I'm actually hoping they don't add a 10th farm at this time. I hope they're focusing on shoring up what we've got. Get the functionality of all facilities useful. Make the single item (of few items) facilities better by adding more products, etc.

I have no problem emptying all my facilities within 24 hours for two reasons:

1) I time my posting when most of my neighbors are on, i.e., early evening, and

2) (and this is the most important one) I don't rely on my neighbors seeing my post. I TELL them I have posted!!

It's a simple matter of composing a short message, such as "Facilities full on Farms 1, 4, 5, 6, & 7." Then before I send it to the first neighbor, I copy it (CTRL C) and for every subsequent neighbor, I click in the message box and paste (CTRL V). I also paste the same message in the chat box for everyone who is on chat. It probably takes me all of 5 minutes, Do your messaging from a farm that isn't being worked so the chat box isn't opening every minute.

I have neighbors (and I only post for my neighbors to see) lined up 3 and 4 deep. Within a few hours, 75% or more product is complete and I restock so later arrivals will have plenty to work with. If I'm willing to stay on line for a while after I post, I restock every half hour or so.

BTW, if you don't see many people in the MP, click on the map and go to the MP again. Often it will take you to one with a lot of people. I don't know why, but it may be related to the servers.

Really really really hope in the next up date we don't get any new facitities and that they improve some of the things we already have like being able to store everything with one click from our gift box to our storage or if we have loads of cows as gifts we can put them straight into the barn with one click. Also would love to see ( and I think its about time ) and I know many many others have asked for these over and over again and thats new clothes for our avitar really think that the developers are slow to act upon this and this has been requested for month and months and months, also loads of requests have been put in for children for our play areas, adults for our towns, workers for our farms etc also the option to freeze our avitar cos waiting for her to catch up really slows the game down.

Have been playing since the begining when it was one plot at a time and only one farm, a lot of great things have been added and a lot of improvements have been made, but too much emphasis is being made on the facillities now we have more than enough of them for the moment it would be lovely to have a few updates that don't include new ones and improve some of the things we have already got:)

Thanks for all the hard work you put into the game I really do appreciate it and don't mean to sound ungrateful I really do LOVE farmtown and spend a lot of real money and a lot of time playing it. :)

Farm Town gets progressively better. I think that there is a seasonal thing going on. People are getting outside and have end-of-school-year commitments. Jobs are picking up, with construction and farming increasing. In short, real world things are occupying people's time. I think that this person is good to point out possibilities, but those are not the only ones. I have a lot of faith in these developers.

I love this game I want more land atlease a 10,11 and 12 or just a 10 and I would like to see them do a 3 x 3 and a 4 x 4 combine and more real like animals. I know there has to be more for this game. more facilities I do my own stuff. People will always stop playing and come back or there will be more that discover the game it is just the way it is. They do it with all the games but you have to love the game. I do love the games I play that keeps me playing them.

Have to disagree. I stopped playing because it was just too time consuming and I don't like having to buy 4 or 5 different facilities to get one product. Stacking factories to get just one product is not my cup of tea. ::Just sayin'::

That changed on this last update, put the tree on your farm then you can ask for your friends to gift it.

I think they have to keep giving us something I would not be interested if they where not new items. This game to me is fun because it does take alot of time. I love farmville but once you are done for the day you are done. They have something new everyweek. Gives me something to look forward too. If there is nothing new it will get old quick I think for everyone. I get to work my farm 2 or 3 times aday that is what makes it a game I like working my own farm.

one of my FT neighbors has Rheumatoid Arthritis and the combine is just super for her...... she barely could do much before she has even re decorated two of her farms, since getting the combine...... i told her about the yellow hand how much it helps and saves you time and less clicks she is happier now.......

Increase them to what? What would the tomato gift have to be to actually make a dent in the thousands of tomatoes you need to run the facilities that need them at full production? 200? 500? 1000?

The gifts should be things you can't grow or produce yourself. My FB gift page is filled with 25 x sugar and 15 x blueberries. Frankly, I don't get why people send this stuff in the first place -- it's not like it's at the top of the page. They have to actually scroll down to find it. When I'm accepting gifts, the "worthless" ones are last. Yes, you can exchange them -- thank goodness. But the animals, trees and baits are the ones I collect first when I'm short of time. Which seems to be most of the time, lately. :-)

So, I'm not saying "get rid of gifts." I'm saying get the useless stuff off the gift page.

Edited to Add: Sorry! Just realized this wasn't a "Suggestions" thread. So, to keep it OT -- I *love* the stuff in this latest release. The combine rocks. I've given up trying to hire people most days -- I end up cleaning up what they don't do, or have to hire several people because one only harvests, the other only plows. One will do trees, but not flowers. So, I haven't hired in a long time. The combine makes working my farms a breeze. Thanks!!!

That helps you move things around the farm without having to click on the item, then click on the command Move, then click to drop it where you want it. With the yellow hand you click to pick it up, move it where you want it and click again to drop it.

Please help me. Last month just before the new releases I was unable to get onto my farms three days in a row. NOw today I cannot access my farms again. I just get a white page when I try to go to my farms.

Also I have bought a combine harvest/plow machine when it just came out. I put it in my storage and wanted to use it and was told that I did not have one. So I thought something must have gone wrong and bought a second one. When I put that one in the storage and tried it out it worked. It was then that I saw that I had two combine Harvest/plow machines in my storage.

Would it be possible to reimburse me for one and take it back. Or give me the possibility of sending it as a gift to one of my neighbours. Pls advise

I use them all the time. Would love to see all gifts increased to 200. May not make much of an dent in what you need. but every little bit helps. Especially cows milk, Sugar, blueberries, Strawberries.

I use those gifts all the time. I wish you could buy all tress and not just recieve as gifts. Pain in the butt taking the trees from your gift box and putting them on your Farm.

But Keep those Gifts coming.

If they could install an ALL button in all of the facilities it would mean just one click. Or a general button fill all to capacity within availibility of crops in storage.
This filling of the facilities is becoming time consuming. So please developers do something about this.

I updated my Flash player last time. I even updated my internet explorer to the latest version. I uploaded google chrome and I uploaded Mozilla Firefox. And then I also did a defragmentation, I used CCleaner, I ran my Spybot and deleted a lot of stuff to make space available on my hard disk. All to no avail. I tried doing all that again this time and it says my flash player is up to date and I have the latest edition.
It's just not cooperating. When I try to access my farms it gives me a white page. That's all I get a white page.
Last month I got a green page after 2 days. And then on the third day I could access my farms again and that was the day that there were the new releases.
So let's keep our fingers crossed today is the first day, the white page day, tomorrow ill be the green page day and then saturday will be the day there are new releases. Let's see if my predictions are correct.
Hope there are things to facilitate working the facilities as that is taking ages and I also read and have the same problem people don't come to work in the facilities anymore as it is too time consuming. Having to go from farm to farm and click on everything. What I do is I tell my neighbours about the link I put on the wall to come work and then get messages asking me if it's worth their while to come or not. On the market people are no longer interested in working on the fields and I end up most of the times doing my harvesting myself.
The game is running it's final stages I think. I hope the developers will be able to inject some excitement into the game or it will go down the drain like so many other games have done in the past.
Hope some developer will read of my predicament and help me come up with a solution to my problem of not being able to access my farms.

3 more farms would drive me around the bend. I will just have to add more river sections I guess. :D

being hired in the Market place to work facilities, to me, would now be a good ides since neighbors are working mine less and less. I likd the coins I get from the facilities and I do need them since I still have 2 upgrades on farm 7 & 9 to go. :eek:

Having to go from farm to farm and click on everything. What I do is I tell my neighbours about the link I put on the wall to come work and then get messages asking me if it's worth their while to come or not. On the market people are no longer interested in working on the fields and I end up most of the times doing my harvesting myself.
The game is running it's final stages I think. I hope the developers will be able to inject some excitement into the game or it will go down the drain like so many other games have done in the past.
Hope some developer will read of my predicament and help me come up with a solution to my problem of not being able to access my farms.

not sure of the age of your PC ok..... another thought could be that your Graphic's Card needs updates......... i have been taking my pc to a friend that checks on all that for me any time i have troubles.... he's a Computer Genius/geek.... lol but you what the bible says about that though..... "The Geek shall inherit".......

You have to remember its turning spring time and summer soon to me here. People are spending less time at their computer and more time out side. I know I am but I still get my farming done.

Increase them to what? What would the tomato gift have to be to actually make a dent in the thousands of tomatoes you need to run the facilities that need them at full production? 200? 500? 1000?

The gifts should be things you can't grow or produce yourself. My FB gift page is filled with 25 x sugar and 15 x blueberries. Frankly, I don't get why people send this stuff in the first place -- it's not like it's at the top of the page. They have to actually scroll down to find it. When I'm accepting gifts, the "worthless" ones are last. Yes, you can exchange them -- thank goodness. But the animals, trees and baits are the ones I collect first when I'm short of time. Which seems to be most of the time, lately. :-)

So, I'm not saying "get rid of gifts." I'm saying get the useless stuff off the gift page.

Edited to Add: Sorry! Just realized this wasn't a "Suggestions" thread. So, to keep it OT -- I *love* the stuff in this latest release. The combine rocks. I've given up trying to hire people most days -- I end up cleaning up what they don't do, or have to hire several people because one only harvests, the other only plows. One will do trees, but not flowers. So, I haven't hired in a long time. The combine makes working my farms a breeze. Thanks!!!

Yes you are right I also stated it higher up
In each facility ALL buttons for ALL facilities (not only the meat truck)
and the 5x5 seeder. Also the 5x5 flower harvester. That's a MUST too.
Hope they give that all to us.
Without the ALL button in facilities it's getting to be a long slow job to fill them up. I usually fill them up to the brim. Flowers for example you have to click 25 times on the 30 button to fill each flower up completely that's a lot of time consuming clicks. So Pls developers of Farm Town

Do you layer your farms?

meaning trees or flowers over plots crops over crops etc?

if so that may be a reason farmtown can handle layering but done in excess can cause farm corruptions and loading probs

maybe send a private message to one of the mods and ask for a data clean.

and then keep layering to a minimum or not at all

Yes the developers do read the posts here :) When you have a problem with the game you should post in "Help and Support" where it is much more likely to be seen quicker ;)

I've just gone back through and read all your posts. It's sounding like you are having connection errors which can be due to internet traffic and servers being busy or a security program/ firewall blocking the game.

Could you please try these..........

Restart your router, close browser and then try reloading the game. Make sure that no other programs are running including email, music etc, all other browser tabs are closed, so the the game is the only thing you are doing or trying to load on your laptop.
If that doesnt work please click on the following link and run the tests near the bottom of the page, in post 1 on page 1, to test your server connection. Let us know what the results were.

I do all my own farming and enjoy it and it does not really take all that much time per day if you have not got enough time may i suggest you slow down and smell the roses so to speak and enjoy the game or have less farms.

There is nothing wrong with the forklift it works fine for most people, including myself. So the problem has to be with your computer. Try refreshing the game before you use the forklift, and leave a longer gap between each click for store

yes, the forklift allows you to move all products from facilities to storage, one click per facility instead of 3-8 clicks per facility. ok. In facility manager, when i put the facilities in "done" order, then start clicking "Store, Store, Store" it times out. that's NOT time saving if I have to reload.... its not my computer. i click quickly on fish and it doesn't time out.

the forklift could do more - like move gifts to storage or be used on neighbors facilities ... to add value.

all i'm saying is that the forklift is NOT worth 40fc as is... just a warning for people considering it.

spending FC on big plow or harvest tools, they ARE worth the time saving.

I agree and disagree - yes it takes time - I have 80 facilities (1 of each plus two or three of some) plus two cow sheds, chicken coop etc. If there was an ALL button for loading them it would only work if you had sufficient ingredients - a lot of the time I have to carefully share out things in order to make all the products rather than putting all my eggs or onions in one basket.

I agree it IS time consuming but so was changing farms then clicking on each building to open it and then having to click 40 times for some things to load them to max in order to stock up so the manager and the 30 button are a great improvement.

Perhaps there is a programming problem with an all button that takes things from storage - the semi-trailer uses coins so doesnt need to check for sufficient stocks. This may also be why we cant get friends to work our service facilities yet - because it would have to reward them with coins not a % of goods and I guess there is a problem with programming that too. Any sort of pop up menu is notoriously hard to programme.

By suggesting waiting between clicks they are not meaning you have to wait a long time between clicks. However, if you think about it when you click to Store All you are storing anywhere from 1 up to 12 items in storage at once. The computer has to calculate all the changes to storage that is being done then store the number. If you hesitate until the text starts floating up, a second or two, then things will go smoother and it is a time savings as well as motion savings over having to open the facility then click to store each individual item.

I use the facility manager daily. I have no trouble with it loading or emptying promptly. I do maintenance on my puter weekly and have now gotten in a habit of also clearing the macromedia files as well. You might check the memory/ram on your puter. Happy Farming !:)

Posting help for one facility gives your friends the ability to go to each facility on each farm.:)

One 'help' request DOES enable your friends to work in ALL your facilities. It sounds like you are requesting help for each individual facility which is not necessary

Load all your facilities.............then (pick a facility) click the Produce faster button. It will post to your wall and also your neighbors wall. They in turn need to visit each farm that has facilities on them. * you only post once :)

This is not a true statement. They used to delete the update threads when a new update came out so you can not go by the list of update threads in this section. Now while it is true that we have had at least one update a month for some time now that does not mean we will get one this week.

I really don't think it is RAM I have 6 gig of RAM on my new laptop and it is slow too. Sometimes slower than others and I think it depends on which browser I am using. Firefox is the one I usually use but I think for working the facilities it is slower than Chrome or IE. But I do agree it is very time consuming, I don't have all the facilities but close to it and some I have more than one of spread out over four fields. Takes any where from 30 minutes to an hour to work. I think the use of an ALL button like we have in the semi-trailer would be helpful. I would not be able to use it on everything but for items that we consistently have to hit the 30+ but 10 - 20 times like the Essentials Oils Plant, it would be very helpful and cut time down.

upgraded the RAM several months ago (specifically for this game) and the tech who did the work said "you really don't need that much you know". I use Firefox most of the time and always clear caches and macromedia.

I work around it by using facility manager to empty the buildings and the old-fashioned way to load them.

What is the level of storage that you have set for the macromedia files? This should be at least 100KB, but 1 - 10MB would be better. This is the file all the images are stored in.

does the facility manager work well for all of you?

I like it for clearing out products that are done, but it takes forever to use it to load up facilities because it times out or slows everything up (won't work until the picture of each place reloads and sometimes that takes a long time). So ... I only use it for half the intended purpose. Still go farm by farm and facility by facility to load them.

thanks for more hints ... I've had the setting at 100KB but when I clear them, it's rarely more than a few KB to clear. I changed that setting to 1MB but doubt that will do anything since it's not even getting to the 100KB.

Now that's just plain weird ... I logged into IE and then to facilities manager and it works the way it's supposed to. Won't have to remind myself to use IE for that function.

Yes - Google is much better than IE or Firefox - I cant get on with Firefox at all! In Google Tools there is an option to clear only the cache and also a link to manage the macromedia files for the Flash player.

They really need to do something about the amount of time it takes to play. Clicking everything was ok when there was one farm and a few facilities but now there is way to many things to click on. I haven't done any serious playing for a while now because the clicking is tedious. click, click, click, click, click, click....

but on a positive note, the game has really progressed and the updates add a lot to the game.

I also have switched to google chrome for FT. Firefox is used for everything else that I do. Since Firefox 4 was installed, everything on FT got very slow and I had many timeouts. Very few with chrome.

I don't work my friends facilities as much as I would like, but if I hide trees, buildings, flowers, etc., it really doesn't take that long -- certainly not 20 minutes. The neighbors I absolutely won't work for are the ones who have dozens of animals on their farms, and don't put them in the "barns." You can't hide those, and that *does* seem to take forever.

Using Chrome, though, has made a huge difference. For some reason, on this new computer, Flash (which is updated) seems to crash a lot -- but that's not exclusive to FT. :-)

Try turning off trees, flowers, buildings and decorations. The page loads way quicker and you can work the facilities more easily. I was having this problem too, didn't realise you didn't need to be able to see them to work them

I CAN TELL A DIFFERENCE ON ALL MY GAMES :p Even Frontierville has quit crashing!!! ;) .. and the issue on FV was fixed too!!!

So for anyone having game issues ,,, maybe try uninstalling your browser and re installing it .. might be that somehow your browsers got 'corrupted' enough to cause slowness and loading issues :p can't hurt to try .... :) Just a thought ..

As the game "ages", and levels and # of farms becomes a little blah.... it will be interesting to see what the creative juices in the devs minds will come up with.

But then , there are many good/great ideas from the players which the devs can and may actually be working on.

I think a "Phase II" would be of great interest to older players,and also something newer players would try for. The Phase II would have its own store of buildings, tools, etc, and start with one or two farms and grow. Sort of a Farm Town II, or advanced, or more difficult game.

I COMPLETELY second that thought ... PLEASE no goals like the "ville" games. And please don't make FT a fantasyland. We like it looking and feeling like we're real farmers and entrepreneurs, or at least having that option depending on the decorations and facilities we choose.

I think I speak for most of the longtime players in that we have our own goals and plans for achieving them. It will definitely be interesting what the devs have come up with for the next phase.

It doesn't have to be set up like the "ville" games, but they certainly could enhance the whole trophy achievement aspect of the game to give us something else to work towards. there's goals and there's goals. I certainly wouldn't mind the devs giving us something to shoot for other than new levels & more farms. I just had a read of the last few pages to this thread, checked my facilities, all my pending stuff is intact. Yesterday it took about 6 mins to log in so to me that is slow, I don't want to boast (hell, yes I do) but it usually loads in under a minute. However, yesterday during the game I got timed out a few times and it went really sluggish for about 30 mins so I am hoping that is a sign of new stuff coming our way. I'm emptying my facilities ready to move them around on the NEW FARM. Hinting here :-) Love this game. No, not addicted (hell yes I am). Wheeeeeee! Friday morning, finished work, am home now for the weekend. Ready and hoping for the new update to happen. :)

It does, i have 12 gig ram and 14 gig cpu and it still lags up sometimes if i use my combine too fast :P

The last flash update seems to be alot better then the previous 3-4 though, i think alot of people "blame" farmtown for the reallyreally bad flash versions we had the last 6+ months :)

It does, i have 12 gig ram and 14 gig cpu and it still lags up sometimes if i use my combine too fast :P

The last flash update seems to be alot better then the previous 3-4 though, i think alot of people "blame" farmtown for the reallyreally bad flash versions we had the last 6+ months :)

FT will operate nicely on 2 (been there done that), very nicely on 3 and 4.

I have 6 with only a i5 duo core and I fly..... I can't click fast enough with the combine, it is always right with me.

Methinks you must have another issue if you have 12 with lag... :confused:

Even something like Worlds of Warcraft will play great with 6 and a quad

It doesnt lag alot, only if i click really fast when im in a hurry, and yes, i do play world of warcraft on Ultra settings, im a big nerd with a big nerdy pc :)
Im not complaining, i load my farms in 3-4 seconds, im just saying sometimes it just lags, and i suspect its the flash players fault, not FT :)

I hope we get an update. I can't believe we still have mothers day stuff to gift. That is probably the only negative thing i have to say about farm town. They take too long to switch out holiday stuff. Other than that, I love the game!!!

I just had a read of the last few pages to this thread, checked my facilities, all my pending stuff is intact. Yesterday it took about 6 mins to log in so to me that is slow, I don't want to boast (hell, yes I do) but it usually loads in under a minute. However, yesterday during the game I got timed out a few times and it went really sluggish for about 30 mins so I am hoping that is a sign of new stuff coming our way. I'm emptying my facilities ready to move them around on the NEW FARM. Hinting here :-) Love this game. No, not addicted (hell yes I am). Wheeeeeee! Friday morning, finished work, am home now for the weekend. Ready and hoping for the new update to happen. :)

LOL yup it is........ see out here in South GA on the farm...... we are miles away from town and they don't have the phone lines capable of having DSL or cable TV yup no cable TV either lol but on the upside.... we now have trash pick up we got that last year lol lol no more burning trash and hauling garbage to the dump lol lol
