This thread is for reporting problems concerning any of the Freight Trains and Long cars.

Sending Boosts for your own trains and Boosting other farmers trains is now done from within the Train Manager.

In that chapter you will find which trains can help with Facility work, how to correctly connect them, how many you can have, requirements to earn the Mayor bonus when unloading trains, how to use the train Manager in your toolbox.

UPDATE July 7th 2024 - A new Boost All Trains button has been added to the Train Manager.
To use the Boost All Trains button to boost all farming friends Trains that you receive in your Train Manager with one click, you will need:
4 locomotives with 10 different long cars on each of them AND they must be dispatched.
Remember that you can only have 3 of the same speed locomotive dispatched at the same time!

Only one of each speed locomotive (1x Standard Freight Locomotive, 1x Enhanced Freight Locomotive, 1x Ultimate Freight Locomotive, 1x Supreme Freight Locomotive, 1x Turbo Freight Locomotive) can be placed on the same farm and be a working train that can help with facility work.
If you only want to use 2 locomotives that are the same speed. Place each one on a different farm.
If you have 2 of the same speed locomotive on the same farm , the 2nd one becomes decoration and does not help with Facility work or bring you any products..
You can have up to a total of 15 working trains altogether!
Trains do not have to be placed on the train tracks!
Coin cars are just for decoration! You can add them to your working train if you wish and they can be useful should you need your train to turn a corner on a farm. They do NOT count toward working facilities.
Working trains that help with Friends Facility Work:
To help with facility work, you need one of the locomotives in the picture at the top of this post. That locomotive must have at least one long car attached and it must be dispatched.
The Long Cars cost 35 Farm Cash each. Each different long car attached to one locomotive (up to 10) will add to the amount of facilities the mayor will work as you go to every farm.
Each Long car attached to a locomotive must be different from the other Long Cars attached to that locomotive.
Never attach 2 of the same Long Cars on any one locomotive as the second one will not count towards facility work and will not bring you products as it behaves as just decoration.
For the mayor to work every farm you go to.....
Out of the 19 different long cars there, chose 10 of them and attach them to just one locomotive.
For the Mayor to work every farm without you needing to go each farm.....
You need a 2nd locomotive and again, out of the 19 different long cars there are, chose 10 of them and attach them to the other locomotive. They do not have to be the exact same ones you picked for your first locomotive.
The 2 locomotives with the 10 long cars attached to them MUST be dispatched.
To use the NEW Do both at once, work factories and refer clients link in Facility Wall Requests, you need 4 Locomotives with 10 different long cars in each of them and they need to be dispatched.
Remember you can NOT have 2 of the same speed locomotive on the same farm.
Order of buying Locomotives:
The First Locomotive you you buy does NOT have to be bought in speed order. You can go straight to buying the fastest one first if you wish.
After that you must own one of each speed locomotive before you can buy a second locomotive that's the same speed, and those DO have to be bought in speed order.
For example if the first locomotive you bought was the fastest one, the Turbo Freight Locomotive, you could NOT then go straight to buying a 2nd Turbo Freight Locomotive.
You would need to also own:
1 x Standard Locomotive
1 x Enhanced Locomotive
1 x Enhanced Locomotive
1 x Supreme Locomotive
1 x Ultimate Locomotive
as well as the Turbo Freight Locomotive.
THEN when you own all of those you can buy a SECOND set of Locomotives, BUT those MUST be bought in order:
Own 2 x Standard Locomotives before you can buy the 2nd Enhanced Freight Locomotive.
Then buy the 2nd Supreme Freight Locomotive
Then buy the 2nd Ultimate Freight Locomotive
and then you can buy the 2nd Turbo Freight Locomotive!
Issues with connecting locomotives and their long cars:
When altering trains:
You can only move a working locomotive and it's long cars when it has returned from it's trip and has been unloaded.
ALWAYS use the yellow hand in the toolbox when connecting locomotives with long cars attached or use the Move command when clicking on on a locomotive or long car. The freestyle designer hands can cause them to overlap which can prevent them being correctly connected.
When you have finished moving a train EVEN IF the highlight looks correct when you mouse over the locomotive, BEFORE YOU DISPATCH IT, always open the locomotive and look in the Freight Cars section for all the long cars you attached to the locomotive. Only the long cars that are correctly connected will not be greyed out. Any greyed out are either not on that train or not correctly connected.
Important: Train locomotives and long cars count towards your facility limit per farm!
If you have a lot of facilities on a farm you may need to put them on a farm with less facilities or on a farm without facilities on it, whichever you prefer.
Count one for each locomotive and one for each Long car.
The Facility Limit is between 350 and 400 per farm. However, that amount can also be affected by how much production you have in those facilities that have not been stored.
If you see a message telling you that you have too many facilities on a farm, the first thing we suggest is to store all production from those facilities then refresh farm and see if the message goes away.
If it does then do not add any more facilities to that farm and remember to store regularly.
If the too many facilities message returns, store all production and move some facilities to another farm.
To be able to help with any problems with your trains, we will need your User ID or farm link and which train on which farm has the problem along with what the problem is so we can take a look at them.

Hi Cathy ls,
This is a known problem for some. The developers are aware of it, but can do nothing to help with this. It appears to be a Facebook caused issue and there is a ticket open with them, but they have not fixed it yet.
This has happened to some who have too many Facebook friends that play Farm Town. The only thing that can be done for this is to reduce the number of friends you have that play who are not neighbors.
The other thing you can check is to make sure you have cookies and pop ups allowed in those browsers by the instructions in the following link:

Something is wrong with my trains. Before the migration I had at least two trains that had 10 cars each, and a third train with a few less (but I don't remember how many). I just NOW noticed that NOW I only have one train with 10 cars and the other two only have 3 and 1 respectively. I didn't notice this because when I work facilities, the game still finishes working all the remainder of the farms for me when I have worked the required number.
When I went back to look at my cash activity to see when I bought them, there is only 6 months there. Would you please look into this for me?

2 Long Animal Products Car
1 Long Bulkhead Car
1 Long Cattle Car
1 Long Container Car
1 Long Quarry Car
2 Long Refrigerated Car
2 Long Sliding-Door Car
1 Long Tank Car
1 Long Tree Products Car
1 Long Two-Door Boxcar
1 Long Well Car
If you had 2 trains with 10 long cars attached to each of them then the Mayor would do all facilities in all farms.

I have THREE trains showing 14 long cars. Only one trains has 10 cars. The other two have 3 and 1 cars.
I should have AT LEAST 20 cars on two trains, and a few more on the third train.
That's what i had BEFORE the migration.

Account data shows everything before and after the migration. You dont have anything missing which costs farmcash.

But if you wish you can contact Support. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

That email will have your ticket number and a link for you to check the status of your ticket, so please do not delete that email. I moved your post to the thread about trains. Is this a pop up message you are getting or is it in the FT console?
Is this when you are trying to send boost requests or when you are trying to boost other's trains.
If it is boosting other's trains was it showing as a non-neighbor under the picture?

Are you able to see the list of your neighbors?
EDIT: I have verified this error message and sent it to the developers. We will have to wait and let them find out the cause.

It is not a Google Chrome error. I am using Firefox and I am getting this too. I have sent an email to the developers as I am sure we are all getting this.
We will have to wait and let them check this out and see if they can find what is causing it.

This is a problem from Facebook affecting all of us and we have to wait for them to fix it. The problem is with sending gifts from the Send gifts tab and trains boosts requests.

No real problem with this; I'm just curious. I keep getting train boost requests from "non-friends." When I click to boost, I get the message that it is no longer available. How do I find out who these "non-neighbors" are so I can at least send a friend message or whatever? Again, it is not a problem and no big deal. Just thought if they need friends, I'd do it. As always, thank you for the information.

Hi lynnetimpeiro,
It's usually due to someone with access to more than one account, perhaps to help someone out. It's more likely to happen if they use the same browser for both accounts and don't manually log out then close and reopen the the browser before logging into the other one. This happened after Facebook security updates quite some time ago.
Some can, instead of closing the browser just close any tabs that are open with Facebook and the game loaded, then just open a new tab and log into the other account, but that may not work every time.
When you get one in your train manager the blue button that shows you the relationship to that person (neighbour, friend, non-friend) is clickable and will take you to their farm so you could leave a message for them to contact them that way if you wanted to.
If you just want to boost them, do those from My Requests and you'll not see the no longer available message, you'll get one of the other messages depending on if it can still be boosted or not.

I was asked to send a screen shot of the msg I receive when I try to dispatch my trains. It keeps saying I have a train on Farm 9, which I did at one time, but with the changes I kept losing my cars and turbo engine, so I just started a train on another farm. Now it won't let me dispatch that train. i can't get my screen shot to post. All it says is I cannot dispatch the train on 37 because I already have two turbo engines dispatched on Farm 9 and 37. Please get this taken care of as soon as possible. Thank you very much :)

Where is your 2nd train as you don't mention what farm it is on. The Turbo train on your farm 37 is still dispatched and has 14 hours left until it returns, so you can't dispatch it again.

I updated Chrome and did the mem-cache, closed browser and reopened. Then loaded FT and still doesn't give me farmers to choose from.

If you had the problem that only some had prior to the one in April then that problem is not fixed and Facebook still has an open ticket for that. That one is not fixed. The April one was a short term one in which no one could send train boosts or gifts because of a change in code by Facebook. That one was fixed within a couple days.

I visited all her farms.
She has 2 trains on her farm 40 which are dispatched, one will be back in 2 days, the other in 4 days.
She also has a train on her farm 4, but the cars attached to the Standard locomotive are coins cars, not farm cash cars.

My boost requests only reach the intended audience about half the time and I can't send them out again after the hours run out, just once per day. It's really affecting my train usage.

I am not sure what you mean by the hours running out. You should be able to send boosts to the same person every 8 hours just like gifts.
It could just be that they are not watching for them. They boosts will show in 2 places. They show in the train manager and they also show in the My Requests, but if they are not checking those places then your boosts may expire. As those boosts as well as gift sending requires data transfer between Facebook and Farm Town there isn't any way to guarantee that they will get to them.

So I have used my grandmother, husband and son as test subjects. Like you said, I should be able to send one every eight hours. So every time I harvest my milk cows, I go and send out train requests. The second time every day, I can't send boosts to them. It operates on at least a 12 to 15 hour turnaround time for second requests to the same user. And many times the first boost requests never arrived, so they never get the opportunity to work my trains, so I can only think that it's happening with other farmers also. I hope I'm making sense.

As I said this requires data transfer between Facebook and Farm Town. There isn't anything that can be done by Farm Town to make sure the data is sent. Have you checked to see if they show up in the My Requests as they do show in both?
According to what information we have you can send an additional boost to an individual 8 hours after you sent one previously to that person. We will test this to make sure.

Hi NJones,
When you get those it is usually because a neighbor of yours is working more than one account and the request comes through with the wrong name information. This happens do to a change Facebook made so when they use the switch user in Facebook to change between accounts the information does not get updated correctly.
If you leave the ones listed as a non-friend in the train manager alone and don't click on them, then go to the My Requests it will be listed with the correct name and you can do the boost. You will also be able to figure out who is doing this and can inform them that they need to use a different browser for each account so this doesn't happen.

I am redoing my farm (#18) and moved my existing train cars into my storage. I went to move my enhanced freight train to my farm and it would not go. I went to refresh and went back into my storage and I cannot find my enhanced freight train. It appears my cars are there, but not the enhanced freight train. Can you help me please? Thank you.

I got 4 trains today and it says nonfriend, How can anyone send me 4 trains and not even be listed as a friend on my Facebook friends her farm name is Sage, I clicked on it and went to her farm she has 4 farms and not facts level 300 I have not boosted her trains. Her picture is a nice picture with a man. I hope no one has broken into my farm. Please let me know. Thank you.

No one has broken into your farms. When you get those it is usually because a friend of yours is has access to more than one account and the request comes through with the wrong name information and shows up as non-friend as you are not friends with the other account.
This happened due Facebook changes and can happen if they used Facebooks switch user or the same browser for both accounts and did not close Facebook and the game or the browser before logging into the other account so the information does not get updated correctly.
If you boost them from the Train Manager you will likely see the expired message and then have to close the train manager and reopen it for those to clear.
If you want to boost them as long as they are not already boosted, you can boost all the other train boosts you have first via the Train Manager then go to My Requests and see if you see 4 train boosts there from the same person that have not cleared yet. When you find them those will have the correct friends picture so you know which friend it was and can let them know what has happened. You will be able to boost or clear the train boosts from My Requests and see the correct message.

In the store, the ? for the Long Cattle Car doesn't give the info it should.

Train Manager is not working properly. The trains to be boosted are not showing up. Also the sending boost request I keep getting an error message.

This is affecting all of us. Your own boost requests are sent anyway no matter you are receiving the error message.
You and your friends will have to search for boost requests in the My Requests tab.

I just noticed that I can, indeed, send gifts and send train boost requests. I still get the red notices, but the requests DO go through. Very strange. ;)

Yes, gifts and trains boost requests are sent no matter the error is still showing up.
Only be sure to take a look at your My Requests from time to time to see if you got boosts requests as they are only showing up there and not in your Train Manager.

Im on your farm 1 and the train with the Standard locomotive is showing as dispatched and it will be back in 6 days.
But you have a problem there, only 2 of the long cars are correctly attached, the Long Cattle car and the Long Animal Products car.
All the other long cars are not connected correctly.
You need to wait for the train to be back, unload it and then attach the long cars again. Please use the Yellow hand in your tool box to do this. If you use the Green or Purple hands then they could get overlaped.
To be sure all the cars are correctly attached, click in the Locomotive and select 'Show Train Details'. The Long Freight Cars that are correctly coupled to your Locomotive will be highlighted in white. The ones that you don't own or that are not correctly coupled will be dimmed out.
You have the same problem with your train on farm 2. It is dispatched and will return in about 2 hours. But only the Long Container car is correctly attached.

As was mentioned. Please click on the engine, then click to show train status. That will show you what and how many cars are actuallty attached correctly as those will be in a white background.
If it does not show all of the cars in white then they are not correctly attached. You will need to then wait until the train has returned, unload it and then reposition the cars with the yellow hand and check as each is connected to make sure it is right.
The highlighting as it was in flash does not give the correct indications.

If it is only showing 2 hours until returning then check your computer date and time as the game uses that for the times. If that is off then it can show you the wrong return length.

It has just returned, and using work pooter so date/time all good....

*Update, my other train (with only the 2 carriages dispatched) is showing a 6 day return so .....not really sure what is going on,however, the issue started when the FB issue (gifts/boosts etc) started so hopefully i will sort itself out when they fix that

As I said the time is set by your computer's date and time. If that is not correct when you dispatch that can cause the times to be incorrect.

I noticed that not all of my facebook friends playing farmtown are shown in the "all farmers"-selection when I want to accelerate trains. Four of them are only shown in the "neighbours"-selection. Why does this happen?

Hi Uma,
We get those lists from Facebook and sometimes not all the data transfers. Unfortunaely there isn't any way to correct the missing data.
You can try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and check again.

It may not work in this case however.

Hi Suska,
I've had a look at your trains and there are problems with the 2 trains on your farm 12 which is why you're having to work more facilities yourself before the mayor takes over. Not all the long cars on both of those trains are correctly connected.
Go to that farm or open your train manager and open each of those trains on Farm 12 and look either in the Train Status Section or the Freight Cars section and you will see how many and which long cars are carrying goods. The ones that are not showing up or are greyed out are either not on that train or not connected correctly even though the highlight on both of the trains looks ok.
What you will need to do is wait for each of those trains to return home, unload it, then take the Long Cars off it and ONLY use the Yellow Hand in the tool box to reconnect the long cars again. Do not use the other Freestyle Farm Designer hands as those can cause problems with connecting trains and the long cars correctly as they can allow overlapping of items.
Once you have reconnected the long cars and BEFORE you dispatch it you need to check the Freight Cars Section of that train and see if all of the long cars you attached to the locomotive are all showing up and not greyed out. Only the long cars that are correctly connected will not be greyed out. Any greyed out are either not on that train or not correctly connected.
Once you are sure you have all the long cars showing up in the Freight cars section of that train, then you can dispatch it again.

Can you please invent a tool to work our neighbors facilities? I love my neighbors & love to work their facilities, but a few of them have so many factories & facilities, that it takes a couple of hours to do 1 neighbor alone. Most of us do not have time for this. I can usually only manage to give up 1 day a week to work neighbors facilities.
Make the tool say $200 or even $500 or a $1000.
I think a lot of people would buy it.

If you have 2 trains dispatches with at least 10 long cars (they cost farm cash) attached to them, then the Mayor can work all your friend's facilities in all farms from the farm you arrived.

Are you able to send gifts from the Send Gifts tab?
This may just be that the data didn't transfer between Facebook and Farm Town temporarily.
Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.

Hi Charlie,
It happens when someone is working more than one set of farms. When they use the switch user in Facebook then what they post or in this case send a train boost shows to be under the wrong account information. They need to either close out of one Facebook account and open the next one instead of using the switch user. Or use different browsers for the different accounts.
If you have not clicked on the train boost, then go to your My Requests and it should show the correct information and you should be able to boost it. This is because of some change Facebook made a while back.

Your trains are both dispatched and on their trip no matter you got that message.
Please wait till the enhanced is back, unload it and try to dispatch it again. If you get the same message again, then let us know.

The incorrect data gets sent and it looks like it is from someone you are not friends with. The only way they can prevent that from happening is to use a different browser for each account.
If you see one of those do not try to boost it through the Train Manager. Instead go to your My Requests and it will show the correct information and you will be able to boost the train.

I just cleared your trains data for that farm. Sometimes, this clearing affects the trip for those trains, so please check if they are still on their trip or if they are back.
If they are back, just unload them, and dispatch them again and see if you get the same error message.

they were back, so I unloaded them and dispatched them but I still get the same error. But it says they're loaded correctly via going to my 21st farm. But the Train Manager I get the error

I have four trains on my farms, 1 14 15 35, all have farm cash carriages with ten on each. I understood I would get 80% from the mayor, but this is not happening.
Have I misunderstood this?

I moved your post to the thread about the trains.
As long as you have at least 3 trains with 10 cars on them dispatched then when you unload one that has returned yes you will get the 80% bonus which will show as a separate line in the pop up text.
If you are not getting that then check each of your trains and make sure that they are in fact dispatching all 10 carraiges. You can see that in the Train status when you open the trains in the train manager.

How do you "wrap" trains around when you have run out of room going in the same direction? I'd like to keep all my trains on the same farm as I'm not real familiar with using them as of yet.

Please wait till the enhanced is back, unload it and try to dispatch it again. If you get the same message again, then let us know.

I have moved your post to the thread about trains.
The different long cars do not carry the same amount of products, so it depends what long cars are on the train, not necessarily the amount of long cars attached.
For example the long quarry car carries far more products than the long logs or long fish car do. Your neighbours then get between 1% and 3% of all the products being carried by the train when they boost it.
You can open and train and in the Freight Cars section click on a question mark on a long car on that train to see what products it brings then mouse over each product to see the amounts.
OR you can check the Game Guide Chapter 29 Trains in the What can i get from the trains? post to see a list of them. Here's the link:

Hi AuntyLyn,
What is happening is those players are using more than one account. Facebook made some changes a while back that causes the wrong data to be sent when they use the switch user in Facebook so they show as non-friends to you.
You can get the correct information and boost those trains if you don't click to boost them in the train manager. Instead leave them alone in there and go to your My Requests tab and find them there. They will have the correct information there and you can boost them from there.

I visited your farms and the problem is that you dont have 3 trains with at least 10 long cars attached.
Your trains on farms 14 and 15 are ok.
Train on farm 1 has only 9 long cars attached, as the Sliding-Door car is a decoration and not a long car which costs farm cash.
Same with your train on farm 35, only 9 long cars attached, the last car for that train is a decorative Tank car which costs coins, not farm cash.

About your trains:
They are also affected for these issues so they dont show any information for Train status tab.
Please do the following:
Reload the game.
Then click in your yellow tool box and then click in the Train manager.
There you will see all your trains. You can unload, dispatch and ask for boosts from the Train manager.

I have moved your post to help and support for the trains.
Please show everything in your game preferences so that you can see everything that is on the farm that you want to move the train to. You need make sure that where you are trying to place the train is completely clear of any other items and preferably a slightly larger space than the locomotive or cars look like they need to set them back down. Trains and cars don't like being placed too close to something that is already on the farm so if there are items close to where you want to put the train you may need to move those further away so that you can get your train back out of storage.
If that isn't the problem please supply your farm link or user id and let us know which farm has the problem so we can take a look. You user is located below the yellow box where your game is loaded.

Hi Early Girl,
The only thing you can do for her is to boost others trains that show up for her. You can not do anything with her own trains.
EDIT: Allow Management of Trains
This will allow your Super Neighbours to manage your trains: This includes dispatching and unloading your trains and also boosting others trains. To enable this setting you need to add the check mark and click the green check mark to save.

At any rate I used the train manager this morning to unload and dispatch my trains but when I got to the single train on Farm 22 (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?farm_id=100000443968605&farm_ix=21), it came up with "Error: This train cannot be dispatched because it contains a Long Flowers Car that is already dispatched as part of another train in this farm." Since I only have 1 train on Farm 22, I thought maybe I messed up when I dispatched the 2 trains on Farm 14 but they appear to have unloaded and been dispatched fine (there is 1 Long Flowers Car on each of those trains). I was able to unload the train on 22 but not dispatch it. Is there a way that I can dispatch and boost it? Thank you.

I just cleared your train data.
Please close your farms in all tabs you have it open. Then wait for a few minutes and reopen the game and see if you can dispatch your train on farm 22.

Hi LindaMHS70,
I've had a look at your trains and there are problems with two of your dispatched trains.
The train on Farm 19 doesn't have the long animal car correctly connected.
The train on your Farm 29 doesn't have the long tank car and the long refrigerated car correctly connected.
This is why the mayor is not doing the full amount of facility work for you when you work friends facilities.
Although the train highlight looks ok on them, that's not the best way to ensure the locomotive and long cars are correctly connected before you dispatch them, especially if you were to move them or add more to them over time.
What you will need to do is wait for each of those trains to return home, unload it, then try reconnecting the long cars again but ONLY use the Yellow Hand in the tool box to reconnect them. Do not use the Freestyle Farm Designer hands as those can cause problems with connecting the locomotive and long cars correctly as they can allow overlapping.
Where you have a lot of items very close to the train and in one case underneath the train you may need to move or remove some so that you have enough space to be able to do it.
Please remember that if you need to move or store any facilities that you do NOT store any facilities that are part of this weeks NCC contest or that will cause you to abandon the contest and there is no way to get you back into it.
Once you have reconnected the locomotive and long cars and BEFORE you dispatch it you need to open each train (either from the train itself or via the train manager) and check the Freight Cars Section of that train and see if all of the long cars you attached to the locomotive are all showing up with a white background and not dimmed out.
Only the long cars that are correctly connected will not be dimmed out.
Any that are, are either not on that train or are not correctly connected.
Once you are sure you have all the long cars showing up in the Freight cars section of that train, then you can dispatch it again.

Suggestions section is only to post ideas for the game, when you have a problem or a question, please post it in Help & Support where we have official threads for all game functions. :)
No matter the train is hightling all 10 cars when you hover your mouse on the locomotive, there is something better you can do to be sure they are all correctly attached.
BEFORE you dispatch the train you need to open it (you can do this from the train itself or via the Train Manager) and check the Freight Cars Section of that train and see if all of the long cars you attached to the locomotive are all showing up with a white background and not dimmed out.
Only the long cars that are correctly connected will not be dimmed out.
Any that are, are either not on that train or are not correctly connected.
Please remember that only the Long cars (the ones which cost farm cash) counts for the train. The other cars are only decoration.
To attach the long cars to the locomotive, please use the Yellown hand in your yellow tool box. If you use the green hand or the purple hand then long cars could be overlapped and not correctly attached.

Is there a way to make the train cars look connected but not be connected?
I took the animal car off my train because I have enough animals for now, then popped it back into place once the train was dispatched. Next train run, the car was connected again. Would putting a non-fc car between them do it?

No putting a coin car in front of it won't prevent it from being dispatched. The only thing you can do is put it in your storage.

Are you possibly unloading more than 1 at a time? If you do that then you will not get the bonus for the others. The rule says at least 3 trains dispatched or ready to unload. To make sure you get the bonus unload 1 train then dispatch it again before you unload the next one.

According to what you are showing in the train manager you only have 2 trains with long cars on them and they are both dispatched already. You can't dispatch them again until they return, you unload them and then dispatch them again.

So after about 17 or so months I still can not boost other peoples trains or send gifts from the lists. I know that I was told this is a Facebook problem but I have not had any answers from there either. Has there been a work around for this problem?

This is a problem that Facebook has not solved yet for some. There isn't anything we or you can do to fix this. It requires a fix from Facebook and we do not have any additional information.

Hi Larwin,
You can't have the same long cars on one train, they must be different long cars. If you put a 2 of the same long car on the same train the other one becomes decoration.
You can't have 2 of the same speed locomotive on the same farm either.
We haven't come across any limit on how many coin cars you can put on a train yet.
You can put all 19 different long cars on one train, but remember if you decide to modify any trains and have 2 that help with working facilities, those must be correctly reconnected before you dispatch them again.

Hi Larwin,
You can have one of each long car on each train.
What you can't do is put more of the same long car on the same train.
If you wanted 2 long fish cars, you put one on one train and the other one on the other train.
Just make sure that if you have 2 trains on the same farm that they do not have the same speed locomotive on the front. So one standard locomotive per farm, not 2 standard locomotives on the same farm.

If you overthink things or get confused easily, when you read information in the game guide just read one bit at a time, then repeat it and give it a break.
Sometimes it's not the best idea to try to remember the whole thing at once. Some things can't be explained in very short posts.
When you want more than one train on the same farm all you have to remember is that the locomotives on the front can not be the same.
When it comes to what long cars to put on a train, any 10 out of the 19 there are is fine.

It may not be recognizing that car but when I physically counted cars on that train I saw only 9.
To reconnect the flowers car. you will have to wait until the train returns and unload it. Do not dispatch it. Then use the yellow hand to reposition the flowers car. Check in the status by clicking on the engine. Do not just highlight the engine to see as that is not reliable to determine if it is connected.

I am sorry but that is a Facebook caused issue and as far as we know they have not fixed this yet. There isn't anything that Farm Town can do to fix this issue that has affected some for so long.

I am having trouble with trains. No neighbors are showing. No neighbors are showing under the toggle farmtown console. all blank faces and no names. My requests show a name and no face. This is for wall requests: We could not find any friend asking for help in your News Feed Wall, there is nothing for other either. I have rebooted, cleaned the mem cache and more. I am having trouble with trains. No neighbors are showing. No neighbors are showing under the toggle farmtown console. all blank faces and no names. My requests show a name and no face. This is for wall requests: We could not find any friend asking for help in your News Feed Wall, there is nothing for other either. I have rebooted, cleaned the mem cache and more. Even changed browsers and that didn't help. My USER ID number is: 1334012832 Build No: 386.

It seems facebook is doing something in the server you are using so data is not being transfered.

This has been going on for a long time, I can't request boosts for my trains. It won't load any farmers. I tried quite a while ago to get help with this, but no results, so I've just lived with it. But I would like it fixed. I should be able to have all the options that everyone else has. Thank you.

I have 1 SN who has given me train management permissions and up to now everything has been working as normal but today I can not dispatch his trains, I was able to unload them but then they disappeared from the screen and didn't allow me to dispatch them .. I have run Memcache and cleared everything in my browser but no change .. his trains are not showing up in his train manager on my screen at all .. the on-screen message states he has no trains to manage but when I click on each train locomotive and click the status tab, it states the train is not dispatched.
Is there a way to fix this?
He has also used Memcache, unchecked the permissions, cleared cookies, history and browser cache, restarted his browser, logged back into his farm and re-enabled the permissions but there was no change, the train icon in the bottom toolbox on my screen is not greyed out, his trains do appear in his train manager on his screen but not on mine. He has more than enough coins and fuel to dispatch his trains.

Maybe you contacted Support?
We know that there are some users who are not able to send boost requests due a facebook problem which is not affecting all of us.
Is this problem affecting only the list for boosting your trains or those lists dont load either when you try to send gifts?
If you cant load the lists neither for trains boosts nor for sending gifts, then check if your browser still has 3rd party cookies allowed.

Also, you could check if all your friends/neighbors playing the game are still playing. If they have not played for a long time you could delete them from your neighbors tab and also as friends in facebook if you dont have a real contact with them.

Thanks for the info storm.
Please ask him to check if all long cars are correctly attached to the trains not by highlighting them but by clicking in the locomotive and then see if all the long cars have a white background in the Freight cars tab.
If all is correct, then delete both of you as superneighbors again.

He has 10 or more long cars attached to his train engines .. he dispatched them himself and I can see they are dispatched from his train manager when I click on the bottom left toolbox, we are going to see if the issue remains or resolves itself once they are ready to be unloaded again.

Have you checked your FB permissions for FT? I had an issue and I authorized FarmTown to do all that it requested. You can check in settings, under Apps and websites.

The train manager tells me that my Enhanced Freight Locomotive cannot be dispatched because I have another Enhanced Freight Locomotive on the same farm. I checked. I don't. I have a total of five trains, all different engines. My ID is 634471031. It's on my Farm 39, if you need to take a look. When I click on the train itself on the farm, it shows it is on its way to more markets for four more days (it's not boosted yet). But the train manager does NOT show it as dispatched. Any idea what I can do to fix this? The train is transparent so I can't move it.

I have cleaned your train data. Please close and reopen your farms. And see if it shows dispatched.
If it is still not showing try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and check again.

it states If you have 2 trains dispatched with 10 Long Cars on each train the Mayor will complete all facilities on all farms for you without you needing to navigate to each farm
I have 3 trains on farm 15 each with different loco and one has 10 long, the other two have 11 and 13 long and another train on farm 33 that only has 3 long.
But when my friends to to work my facilities they still have to navigate to 19 farms and work 50% of them before the mayor completes them all. So what am I doing wrong for the mayor to not make them have to go to all the farms?

The trains part for the facility work is for you when you work others facilities, not for when your neighbors come to work your facilities. They would have to have their own 2 trains with the 10 cars each for the mayor to work your facilities for them.

Hi Farmer Donner,
You can not move or change the engine or any car until the train has returned and you unload it. You have to do that after it is unloaded and before you dispatch it again.
For the track it must be in place before the train is set on it, so you will have to move the car or engine that normally sits over it, place the track, then put the car back.
Besure you use the yellow hand for moving any engine or car so you can get them to line up correctly. Be sure after you do the moving or replacing that you check the Freight Cars list in the Train details by clicking on the engine of the train. Cars that are attached correctly will show. Cars that are not attached will be greyed out.

Hi Sandie,
I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about the trains to answer you. Please do not post questions or problems in the Suggestions section. That section is for suggesting changes to the game.
You add cars to your train by buying them in the store and attaching them to the end of the train. Do have to have space open to be able to add them.
Also if you are adding long cars to your train you can only have 1 of each type on a train.

For the first set of trains there is no purchase order requirement, it’s only for the second set of trains that you need to have 1 of each train first.

It should show up in both places, your My Requests and your Train manager unless it is expired.
If you click in the request in your My Requests and you get an expired message then it doesnt show in your Train manager.
Also, just to be sure, reload your game and then open the Train manager to see if the boost request shows up.

When you moved the cars were the trains back and unloaded? If not then you will need to move those cars back where they were and wait for the trains to return and unload them.
I will clear your train data but I am not sure that will fix the issue until the trains return if they are showing dispatched when you check them through the engines. nYou will need to close and reopen your farms.

I don't think the super neighbor would have been doing anything with your trains. I did clean your train data. Did you close and restart your farms?

I think I accidentally hit a link to block some folks when I sent a train boost request yesterday.
Now I can only send to a hand full of players and NONE of my neighbors or people who help me.
What have I done and how to I fix it?

As far as I know there isnt any link to block someone while you are sending them boost requests.
When the friends list shows up, which filter are you using? You have All Farmers, My Neighbors, Recently Sent to, Farmers helping me.
Could it be that you have already sent those friends another train today?
You could go to your Facebook settings and then click in Blocked in the left column. Check the option for Blocked users. If you have some blocked you can click to see your blocked list.
You can also check Blocked users in your game.
Load the game and then click in Account tab.
Click in Blocked Users and see if your friends are showing up.
If so, then click in Unblock button.

Your friend needs to post the problem herself with her id number or you have to provide her id number.
Also which train is having the problem and the farm where it is placed.

That Turbo loco is on farm 12 and it shows as dispatched, but it doesnt have any long cars attached if you look at the farm. But if you open the train, then the long cars attached to Supreme locomotive are showing as dispatched in the Turbo train.
Please wait for the Turbo to complete the trip. When it arrives home, then ask your friend to unload it.
Once it is unloading then attach the long cars showin in the Supreme Loco to the Turbo train.

Hi Linda :)
You can go to your farm 12 and check the time on the train itself by clicking in the Turbo locomotive, then in Show Train Details.
Then click in Train Status button and you see the time left.
Or
Open your Tool box and click in Show times icon (the Clock).
Click in Trains button
See if the info shows the time for the train on farm 12
When the Turbo train is back, unload it.
Then use the yellow hand to move the long cars to the Turbo locomotive from the Supreme Locomotive if that is your wish.
Then reload the game and check if the Turbo train is showing up in the Train manager.
If it is, then dispatch it yourself.
If it is not showing up, then please come back here and let us know.

Then click in Show Train Details.
Then click in Train Status.

Are you sure the boost request is not showing up in your Train manager?
What we have seen is when a boost request has expired, it doesnt show in the Train manager but it shows up in your My Requests tab. When you click in it, it shows an expired message.

are they never gonna get a work around so that i can send my trains...ever since platform was changed im still not able after i spent money to buy these...

It is not something Farm Town can fix. It is a Facebook caused issue and we have no word on when they will get it fixed. Changing the platform had nothing to do with this problem as that part and the interaction with Facebook did not change.
The only other things that can cause this would be how many friends you have in Facebook who play the game as Facebook has lowered several times how many names they will transfer. So if you have a large number of friends who play or played the game then that could still be causing you to not get the list.

My grandson timberwolf03, attempted to register on slashkey here today and supplied the necessary email account, but he neglected to check if his email account was active. When he received the message to go to his email account to activate the new account here, he had to reactivate the account. Can you please resend the instructions to his email address.

I recently updated my train locomotives to make them faster. I went from 2 freight, to a turbo, ultimate and a freight train. I added a turbo and moved a few extra cars for the two freights and dispatched it without a problem. I then added a ultimate and put a few cars from both freight trains to get that to 10 cars and maintain 1 freight at 10 cars and put 1 freight train in storage. I waited until both the turbo and the freight train had both returned and were loaded. I unloaded the freight train and then moved enough of those cars to storage to upgrade the turbo to the 10 car requirement. I then dispatched the freight train with two cars on it. I then unloaded the turbo and attempted to add the cars from storage to the turbo and received the message "couldn't move item from storage to farm, please try later". What did I do wrong? How do I resolve this?

If your train is very close to other items or just close to plowed fields then you can get that kind of message. Trains dont like to have items close to them.
You need to have a clear space arount the train before moving the cars from storage.
If you want us to check, then you need to provide your used id number (you find it at the botton of the farm screen page) and also the farm number where the locomotive is placed.

I read the message and found out that entire area is layered with trees, flowers. Found an area that only had plowed fields, so I cleared them and put all the long cars on the farm. Since I only have the yellow design hand, I unchecked all the preferences in the display section, reloaded the farm and moved all the cars to the train without any problem. Made sure they were all connected and dispatched the train. Thank you for the help. You probably don't hear this enough but "YOU"RE AMAZING"

Is there any way I can hide my trains???? I am streamlining my farms and adding some room for crops. I cannot work around the trains as I can't find a way to make them not visible. There is no box pertaining to this in the farming preferences and when I click on any of the cars, they give us no options of any kind. This has been driving my OCD brain crazy. I imagine there must be a way to do it, but I'll be darned if I can figure it out. Counting on your guy's knowledge to help. Thanks.

You have the option to hide the trains once they are unloaded but they show up again when you refresh the farm. So basically you cant hide them.
Trains dont like to have items too close that is why you cant put things near them.

I am having a problem with my Enhanced Locomotive. It's got 10 cars on it and last week when a friend boosted it she only got a little over 11k in product, today when the same train was boosted it was a little over 32k. Why would the payout change and be so low, with that many cars?

The only thing I can say about the difference is the train may have dispatched with less cars last week giving less. The ones boosting for you only get a percentage of the products carried. The larger amount looks about right for the number and type of cars on your train.

Afternoon. I am trying to rotate a locomotive using the rotate feature of my purple hand, but I cannot get it to work. I cannot get any feature of the purple hand to do anything with my train. Has that been disabled? And if so, how would I rotate a locomotive?

Hi Early Girl :)
Is your train in its trip?
If so, you have to wait till it returns home and then you need to unload it.
Then you will be able to use your purple hand or if you dont want to use it, just click in the locomotive and choose Rotate from the menu.

Since FT came back online, I've not been getting boost notifications from neighbours in My Train Manager, instead they are appearing in the My Requests tab, which isn't handy as i need to use My Train Manager to boost 20 trains from friends using the Train Manager as part of my Farm Pass tasks for this month. If I boost the train by going through My Requests, then it isn't counted as part of the task I want to complete in Farm Pass. I've cleared the FT cache, cookies etc, but that hasn't worked. Any ideas on how I can get the boosts to appear in My Train Manager again, please? Thanks.

That is very strange. When you only get boost requests in your My Requests tab but not in your Train Manager, then it is as those boost requests are expired.
Please check if your browser is up to data and also if you have any pending update for Windows or Mac in case you use it.
I got updates for Windows and Chrome browser yesterday.
Also, ask one of your nieghbors to send you a train. Once it is sent, then reload your game and check your train manager.
See if it is showing up there or only in your My Requests tab.
If you have another updated browser in your computer, also check if you get the same problem.Thanks and let us know. :)

The second one is the problem (I have another on 22 that I haven't tried yet). I unloaded, dispatched and pulled up the pop up for the boost. Nothing happened except my screen froze. I did it again, same thing only this time I got a red notice at the top of my screen "Pop up blocked." Third time, I cleared memcache first, went to the farm and, since it was dispatched, I brought up the pop up screen except there was nothing and the little red message "Pop up blocked". Again, the screen froze. I attempted to move to Farm 22 to see if that train was going to give me the same block message; but, instead of going to Farm 22, it took me to Farm 7. Thank you for any info/input/ideas of what I can do (or did wrong) is greatly appreciated. I restarted the game, went to my 22 - did the train just fine. I'm back on 14 with the mule train and now it seems to be working but I only put in 1 name so far.

I don't think the blocking of the pop up came from Farm Town. We have never had a message like that. That seems to be either coming from your browser or your antivirus protecting the browser.
I just sent boosts out for 2 of my trains and no pop up and I got the lists just fine.

I moved your post to the thread about Trains.
Im sorry this happened to you but there is nothing we can do about it. Only Facebook has to fix but we do not have a response about why the havent done this yet.
You may contact facebook reporting an error but you know they are not good answering.
If you try to send gifts from the Send gifts tab, do you have the same problem? or it is only for trains boosts?
Im not sure if this could work for you or not but if you have lot of friends and you have problems with both features, one thing you could try is to check if all your game friends are still playing.
If they have stopped playing, then you could remove them as neighbors and also as facebook friends and see if the lists then load.

Yes for both. I thought I would try Edge on my Samsung Note 20 Ultra. I can do FT on it pretty good with Edge. This is the first time I have seen this error and only on Samsung Edge app.

Im confused, you said you were not able to send train boost requests since 2021 and you cant send gifts from Send gifts tab either.
Are you trying to play and send gifts/boost requests from a mobile only or did you try on a computer?
We know that some farmers use a mobile device to do some things on the game but maybe not all the functions work so you may get errors.
You need to try the game in a computer, and then see if you get the same error.
The error "param filters has too many elements" is showing up since 2021 or is this a complete different error?

It can be one of 2 things. Either it is the Facebook issue that is affecting some that will not open the list for those. Facebook to the best of our knowledge has yet to fix that.
Or you have too many friends that play Farm Town. Facebook has limited the number of names they will pass on for thaose lists a couple times. We do not know what the limit is at this time, but if you have a lot of friends that play you may need to cut down that number to get the list to display.
