When I hover over a players profile pic during the quests the word (Deleted) is after every person's name...... Why is that? What is it for?

That is a small glitch that happens from time to time.
Please reload the game and check if you get the your neighbor name instead of Deleted.

I do like doing quests! I don't mind buying facilities with coins if I don't have it. But right now I have 3 quests that are to the finishing point and all of them call for facilities that I don't have and costs farm cash. I think this is very unreasonable! I am trying to upgrade my tools, and they take a lot or fc. I think it would be nice if we would have a heads up as to what facilities are needed to finish that quest. At least if it takes farmcash! Please I am pretty disappointed about this. I have worked hard, and wasted time in getting these quests done. Pleas do something about this.

When you open a quest, you can click in every facility you need to finish your quest.
When you click in the facility picture, no matter if the step is greyed, you will see which items you need to produce and on the upper right corner, a picture of the facility. If you hover your mouse over the facility pic, you will see its name and if you own it.

i'm a little late to this party. Quests weren't in when i stopped playing. I recently started playing again and discovered them. The co-op quests don't make any sense to me. We have to buy all the items to make a product or dish, then buy the product or dish? Why? I can understand going to your neighbors to buy everything needed to make something. But why do i also need to buy the finished product? If i bought all the stuff to make something, i want to make it. It seems like a waste to me. I'm just curious as to the reasoning behind that idea.

If making the item is the last step of the quest then you do make it in your own facility. If the last step is to load then you have to own the service facility to load it into. You always have to do the last step in your own facility. The objective is to get help from your neighbors for all except the last step.

Just curious as to how long a day is in FT. I know it's 19.9 hours when you plant one day crops. However I've been getting the message to come back in 1 day for over 24 hours since I completed 13 quests. How am I supposed to know when a day will be up?? I hope I don't go past the deadline (whatever it might be) and have one quest deleted as has happened in the past. Thanks.

For quests a day is 24 hours. When the time gets below 24 hours then it will give hours and minutes instead of days.
Your time for collecting farm cash will be exactly 7 days to the second after the last time you collected.

I am going to add to this. EVERY WEEK SINCE THE NEW TASTE OF'S CAME OUT I HAVE GOTTEN AT LEAST ONE IN EACH OF THE QUESTS. You can't tell me that it is random!!! I NEVER get the coin ones that I have purchased or the one FC one I purchased. I can see why people are complaining!!!!! :mad:

On some quests , i do all it asks to do but the very last part of quest will not finish so I can complete the quest. then time runs out. Why will some not complete and others do?

Sorry for the delay to respond to you.
All quests have a time limit to be completed, you will see that time at the top of the quest screen and it says something like (this quest expires in xxx days) and that time keeps decreasing till the quest expires if you dont complete it on time.
Try to not wait till the last moment to start the last step as not all items needs the same amount of hours to be completed.

I have to agree with you Jean. I have had a little time to go back to quests recently and it seems that the 'random' choice is at it again requiring me to buy cash facilities that I don't have in order to finish my quest. It does make me wonder why those prepared to work for extra farm cash would bother with such little reward for the effort when finishing requires the purchase of a facility costing 32 times the probable reward :( I now remember that is part of the reason I quit them in the first place. I now can't open another quest for 20 hours and hope that I have the required facility for it. It puts you right off doing them - for the HUGE reward of $1 farm cash a week :mad:
This was all discussed in the forum years ago when they were first brought in, but it seems that the only purpose of them is to make more money from the purchase of $$ facilities because the developers have still done absolutely nothing about it. We are not given an 'option B' to open a second 'random' choice of quest... only two chances allowed per day... We are told that the quest will be 'specially created' for us, but if that was the case we would own the facilities for which the quest is created :(

7 a week is more realistic as 8 means you have to get up in the middle of the night to accomplish this...which for some busy people is a very unfair thing to ask. If you don't do this, you can bet one of your quests will drop off the total. Not everyone can afford to get all the facilities and those just starting out are finding it harder and harder to get ahead.

8 is easy. after collecting your FC for the week, don't finish your first week's quest until it's going to drop off. this makes your week push back a bit giving you some room if you get a quest you don't have a facility for.

I understand what you are saying, but I have a strategy that works. When I collect FC for one quest, I do not immediately start the next one. I open every quest, but do not finish one for 3-4 days. That gives me time to open 8 quests that I can finish. I also do not harvest the first crops or trees needed at first because I don't want working my facilities to start them before I'm ready. It works for me. I get 2 FC for quests every 8-10 days.
I also use this strategy for the CoOp quests. I get on the computer before work just to send ships and open a CoOp quest. Then I can open another that evening. I don' have all of the FC facilities, so almost every week there is one i can't do. Sometimes I settle for 1 FC instead of 2, but ANY FC is better than 0 FC!!

I'm increasingly disenchanted with the personal quests. I seem to be "lucky" in getting quests that:
1. are several levels above me (currently level 129 and in need of a structure from level 287)
2. can only be completed by purchasing structures with FarmCash (not happening).
I suppose it's "possible" to leap from level 129 to 287 in the allotted 5.9 day timespan, but realistically, not happening.
I don't know how these quests are generated, but is there a better QC?

WHY does it seem EVERY time I need a lifeline for a product made by a FACILITY I don't own I get the "trade in the marketplace" lifeline. You can't trade for PRODUCTS in the marketplace!!! I NEVER seem get "work a neighbor's facility". PLEASE lets us trade PRODUCTS. PLEASE!!!

I believe if you get a neighbor or someone in the market place to sell you what you need for the quest that is considered "trading". I would get a neighbor as they won't gouge you for the highest amount like an unknown person would in the market. I have my harvest buddy sell me what I need. We use the cheapest price and I sell it right back to him.

John is asking to let us trade products from facilities as part of the Trading lifeline. You can only trade primary products (like crops, flowers, fish etc) but not products made in a facility :)

I think the dev's have caught on to that because I'm finding I have to open the next quest before the button turns blue to collect my 1 FC and if I don't collect it right away I lose it
I am also getting more and more quests that require 1 or more FC facilities.

I am also seeing more and more that when I try to load something in a facility for the last step of the quest I have to add one more of the product to my storage before I can load it into the facility even if I already have 25,000 or more in my storage.

To me within 24 hours of a new facility being released I have on 3 occasions had them as a quest. That is a bit unfair in my opinion. Can't the developers postpone those being added to the quest for at least 24 hours or preferably 48 hours.

I wish that FT had never started on the various "Taste Of" facilities. I like owning restaurants, and that is one area where I've consistently spent FC to purchase facilities. After all, the original concept of FT was farming, and farm produce goes into food, so restaurants are a logical outcome. I've always been far more interested in them than most of the other facilities, and I've loved the introduction of restaurants that incorporate cuisine from all around the world. And, especially since most of the restaurants cost FC (and why is that, anyway?), I've liked that there was no corresponding service facility to spend even more FC on.
Alas, that last bit is no longer true with the introduction of "Taste Of" facilities. While the restaurants in general are attractive facilities/buildings, I think the "Taste Of" facilities look stupid. They are not a logical outcome of the restaurants and do not correspond to anything in real life, but have clearly been introduced for the sole purpose of providing a means to increase profits from restaurants. I'm simply not interested in spending more FC on this concept.
This would be fine - I never felt a need to own every facility or follow every new thing that FT puts out - except that unfortunately for me, it also means that quests that I could once have completed by owning a restaurant, I will no longer be able to if the product needs to be subsequently loaded into a "Taste Of" facility. I love doing quests, both regular and cooperative. I accept that I can't do them all because there are many facilities I don't own, but this introduction of "Taste Of" facilities just adds a sour "taste" to this aspect of the game.

I can’t help but disagree I think I’d you feel that way use the option free. You don’t have to pay to play it’s a game
Obviously the devs need to make cash so need new ideas.

I am not exaggerating when I say 80% of the lifelines I try to use will not work for what I need. I get gift lifeline when I need to work a facility or buy at the market when it is a product of a facility which you can't buy at the marketplace, for example. So 4 out of 5 lifelines are useless. VERY frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not exaggerating when I say 80% of the lifelines I try to use will not work for what I need. I get gift lifeline when I need to work a facility or buy at the market when it is a product of a facility which you can't buy at the marketplace, for example. So 4 out of 5 lifelines are useless. VERY frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lifelines are assigned randomly just as the quests are. According to your data for your farms out of the last 20 quests you have done you have only requested 1 lifeline, so I am not sure where you get 80%.
If you wish to make a suggestion about changing the life lines then please post it in the Suggestions section.

Quests for facilities that I have not & will not purchase, because I don't have the FarmCash. The only way I can earn FarmCash, is to complete the Quests. But, I can't complete the Quests until I've earned enough FarmCash. It's a never ending cycle. How am I supposed to earn FarmCash, when the Quests won't give me assignments with factories I do have?
Why is the system programmed to choose facilities that you don't have?
I know for sure, that they've programmed the system to choose factories that you don't have, in hopes that you'll purchase them. I understand the need for add't income. But, that is not the way I recommend earning income for the business. It's not just a coincidence that this acct, 2 out of 4 Quests are for facilities I don't have, versus another acct I have, with all the factories.
Please, advise the developers that the game should be User friendly, not Company friendly. The company will continue to receive income, but, if you look at statistics, you will find that a company that becomes greedy, loses in the long run. A good company will last when there's a balance between the companies needs and the players needs. When you offset that with making the Companies needs more important than the game players needs.
Maybe I'm wrong and it really is just a trillion to one odds that 1 out of 3 factory quests are with a facility I don't have, and for those odds to happen for 3 full months continuously, it becomes to look like it's very unlikely to be a coincidence.
I'm just asking that the dev's change the ability for the computer to choose facilities that we do have. I don't see any reason why the change can't be done. I would prefer to know that the Company has the gamers needs a priority. It will affect the way new players also play the game. If they receive too many Quests with factories they don't have, it would be another reason to add to their list about why they would quit playing the game.
Please, please, do this for everyone! Most players already feel as though the companies greed ranks higher than gamers needs.

I have moved your post to the feedback area as you are not requiring help with a particular quest. All we can tell you is that a program randomly picks the quest you will get and it does not look to see what facilities you own.
Please, if you would like to suggest a change for this, all suggestions for the game need to go in the suggestions area of the forum, where all ideas are gathered together in one place for the developers to see. The choosing of what quest you get is done by a random number generator program. It does not know what facilities or services you own. The fewer facilities you own the higher the chance you will get a quest for a facility you don't own. I am sorry you have gotten so many quests for facilities you don't own, but it is just the luck of the draw.
You have already added a suggestion about this and that is all you or we can do. It will be up to the developers if they change this to only select from facilities you own.

I am wondering why I do not have a choice as to what i wish to sell people in these quests? most of the times the majority of items are greyed out, I think it should be MY choice what i CHOOSE to sell to people, NOT random items, I have plenty to sell of these greyed out items so why am i not allowed to choose what i sell? ( speaking of cooperative quests) i think it should be our choice. hopefully the devs see this.

You can only sell items to a neighbor when they put a Help Note on the items they need. You can only choose which item to sell from the ones they put a note on as they either already have the other items or cannot put a help note on them until they get the ones they have noted.
Once you have sold 1 item in a quest to them then you can not sell any more items to them in that quest. Those are the rules.
If you want to make a suggestion to change them please post your suggestion in the Suggestions section and not in General Feedback. You can not start a new thread there but you can reply to one that fits your suggestion.

I am unable to access the suggestion forum link but I do think something should be available to bypass the quests that you can't complete because you don't have the facility needed to complete the last step. I get a lot of co-op quests that I can't complete because the last facility is not available at my level. It would be great if the programmers could put in a "pass" button in the top right for just such an occasion instead of the daunting task of programming around a particular users abilities. Just let us decide if we want to pass on the quest and free up room to take on a new quest, otherwise, (and this has happened) we are full and don't have any quests we can complete to earn our farm cash and participate with our neighbors.

You can access the Suggestions section. You juist can not start a new thread there. This is to keep the suggestions organized by subject for the developers to see. You will need to reply to one that fits your suggestion.

not very happy as i actually managed to do 8 quests this week and it was showing so at 6min before ending, forgot about it til this after noon then it was telling me i had done 6 and only got 1 farm cash so ripped off. now im gonna have to buy loads of huts just to compensate. :(

I am sorry but quests are only good for 7 days exactly to the second for collecting farm cash from the time the last step is completed. As you waited so long after the time to collect then 2 quests were then beyond the 7 days.

If you will give me a link to your farm I can give you specifics of why you lost the 2 quests. Going to your farm and copying the address does not work as that is a generic link that takes us to our own farms. The automatic linking does not work either so you will have to create one and paste it here in a reply. Please follow the instructions on how to do that are in the following link:

It only takes 1 minute beyond that 7 days for a quest to not be counted. This is why we recommend that any quests you are holding over you don't start the last step until a day after you have collected. By doing this you give yourself a buffer of time in case you don't collect on time.

I have said this before and I will say it again. THE COMPUTER PICKS FOR THE QUESTS ARE NOT RANDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had two co-op quests that sucked up two spaces for the better part of at least a good week. One of them is still there for another 12 hours. Guess what I just got???? Another one that will suck up another space for 5 DAYS!!!!
I have facilities that I have NEVER gotten for a quest. Three times in a week and a half is NOT RANDOM. It is a pattern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have spent an obscene amount of money on this game. I have every facility but the newest Taste of's. I can't afford to spend the money anymore.
This is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to buy olives and olive oil and tomatoes and ketchup. Why should we have to buy olives and tomatoes when we don't have to make the olive oil and ketchup? Same with the ice cream sandwich co-op. Why do I need to buy strawberries when I also am buying strawberry ice cream? And wheat when I am also buying flour, sugar cane when I am buying sugar and cocoa's when I also am buying chocolate liquor. That is a waste of coins.

I am still receiving Quests for Facilities that I don't have. The purpose of Quests, is to earn FarmCash. How can I earn farmcash when I can't complete the Quests? I don't know why they can't program the game to pick the facilities that the player has.

I moved your post to General Feedback thread about quests, since you are not asking about a problem that we can help with in the forums.
The quests are given to you randomly. You chance of getting a quest for a facility you do not have is just as great as getting one you have the facilities for.

You can not tell me quests are random. Right now my wife has four quests and every one requires a FC facility she does not own. EVERY ONE! There is not a single quest out of the four she can complete. And those are 4 of the last 5 she has gotten. Random, i don't believe it!!!

I moved your post to the General Feedback subject thread about quests as you are not asking a question or problem that we can help with.
I am sorry you don't believe that the quests are assigned randomly and understand why you would think that, but the quests are randomly assigned by the program. Depending on how many facilities you own or don't own determines your chances for getting a quest that you have a facility for versus one you don't have a facility. The program does not look at what facilities you have or don't have before assigning your quest.

What I am saying is why should we have to buy ingredients for strawberry ice cream for example for the co-op quest Load Ice Cream Sandwich into a Facility when no where in the quest are we required to go to the ice cream factory to make the ice cream because we are also buying the ice cream. We could just buy the ice cream and the chocolate chip cookie and then load the ice cream sandwich. It's wasting coins and adding unneeded steps to buy the sugar strawberries cocoas etc when we aren't actually making anything with them.

I don't believe they are random either. Not when around every new release I and all my quest neighbors get the same quest at the same time requiring the same just released FC facilities.
Not long ago I had the exact same co-op quest to load a glass bowl decor in a facility 3 times in a row. One after the other. At the same time I had quest to make the glass bowl decor in the regular quests. How is that random?

That is, that the algorithm has no knowledge of the previous choices it has made, and so those cannot influence its new choice. It cannot exclude a facility it has chosen previously. It cannot choose to pick a coins facility if it previously picked an FC facility because it has no memory of what it has picked previously.
Y'all need to study probability a bit more.

6 days in a row of FC facilities being required. Kinda shuts down activity on Quests. I accept that they are 'random' but why are FC facility even listed in the ones available to be selected. In the past, when I really needed to complete the quest, I bought the FC facility required, but never used it again. Just that one quest. Now Quests are blocked by 5 long term (5 days or more) quests that all require FC facility so I have to wait for them to expire to even play another day.

I think you're right. it seems as if the balance of fc vs coins facilitys are approx 50-50 that it would be hard for it to select fc facilities 6 days in a row, but I guess that can happen. but the likliehood of anyone having one out of 3 or 4 fc facilities would be very small, I would guess. Most facilities selected are coins,no doubt or you could never do 8 in 7 days.

That only happens to me in the NCC. It does seem whatever algorithm used there pushes the newest facilities to the front, perhaps as an incentive to buy them. That's why I save my goodies up instead of working new service facilities right away. Inevitably, those facilities show up in the NCC within a few weeks, and I want to have lots to stock them.
But my regular and co-op quests are random. I do get new facilities and facilities I don't have, yes, but no more often than I get other facilities. I can go months getting facilities I have, and then boom-boom-boom, three or four facilities in a row I don't own. I've even gotten two of the exact same quest. Now that's random.

How are you supposed to complete a quest when you don't have enough help tags to collect what you need? On top of that NO ONE has what I need. I need cork and cork tiles and not one neighbor has a quest containing cork. No one in the quest help thread has it and I have clicked on dozens of people in the market place and the inn and no one has either item. I was given only one help ticket so if I ask for one I won't be able to ask for the other. At least give us a fair chance to collect the needed items.

I loved doing the quest . gave me a purpose to plant and accomplish some goals . But way to often I worked on it and at the end see I don't have the right facilities to finish I cant afford to buy anymore so there went time spend for nothing .ill just stop stressing over getting this done and spend the time I want on it ......thanks for listening

I moved your post to the Feedback subject thread about quests as you are not making a suggestion. You can always tell what facilities you need for a quest by hovering the mouse pointer over the step to see what facility it calls for so you will know whether you have the facility to complete the quest. If you don't have it and don't want to buy it, then you won't waste time doing the steps before it.

I have had two quests in the last two days requiring ingredients/items to be produced at locked facilities or harvest items. The one now requires salt from the mineral mind when it is locked until level 56 - I am on level 24. Another quest that had to sit there until it expired was to harvest vanilla which is locked until level 44. So I am locked out for quests until it expires. I have one quest completed 4 days ago. this quest that requires the mineral mine will be there for 7 days, so my one completed quest is useless now. Why do you make it so that you have to have facilities or sees that are locked?

I am sorry, but they set the quests up as randomly assigned. They do not look to see what level you are or what facilities you own. So for those just starting out it is harder to get the quests going.

I see people posting in "live chat" that they need to borrow a facility to complete a quest.
How does this work? I did not know that facilities could be loaned out.

I'm sorry but this is a trick they are using, you are not supposed to do that and as such we can not give out the instructions for it on the forum so you will not find them here. The developers are aware they are doing this and may well put a stop to it, but that is up to them.

Being a good coop neighbor means that you cannot be selfish and just try to finish quests for your own good. I try to leave my quests up as long as possible so that my neighbors can "shop" on my quests. My Coop quests window almost always shows all 5 quests! Happy Farming everyone!

Gonna post this again.. I have 4 Taste of buildings in my quests this week. Two in the coop and two....IN A ROW.....in my regular quest. I just had a different one drop off in the coop quests. That is so NOT right. Why do I seem to get the majority of quests that are these Taste of buildings. I own every other facility and service facility.....just NOT the Taste of's. Something is NOT right here that those keep popping up and not the other hundreds of facilities. And it seems to be the same three over and over. Should I happen to buy one they NEVER show up again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have moved your post to the feedback about quests as you are not making a suggestion. The facilities are picked by a random generator. It does not know what facilities you own or even what facility you were given 10 hours before. I know we are not going to be able to convince you that is the case, but that is the way it is done.

It is just the luck of the draw as the random generator picks a number from 1 to whatever the total amount of facilities is and each number is assigned to a particular facility. The random generator does not know what past quests you have had. I have had the same quest or related quest (1 for factory and 1 for service) several times and back to back. Again it all depends on what the random generator picks.

I agree. After 9 years of fatefully playing the game I decided to close the doors of my farm :( It became just as bad as farmville is. New facilities every other week make impossible to do quests unless you are willing to spend more and more money. I loved the game but this is toooooo much. As long as they are getting their money they will be pushing this new facilities and new this and that. How many farms do we need? I am so disappointed with what this game become, it's not fun anymore.

well i know now the quest are picked by raul or one of his workers .not randomly by a computer. the man that has help me and i help him for 8 years found out 2 months ago he has esophogus and lung cancer. i am doing his farms .he is not playing right now might not play anymore.he did not buy the facilitys this month and he was giving 4 co ops quests and 2 reg quest that i cannot finish for him because they are from the new facilitys.him and i buy cash plus own all the facilitys until now.i bought the last ones he did not buy.i did not get any quests from the new facilitys.only he did .this was not fair to give that many that could not be worked just because he did not buy the new facilitys God bless

It would not be possible for a human to pick the quests for as many players as Farm Town has or do it as rapidly as a computer does. Besides if Raul and his workers are busy picking quests for us then they would not have time to work on thprogramming for the next release.

Hi Jammie,
Please make sure your browser zoom is set to 100% when you have your farms open. If it isn't then there is not enough space for the numbers to show at the bottom of the quest managers.

Yes, for regular quests you have to harvest the crops in your own farms. Or you can get a lifeline that allows you to get the crops using other ways.

Between the co-op quest and the regular quest I have had 7 (SEVEN) Taste of ones in 4 (FOUR) days!!!! After reading what Glenda said above and checking all my neighbors co-op quests and finding only two Taste of in them all, there is something terribly wrong with the "random" selection generator!!! And I know you are sick of hearing me say that but I am not alone in my thinking.

Quests are becoming so much trouble, I don't want to do them anymore. I work very hard and get part way through only to find one or two of the facilities I do not have. The time between quests is longer and longer too so that there is almost never enough time to finish 8. Why can we not quit the one that we do not have a facility for. There is no way to buy everything now and there are more and more being introduced so it is almost pointless to do the quest with farm cash in mind. Or fix the game so it only selects quests that we have the facility for.

Quests are becoming so much trouble, I don't want to do them anymore. I work very hard and get part way through only to find one or two of the facilities I do not have. The time between quests is longer and longer too so that there is almost never enough time to finish 8. Why can we not quit the one that we do not have a facility for. This latest NCC quest is a PIA - I bought 2 red windmills and they don't show up in the NCC quest or obviously not on the facility manager page. Positive note, I know what farms they're on but still ........... bad enough I had to get those silly things again because frankly I got rid of mine and replaced them with the FC version quite a while ago but then to not have them show up? Now I wonder if working those 2 facilities will even count .......... don't get me started on the NCC and never coming in higher than 6 or 8 .......... but hey free prods are free prods

Thank you Tiger. In this case I was fairly certain I didn't have any red windmills as I had replaced all of mine ........ eh meh I won't get above 8th place more than likely so no biggie either way. I'll do some fiddling around with some stuff and see if they show up - if not, I know where they are ;) I just found it odd - first time I've had this issue and I've added extra facilities before. ooops on the missing that this isn't help and support - sorry about that.

If the windmills are still not showing up in the facility manager. Go to the farm where you have one and start products in it. Open the facility manager and change the filter to show just facilites on "Current farm". Then reload the game and change it back to "All Farms" and see if they then show up.

Recently, on a couple of occasions, I have completed 6 quests and this has taken me 6 days then I either start my last quest which requires me to purchase a facility using cash, or the quest needs me to grow a crop that takes a longer time to grow than I have left in the process! Nothing has been changed in the way the quests are assigned. The servers randomly assign a quest to you when you accept the next quest. They do not know what facilities you own. For the crops all times are take into account for the expiration of the quest itself, but not the time until your next collection of farm cash.

For the past month The "My Quests" no longer show the list of "Quests Completed" on the Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun - list. the only way to see the quests that have completed daily is to click on the "Show Quests" tab. What is up with that?

If the numbers are not showing up under the days when you collect the coins for them then with the Quest manager open check if your browser zoom is set to 100% . If it is set to other percentage then the numbers usually dont show up.

Not sure which browser you are using.
For example for Chrome you click in the 3 spots in the upper right corner.

I am using Edge, some times I use the latest Internet Browser also. Neither of them have anything I can find in settings to find the zoom

For Edge you have 3 horizontal dots in the upper right corner. There, you will find the zoom level.

The quests are chosen randomly by the servers and it is just that you have been unlucky to get 4 in a row using facilities you don't own. The server selecting your quests does not know what facilities your own or don't own.

I have quests that require me to have facilities that are several levels above my current level. I know from reading in the forums that quests are randomly assigned, but wouldn't it be more fun and fulfilling if the quests at least were a little less random in assignment of requirements that are impossible to fill? For instance, currently I have two quests I can't complete because they require I own facilities that I haven't reached the correct level yet to purchase them. That defeats the purpose of my being able to complete the quest. Sure, I have no choice but to ignore the quest, but it's irksome to say the least. The point of playing a game is to complete the task at hand, which can't happen because I'm not at level to do so. So, my feedback for quests would be to fix it so the quests are more level friendly to the players working on them. Maybe set tiers for them or something like that. Make them more fun for everybody. A couple of times now, harvested quest crops do not show in the quest. They aren't applied, even though they were planted AFTER the quest is started and are harvested by guest workers. Do I have to harvest them myself? What is going on? Am I missing something?

Yes you need to harvest them yourself. They do not count if someone else does them for you.

I used to be able to get 2 FC almost every week for doing them, but now I'm starting to feel lucky if I can get 1 FC per week. When I put on stickies, few of my neighbors help. And it doesn't help that there are so many ingredients that are used for very few products, and thus are very hard to come by.
Some of the big new features you've added (e.g. Super Facilities) just seem too complicated, time-consuming, and besides that they aren't a way to gain extra Farm Cash.
I don't have any specific suggestions, but I would like to either see a way to make co-op quests easier to complete, or some other way added to obtain Farm Cash. I almost always manage to get 2 FC from completing regular quests, but I miss what I used to get from the co-op quests.

my "feedback" is about steps in quests - for some quests there are steps that require to produce multiple items as a step - I have an active cog au vin - 1 step is to make 6 red wine containers - the normal red wine containers are 2 per "unit" taking 6 hours - in the quest you click enough to show all 6 are being produced and close it out - then when you open the quest again it only shows that 2 are being produced - so you would have to go back at the end of the 6 hours to start the next 2 and back again to start the last 2 - my feedback would be that in a quest that requires more items in a single step than is normally made in the normal timing for that item normally in the factory that those items should all be able to be started at one time and to be finished in the normal time that it takes to make the full amount (in this case it takes 6 hours for 2 red wine containers and the step in the quest requires 6 containers should be able to start all 6 containers at one time and would take 18 hours instead of 2 containers at a time times 3 times to load)

When a quest asks for multiple batches made in a winery. The quickest way to get them all done is to start a single batch in each winery. So if a quest asks for 6 wine containers you start a single batch in 3 different wineries and they will all complete in 6 hours.

if I understand your answer - I have done that for other steps in other quests but it doesn't work - inside the quest is where the correct factory has to be opened and the item started - a lot of time I have factories already filled (to some extent) but those items don't count because inside of the quest is where the item has to be started

Hi iam1to,
It doesn't matter if you don't use the quest manager to start a step. If you start it in a facility it will count provided you already have the previous steps needed completed.
There is no way to know which facility on which farm the quest went to when you opened it in there. When you get one of these quests, make sure you have a check mark for the steps needed before the wine container step then before you start a wine container step, just go to each winery, from the facility manager if you wish rather than going farm to farm, and start one batch in each of them. You should then be able to see in your quest that the step is in progress. Then once six hours is up you should see the step completed.
If you try to start a batch in a facility that is already producing the maximum you will get a false start showing in the quest and it won't count towards that step. So you can not do this after you have already filled your facilities, you would have to wait for a batch to be complete before you could start another one.

I am a long term FT player. I do spend money on green dollars. Usually for gifts for a family member most recently this March. Haven't actually played in about 2 years. Decided to pass some time as I'm do for a change and actually play.
The first two Quests I received are not completable unless I spend $32 and then $30 worth green dollars. I have $9 after going up a couple of levels.
I can understand this is a business. I don't understand how your business plan to recapture previous players interests is to bombard them with things they can't do unless they spend more real life money. Like really, 53 levels in a week to earn enough green dollars to be able to try to complete 8 quests in time to earn 3 at best. Who knows how many more facilities will need to be bought for the remaining 6 possible quests. Not very enticing in my books.
Guess your just not that interested in having me return. i'll try again in another couple years... Maybe.

As Marymarcel said the quests are assigned randomly. When you ask the program for a new quest, it does not know what facilities you have or what level you are. That has not changed since the quests were added.

Quest items are supposed to be random but 4 of the last 5 of my wife's and 2 of my last 4 have been FC facilities we do not own so it does not seem to be.

I watch the times very closely and it seems when I am due 2 the time changes. I am taking a break from the game and may just quit. I have been here since very close to the beginning.

I am not sure what you mean by the time changes. The time has always been that you have to wait exactly 7 days to the second after you last collected, before you can collect again. So if you do not collect at or close to the specific time you previously collected then for the next time will shift to the new 7 day time.
It also has always been that the length of time a completed quest remains on the chart is 7 days to the second from the time the quest completed. That is when the last step completes, not 7 days from the time you collect the coins for it.

The seven day time starts EXACTLY when you claim the previous FC. If you claim the FC at 8:00 pm on Friday then the next 7 days does not arrive until 8:00 pm Friday. The game does not change the times, YOU change the times by when you claim. You can wait until 10:00 am Saturday to claim then the next seven days arrives at 10:00 am Saturday. It is 7 days from when YOU claim. Same for each item you finish, they each expire seven days from whenever it was ready, not from when you claimed it.

Okay, example: Saturday night at 8pm collect rewards for weekly prize. At 9pm I start final stage of 2 new quests for new week. 8 pm the next Saturday got to collect and 1 or 2 quests have now dropped off.

I had a look at your data and you have not being collecting at the same time.
For example:
On July 7 you collected cash at 11:37 eastern time
On July 14 you collected cash at 14:40 eastern time
On July 21 you collected cash at 22:33 eastern time
You say that after collecting your cash you inmediately start last step for quests for new week. Well that is the problem as next week you dont enter at the same time to collect.
Let say you collect on Monday at 14:00 and complete a quest at 16:00 but next Monday you enter to collect at 18:00 then the quest completed at 16:00 dropped off the chart as the 7 days past for it.
That is why we always recommend that after collecting farmcash, to Not complete the first quest for the new week till next day or more depending on its expiration date.

Can you include more gifts that can be used in quests. really annoys me when i get the gift lifeline and cant get any of the items as gifts eg the quest I am on now is for hawaian pizza I can get pineapples tomatoes but not wheat only flour which is no use

The gift lifeline includes the gifts from the gift page but you are also allowed to ask for ingredients.
In your case, you can open your Red windmill or the Stone windmill then click in the + icon for flour and ask for ingredients.
The ingredient for flour is wheat, so your friends will send you wheat. When you store it from your red giftbox it will count for your quest.
If you want to ask for more gifts, please post your idea in our Suggestion section where we have them grouped by theme for the developers to read.
You cant open a new thread there, but you can post as a reply to a thread that fits with your idea.

I may be in the wrong section, but I think it's unfair to make players work on cooperative quests only to discover they need money to finish it. i spend real money plenty of times and the fact that I spend more than an hour or two of my life on this game to find out I need to spend between $5-10-20 dollars to finish is a slap in the face. I'm not s sucker, and I don't appreciate being treated like one.

The co-op quests are assigned randomly and do not know what facilities you own. You can always check the last step of the quest as soon as you open it to see what facility is required for that. Then it is your choice whether you buy the facility to complete the quest if you need it.

I disagree. I lived in Chicago. Every year there was a Taste of Chicago festival around Independence Day. Local restaurants set up tables very much like what the Devs have put in the game. Many cities have "Taste of" festivals. I think it a good idea. I do wish more of the "Taste of" were coin instead of farm cash.

Even if you don't own the facility needed before it and true you can not see that one, you can always see the last facility or service needed by hovering over that step.

I have read plenty of complaints regarding the earning of farmcash and cooperative quests. I had two cooperative quests this week that I did not own the final facility for and I still managed to earn 2 farmcash. I think the developers are fairly generous in how we are able to earn.

I only really play for the quests since I work long hours, second shift. Right in the middle of growing 4-hour crops for a quest that I was getting close to finishing, I suddenly got switched to the new version and am unable to go back.
None of my browsers will let me use Flash so I lost all that time and effort for nothing. I hope you have frozen quests so we don't lose all our work and will have them back up soon. As it is right now, I have no reason to play anymore and I really enjoyed this game.

If it is the sports accessories factory you don't have then buy it it cost coins not fc so what is the problem with your quest. If it is a factory for one of the other parts of the quest and it cost fc again buy it or don't do that quest. No where was it said the quest would only be based on what you have the point of quest are to get people to buy or do things they may not already have or may not be doing.
The problem I have is that the quest I'm on requires me to have the Smokehouse. I'm only at level 45. The Smokehouse requires level 86. I'm not going to level up 41 levels in 5 days. That makes this quest impossible to finish.:mad:
They should at least take into account what level you are on.

The problem I have is that the quest I'm on requires me to have the Smokehouse. I'm only at level 45. The Smokehouse requires level 86. I'm not going to level up 41 levels in 5 days. That makes this quest impossible to finish.:mad:

Lifeline doesn't help, as I can't work neighbor's Smokehouses. The quests should account for player's experience levels.
In addition, when I finished the second quest I had (the first one being the one with the Smokehouse), and another one was available, it was the exact same quest as the first one that I couldn't do.
It would be nice to cancel a quest if you find out you can't complete it, so that a different quest could come up.

i just started playing cooperative and personal quests to achieve fc, since i am out of work and cannot pay out of pocket at the moment. How can we play the quests of personal quests and co op quests if we do not have the factories or shops to some to complete it? Happens once or twice a week? Is there another way to get the factories and shops so to complete some quests? Not every one who plays every factory or shop? Just sayin'

There isn't any way to get the facilities needed for the quests except to buy them. The quests are assigned randomly, so we have no way of knowing what quests we are going to get. If you don't have the facility and can't purchase it, then you won't be able to complete that quest.

I am sorry, but the quests are assigned to you randomly and automatically by the game. No individual is involved in picking what quest you get. The quest assignment manager does not know what facilities or services you own when it selects the quest.

I am ok with the occasional Fc facility to complete regular and co op Quests on my main and 2nd accts. . I can even handle one a week for each. I even am able to help out one of my Superneighbors and send her FC facs when needed. However of late, it is becoming more difficult! And this week would have broken the bank, so I closed the doors.
This WEEK so far, the Game gave me FOUR quests needing TWO farmcash facilities each. making it EIGHT for the week on my 2nd acct. The smaller act with fewer resources!. And two co op quests needing fc facilities on the 2nd. Making the total of FC facilities needed at TWELVE!! For that small account! I let them expire. That seems more than just coincidence since I usually will get the one or two a week I need. I know it supposedly is random, but lately t sure does not seem so. There is NO way I can complete the regular Quests on my 2nd account, and decided to let the ones on the Main account slide too. They expired this eve.
Seems a unfair to try and work so hard for 1 or 2 FC but have to spend a couple hundred FC to do so. Seems whenever I need a facility on either acct lately its NEVER a coin one, even tho the 2nd account does not have them all yet. Not even close. I am sorry, but they are assigned randomly and it is done by the servers. There is no human control on it. You could have just as easily had an entire week with coin facilities as you did with the FC ones.

What you say is true of my main acct. But my 2nd is another matter. That account does not have all the coin facs. Not by a longshot. It is probably a 50/50 ratio at this point. Yet this week the Quests are "backed up" and I was unable until tonight to open a new one. Four of the five Quests need FC facilities to finish them. Two of them need two FC Facs per Quest!
Thus when I received FOUR successive quests needing FC facilities this week you bet I noticed! It does seem it may react if one is buying needed FC facs on a regular basis and perhaps, the algorithm reacts by sending more. Just speculation on my part, but yes, recently on that acct I am getting an inordinately high amount of Fc Facility loaded Quests. This week was just the back breaker with four instead of the usual one or two. The Devs may want to look into that one, as I see I am not the only one a bit miffed by this trend.Hi Riap,

The algorithim for selecting the quests doesn't know any thing except to pick a number. That number is the number assigned for a quest period. It doesn' t look at your data to see how many of anything you have. The only thing it does is generate a random number and the program assigns you the quest associated to that number. There isn't anything to look into as it is all randomly blindly chosen with no knowledge of what you have or don't have.

I can't say it any other way. It is random and doesn't know what facilities you have nor anything from your account data. Only thing it knows is you requested a quest be opened and generates a random number. Nothing has been changed except to add the new quests when new facilities are added, since the quests were added to the game.
If you have a specific way that the developers could change this then please post it in the Suggestions section or you can report it to Support if you wish.

How hard is it for players to remain consistant earning farm cash by doing quests. I find it pretty easy to earn 2 farm cash a week. for getting 4 farm cash a week seems we would need a well balanced daily routine. we roughly get around a 2 hour window every 12 hours to get our bi daily quests for co-ops and our 1 quest daily for regular quests. this could work for those that have a fixed schedule. but for me my schedule goes up and down every day. some times i have busy days sometimes i have more time for farm town. i might be one those weekend warrior types for the games i play. so i find that earning 2 farm cash a week is much less strain on my schedule and I can take a few days off here and there to do other fun stuff. but i guess if your time is well managed earning 4 farm cash a week from quests can be done consistantly.
I wasnt sure i got this right discussion. it's about farm cash and quests. i think this is more a time management for the game too. seemed either place works. hope your day goes well.

It isn't that hard unless you get a run of quests you can't do, then you may have to wait longer than a week for 2FC or accept 1. There are three lifelines for the 'my' quests and you basically learn as you go along whether or not they will help you with a particular quest. I think it's worth using a lifeline if the quest is about to expire even if, say, only 1 of the three will help you.
Usually though I only use them if 2/3 will help. So, for example, if I have a quest where either the gift lifeline or the employee lifeline will let me complete the quest. Sometimes I use them even if I can complete without them, because that can be quicker if you get the right lifeline. But as the lifeline is locked until the quest completes, it's best to use them carefully.
For co-operative quests, there are several ways to get the bits you need. You can trawl your neighbours' quests, you can use the helpies, you can trawl the markets, and you can visit the social forum to see if anyone has posted a quest that can help you, or post your own quest. Some of these can take time--if you don't get lucky in the market you can be there for ages checking for what you need.

My Neighborhood is pretty good allowing me finish quests I actually made good this last week and 4 quests at start of new week. I had 6 quests done first day a week and fortunately ii was able to make the morning window around hour or so. And was able to count all my first quests. i might have been able save one the 'extra' quests for a new week. i think one of them may have had to be done almost immediately on new week. if you struggle to get enough early week I suggest trying do one short week with 4 quests once a month or so unless your good with getting all the quests in.
There's approximately 1 or 2 extra quests a week for coops. and you may get a little over lap and start and end of week on regular quests so 8 isn't too hard if you wait a bit at beginning of new week.

The only thing that really impedes me is when I get a run of quests I can't do. One is okay, two can be got round, but three usually means settling for 1fc or taking longer to get 2.

Yes,Totally agree. Would be better if it was in the left bottom corner. When you have large farm blocks on a full screen computer it becomes to close to the edge of the working field.

We are in week 3 so you should have 9 seasonal goals altogether and it does look like you have all of them. What I think happened is that when the game came back online those that were unbale to play while the game was down is that they got 6 seasonal goals when they opened Farm Pass that week instead of just 3 of them.
Those that had the game loaded and left it loaded when the game went down, only got the normal 3 seasonal goals during that week. Today they got 3 new seasonal ones which brought them up to the same amount as you already have now.

The farm pass has 2 kind of goals, one is daily and the other is season.
The daily goals are only good for a day and they are replaced the next day.
So when you load the game for the first time that day, click in the farm pass icon to get the new daily goals and you can know what to do.
The time showing up in the daily goals is the time left till they are replaced.
The season goals are last for the whole month. You get new season goals once a week but if you couldnt complete a goal from the previous week it doesnt matter as the season goals are not replaced they are added.
So you can have some not completed goals from a previous week and new ones for the new week.
The time you see in the season goals means how much time you have to wait till new season goals are added.
Just remember you have to complete them before the month is over.

Yes, I fully understand the difference between daily and seasonal goals. My ONGOING PROBLEM is that I have been playing this game since it's beginning (much longer than Farm Pass has been around) and over the years I developed a method of playing that allowed me to enjoy the game. Farm Pass is forcing me to change the way I play in that I now have to log in at midnight each day to see what the NEW daily goals are and I can't pick, plant, harvest, fish, send or receive trains, etc UNTIL I have determined what is necessary FOR THAT DAY'S PLAY. Numerous times (more than 1 dozen now) I have performed a multi-day task (send a certain type of train or pick flowers) the day BEFORE you post the same task for that day. It's happened often enough that I am under the opinion that the developers or game computer is tracking what and when I do something and waiting until I've done it to have the goal for that thing to show up (today's Dispatch Enhanced Freight Locomotive for instance, my Enhanced locomotive sat idle for 6 days waiting on this task to show back up and I finally gave up on it yesterday and dispatched the train so I could get the goods back, NOW I lose out on that Farm Pass goal because the train will take 2 days to return. This is NOT AN ISOLATED INSTANCE!!!). So, back to my request above. In order to "play" the game (I no longer enjoy it since it's become more of a battle/conquest scenario) and meet the daily Fram pass goals would you please post a WEEKLY or MONTHLY FARM PASS calendar showing what task on which day will be required so that I can let things sit idle or rot on the vine awaiting THAT specific task for THAT day.

I can only tell you I didnt change my way of playing, only thing when I log in during the morning I first click in the farm pass to get the new goals.
I also cant complete some goals, I dont have all trains so if I have to do something with one I do not own, then I cant complete that goal, or if I had just collected my farm cash for quests and get a goal to complete a new one, I do not do it as I always wait for a day or more to complete the first quest for the new week after collecting my farm cash. The program doesnt do anything trying to harm a player, that is impossible.

I would think the daily goals are generated on the day, so there is no list to consult.

My suggestion for quests: Add an "Undo" button, or better yet, a warning when someone is using their last yellow Help flag before the last step has been completed. Several times, I have done that without realizing it was the last one. And after diligently working all the steps, found myself unable to finish the quest because I didn't have any more flags and the last item was a product that you couldn't normally find.

You can see when you are using your last help note as the number on those at the top shows a 0.
If you want to make a suggestion please post it in the Suggestions section and not the General Feedback. You can not start a new post there but you can reply to one that fits your suggestion. There is one for quests.

I just realized that I forgot to collect FC for completing eight quests. It should have been ready about 4:30 yesterday afternoon, but I was so distracted by other things that it slipped my mind.
But, happy ending! Because I have taken the moderators' advice about quests to heart, I had until tomorrow morning. Thanks, every one of you!

I am curious, on several of my quests it says I need to use the TURBO oil refinery. Why? I already have refineries, and can not see spending the FC on something I do not need. Is this an error?
I have a friend that has never come up with this in her quests and she has been playing many more years than I have. Thanks for any info.

We are talking about Regular quests (brown dice), aren't we?
I have only seen that if I click in the product step and then I got another window showing what I need to produce that item.
In case there is a regular and a turbo facility, then both are showing up and it says you need one OR the other.

I have to say I love this addition to the Coop Quests. It makes such a difference. It is so much quicker because you don't have to click on every product or scroll down them. It's brilliant :):):):):)

My latest cooperstive quest, Load 2 x Standing Spray in a service facility, requires: 1) carnation, 2) glads, 3) orange lily, 4) purple orchid, 5) Standing Spray flowers to complete. Standing Spray is THE ONLY ITEM IN THE ENTIRE GAME that uses those particular flowers and the quest only gives 4 help flags. History has shown (I've been playing Farm Town since the beginning) that the odds of me finding another player with this same qjest are astronomically against, making this quest IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPLETE. In fairness to all players, please delete this cooperative quest a d any other impossible quests like it. Thank you
