This Thread is for reporting issues at either Marketplace or with In Game Messages. Please see the following posts in the Game Guide to read about those features before you post

What to try when you can NOT see people or chat in the Market Place or Inn:

1. Make sure that your browser is still showing up to date. Clear your browser cache/history.

2. Make sure that your farm has fully loaded before you try to go to the market.

3. Check your Language setting is set to one of the more popular Languages used like English (US)If it's already set to English (US) you can try to Reset your language. Many members have reported that their language had changed on its own. English is the best setting for the most people in the market. Even if it is already set to English try resetting it to another language, reload and then set it back to English.4. Do you use CCleaner? If you do could you have installed and enabled Kamo? If you have please uninstall Kamo and then reboot your computer as that can cause problems with seeing farmers at market.

5. Some antivirus software are also blocking the sites needed for Farm Town. It may have an additional setting to block tracking. Try checking if any of the following sites are being blocked by the browser that you use:

l1.slashkey.com
r1.slashkey.com

If your Antivirus software is blocking tracking and you are able to temporarily disable that setting you can see if that resolves the problem. OR, you can see if adding just those sites to exceptions in the anti tracking is enough to resolve your problem.



6. Try going to the market via another route. Try visiting a neighbour or buddy, then either go back to your farm or go from there to market. If none of these help please include the server number on which your farm is hosted and the server number of the market when you arrive. Both of these can be found in the red letters when you enter your farm or the market place. It will read Connecting to town mainframe (Chat Server: F4, Farm Server: w200) for example. In the event this is a server issue having the server numbers will help the developers track it down much more quickly.

Remember you can harvest your own crops and harvest your own fields so nothing goes to waste. If you can not see a specific friend or Neighbour in the game you need to check if you have blocked them.

There are several ways to get to your Blocked Users..


Either Click on the Account Tab at the top of your game screen then click on Blocked Users.
Or click on this link...

Then remove your friend from the list by clicking on Unblock User. After doing that you should then be able to see each other in the game.

Highlighting to copy/Paste text in Farm Town:
WebGL provides very limited support for copy and paste so we had to implement it from scratch. If the Copy/Paste/Cut menu options using right click do not work at some point, you can try the keyboard shortcuts instead:
Windows users:
CTRL+C (Copy)
CTRL+X (Cut)
CTRL+V (Paste)

Mac Users:
Command (or Cmd) ⌘-C (Copy)
Command (or Cmd) ⌘-X (Cut)

Please run your memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm if it is open in others tabs.
Then reopen your farms and see if the problem is fixed.

Hi Peggy :)

I moved your post to the thread about Markets.

When you enter Job Market only you and Tom are there?

I had a look at your data and you have your language set to English US which is the correct one.

Be sure that when you load the market the plug is green. If it is red then you are off line.

I ran a deeper memcache for your farms. Please close your farms and reopen. Check if you can see farmers at Market.

If not, check if English US language is showing up when you click in Map: the Room language has to be set to English US too. If not, please change it and then click in Job Market.


If nothing works, click in your preferences, the wrench and change the language to any other and click in the green check mark. Reload the game.
Click in the wrench again, and set language back to English US and reload the game.

Did you change your language to other one, reloaded the game and changed it back to english?

If you did that and you still have problems, then you have to contact Support team. To contact them click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

I am unable to hire workers because no one comes into the marketplace page xcept me and Tom! I tried the other marketplace for selling and got the same result.

Hi Zebra,
I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about the market.
First make sure you are online (green plug) when you go to the markets. If the plug is red you are offline and you won't see anyone.
Your language is correct (english US), so try changing it to something else, check the green check at the bottom, close your farms and browser. Then reopen and change it back to english US, save, close and reopen and go to the market and see if that fixed it.

I went earlier this evening and there were 4 people in job market, there are always more than that and I tried several times previously to get in and no one else was there. Suggestions made in a previous post for the same problem included clearing cache, going to another farm and going back to my farm and the market. Changing language (it was English, but I changed it and changed it back to same) It asked me to copy the number down when I opened both, but it only says joining room when I go to market and nothing when I go back to my farm. I have closed and reopened both the farm and the computer. Please help me with this I will be having several farms come ready soon and I rely on the people I hire to do the work.

Hi my game id is actually 570427319 but i cannot get into the forum as i need the password reset again please, i did update it and then my system crashed and i cannot get the password i though i put in to work

The question today is that i am entering the job marketplace, I am seeing maybe 5-7 people and it has been this way all day, I have read previous posts and i have tried the following, i have cleared cookies and cache, the language is set to english uk and it is definitely the job marketplace i have been going into

Can you help please?

When you contacted me by private message I asked you to contact Support to reset your password.

Also I asked you to change your language to English US and see if you then were able to see more farmers at market.

Is there a tool to sell animals in bulk, directly from my storage unit? With my many neighbors that send out trains, I have thousands of animals in my storage that I can not use. All of my animal sheds are full, and I do not need to add any more at this time.

Hi Jake the Rake :)

I moved your post to the thread about Markets as you have to go there to sell your animals.

Click in Map icon and then in Trade Marketplace.

When Tom ask you to show your prices, click in Items button. Then set the filter to Animals.

You will show all animals and a button to Sell All. You have to click in the Sell All button for each animal you want to sell.

There is no a tool to sell them all from storage as you probably have some of them you dont want to sell at that moment.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

UPDATE 12:24 GMT

Try the game now please and see if you are now staying online.

The issue listed below should now be resolved.


ISSUE:

We are aware that the game is staying offline.
This has been sent of to the developers.

Remember if you have any crops needing harvested before they waste, you can work offline to do them yourself and so can your super neighbours.

We apologise for the inconvienince and ask you to try to be patient while this is investigated. It is very early in the morning for the developers so we may have to wait a while.

You were answered and asked to change your language in your preferences to English US to see if you see more people in the job market. Be sure to click on the green check to save that change.

When you arrive to Market please check the plug icon is green instead of red.

You have your language set to English US, so you should see other farmers at market.

Do you have a program called KAMO in your computer? If so, please disabled it, restart your computer and try to go to market again.

I can't believe you can't fix this game. When I go to the market to hire or to be hired there is never anyone there. when I go between my farms it shows a u72 and a u75 when i go to the market I have tried every thing you said to do but does not work I don't want to quit game but tired of not being able to get hired and to hire someone. Thanks

Hi:

When I came to my farm I found a message waiting for me, so I opened it and read it. After I read it, I closed my message. Then I noticed there is another message waiting for me to open, so I clicked on it, but the message would not open for me. It just flashed on the screen and closed off quickly. Something is wrong.

It was just a ghost of the other message. Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.

keep getting this in the console at the trade marketplace any reason why? its going nuts even clearing mem and changing browser doesn't make a difference.

Hi Alexm,
Is this error stopping you from playing or continuing to trade? If not then I would not worry about it as it is probably trying to show an item that no longer exists, possible because someone else already bought it in a trade.

The game reports that the farmer has none of the item to sell, then if I try to buy from someone else or load my own warehouse, the game freezes. Clearing memcache fixes it for the time being, but it recurs. The farmer I fail to buy from will still be showing their item available.

The reason those items still show is they put them in the trading warehouse, but then sold them directly to someone. The game does not update immediately so they still show in the trading warehouse.
I have seen the ones where they no longer had the product, but have never had the game freeze if I go on to someone else's warehouse and bought from them. No way to tell what is causing this for you.

Ok, that makes sense of why the buying fails :). Meh, well, the freezing is probably just one of those weird problems I seem to be collecting.

"Loading Offers" - the screen freezes more often than not. Two prime examples are when I'm reloading an offer and it's got the wrong asking price - I change it and try to load but just get "loading offers" and can't do anything else. This also happens almost daily in the marketplace when I try to load another product into my warehouse so the people at the market can get whatever it happens to be - I get "loading offers" and freeze. I have to reload to get back to the game in all these instances. Just now, I was refilling my facilities - not anything to do with markets - and got the "loading offers" message. Had to reload. Just wanted to point this out as when it happens at the marketplace you lose your momentum. Thanks.

We have never seen this. What were you doing before all this happened? Are there any error messages in the FT console? Have you had your farms open for a long time doing other things before this has happened?
Make sure your browser and windows are up to date. I suggest trying to clear your memcache before you reload as that may help.

Everything is cleared and up-to-date. All I'm doing is trying to load offers. either in my warehouse or the buying offers for the six products we can request. This has been happening for months but this is the first time I got the message while in the facility manager. No error messages, just says "Loading Offers" and stays on the screen preventing me from doing anything else until I reload.

No you can not delete messages, what happens is the older ones get replaced by new ones.

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about the markets as this has nothing to do with the current release.
You have posted about this before and you could get to the markets from your laptop, but not your desktop computer. Is that still the same case?
If that is still the case, are both computers the same operating system?

Are you using the same browser on both computers?

Have you tried a different browser on the desktop to see if it would work?


If your game can get to the markets from one computer and not another one this is not a problem in the game. It is a problem with your computer or the browser set up or even as simple as having an add-on plug-in in that browser that is blocking that link to the markets.

I've tried repeatedly today to get into a different market, visiting various neighbours, clearing memcache, clearing browser cache, but it's always the same trade market with the same people.

I am sorry but there's no guaranteed method of getting to a different market or that any friend/neighbour will be seeing a different one to you each day.

Did you also try these methods today?

clicking the Map then rejoining the market you want
going to a different market then back to the one you want
going to the inn then to the market


If those aren't helping today either the only other things I can really suggest trying are these:


Try visiting a strangers farm from the market then go back to one of the markets and see if it's a different one.


have a look and see if any friends/neigbours are online and may be seeing different farmers at market and try joining them to get there.

Hi Sqrl,

If you have not already tried this either it's worth a go.

In your game preferences where you show/hide crops etc, change your Language setting at the bottom from
English (UK) to English (US) then click the green check mark to save that change.

Reload and try the markets again.

Hi michelle jo,

When you have a stuck message there's a couple of things you could do so it's up to you which one you would like to try. Sometimes you may even see a minus number on the message envelope instead of a number without one.

It should clear up when a new message arrives, so you could just leave it and check them later and if there is a new message the new message will open when you click on the message envelope and once you have read that one it usually fixes the one that was stuck.

Or you can run memcache to get rid of the suck message now. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload.

Thanks for the reply, I actually uninstalled Kamo before reading this and then ran ccleaner, did the registry, then restarted the computer and can now see people again, lol... previously I tried using Edge but had the same result as Chrome so figured it had to be something that happened recently. :)

how do i know if someone is still working my farm and it isnt updating my farm for me? do i just log off facebook and reload farm town? it does stuff like this "ALL THE TIME'. i cant tell if the person quit or know if i need to rehire someone. i couldnt figure out where else post this.

Hi Larwin,
You can click on show user info and it will update that, showing you what farm they are on and if they are working or idle. You can then go to that farm to see if they are working.

The Show Work Info updates every 10 minutes or 5 minutes if you have the Mobile Lookout Tower tool.

Do you possibly have KAMO installed as part of CCleaner? That can cause this problem. If so then you need to uninstall that.


Please make sure your browser and computer system is up to date.
Make sure you hae cookies and pop ups allowed in your browser settings. Instructions for those are in the following link:

Check the plug in the bar in the upper right corner and make sure it is showing green.


If those are all done and you still do not see anyone in either market, try changing your language in your preferences to another language, then click the green check mark. Restart your farms, then change you language back to English US, click the green check again and restart your farms again. Then go to the market and see if you see anyone there.


If that still does not work, please contact support about this. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

You will receive an automatic response email when you submit your ticket. That email will have your ticket number and a link for you to check the status of your ticket, so please do not delete that email. I have just loaded your farms then gone to market and there are plenty of farmers there at the moment. The chat window did open itself, I did not have to open it.

It's possible that you may have a slowdown with an internet connection.

A well as clearing browser caches, did you also check your browser needed updating and any computer updates were also done? If not please also do those.

Please also ty clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload, wait for your farms to finish loading everything you have showing on them and then try the market again.


Other things you can try when those are done if you need them:

Before you went to market, had you waited for all the times on your farms to show up before going? If not try turning off all your show items for things like crops trees, flowers facilities, reload the games and then go to market and see if loads faster

If that doesn't help also try going to the other market and back again?

turn off your router/modem for a few minutes then turn it back on, reboot the computer and see if that helps. If it doesn't and this started recently then you may have a temporary internet issue which you have to wait out.

YOur language is set to the Netherlands. There may not be many using that setting. Please try changing it in your preferences to english -US and see if you see anybody in the markets.

STILL didnt work I have attached what I get when I try to go to marketplace. i Have tried to use google chrome, edge or firefox all with same issue.

Hi Al's farm,

Apparently some antivirus software are also blocking the sites needed for Farm Town. It may have an additional setting to block tracking. Try checking if any of the following sites are being blocked by the one you use:


facebook.com
apps.facebook.com
www.facebook.com
l1.slashkey.com
r1.slashkey.com


If your Antivirus software is blocking tracking and you are able to temporarily disable that setting you can see if that resolves the problem. OR, you can see if adding just those sites to exceptions in the anti tracking is enough to resolve your problem.

If that doesn't help then please contact the support team (http://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/settings2/support/) and let them know what is happening.

This pop-up alerting farmers to the fact that the market is empty is not working. Every time it's been activated, the market has not in fact been empty.

Hi Sqrl,

Were you at the market for a long time or could you have been offline in the game for quite a while and then gone online and then to market?

If you were, there can be times when there are what we refer to as "ghosts" which can be seen on peoples farms or at market. They aren't actually there but sometimes their avatar is.

You can either try refreshing the market and see if any of them disappear or if you see any online chat from them, try clicking on the name in the online chat window. If nothing happens when you do that, then they are not actually there and you are better off reloading the game to get a fresh load.

Hi Sqrl,

I don't think the ghosting prevents you looking at the co-ops, it would usually prevent you from hiring them for example.

It's up to you what you want to do, you could change your language setting to English US which is more likely to have more active players at market at that time of night so less likely to trigger that message, or if it's happening consistently you can report it to the support (http://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/settings2/support/) team.

I moved your post to the thread about markets. Are you not seeing anyone inthe Job Market? Make sure you are on line (plug shape in upper right corner is green).


What happens when you try to buy farm cash? Farm Town does not handle those transactions. They are done by Facebook.

I am unable to see any users on the Markets. This has been going on since FB released the game. I have done all the suggestions as suggested and nothing has worked. I have attached the server information for landing on Farmtown, going to the Marketplace and then disconnecting and reconnecting. It all stays the same. Please advise.

When we are telling people to switch to the English US language it is because they see no one in their set language. That language does have the most players. English UK would work nearly as well, but in most of those cases, they either already are using the US version and it has stopped working for some reason or their farms have gotten changed after a release to some other language which we have no one using.

Windows and Chrome browser are always up to date. I have tried everything that was in Taz's original suggestion ticket. Nothing has worked. I also tried Firefox and got the same problems. When I first go to the Marketplace the chat box does not open as it should. I will open it then go offline and back on to see if users will show and they don't. Thank you Marymarcel for making me look at this again. My AVG tracker was the problem even though I had all 5 sites listed as good it was apparently still blocking them. I have uninstalled the program and now everything is working as it should. Thank you again.

I just started back on farmtown yesterday. I am able to go to the market but there is never anyone else there. The same with the Inn and the Real Estate Office. I went to the Inn to get hired by a neighbor, he was able to see me, but I couldn't see anyone and he hired me, but I didn't get the request.
Not sure if I have a setting that I need to adjust or something.

I moved your post to the thread about the markets. Please make sure that you are on-line (the plug at the top right next to the question mark) green.
If it is then try changing your language to anything other than english US in your preferences, click the green check at the bottom, then close and reopen your farms. Then reset the language to english US, click the green check, then close and reopen your farms and go to the job market to see if you see anyone there.

I deleted the links you posted as outside links are not allowed on the forum.

WebGL provides very limited support for copy and paste so developers had to implement it from scratch.

If the method of using the mouse to highlight what you want to Copy/Paste/Cut and right clicking the menu options doesn't work, you can try highlighting only the word(s) you want to copy/cut or paste and then try using the following on your keyboard:

Windows Users:
CTRL+C (Copiar)
CTRL+X (Cortar)
CTRL+V (Pegar)

Mac Users:
Command (or Cmd) ⌘-C (Copiar)
Command (or Cmd) ⌘-X (Cortar)
Command (or Cmd) ⌘-V (Pegar)

Hi Taz. When I go to the market I am unable to see anyone, and one of my neighbors came and they can see me, they can send me a request, but I don't get it. I am unable to hire anyone or see anyone. I changed the language preference and nothing changed. I don't know what else to do.

Are you sure you dont use Kamo, Avast or any other online tracking blocker which are usually part of your antivirus?
Please check again and if you find any of them, then disable them, restart your computer and then try to go to market again.

You can also try to change your language in your preferences, the wrench, to any other languange and then reload the game. Then change it back to English US and reload again. Check if you can see people at market.

If nothing works for you, then contact Support team. To contact them click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

Not sure this is the right thread? Whenever I buy or put out a gifted 'chop' tree, I get a message telling me I can chop it using the axe in my toolbox. I'm level 519--I think I know this by now. Will this message ever go away?

I moved your post to the thread about the markets.

First please check that the plug in the upper right is green showing you are online.
Second If you are using CCleaner and have Komo installed please uninstall the Komo as it can block the other players information so you don't see them.
If you don't have CCleaner it may be that your antivirus program such as Avast or any other online tracking blocker then you need to remove that.

I have been having the same issue about the Marketplace for a few weeks now. When I first posted they said to get in touch with support, which I did and was told they would get back to me in a few days but I haven't heard anything back from them. The issue is when I go to the Marketplace I can't ever see anyone there. One of my friends came with me to the market and he could see me but I couldn't see anyone. He sent me a hire request but I didn't get it and he said that the color changed on my name. We went to my farm and I tried to hire him but wasn't able to send it and he couldn't hire me as well. So I can't get hired and I can't hire someone.Here is something from the information below our farms that comes up when I click on the map to go to the markeplace:

Before contacting Support, you were asked to check a few things, but I dont know if you did that or not. So please check this:

Are you using Kamo, Avast or any other online tracking blocker which are usually part of your antivirus?
If so, then you need to disable them, restart your computer and then try to go to market again.

About Support we will contact them to see what happened as sometimes there are issues getting their responses.

I'm not sure but it could be due your game level. I dont remember which level you have to be to not get those messages.

Edited to Add: Are you also getting a pop up warning you that you have trees, buildings, decorations etc, hidden and asks you if you want to have them visible again?

This was happening to me last night. I just closed the message, then reopen to get the list of messages for it to correct.
I am not having that problem today so it should clear up for you soon.

When I open my in game messages, it says loading. I have to click thru the messages, close it, then re open to see my message history. I then open each message and it loads and then I can answer.

I didnt have that problem during the day but thanks for your report.

Please try clearing your memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farms if it is open in another thread. Then reopen your farm and see if that helped you.

I cleaned my memcache and then re-opened FT. I went to the inn and had a couple people send me messages. They opened fine, so I thought cleaning the memcache had fixed it. Wrong. I still can't get them to load properly when on my own farms.

If you close then open the messages list and click on the message you can see who sent it.It is only happening with those who are not your friends on Facebook. We are still looking into this before sending it to the developers.

This is not a big deal for me but when people write messages to me (the envelope icon at the top of the window) when I try to reply - the message closes. I have to open the tray of messages and click on the one that just disappeared - then I can write a reply. I have seen other people complaining about this on Facebook. FYI

We are aware of the problem and it was sent off. We understand this is very irritating for farmers but we will have to wait until the devs have time to fix it as they are very busy.

You could also do this, entirely up to you which one you like better...
When you open a message and see Loading, don't click on Reply, just close the message and reopen it and then you you can reply.

When someone sends me a message, I see the message but the sender's information doesn't fully load. When I hit Reply, the entire message box goes away. If I then open the message a second time, I see the message and sender's information, and I can then enter my reply and send it.

We are aware of this problem and it has been sent to the developers. They have not gotten to this problem as they are very busy trying to get the website done for us.
If you close the message and then open the list of messages the information will then show up when you click on the message there.

My avatar and the avatars of other farmers that I try to meet with at the Inn and both Marketplaces, occasionally changes to another gender and sometimes the name changes to "Friend". At other times, the other farmer cannot see me as I am standing next to their avatar and vice-versa. I read the suggestions above and I have CCleaner, but don't see the Kamos it mentioned. I've cleared cache, but it still happens every day on my two different browsers and two different PCs. Is this a Marketplace/Inn issue or something else?

The changing gender is an intermittent thing that happens occasionally. Being intermittent it is nearly impossible to track down or duplicate. Have not had any reports on the name changing to friend.

The Kamos from CCleaner as far as we know only causes you to not see anyone in the markets and Inn. There are multiple markets and you may be getting a cross up where you can see someone but they can not see you.


Are you entering the game through Facebook or the website? The website is not ready for use yet and you may see some strange things in it as they are building and making changes to it daily.

The Kamos from CCleaner as far as we know only causes you to not see anyone in the markets and Inn. There are multiple markets and you may be getting a cross up where you can see someone but they can not see you.


Are you entering the game through Facebook or the website? The website is not ready for use yet and you may see some strange things in it as they are building and making changes to it daily.

Do you use CCleaner and have Kamo installed please uninstall the Komo as it can block the other players information so you don't see them.
If you don't have CCleaner it may be that your antivirus program such as Avast or any other online tracking blocker then you need to remove that.

no ccleaner or kamo to my knowledge, never installed ccleaner. I do have avast, but disabled it temporarily, and I had not installed anything new before this started

Then it is still either the Avast or something in your browser like a pop up blocker or tracking blocker that is preventing them showing.
The only thing I can suggest is reply back to your ticket with Support to continue working with them. They only gave you the link to this thread to see all the suggestions in the first post of this thread to try.

Due the problem we have had with settings being reset, then it is possible that the check marks could be removed or added or changed.

It is better if you go through your list of product you want to sell and be sure they have check marks.

I'm sorry but if you can't find a message in the list from the envelope, there is nothing we can do.

Maybe some day you could find them at market or inn again but that is only a chance.

If you want to make a suggestion, please post it in our suggestion section where we have all ideas grouped by theme for the developers to read.

You cant open a new thread there but you can post as a response to a thread that fits with your idea.

I use the chat feature to talk with other farmers plus send yw to their ty's. Is there a way to clear some of it out or does it only hold so many messages and then they drop off?

I am just thinking this could eat up a lot of game memory. However, there are some I would keep.

Neither takes up a ot of game memory.
Are you talking about the chat or the ingame messages. If you are talking about the ingame messages no there isn't any way to delete any of those. It holds 50 messages and the oldest drops off when a new one is added.
If you are talking about the chat window no there isn't any way to delete from there either.

The hire request is supposed to expire 30 seconds after it turns yellow, so if you wait a little long it might prevent some of that. However it doesn't always work and right now the developers can't work on that until they get everything back in the game on the website.

Just today I am not able to use a space when typing anything into a search field. As an example, in the Facilities manager, if I am searching for the Tea House, when I type Tea all is good, but when I then hit the space bar the dialog box just disappears. If I try to type a message to another farmer, I can type but no spaces appear when they should, and I get a string of all the letters run together. Obviously my space bar is working because this message has spaces in it as it should, but I do not get the spaces when entering text in the game itself.
Any suggestions? Has anyone else mentioned this problem?

I have just tried this and it is working fine for me. Only thing I can suggest is try closing and reopening your farms and see if it works after that.

This happens to me a lot. Most people want to work solo so it is a real problem. I hope eventually the Devs will make fixing this a priority.

You cant delete messages in the envelope. You can see the last 50 messages sent to you.

When a new message is sent to you then the last one in the list disppears.

Hi Farm Lady Rita :)

How are you trying to send a message?

If you click in the envelope to open it, you then have to click in the message you want to open it and then click in Reply to the left bottom corner of that message.

If you are in other user's farm, then you need to click in the little note located to the left side of the game screen.

I have one complaint regarding hiring in the marketplace. When a farmer does not respond to a hire request in a timely fashion and his/her color turns yellow they should not be able to accept that hire when they wake up! It is not fair to the other farmer I was able to hire and who responded to the hire request quickly. That is my rant for today! PattyAnne

The hire request is supposed to expire after 30 seconds, however that does not always work. With the developers busy trying to get the rest of Farm Town working on the website, this is on their list but is not being worked on at the moment. The only thing I can suggest for now is wait 30 seconds longer after they have turned yellow.

It happened a few days ago, I lost 3 different things...Now it just happened again and I have lost 13 separate items -

I can't duplicate what you are saying as I have always been able to reset the ingredient planner to what I want it to be normally by doing what I said. It defaults to last settings you have used. Don't know that it will help, but try changing it. Then run the memcache and reopen your farms and go back and see what it is set to.


For the market, I can only suggest you use the filter non-ingredients or non-ingredients (for me) and the sell all in those to sell only things you do not need further. I am not sure what filter you have been using to sell from as we only see data for those 2 settings.

If there is anything you specifically want to sell go to the individual item in the list and sell from there.
The other thing you can do is when you have some of the items that were empty in your storage then go to the market and uncheck those items you know are being sold. That way it should stay set as unchecked.

UPDATE: There was another player who had sent me a message after previous one, and I was able to click on the latter message to read and reply. But after that now I am back to the way it was, can't open the FT message to read the one who had sent before the last one. I suspect that farmer had done something to my Farm Message.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

I am sorry but the game is intended to be played on computers and laptops and using it's physical keyboard to type in game.

Any kind of mobile device tends to only have access to use a virtual keyboard which is pretty basic, doesn't give you the ability to copy paste using keyboard shortcuts either, so find that those can not be used to type in the various areas within the game.

Even if you already owned something like a Bluetooth keyboard that was compatible with your device and you could link your device to it, there are still no guarantees that it would work at all or if it did work for some things that it would continue to work with every type of mobile device that there is. We certainly can't recommend to anyone that they go to any expense of buying one just for the intent of trying to see if it would work in the game.

Hi iceberg :)

I moved your post to the thread for your problem.

I had a look at your data and your language is set to English GB so you should be able to see people at market.

Please be sure that when you click in Map, the Room language is also set to English GB. Remember you can change it to English US and see if you can see more farmers there.

Do you use CCleaner? If you do, could you have installed and enabled Kamo? If you have please uninstall Kamo and then reboot your computer as that can cause problems with seeing farmers at market.

If your plug is showing green when you arrive to market, click in it to go off line and then click in it again to go online. See if that works for you.

When that happens, one member will stay put and the other will leave and re-enter to arrive at the same server. Sometimes it takes three or four tries to see each other. When we can't see each other, the names and number of other players in one Inn or Trade Marketplace are different from the players in the other Inn or Trade Marketplace. Tells me there are multiple servers serving the Inn/Marketplace sites.

Server is not the correct term as that indicates a whole computer. There are multiple market and inn rooms/groups. Each can handle only a specific number of players at one time. When one fills up then the next that enters is shifted to another group.

First yes there can be a problem of an individual going to the market and not seeing anyone else there. It is an intermitent problem with several possibilities being the problem. It is handled on an individual case and is not wide spread or consistent. This not what you were asking about.


Yes a server can be set up to perform multiple functions. There are currently only 2 servers used for the game itself and a separate oone for the chat and being able to see others in the markets, inn and on your farms. That server has all of the market/inn rooms. Yes you will have to continue trying to find each other if you are meeting someone specific there. There isn't any way to change that because each market or inn can only handle a set number of players.

Going anywhere on maps. After taking a break from FT i am still unable to see anyone on the market place or the inn, Ive used other browsers and still unable to see anyone to hire. pls help. thanks:(:(:(:(:(

Hi Shnookims :)

I moved your post to the thread for your problem.

Be sure that your plug is green when you arrive to market.

Also, you can try to change your language to any other in your preferences, the wrech.
Then reload the game, and change the language back to English US.

Do you use CCleaner? If you do could you have installed and enabled Kamo? If you have please uninstall Kamo and then reboot your computer as that can cause problems with seeing farmers at market.

Some antivirus software are also blocking the sites needed for Farm Town. It may have an additional setting to block tracking. Try checking if any of the following sites are being blocked by the browser that you use:
l1.slashkey.com
r1.slashkey.com

If your Antivirus software is blocking tracking and you are able to temporarily disable that setting you can see if that resolves the problem. OR, you can see if adding just those sites to exceptions in the anti tracking is enough to resolve your problem.

I just got a new computer and can not hire from market place, can not see any one to hire anywhere. What do i do to fix this issue. Its working fine on my laptop but not the desk top.

I am having trouble with the messages. It shows that I have one but I cannot get it to open and I am not able to look in the past history of who I have sent messages to. If another message comes in I can open and see it until I get to just one and then back to the same thing, I have closed the game tab and shut down my computer and restarted it and it is still there. Is there something else I can do to correct this?

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about messages as this has nothing to do with the current release.
Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and check your messages again.

I hope I am placing this in the right tread..
would love to see a message board where all neighbors receive the same message when required, like when we could use some help or to mention when we are out or anything like that!

I moved your suggestion post about a message board to the Help & Support thread about messaging. Under the current system of the game a message board can not be done as you ask. You can always ask for ingredients in your facilities and that will go to the Other Wall Requests for all your neighbors to see.

I have several items in my service facilities unchecked so that they dont get produced. do these get included in the non ingredient list?

Do you mean service facilities? Service facilities do not produce products, they only stock products that you made and stored from the related regular facilities.

Non-ingredients are any products that can not be used to make something else or can not be stocked in a service.

Non-ingredients (for me) includes any products that could be used to make other products or could be stocked in services but you do not own the facilities that are needed to make or stock them yet.

Removing a check mark from any product made in a regular facility or stocked in a service facility just prevents that product from being produced or stocked when using the Start All and Load All buttons. It does not prevent you from selling it using the non-ingredients lists at market if you were to use the Sell ALL button.

When you go to market to sell and you want to use the non-ingredients (for me) list to sell, if for some reason you did not want to sell something showing up in the list, there are other selling options you could use and check boxes on all of those products. For example, when using that list and a check mark is added on a product, using Sell Selected instead of Sell ALL would sell anything with a check mark, but not the products where the check mark was removed.

I meant if I deselect a product from the service facility?
for example Peach Slices, if I deselect it from the fruitstand so it doesnt use them until I have a decent stock. will it then become a non ingredient for me?

No it does not become a non-ingredient as you still have the facility. the Non-ingredients for me only sells the products for facilities you do not own.

I never had that error and I just went to markets without problems.

Please close everything in your computer and restart it.
See if the problem continues.

Do those errors prevent you from hire/being hired or sell/buy at markets? If you can work at markets without problems, then they could be something intermintent or your internet not getting all data.

Be sure that your browser and computer system are up to date.

Please be sure that when your are at markets the plug is showing green.

Also, when you click in Map, see if Room Language is set to English US. If not then change the language before clicking in any of the markets.

If those are ok, do you use CCleaner and have Kamo installed?
If so, please uninstall the Kamo as it can block the other players information so you don't see them.

If you don't have CCleaner it may be that your antivirus program such as Avast or any other online tracking blocker is not letting you see people at markets and you will have to remove them.

You were asked what anti-virus program you are using on your computer. The reason for the question is that some of those programs can interfere with you seeing others in the markets. Please tell us which anti-virus program you are using.

I run Avast which I have always had.
I also have Malwarebytes

I turned these off this morning, it made no difference. as there is more than just me with this problem there must be a problem your end

Avast is one of the ones that will interfere and prevent you from seeing others as those links to them are coming from another server which is the chat server.



It is not a problem with the servers or it would affect everyone as when the chat server goes down.

It doesn't mean anything that we know of. It is now the color you come in with before you click on any of the buttons. If you click on one button and then click to turn it off it changes to white.

I moved your post to the thread about the messages..
If you are talking about to symbol in the upper left of the box that shows the messages, that is for undoing any ignores that you have set. It doesn't keep you from opening the messages and then clicking reply to answer them.

When I hire someone in the market and they accept, 99% of the time I am unable to click on either option in the message box that pops up. I end up just x-ing out of the box. Sometimes it works for the first hire, but not often.

The Map is where you click to choose which market you want to go.

Please check your antivirus in case something has changed.

Have you tried to log out of the game and then log in again typing your credentials yourself?
Asking this in case you have a saved link in your computer to load the game.

Also, click in your preferences, the wrench, and check if it is set to English US or English UK.
