Well here is my input with the new features to the facilities.

Make sure you have at least 2 hours to load the facilities and be prepared to be totally frustrated when you think you have a facility loaded for if you re checked finding that only 1 or 2 of maybe 6 will be actually done.

The connection to server lost occurred 6 times during the 2 hours it took to fill my facility ( I had 10 facilities to fill).

The only fix I can see is to only click 4 or 5 times for each item...refresh...go back and again click 3 or 4 times...refresh and continue until you have what you want in the facility. This will take about 1-2 hours with 5 to 7 facilities to work.

One little thing...when l put down my new cinnamon tree it disappeared as the pop-up came up to show me the axe feature. No, l do not have trees hidden. Also l had not picked up the axe yet to use it (l don't think so, l wanted a look at the tree!). No big deal at this point - there will be plenty more free gift trees!

They grow. Planted a few that were gifted last night, cut them down and they were back last night.

Wish all the trees planted that way, makes is so easy to plant.

Tried the new Ax feature on a few pines late last night. The stumps now indicate 95% grown, but show no evidence of growth. Perhaps they'll just spring back full grown.
I was thinking that they would grow like flowers of crops -- gradually. And hoping perhaps we could freeze growth at various heights which would give us the variety of height pines that would be useful in creating our layouts. .... Apparently not, but that's okay. I'm happy with being able to harvest them and then have them regrow.

Hey there,

Read below the recent updates to FarmTown. These are mainly functionality features, tomorrow we will be releasing new levels, facilities and paths.

1. Axe tool to chop Pine, Oak, Bamboo and Cinnamon trees: Notice the Oak was previously a harvestable tree producing Accorns, this is not the case anymore. From now on, Oak trees are not harvestable, you can only chop them with the Axe to produce stuff later on in your facilities. Oak tree is now at level 44. New facilities comming to process the chopped logs.

The Mayor will re-plant all chopped trees overnight, to save you the burden of doing it yourself.

2. Start production of multiple batches at once on your facilities: There is a button '+ 10' right next to the 'Start production' button in all the facilities. That button will start the production of 10 (or sometimes, less) batches with one single click.

3. Product filters in storage and market windows: This will allow you to find faster the products you are looking for. Notice that the 'non-ingredients' filter will show you all the products that can not be used as ingredients in your facilities.

4. Ground options on the Paths/Ground section in the Store: You can now select different ground types for your fam, this is a per-farm setting. More ground types comming soon.

5. New Tea Crop.

I went through every facility I have last night after the update and it only took me about 30 minutes and that was mostly because I was being slow and doing other things at the same time. You might try clearing your cache and checking to see if your flash player is up to date. After the last update there was some major problems, a link was posted that would take you to the adobe site and you can delete the cached info and it will reload a clean updated copy of the game. I also adjusted the amount of information that it is allowed to store on my computer and that seems to have helped a lot.

There was also a comment posted that had the links for doing a clean install of the flash player, I couldn't find it again but if you do a search of the June 18 update you might have better luck finding it again than I did! If you are loading about 100 units or so then sure but I always load the max into the 2,3 and 4 thousand units. Normally takes about 15 minutes ...now 2 hours.

Everything is updated and I even have a nice new FAST computer. Catche is cleared also...still 2 hours with the connection to server lost 6 times.

A total nightmare and took all the fun out of this area of the game.

I am thinking of selling the facilities and going back to a simpler time.

When you select the non ingredients (ones you will not be needing) and click on one to sell...

THE SELECTION REVERTS TO ALL and you can easily sell something you need. It worked fine last night but not anymore. I ended up selling my asparagus that I needed so sell at your own risk if you don't check the setting on each and every click.

You can always do like I've done...layer trees on top of crops. It's a lot of work, but worth it.

I detest layered trees - especially when the farmer has multiple thjousands of tress - you cannot possibly see all of the ones ready to harvest, so the "boss" sends you back again and again!


I've dumped a couple of neighbors for doing this and expecting me to praise their ingenuity!

Typically, people blame Farmtown because Farmtown is at fault. And please don't try to tell me that the lag in loading facilities is an internet connection issue because it isn't. It is a lot better now with the 10+ button, before that you actually had to wait for each one to get transmitted to the server, the server accept it, then the next one. And if you leave before it finishes, you don't get production and have to start over which is precisely what the problem was.

I had the same problem as Wingman but with 16 facilities. Didn't take me anywhere near 2 hrs to load them though, even with a half dozen time outs. I always (and still do) figured it has something to do with my computer. With the new loading options for facilities it is nowhere near as bad as it was.

I've dumped a couple of neighbors for doing this and expecting me to praise their ingenuity!

Everyone is different so please don't judge others by what you detest. I am not insane...just making use of one farm by planting only crops, trees, flowers and a fish factory. My trees are not so close together than you cannot see they're ready to harvest. Please lighten up, it's only a game. We all have our likes and dislikes, but calling someone "insane" is uncalled for.

To be honest, I actually can't think of anything that we haven't already got, that could improve Farmtown. Love it, addicted .... but as someone said a short while ago, I'm like a kid on Xmas Eve ... :)

I have spent on average 18 hrs a day on FT since I joined, have 3 seperate accounts, each with 4 fully extended farms, and always look forward to updates. I've been thru all the problems and glitches with everyone else ... yes, they are a pain at the time, but when the devs and the powers that be rectify the probs, this is still worth all the hassle and VERY late nights :)

Typically, people blame Farmtown because Farmtown is at fault. And please don't try to tell me that the lag in loading facilities is an internet connection issue because it isn't. It is a lot better now with the 10+ button, before that you actually had to wait for each one to get transmitted to the server, the server accept it, then the next one. And if you leave before it finishes, you don't get production and have to start over which is precisely what the problem was.

I love the New Updates especially that one with storage so you can go to Market and know what to sell, one thing though if I might suggest, I did use it to go and sell stuff that were not ingredient to use in factories, thing I noticed is once I sold one thing it flipped back to ALL and I have to go back to non ingredient again, so is there a way to make it so that when you do use that option it doesn't continue to flip back to all every time?

rebooting the browser...at least with facebook is MANDATORY if you want to keep moving along. I've never had issues with FT, but its much tamer then say farmville who has to popup you to death. Cookies are on auto pilot so no worries there. A good hard cleaning never hurt either as many would be suprised just how much of their energy is sucked out by junk you never heard of much less wanted on your computer. Even those cute little desktop icons that clutter most screens are EVIL!

Thanks for all the great new stuff. One thing I really miss is TOMATO'S, which were taken from the gift page. Sometimes, I need TOMATO'S when I'm making pizza...now, we must wait for two days. Personally, I'd rather have TOMATO'S than a flower pot, which one cannot see without the zoom.

Fantastic !!!!!!! I love the inventory filters. No more selling stuff I may need later. You have made this back into a game instead of having to work hard at it. When I first started Farm Town, it was laggy and awkward. Now, while it still lags a bit depending on Facebook, it is so much smoother, so many less problems. Still the odd glitch when new stuff is added, but you guys are on the ball for sure. Thank you for a very good game. Good bye Farm Ville.

Actually is is slower now not faster. Since the lost connection only happens when I hire out or hire someone and only on this game it is very suspiciously a problem that is not from my internet connection. (Even farrmville doesn't do this and that is saying a lot). Today was the first time I had that annoying pop up when I am on my own farm so things have gone from bad to worse.

Hey there,

Read below the recent updates to FarmTown. These are mainly functionality features, tomorrow we will be releasing new levels, facilities and paths.

1. Axe tool to chop Pine, Oak, Bamboo and Cinnamon trees: Notice the Oak was previously a harvestable tree producing Accorns, this is not the case anymore. From now on, Oak trees are not harvestable, you can only chop them with the Axe to produce stuff later on in your facilities. Oak tree is now at level 44. New facilities comming to process the chopped logs.

The Mayor will re-plant all chopped trees overnight, to save you the burden of doing it yourself.

2. Start production of multiple batches at once on your facilities: There is a button '+ 10' right next to the 'Start production' button in all the facilities. That button will start the production of 10 (or sometimes, less) batches with one single click.

3. Product filters in storage and market windows: This will allow you to find faster the products you are looking for. Notice that the 'non-ingredients' filter will show you all the products that can not be used as ingredients in your facilities.

4. Ground options on the Paths/Ground section in the Store: You can now select different ground types for your fam, this is a per-farm setting. More ground types comming soon.

5. New Tea Crop.

I want to know why I cant see the new levels! I am level 90, and so are most of my neighbors. I may not have enough exp to move up, but several friends have 1,500,000+ exp shouldn't their new levels be reflected on my neighbors' list?
I cleared my cache twice - including favorite sites, etc. Still not seeing them, but I have read many replies indicating they have been added

If she has a lake on that farm, how about "Catfish Blues" (Jimi Hendrix) :) It fits her Woodstock theme... and a Farm Town theme (with the Catfish) :D

The production shouldn't be effected since crops have never stopped growing during a maintenance. Now if you have some short term crops planted and you lose them use the contact button at the bottom of the game and ask for a refund. I did that once and got a refund on my raspberries. They didn't put a warning that time or I wouldn't have planted raspberries.

I was cutting down trees and Pine is selling automatically!

I wanted to stock pile them for the facilities that use them, noticed I was getting coins and checked my storage--cinnamon, oak and bamboo went to storage. Pine did not.

The "contact" is not at the bottom of the FT screen any more either!

We assume they are underway... In about 2 hours, check again...

They're just more than 1/2 way through the estimated time for maintenance, and hopefully the upgrades are part of that maintenance...

As usual I love all the upgrades. If only you would get rid of the one DOWNGRADE...that annoying little bugger who reminds me to send gifts (usually when I"m right in the middle of something) I send gifts and have been doing so for 16 months since I started FT! GO AWAY !!!
