It's probably referring to the fact you need more FC to buy the smaller tools that is mandatory to own BEFORE the combine will work.
You must own both the 4x4 and 5x5 versions of BOTH the harvesters and plows before the combine works.

Actually for some people it says they need more coins to use the combine, which the devs have been previously alerted to :)

Something is drastically wrong with selling at the market....i am not getting my MONEY. Also, I refueled this morning and should have ended up with over 700,000 and I got 3000....I keep a record of my fuel consumptions. Will I be reimbursed for these things?

The devs are aware of the fuel and the money thing. Your products and fuel should still be in storage however.

love all the updates except for the notification at the bottom regarding who worked in my farm.. I hope there is a way to turn it off, coz the fact that i added people as my neighbors is enough to know that they will be the same people who will work in it... if you have 98 neighbors and you see notifications every second, i believe it adds time to loading the whole page now that you also enable their avatar or photos...

I have had to buy two harvest/plow machines. When I bought the first one for FARM CASH I put it on my farm then into my storage. I then wanted to try it out on my own farm and it said I did not have enough coins to purchase. I had already purchased the tool in Farm Cash. I went to look in my storage it was not there. I I went back to the store and bought a second one not seeing the first one appear. I thought something went wrong. So I bought a second one and put that in my storage and then tried it out on my farm and it worked. I sent some old trees to my storage to plant maple trees. I then saw in my storage that I now was the proud owner of TWO HARVEST/PLOW machines. My farm cash has dwindled down. My question is Will you guys pls make it possible for me to send the second one to a neighbour who needs it but cannot afford it. Also I have several facilities two, three times now with the increases in production, cinnamon, and others is it possible to put in a feature that I can send these facilities I have in double, triplicate to a neighbour who needs it.
But for the HARVEST/PLOW machine I would like you to take one back and reimburse me for that portion of Farm Cash.

I bought five cinnamon factories for my farm to run everything I needed and ran out all the time.. Now since the update I have so much cinnamon so I purchased more of those essencial oil plants and put them on all the farms which is in the cost of coins.. You run the cinnamon in that and sell the completed products in the market.. it will provide you with tons of coins( which I do not need) We purchase these items to run our facilities.. why complain if they upgrade? Find other uses for them..

Friend Activity Panel- once we help the wonderful friends that help us out under the friend activity panel we should have a clear all option as they are lining up on my end... I have cleared cache' and global as I was hoping this would clear them out. Can you have a clear all option added to this area if at all possible..

Just to confirm for the developers... you have lost all fuel tanks from your storage after clicking refuel?

it shows I have 3,020 after I refuel but however it still shows I have 3020 in refueling station and saying I can only refuel once a day next time will be 1 hr 50 mins. In storage I have 74 as gifts.

I guess every 2 hrs I can get 3,020 but I want what I earn not just a little every 2 hrs. 3000 will not even do my farm.

I pay slashkey $20-40 a month to buy things all I want is them to reverse whatever this update did to the fuel. I can't even use the cool tools now.

Mary sorry to hear you have been ill, and glad to hear you are on the mend.
As for the service facilities, the devs are working on making it possible to have your friends help you with them. In the meanwhile they ARE actually earning you a lot of money, I think it's 50% more than if you sold those items directly at the market place.

I sold all the fuel in storage except for 120 units, but when I went to refuel all it show was 5 units from the refinery. I harvested the fuel that was currently in the refinery and it still only showed 5 units. I cleared my cache and macromedia files and no difference. Then I worked a neighbors facilities and it show 8 from the refinery. I worked as many neighbors as I could find from the last 2 days and finally got 120 units and fueled up, but all the fuel that I had in storage from my own refinery (343 units) was lost. I hope this is going to be fixed soon. I can't get enough fuel to work 9 farms and supply my 2 trucks and ordering station otherwise.
It's not adding in fuel from gifts either.

On the next release we will make several improvements to the gifting system and provide the capability for specific products and crops leveling, each product and crop will have 5 or 10 different levels, based on the total amounts of products done or crops harvested. The level will be used in the future to grant you different benefits.

When I am hired to work on other people's farms, I see a lot of people have implements, (harvesters, etc.) sitting out on various farms. I don't think they understand that they only need 1 of each and to keep it in their storage so that it can be accessed from any farm.

I understand we only need one of each in storage to use it wherever. I just got caught up in the excitement of new stuff, had a brain fart and bought the second one. LOL

Some facilities when rotated one way will have the words backwards if you rotated it the other way it will be corrected. This is because of mirror images being used.

I have purchased the new Service Facilities as they were released. I was wondering when the Extra Help we can ask for is going to happen. IT SAYS SOON. Those facilities are VERY slow to process making the waiting time for the product double the time. I do not feel it is worth the extra time, with help, yes, but otherwise just put some of your product in the facility and sell the rest as normal until they finally get around to changing it.

Hi, there seems to be a Glitch with the FUEL at the moment, and they are aware, and since Fuel is a Bigger issue, i would assume this is why the 3 other facilities have not been released, i know they said tomorrow(meaning saturday), but they didnt know the Fuel issue would be a problem, cut them some slack..lol..remember the two week flowers? :eek: oops...patience;) im sure it will be all sorted out soon..:)

Saturday, April 30. I have been testing once an hour, to see if I could sell only one item at Market out of the many in my inventory.. At 2:00AM Pacific time, when I logged in I got the ""You have just won "X amount" of coins in the daily lottery"" pop-up. I then went to market and the ITEM ACTUALLY SOLD!! = ) The coins total incremented, and when I logged out and back in, the item had stayed sold this time!

The check box state is remembered from session to session so if you have a set of products that you always sell, you just need to check those products only once.

Once a product is selected it will show as selected on all the filters.

First...this is a great feature!! I work for several neighbors that (for example) have the cosmetics factory. But I have chosen not to buy the Beauty Salon Service Facility, so I was having to go thru the storage and sell each item individually. Now all I have to do is go thru and check all of the cosmetics and sell them.
HOWEVER..... I also noticed that I had 6 bellpeppers that I had to harvest myself (my worker had missed them) When I checked the 6 bellpeppers, the 3000 + bellpeppers also checked. Luckily they were side by side in storage and I saw it right away.
Just want to caution everyone to double check before you sell. It seems that when you check and have multiple of same item...as gift, self-harvest, and hired harvest, it will automatically check all of them.
This is still one of the best features for me in a long time. I will just be diligent :)

They demand to have sent to them, Drivers License, social security numbers, bank account numbers, EVERYTHING ANY IDENTITY THEIF NEEDS TO DRAIN EVERY LAST CENT!!

Selling at market worked ok for me!
Make sure you write down the amount of money your supposed to get for selling the goods in case something goes wrong!

Major issue selling the Selected Items.
Went to Market, choose Flowers.
Now I had for example, Red Roses and Red Roses Large. I selected the Large items I wanted to sell and clicked Sell Selected Items and it sold ALL flowers related to the Large ones.
So I lost flowers that I had thousands of.
I'm not afraid to use this option with other items/products that I only want to sell the Large portion of.

I just got done harvesting 124 of my own walnut trees and i still only have 484 walnuts in my storage.

I will defend Farm Town most updates has no issue. Something went wrong this week and they are working hard to fix issues. A lot went wrong and a lot was fixed.

If this was Zynga I doubt they would have worked so fast to address issues. I spend $20-40 a month or so depending on what they have and this was the 1st time I seen problems.

Billing also offer to refund coins and FT $ for issues as they can't give back what was lost.

All of these items in the new release of the 28th of April sound wonderful. Wish I could get on my farm to see them. For some reason it will not load on "any" browser I have installed. I usually use Chrome but have tried to load it with IE and FF and no luck. It just keeps "loading user" and never gets there. Help please? Thanks

Is there any plan to fix the issue with the farm not "resetting" when you're done with the harvest and want to plow? Currently, when I click on the plow in the multiple, it doesn't reset from the harvest, so it's soooo slow to try to follow behind my avatar to plow....also the same with then going to do the trees, flowers, etc. the farms needs to "reset" or something, like it does when someone hire you for the indiividual jobs.... I'm thinking you're working on fixing this....I SURE HOPE SO!!! lol

I'm afraid I have to agree - I don't need or particularly want this feature either. I already know who does or sends what, and God knows anything that slows the game down unnecessarily or causes more connection time outs than there already are isn't a good thing.

I agree as far as those who work our facilities it is nice to see. However, since you are told in the gift box who sent a gift or ingredients, then that part of it should be removed.

To heck with the fuel problem. We need to be able to harvest stuff and have it show up in our storage before everything rots.
At this point ide be happy to be able to do this 1 plot at a time...
What good would gas do us if nothing shows up in storage when its harvested? Forget those buildings and fuel etc etc.

Just fix it so we can save our crops at this point. Put most important priorities first.

Have you tried using the sell selected items? once you've made the selections of what you want to sell, it is then remembered, then you can sell all those things with a single click everytime.

Something went wrong with April 7th release. Game is getting increasing slower with some functions. Facilities manager, working in neighbor facilities. Done all the cache clearing and replacing flash. Slow in both IE and Mozilla. Constant time outs. Can't plow new plots with out plower outline vanising. Flower and tree harveting is also slow.

i think some of us will agree that some of the new items are going miles away from the farmtown theme. also some of the older factories are now just not worth keeping due to either limited returns or the need for he crops elsewhere but since the cost real money not everyone would dump them so what do we do with them? Is it possible to have a trade in month so we could sell back the farmcash items at say 75% so those of us who cant afford in real life to spend money on here can update thier farms?

I appreciate the updates. Bought the 5x5 plower, 5x5 harvester and the combined 5x5 harvester/plower and tried to plow 5x5 and it isn't working at all. I get that server timed out message and the plowing never works.

Edited to add that yes I've cleared my cache and macromedia files and increased my macromedia storage space.

i never complain...ive been playing farmtown since 2009 and have bought alot of stuff with my own cash...it just seems lately all the good things like the tools you have to pay for yourself...im at level 210 -and i think its time for some new ideas

I am also at 210 and keep racking up XP, and getting nowhere since I can't level any further. Any news on when we'll get more levels? The last time you released new ones I maxed out the next day because I had earned enough points to immediately upgrade 23 levels. I like all the new stuff coming out, but it gets kinda boring when we work and get no where.

On the next release we will make several improvements to the gifting system and provide the capability for specific products and crops leveling, each product and crop will have 5 or 10 different levels, based on the total amounts of products done or crops harvested. The level will be used in the future to grant you different benefits.


So does this mean that in the near future we may have something like the 'other' farm game, sort of like a "crop mastery"? And if so, will all the stuff that we have planted in the past 2.5 years count toward it??

My older laptop was also heating up so I took it to a "computer doc". They told me that my air intake filters need to be cleaned once in a while. They did that, and guess what, no more heating up. You might check your filters to see if they're clogged. Clean with a dry brush or cloth.

I would like to add to what barbaraglnn has said. Laptops are compacted in to very tight spaces. Having your laptop cleaned at least once a year is really a necessity. Dust and particles will build up not just on the air intake but inside the laptop too. When that dust builds up enough around the processor module then it will start heating up and lead to shutdowns to prevent damage to it. The laptop needs to be cleaned thoroughly inside by a professional who knows how to do that.

It make too many unwanted overlay fields om my farm
Because the green square still have 4*4 shape, although it really work
And, 5*5 Plower doesn't appear in Plow icon tab. I've to access it by using Extended Toolbox.

First I want to comment on the "playing for a long time" comment. I had also become disabled three years ago and my daughter introduced me to FT. I simply fell in love with the game, although for a short period I lost interest in it when it failed to go forward with anything. Now it is the greatest and best played game I do. If it wasn't for FT and my new interest of teaching myself how to sew I would be lost. Yes, you need ur mind occupied in our situations and FT does that superiorly.
Now for the upgrades: I totally apologize for not getting on here with every new upgrade and congratulating the devs for such fantastic work. I am trying to make up for that now in saying since u began the equipments and the facilities and all upgrades going with them I cannot seem to deal well if I don't get on FT numerous times throughout the day. I just love it now ever so much than I ever did. I want to say it's definitely the best game because the devs work so hard to keep coming up with wonderful ideas, they work hard and deserve the highest of thumbs up for everything!! I will have to make it a point from now on to get on here and thank them with every new upgrade they come up with in the future and not just be the silent applauder.

Sell Selected with my Flowers, sold all my Flowers even if unchecked.
For instance if you had Rose and Roses Large, checked Roses Large it sold both.
I lost thousands of flowers needed to fill my Facility.

Ah-ha! I believe the mystery is solved with my combine working / not recognised. I realised it was only working on one farm. When I hid buildings to harvest flowers, there it was. It had been in storage, definitely, I saw it there - but had put itself back on the farm. Fingers crossed it's working now.

Also, why are the items from say the Sports Accessory Factory, that I got from working a neighbors factories, not showing up in the Non-ingredients filter so i can sell them with other non-use items? They don't have the green question mark in the corner that tells us info on the item, like were it's used.

we just released a new version of the game with the following features and bug fixes:

1. Mother's day items.

2. Product adjustments:

- tripled production in cinnamon factory
- cheese production is now twice as fast, 2 hours instead of 4, this is like duplicating production if you have enough milk
- salt received as gift now comes in batches of 200 instead of 100

3. Plower 5 x 5 (fc): if you already own the plower 4 x 4, then you can buy this new plower to plow up to 25 fields at a time.

4. Friend activity panel: right below the game screen there is a panel that shows you how your friends are helping you, like who: Sent you regular/farm cash gifts, sent you ingredients, worked at your facilities, worked at your farm, sold you products, watered your flowers, etc.

5. Sell all selected products in market: each product in the market window will have a check box in the upper left corner (except when using the non-ingredients filter). Also, there is a 'sell selected' button below the filter selector (top-right) that will allow you to sell all selected (checked) products in one click.

The check box state is remembered from session to session so if you have a set of products that you always sell, you just need to check those products only once.

Once a product is selected it will show as selected on all the filters.

Is anyone having a problem with the screen freezing up when an employee uses the harvest-plow combine? My farmtown just locks up and i can't move the cursor or the screen. I have to exit and come back in everytime, so now i don't hire multiple.

Level 210 is the top level currently so your counter for experience will continue adding them but the bar will not move until they add more levels. At that time you will jump up to whatever level you have the experience for.

Also, why are the items from say the Sports Accessory Factory, that I got from working a neighbors factories, not showing up in the Non-ingredients filter so i can sell them with other non-use items? They don't have the green question mark in the corner that tells us info on the item, like were it's used.

yes im having the freezing screen issue which i really annoying as for your last issue if its an end product it wont have a green question mark and it wont go into non ingredients as it goes into a service facility . Hope that helps x

I hate to bring up the past but I don't know if you were here when we were promised new flowers in 2 weeks *this was a year ago or so when this happened*. 2 weeks was more like 2 months, so they usually don't give a specific date anymore, which I think we were surprised when they said "tomorrow". But then again I don't think they thought that big of a glitch would affect the players gamewide :)

Just wanted to thank Raul and Devs again!:D The new harvest/plow combine is fantastic!:D It makes it fun to farm again...one process is eliminated, I've let farms stay idle cause I didn't want to harvest, plow, and plant, ( I have limited time, have to do real job to support my Farmtown addiction.) This thing is the best. OK maybe second to manure spreader.:D

I totally agree - I thought that sometimes all the silliness on FV was juvenile - breeding coloured sheep and asking for love potions!!! I dont think the Devs will go that route - they have strived hard I think so far to make this a more "serious" game with some element of fun - like Easter and the easter comp. But I think they are trying hard to keep those of us who are at the top of the levels interested and give us something to strive for. I like the idea of some recognition for planting thousands of crops other than getting farm coins and buying with them.

I now have unlimited gas is this intended? What I am getting is this 1,100,000 I then refill and it stays at 1,100,000. However if I add more it will go up and lock in at the higher number.

So I am getting unlimited gas because it doesn't reset to 0 after refill.

As the game develops, it is not un-expected that some upgrades will cost the price of the upgrade. It is not the same as buying that upgrade as if it were a stand-alone purchase.

Kinda like buying MSOffice 2010. You can buy it alone and pay big bucks, or buy the upgrade for less .... IF.... IF... you have the previous model. Either way, a new "player" could buy the older model and NOT have to buy the new one at a high price.

How much exactly would the combine cost if one had to buy the 4 by 4 and 5 by 5 plow and the 4 by 4 and 5 by 5 harvester and then buy the combine. Must be quite a bit of farmcash. I know most of us who came to love playing this game, didn't want to have to post thousands of posts on the wall in order to get cool items like the combine. However, in this game it appears that it is going to cost quite a bit of cash to be able to farm 9 or more farms and not spend the whole day doing it. I can imagine that another combine will be hitting the market in the future that adds seeding. It is great that some people can pay lots of real money to advance in games and that some people love getting tons of facilities without ever getting anything to make the game easier. But, the game has lost me. I still do not see any point in working hard at farming without any hope of getting any cool items such as the combine, just more farms and more facilities which take more farming in order to load. I don't want anymore facilities personally as it already has gotten boring loading them. I am top level, but don't suppose I will be after teh next levels come out and I don't see any reason to even work for more levels as all I will get for it is a bigger 9th farm and more facilities. I haven't seen any facility for quite some time that excites me enough to buy, even the farmcash ones. I still have some farmcash, but personally, there is nothing I want, except the combine, and don't have enough for that. Besides, from what I have seen the past year, this game is really only for those who spend real money on the game. The loyalty I showed this game for ever so long, has not earned me anything really. I started when it took forever to go up levels and even got people playing who can pay real money on the game, and I don't mind not being able to keep up with the Joneses, but there is nothing to work for anymore. I can farm to make more coins to expand my 9th farm. It is never ending. the 10th farm will come out and I can work to expanding it as well. If someone knows a point for a non cash playing, top level player, let me know. If I was creative, I could decorate, but alas, that has never been something I was good at. Never thought I would lose interest in this game as it was always my favorite. Oh well.

The improvements made to Farm Town and the ‘new’ tools have reduced the amount of time it takes me to do things. And ‘time’ and time alone is/are still the most important features that are in Farm Town. The reduced amount of time that it takes me to do things and the amount increased quantity from some facilities, like the cheese and the flour, and the fishing with bait makes this an enjoyable game and I still have time to work my neighbors farms, which I like to also do. Several of those farms are quite nice too look at, however, mine with the vanilla roads isn’t really one of them. Just to let you know I have started layering my farms 8 and 9 which is a new experience for me, at a small scale just to see how that all works out now that I have the necessary time to do that. I am still at level 210 and almost 9 million xp points. However if you all give me a truck that can move stuff from other farms say every 8 hours twice as much as the current method, I won’t need to continue to do that I feel. Then there is the question of farm 10 – 12 or making all the farms a bit larger.

My thanks to the programmers and the development team in making Farm Town such an enjoyable game.

May I make one suggestion -- at the risk of angering those of us who shelled out to get the 5x5 combine: Would it be possible to make a 4x4 combine available? :confused: That way this terrific option would be available to more people, although it would only do 16 fields at a time instead of 25. :cool:

Not sure about the 4x4 Combine. That is almost equal to the 5x5 when you consider how many fields are not wide open, and require working in various size locations.

But perhaps the simple 2x2 Combine which can be used at the farms of those who are a bit unwilling to "do the work" or "pay the price" of advancement which older players have dealt with. If you have a 3x3 or 4x4, you can get the 2x2 Combine "cheaper" than what a 2x2 would pay. IHMO there needs to be a definitive difference between high levels and low, $FC and coin etc.

I have a cousin who plays.... I am even considering the combine as a gift... because it would be fun to give it.

Folks that don't want to spend real cash on Farm Town, should do as I do and create another Avatar and use that to get farm cash with it and then they can buy the tool or facility that they want when the avatar has enough Farm Cash. I've done that 15 or so times and I know others that have done that at least 25 times.

There is no excuse other than not knowing when one is short of real money, like I am, one just needs to inovate.

If you have a 3x3 or 4x4, you can get the 2x2 Combine "cheaper" than what a 2x2 would pay. IHMO there needs to be a definitive difference between high levels and low, $FC and coin etc.

I have a cousin who plays.... I am even considering the combine as a gift... because it would be fun to give it.

I think your idea of a 2x2 combine is much, much better than my suggestion of a 4x4. You're right. A lot of us have worked long and hard to get to the top levels, and it's nice to have a few perks. ;)

But the combine is SO AWESOME, perhaps giving those who are still working their way up through the levels a teasing taste of what is to come would give them an additional incentive to keep working away! :) Maybe -- just maybe -- it might be a transportable tool so they would have a fighting chance to get work that otherwise goes to those with "the tools"!

I agree, where are the facilities we were promised "Tomorrow" which should have been days ago????? I know, I know there were problems and thats why they was probably delayed, BUT the problems have been fixed AND WHY put Facilities in the Market AT ALL if there not ready???

Sure I would (not). I enjoy going to the market, getting hired out, and working one patch at a time (not). I enjoy fighting for pineapples (not), and I really enjoy complaining that those with tools take all the work. (double not).

Gotta remember to set the clock so I can get up and harvest more raspberries, then plant potatoes...... (triple not - I never had it that bad !)

Just wanted to say thanks again for the harvester/plow combine.....this is the greatest thing since the manure spreader. Now that I have used it for a couple of days it's wonderful.

If you re-read the post, you will perhaps get a different understanding. No one has "accused" you of anything. There are simply some players who are unwilling to do the same work that long time players had to do. There are some players who want the tools, and the perks that others had to wait patiently for.

I understand there are many who are unable to buy the faster equipment. I understand that there are many who can buy multiples of everything.

I never equated broke with unwilling, nor has any poster that I have seen. Perhaps you just mis read.

After all, I was talking about those who were able to buy $FC tools, but wanted similar perks for smaller tools. If you have read the threads on some of the tools vs non-tools, you would have seen the number of players who, for example, wanted to use their 2x2 or 3x3 at other farms, like the 4x4 ($FC) can be used.

It's funny how every other game on Facebook will give farmcash if there is a problem or give meteor coins for being loyal players as well as farmcash for loyal players yet FarmTown gives absolutely nothing. Oh man - it's my favorite tool ever! I can whip through my farms in super fast time now - harvesting and plowing at the same time. With this tool, you don't have to wait for it to finish harvesting and then plow. You do it all at once. And I know that 5x5 shouldn't be THAT much bigger than a 4x4 but it sure seems like it is. I love this new tool.

and especially when you have 5-7 farms to harvest and plow so instead of me spending 15 minutes doing harvesting and 15 minutes doing plowing I can do both in 15 minutes :)

I think the delay is due to the unforeseen glitches they had over the weekend. They HAD to fix those first or they would have had a riot on their hands.

I absolutely love the combo harvest plow tool. It cuts the work in half. Thank you. I also love being able to hire multiple. It will be interesting to see if you can hire a person to do multiple work and multiple farms. Two "wish list" requests... first, I look forward to a tool that does the entire farm harvest, plow, and plant in one click. I hold out hope that this tool is not far off in the distant future. Second, Is it possible to purchase trees in multiple succession as you can the flowers? I would love to be able to click in as many trees as my heart desires, rather than go back and forth to store for each tree. Needless to say, I've been playing for a little while now, and love the game more each day. Thank you developers for a fascinating job ... well done!
