I might as well add my 2 cents for all it's worth....we don't INSIST on having facs on all 15...it is called designing and enjoying! Some take it all too serious and forget it is to relax and have fun with! Not for making our living!

This is terrific stuff! The relationship you developers have created with us players is remarkable. You listen to us, you respond, and the game gets better every release. I very much appreciate how much work is involved with every release, especially when the software you depend on, like Adobe Flash, does an update and you have to respond. Yes, some people complain; I probably have myself. However, you hang in there, and we need to give you credit for what you do, and learn a little patience. Something us players need to remember is that every time you increase the number of farms, and every time we players layer upon layer, it requires increased server capacity to handle the load, something that costs you real money, not FC. Thanks again!

This is a question I asked earlier and am still waiting for a reply. I don't know what good the cattle car will be once we have as many animals as our sheds will hold.

That really DOES diminish the need for that car. I'd still like to buy it, though. I bet it's going to look cool. I guess we could sell the extra animals although I don't think they go for much.

Raul has put a note at the end of the release announcement to say the cattle cars will bring real animals not their products and they will go into storage and we can either sell them or put them on the farm or in the animal sheds.

He also said the problem with the seeder menu not staying put should be resolved today and the people and new cars will be here tomorrow.

I actually use the Farmtown Farmer List and the filter it with Farmers Helping me. That would not only insure that they are playing but also just be the ones that helping you.

I saw this posted in a message somewhere on the first 20 pages or so... but, thought I would mention it again. Although, this is minor, while you are working on the seed sorting....

With the release of the Playground Gear Factory, we now have 2 products with identical names.:eek: I have a couple of suggestions, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. The SWING from the Furniture Factory could be named Porch Swing or Wooden Swing. The SWING from the Playground Gear Factory could be named Playground Swing or Play Swing.

Several of us keep spread sheets and this would really be helpful.

And along with that, we had duplicate names on CHAIR for a while. One was renamed CASINO CHAIR and the other left as CHAIR. I would really like to see the CHAIR from the Explorer Factory renamed to CAMP CHAIR or YARD CHAIR. But, if you don't rename, at least there is a distinction between the two.

And just for your info, I planted all morning, and my seeds stayed sorted correctly the whole time. 1st time I have not had every one of the glitches. :D:D

Try going to your farm first then navigate to the appropriate neighbours farm and click on any pop ups about weeding. Then go back and try the work post again.

Just a note on the gift issue, id been thinking id been missing gifts for the past few weeks too, not getting the amount I should after accepting them, especially on a alarge scale - like accepting 80, then only having 40 or so

Yesterday I clearly accepted 5 coconut trees, but only had one loaded into the game gift box, today, 5 again, but only 4 loaded this time.. I think there is an issue...

I use the "Stored Amount" most of the time an then the 'Harvest Time" and I did notice that the arrangement of the seeds kept changing, very frustrating. Since I don't want to plant what I really don't need right now.

Not sure if this was fixed or a glitch with the new changes.

I also had slow connection on two separate browsers last night, an lost connection for a min but luckily I never got booted out of a job or working.

I havent noticed today so far but am keeping a close eye on the 'seed issue' as that was very frustrating planting last night as I had held off a few days cause I knew we would be getting the upgrades.

Hi, you willl only need 10 cars to have all the facilities worked for you, there will be 12 cars when these new ones are released, so you don't have to own ALL cars to have the facilities go faster

I have to disagree with this statement. When we were getting flash crashes before the new flash release I downloaded the 4.0 BETA and it STOPPED all the crashes for me. I would think it is just going to be like the other cars that the goods go to the storage for your use on the facilities. I don't think we are going to see sheep and cows running around all over the farm, they are simply going to storage just like the other things. That is my thinking :)

Well I can see where that is not going to help me, as I have been exchanging gifts to get to the limit of the cows and other animals...and are they going to give the milk, etc from the storage or you just going to have to put them on the farm? Guess this little cow is going to market, lol

Hi Kahra, If you choose a train carriage you will get a pop up window giving you several options of 'direction'. There actually are some 'bendy' ones there. The don't really look as if they will work, but with a bit of trial and error they can be put around a corner and connected.

It took me a bit to add one to trial, but if you go to my link of 'Gone Fishin' then to Farm one you can see it done. You may have to turn off the trees and flowers and it is in the bottom left hand corner.

there was mention of the people (they will be in the store), and of the next freight cars in post #1 yesterday.

There is a one day delay, so they will, or should be, released later today, Tuesday.

When changes are made, or when problems are resolved, it is in post #1 of the release where that information and update appears.

i used one of the ordinary boxcars (not the long one on the bend itself as they have 6 views, that seems to work as Helen has previously said. it does take a little practice to get it looking just right. Later when i update the Game Guide with the new trains, i will also post a pic there to show how going round a corner can be done :)

sorry but im disappointed with the cattle train thingy.. i was all set to buy a load of trains because I thought the cattle train would give produce not animals. dont get me wrong .. handy for those starting out who need to stock up animals rather than wait for gifts but for those who are at top level it doesn't really help.

I suppose it is a good one to have if you are starting out or have half empty animal barns - this is something for the newer players I feel. I wont buy one - I have all my barns filled to max - unless the Devs radically increase the capacity. And of course it depends on how much you can sell them for - would be interested in that if someone buys one when they are released

I'm afraid that the train bug is not fixed, as I can not despatch my train now.

My train has always worked correctly, ever since I brought it, but now it say I have another train despatched.


A big thanks to Raul, who contacted me regarding this issue and fixed the problem for me.

I'll post the cause and the solution in the thread about train problems, so anyone else who gets this problem can fix it themselves.

Ok so the cattle train has not been released yet but I would like to voice my opinion on it, all the other trains have cost FC and they pretty much have an indefinite life whereas the cattle cars would have because you can only put so many animals in each animal house, which would like to me a good option for it would to be sell it for Coins instead of FC. Like me others I have all my animal sheds full. How many animals would be one delivery? Would it a one run and your done or have make several runs which would mean several weeks which would me you could fill them faster using gifts. I am just saying, and yes I know I don't have to buy one and probably won't. I am still waiting on one I need. :)

For people that have a lot of neighbors or that have been playing awhile probably won't like it to much, it is mostly for new players that is having a problem getting neighbors, this way then they can build up their animals in the sheds. The only thing I don't know is how many animals will be coming in the boxcar at one time.

This is by far the best and most useful update, to me, we've had in a very long time. It partially addresses one of the major issues so many of us have with this game ... time. It helps a little when the mayor finishes half the facs any one neighbour has on each farm. It helps a LOT, when the mayor finishes a good portion of our neighbours facs for us if we have farm cash train-trucks and it will help immensely when we're able to buy 10 trucks and be able to work all facs on a farm in 1 click. (though if any of my neighbours think this is an excuse to spread their facs over every 'blooming' farm they have and think i'll load them all ... they can think again, :mad:)

The search feature is awesome too. Especially for those of us who plant a lot. Planting is one of those tedious jobs we all have to do in order to advance so anything that can be done to alleviate some of the tedium is much appreciated as far as I'm concerned. I really hope we can get that search feature into all boxes ... or at least the facility manager for those of us who only regularly load/post the much needed ingredients like cheese, maple lumber, canvas, etc ... A search feature in the facility manager might also encourage other farmers to have days where they only post essential ingredients instead of feeling the need to plonk facs on every farm to keep up with the demands of cheese and flour etc.

The green glove is an unexpected bonus. Probably more so to me than anyone else who plays this game, lol. :cool:

To those who feel the new train-truck feature will disadvantage them - I hear you, feel for you and understand your position. You've given me pause to think about my own loyal neighbours who work my facs and may not want the train-trucks or be able to afford them. To lesson any disadvantage for them - I've committed myself to having enough stock to reload my facs as fast as I can once they're posted so although the first to start may not necessarily be the first to finish .. at least they'll all still get a decent whack out of my facilities. (hopefully) :)

Ok, since I have been one of the winners about buying the trains I have to come and admit that I took the plunge and did even though I do not need the goods they deliver I did it just for working benefit of working the facilities. I now have 4 and I went work my neighbors facilities that I always dread working. She has more than any other neighbor and they spread across all farms. This is still my biggest complaint of working facilities is have to go to all 15 farms just because it takes a while for each one to load. But anyway back to what I was saying. With just 4 train cars it was very beneficial to have them. Not sure I will ever have 10 depends on future releases I guess, but if people are going to put facilities on 16 - 20 farms or more you bet I am going to be looking for an easier way to work the darn things.

Yes - I totally agree - I love this game and the way it works and our Devs and Mods. (Oh and the forum helpers too :) ) They do a brilliant job and really do care that the game works and we are all happy.

Just a small note tho... depending on what direction your train is turning, you must use the right car, in this case there are 2 horizontal cars... only one works, the other is if the train is turning the other way

SUCCESS! yayy! lol. Once I had seen your pic, I realised then that I needed to use one of the small hopper trains, the ones you can buy for coins.. I didnt think of that since all my trains are FC ones. So I messed around for about 10 minutes and it all came together nicely! I expected more grief with it but it was rather painless and your pic was a huge help! Thanks again Rob.. I have very happy trains lol :)

It is not so much the waiting for the train cars that aggravate me, it is knowing my train is just sitting there waiting to be dispatched with the new cars that upset me. I know just as soon as I say to heck with it and dispatch my train wihout the new cars, They will have the new cars released. Then I will have to wait longer.

Sometimes, I wish they would just wait the extra days and release everything at the same time. It seems to me every time they break a new release up, the promised stuff is always delayed beyond the date they state.

I am also disappointed with the whole train concept. It costs over 16 Million to dispatch your train (if you have all 9 cars). I personally think that is a little too pricey, especially, since we paid 35 FC for each car. I also believe they are focused more on the new players than the older ones. The majority of the products the train brings in, I have enough facilities and sheds to acquire the products. Having the mayor help is a definite time saving feature that I LOVE. I will be able to work more of my neighbor's facilities now.

I can hardly wait until Farm 16 is released. I already have pans for it. I love playing Farm Town and I think the devs and Raul do an awesome job!!! Now, can we please have the new cars so I can dispatch my train??

- The cattle wagon will bring animals not animal products. When you unload animals will go to your item storage, you then decide if you move them to the farm, animal storage or sell them.

- Escargots are made from Land Snails that's why fish farm was not used

- People and new Freight Cars should be available tomorrow (Tuesday) evening not today

There is nothing new from Raul on this anticipated arrival time. That is odd, because we are always kept well informed on these changes in schedule. Funny..I was thinking just the other day when I was working some of my neighbors farms...about what a pain it is to have to go to EACH farm to work. Its not their fault..its my computer takes so long to load each farm thats the problem. YES it would be much faster working if everyone condensed their factories for us slow pokes...lol...but its their farm and can do whatever they please. I can always choose not to work for them if I dont wanna.

I do mind waiting on the people to show up...lol...but I know as soon as they come..10 minutes later the thrill will be gone lol..so the waiting is the hardest but the best part also.

We shouldn't be told something is coming, I would rather be surprised when I get here and find that it's already here.

Everyone has to remember that the dev's are only human (I believe, haven't seen them in person, but I believe they are) and that sometimes things happen to delay them from bringing out the rest of the release. Yes, I would like to be able to send my train on its way, but it isn't doing any harm just sitting in my Train Yard, gives the technicians a chance to look over the engine to make sure it is running properly before the new cars are attached (if I get any). The dev's will get the new items to us as soon as they can.

Well she is layered after layer, :eek: I started, didn't want hurt feelings, but connection bucked whirled, and said no dice. It kicked me off her farm big time. Proof to me, over layering is something the game computers do not like. I will have to think of a nice way to say no to her now. Love the game by the way :)

Honey, just tell her. Layering is her choice, but it hurts the rest of us by making the game unstable. I've had a few neighbors who have been playing way longer than me who have farms FULL of stuff, who layer and stack, and I cannot even get them to load, much less work them, even if I hide everything! I had to tell them I can no longer work their farms, that they should ask someone else but thanks for thinking of me! :) Just be nice and say your computer cannot handle the load of stuff on her farms and point her towards the forum so she can see it's not just you. :)

I love FT and I think the developers do a good job with this game. Yes, I would rather them get the bugs out before releasing items, BUT I would rather them not give us a date for something and then be disappointed. I waited Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and today to send my train out. I decided I might as well send it out this afternoon because I had already wasted all those days. No big deal though. I just think it is more fun when they surprise us on new releases and we weren't expecting them ... then no one is waiting and waiting on the release they said would be here on a certain date. I have learned that usually when they announce a certain date for release, it never happens. Either don't announce a specific date or at least give us a quick update as to what is happening. Either way, I am still a happy camper with FT! :-)

Same here - which also means I will no longer get the benefit of faster working times in neighbors' factories.

Normally I think the concept of "Farm Town Time" is sorta funny and one of the quirky things about being a FT addict. But THIS time, if it's going to be another week, I'd really like to know that now, instead of being told "tomorrow" for 7 days. I'm already TOTALLY addicted to working neighbors' facilities again. I had almost stopped because it just took too long, but I'M BAAAACK!!!

I think I have about another hour before my train pulls in - guess I'd better so work some factories!

I for one am happy for the new release :D and look forward to seeing the new "toys". I've been playing now several years too and have 15 (wow) farms (which is mind boggling when I remember the days of the Big Red Mansion being THE accomplishment). My hat is off to the developers, programmers, and anyone else involved in keeping my virtual reality online and I send them a hearty Thank-You. While my level of interest and involvement has declined a bit and I no longer buy everything that is released, I still enjoy tending mine and my neighbors farms and factories and experience a sense of excitement with each new release. Keep up the good work ;)

After purchasing 2, I now have 11 long trains and they are all dispatched; however, only 95% of the facilities are worked by the mayor. It's still very nice, but not 100% of the facilities are worked as described in the release notes. Yes, cache has been cleared.

Thats happening to me as well. I have 11 out of the 12 available carriages (dont need the animal one).
Also when I click on my dispatched train and select "show train details" I get a pop-up saying "The train cannot be dispatched because you already have one train dispatched at this time". I didnt click on dispatch train - just to look at!

Sadly they are not working at the moment. They are dispatching but not reducing the % of work that we do. My train was waiting in the station ready to go on arrival of new cars so I was able to test immediately. Hopefully this glitch will be fixed by the time your train returns :o))

Hi try changing it to the new one then moving it a fraction to a new place. Save. Then clear your cache and macromedia files. Reload your browser and the game.

Sorry Ellen - you asked what we think - its a disgusting thought - I cant even bear to buy the cattle truck from the store or the animal train - having worked and lived in a rural area for years - Ive followed a "cattle truck" down a country road - not nice even for someone who is not vegetarian. I certainly dont want to butcher my virtual animals.

There was an uproar on here when the white bunny fur first came out and people didnt want to kill off their fluffy bunnies.

The trains have to be purchased first.... then once they are on your farm, you can click on them, choose "Rotate", and select the one you wish to use. You may need to "trial-n-error" with the different views to get the effect you want.

I just bought my 10th freight car, linked it to the train, loaded and dispatched. It's gone and doing its thing without a glitch. Great! Then I went to one of my neighbors to work facilities. People are great, could use a ton more: kids playing soccer, people in bathing suits for my beach, car repair person, etc. etc. I'm sure that will keep the devs busy for some time to come.

One more gripe while I'm at it. Bought the orange and green hand and hoped that I can now place my lake on top of green grass squares. No such luck. :confused:
