duplicate this. The only thing I can suggest is to try reloading your farms before you send your boost requests.

No that has not been sorted out. I can only recommend at this time that you do train boosts through the website or at least those for any neighbors you have added through that and are not Facebook friends with.

I have bought a second standard freight locomotive and have two Long cars attached (farms 1O and 19)
I expected my second train to make a difference to the number of facilities I have to work for my neighbours, but I still have to work 50 percent. I thought it would be less than 50 percent now with two cars on a second train.

That extra 10% could only mean 1 facility or farm difference if they do not have a lot of them, so you might not even notice the difference.

It is with every farm, even when there are 44 farms with facilities to be worked on, I still have to visit 23 farms.
I was wondering if it was because they are both the basic locomotives and whether the second one has to be a cash locomotive.

No it does not have to be a cash locomotive. The only other thing needed is both trains do have to be dispatched. If they are sitting unloaded and idle they will not apply to the work.

Im not completely understand you.

Are you talking about the lists to send trains boost requests or the Farmer lists showing up close to the envelope?

To send boost requests to your friends you only have to select the friends you want to send the request to, according to the type of train, 10 boosts, 12 boosts, etc...

When you send the boost requests from Facebook, the lists can be set to All Farmers, My Neighbors, Recently sent to and Farmers helping me. There is no option for Levels.

If you are talking about the Farmer lists close to the envelope, all options for Neighbors, Buddies and Facebook friends have the option to show them by Level if you click in the A/Z icon.

I am assuming that you are asking about boosting friends trains and loading friends ships at your port.

Trains you get between 1% and 3% of all the products being carried by the train.

Ships you get both coins and products according to game level and how long the ship has been waiting for at your port.

I have made buddies on new site. We send each other trains but it will not let us boost them. I do not want to friend them on FB as too much cloning going on there. Will we be able to boost buddies trains in the future from new site OR do we have to friend them first before no more FT on FB?

Hi rodkay1,

Use the train manager in the website to boost their trains. As you get more neighbours/buddies on the website you may find it easier to only use the website to boost all trains rather than trying to remember who is or is not a Facebook friend.

Hi docmm6,

It's sounding like you tried to boost it using the facebook version of the game and one of you may not have had a connection to the other one on the website before the increases to neighbours and buddies were added. Try boosting all your friends trains only using the website.

Are you still having issues? All 10 of your trains are showing dispatched to us and none of them are back home yet so they should all be dimmed as you have the Transparent Dispatched Train setting enabled.

Make sure that you have kept on top of your browser updates, clearing and a computer updates. If you are using the website to play try logging out of it, reload the website, then log back in. You can also try clearing your memcache. The memcache links are posted in the following link:

It does appear that this train is indeed “working”, so I’m patiently waiting for it to return. As a side note, none of my other trains are “dimmed” (or grayed out) as you suggested…I did note that this train is in “requested boost mode”…maybe that has something to do with it?

Did you do any of the clearing or checking for updates?

When I looked all your trains they were dimmed out for me with that Transparent Dispatched Train setting turned on, which is why I mentioned it.

If you also clear cookies in your browser of choice make sure you know your login details as clearing those can log you out.

If you are using a saved bookmark to load the game either on FB or the website it might be worth after clearing, that you also use the buttons at the top of the forum to make sure you are in the current version of the game.

You are correct. If you click directly on the train to unload then you will not get the mayor's bonus or the farm pass additional as those are only calculated through the train manager. Without all the other trains being listed in the train manager then the bonus products can't be added.

FT automatically has added some of my neighbors to my ships/trains list and they do not work either. How can I delete them from those lists? Currently I just delete their place on the list once the ship/train gets to them but I would like to delete them permanently so when there is a worker I could substitute it is possible.

When working from the Website you can ONLY send Train Boosts to your own Neighbours and your own Buddies.

When you click to send Boost requests, then you will have several options to choose who you want to send them to. You have all the information in the following thread:

About Ships:

You can only send them to your neighbors. If there are some of them who do not work ships, then while you are loading containers you can change them for other neighbors. Then when you go to load the next ship, you can use the Reuse Last Itinerary. You have information in the following links:

This is a new one on me. I took a screenshot of this issue but unable to post it. Also, I have all of the tools and trains etc to work my fellow farmers factories with one click but for some reason yesterday it has stopped working.. I have done the memchesh thing, done it several times, closed all windows and powered down my computer to stop all processes in the background. After 15 minutes turned it back on and performed the memchash again, with no change. Please give me some direction. Thank you. Also, this has happened with Facebook site or Slashkey.

I have checked your trains and the problem is that your train on farm 9 is not connected correctly. It is showing only 6 cars are dispatched instead of the 15. Your train on 10 is ok. And the rest of your trains do not have 10 cars.
For the train on farm 9 it will return in 10 hours. At that time you need to unload it, but do not dispatch it. Then all the cars past the first 6 will need to be reconnected. Be sure you do not use the green or purple hand to connect them as that can place them incorrectly.
As you have 15 cars on that train and more than you need on the train on 10, I would suggest that you move some of the cars from those 2 trains to the other trains you have as they return. That way you can have more than 2 trains with 10 cars so if something happens in the future you will not lose the facility working capability. Also if you have at least 3 trains with 10 cars or more you would get the mayors bonus when you unload them. Just make sure the cars you move to other trains are not duplicates of the ones they already have.

The ones that give me the issues are Neighbors acquired using the website FarmTown. They show up fine in all the Managers as Neighbors and we have no problems with Ships.

Why is this?
