Not sure if this is going to give you the image of the error. It is a screenshot and I tried to get a URL for it.

I get this error showing up when I am working as a Super Neighbour. I don't think it is causing any problems but I'm not sure. I am working on a Macbook Pro, OS Catalina, v 10.15.7, and I use the Chrome browser.
Any ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you still having problems with C20 now? I've been to your farms and not had any problems staying connected.

As you've been getting problems recently please also try clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload the game.

Is the error only happening on a specific neighbours farm, does it happen if you try to do the same thing on your own farms?
Does it happen when working as a super neighbour for someone else?
What job where you doing for them?

Could you have been trying to place anything on a farm that is layered or layering anything on their farm?

Then reload the game and see if you get the same error again when you do the exact same thing. When you are done with what you are doing for that neighbour, refresh the farm and see if what you were doing was saved.

I just loaded your farms and they are connecting fine for me, same my own farms.

Please close everything and reset your router/modem for a minute. Wait a few minutes and then restart your computer.

A DNS error means an internet connection problem. Only thing you can do is wait until it clears up.

Hi John,
I find it strange that no one else is having your problem. Did you try the server test listed in the link in the first post of this thread. The servers are all up and running correctly. We can't fix problems between you and the servers as Slashkey does not control or own those internet links.
Again Slashkey is not launching a social media platform so not competing with Facebook. They are just trying to keep the game alive for us all.

I will try to determine what makes it happen and when. I do know that it happens when I am harvesting, plowing and replanting with the extended combine tool. Also, when I move to the next farm to continue, the message goes away, but then comes up again shortly after I begin work on that next farm…and so on. The farms are layered and have trees, flowers and water, but never all on the same farm. I know that can blow up the game!

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about loading issues since you are having trouble with more than just the quest manager.
Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

What kind of computer are you using?
What do you see in the FT Console when you try to load the game?



The only other thing I can suggest is try a different updated browser. The problem is not the servers. I have loaded your farms with no problems.

Hi vonalm :)

Please be sure your browser and operation system are up to date. If you do any update it is always better to restart your computer.

If updates are not the problem, then close everything and restart your computer.

If nothing works for you then clear your browser cache. Please take in mind that after the clearing, the game will load very slowly as all graphics have to be loaded again.

Can your friend access their own farms?
Is this the only one you can't access for facility work?
See if you can ask them to repost their facilities again and see if that works. It may just be something wrong with that post.

There is nothing we can do on our end. I have loaded your farms and there isn't anything wrong with them.

The only other thing I can say is it may be an internet problem somewhere between you and the servers. There are many links between you and the Facebook app server. There are many more links between the app server and the Farm Town servers. Any one of those links being down can cause no data getting to or from your computer to the game servers. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to determine where the problem is nor get it fixed. The only thing you can do is keep trying and hope they get it fixed soon.
Another thing you could try is another computer in a different location and see if you can get through at that location.

That is a link to an empty farm. Are you using the shortcut link on the left side of your Facebook home page? Or are you using a saved bookmark?
If you are using a bookmark, don't because those can change.
You can also try the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forums and try to get to your farms.

The game has not been down this morning. Your internet to your service provider may be perfectly fine, but that doesn't mean that one of the many links between you and the Farm Town servers isn't down. Those we have no control over.

Do you have a saved link in your computer or browser to load the game?

If so, then dont use it as it could be corrupted.

Instead, load your facebook home page and click in the game icon in the left column or click in Play Farm Town button at the top right of the forum.

I always do memcache and clear browser cookies after a crash, and make sure that doesn't clear the problem before I report it to you.

My Farm Stats and the "Show Names" screen show that my crops on Farm 2 are ready to harvest. However, when I go to Farm 2, it says they are still growing. Memcache didn't clear it. They're out of sync. I've had this issue for a while and it clears out once the farm IS harvested, but then the problem moves to a different farm.

As the developers do not support Ipad, tablets or phones for playing I am sorry but you are on your own for this. We do not have any fixes for those.

It was not an error, I unchecked all Show..... options in your account.

I saw you on this thread for several minutes and thought you were having issues loading the game so I unchecked those options to help you to load your farms.

Wish you'd had some way to let me know that. I WAS having issues. The game wouldn't load the "made with unity screen" then it loaded a grey screen. I thought I was losing it...

I have moved your post to the thread about issues with the game loading.

Have you kept up with your routine browser clearing, browser updates and computer updates? If not please make sure that you do those, close the browser and reopen it. Some browser clearing will log you out of various sites so you will need to know the login details.

Could you also be using a saved bookmark in your browser to play FarmTown?
If you are, please try loading it from the Facebook bookmark on the left side of your News Feed or you can use the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forum.

If those don't help please let us know exactly what it is that you are doing when you get that embedded message, and if it's a specific farm that it's happening with which farm.

First make sure your computer and browser are up to date. If you have to do any updates be sure you restart your computer so they will take affect.

What do you see when you try to load the markets?


Make sure your Edge and computer are upsdated. If you have to do any updates then be sure to restart your computer.


You know you can log out of the other Facebook name in Chrome and Firefox and log into the one you are using in Edge. You are not limited to using one Facebook account in any browser.


The markets are working fine and there is nothing that we can fix about them. It has to be something Edge or your computer is blocking. Do you use CCleaner with Kamos installed? If so uninstall the Kamos part of that.

If you cant load the game in any of the platforms, then check if your browser and computer system are up to date.
After an update is always better to restart your computer.

If that is not the problem then follow all suggestions given in the first post, first page of this thread.

Also, I hid everything in your farms, like trees, waters, crops etc to make it easier for you to load it. You will need to click in your preferences, the wrench, and put a check mark to the Show ....... options you want to see again.

I am sorry but the game was never designed to be able to play on mobile devices even though we know many have been able to in the past and some may still be able to now.

The first thing you should try is logging into the website on your computer to make sure your login details are working fine, before you try logging into the website on a mobile device.

Mobile devices can find loading heavy farms impossible to load, you may want to try setting a farm to default that has the least amount on it, is the smallest size and you may want to remove all the check marks to show everything on your farms so that you have far less to load before you try to load the game on a mobile device or show anything on a mobile device. Ideally you want to try the mobile device while you still have access to use a computer that can load Farm Town and see what it is that you can do on your iPad before you are away. If you find that you can play on your mobile device, check if that device is getting too warm while you play, if it does don't keep the game loaded for long as you do not want it to overheat and damage your device.

With Facebook usually you only have to log out of Facebook and log back in to get the newest update, sometimes it's clearing the browser that is required to get rid of old cookies that could be causing an issue. BUT you would need to know your log in details for Facebook before you tried that on your computer. Mobile and Tablet versions of Facebook usually require you to update the app.

I am not sure what you mean by being kicked off. Are you leaving your game open all the time, never closing it? There isn't anything in the game that will time out and kick you off of the game. The only timer is the 10 minute inactivity all that does is disconnect you from the server putting you off line, but does not kick you out making you to have to log in again.

We are aware the chat server has gone down and have informed the developers. You are still able to work your farms, facilities, gifts and everything as normal. The only thing you can't do is chat, get hired or be hired. Everything else will still work.

We are aware the chat server has gone down and have informed the developers. You are still able to work your farms, facilities, gifts and everything as normal. The only thing you can't do is chat, get hired or be hired. Everything else will still work.

I am not able to still work on my farm. I could a few hours ago in offline mode, but now it won't load at all--not in facebook or the website. I just see the bar loaded to about 80% when I try, but no movement. Thanks

I searched for where to put this issue and could not find a place to post. My Neighbor Bar is not showing on any of the platforms I have tried, including different browsers, Facebook and Slashkey. I have tried restarting the game, clearing memcache and hard reboot. I know of another person that has the same issue so I don't think it is isolated to just me. Would appreciate any work arounds because I am an SN as well as I need to do my quest work.

We have sent this to the developers but we have to wait for them to fix the issue.

Please remember you can work your own farms without problems and also work as super neighbors while we wait for the fix.

Today it's happening again, on the game's own website. I have clicked on the link ( with the spinning cube ) which confirms my browser DOES support Web GL, and I have checked that my drivers and browser (Chrome ) are up to date. Is there anything else I can do or is it part of a bigger problem with the game ?

Did you check to make sure your computer is upto date?
What web GL does your computer say it supports? If it is 1.0 then that may be no longer supported in Chrome. It would have to support 2.0 now.
Have you tried a different browser to see if it will load in it?

Technology is a fickle thing, I've had help and found an update for the driver for the laptop , a link I had the other day wasn't working so I had to go in sideways,lol. So the driver is most certainly up to date now. Oh, I've also enabled something using an access *flags*, if that makes sense,lol.

I can't find anywhere on the laptop that says which version of Web GL I'm using, but now that I have the driver update I will see how that affects it.

Yes that does look like it. The list does not show the whole version number for Chrome unfortunately. Check your Chrome and make sure it is version 113.0.5672.127 which is the latest update.
Have you tried any other browsers to see if it will load in those?


What else are you running when you are trying to play? If you have too much open running that can cause Web GL to fail.


The only other thing I can suggest is go through all the suggestions in the first post including those in the link there.

Yes that does look like it. The list does not show the whole version number for Chrome unfortunately. Check your Chrome and make sure it is version 113.0.5672.127 which is the latest update.
Have you tried any other browsers to see if it will load in those?


What else are you running when you are trying to play? If you have too much open running that can cause Web GL to fail.


The only other thing I can suggest is go through all the suggestions in the first post including those in the link there.

Hi Taz, I've used both Chrome and Edge today and it appears it's working fine, the game didn't crash at all. So I can only think that by updating the NVIDIA driver it's solved the problem.

Please be sure your browser is up to date and also if you have any pending update from Windows or Mac in case you use it.
After an update it is always better to restart your computer.

If that doesnt help, then clear your browser cache. Take in mind that after a clearing, the game will load slowly as all graphics have to be loaded again.

No matter where you run memcache it clears your data on the server and forces it to be reloaded, so you get a clean load.

I have just loaded both versions, Facebook and Website without problems.

If Facebook is down or having problems for you, then it could be something temporaly or maybe they are updating some of their servers.

As you can load the game in the Website then you can continue playing there and check facebook from time to time.

I have closed and reopened Facebook and still have the game icon in shortcuts.

Maybe Facebook is doing an update and you know they dont do it in all servers at the same time.

Try to find a facility work post on facebook and see if it loads for you.

On the other hand we all know that sooner or later the game would go out of facebook.

There isn't any way for us to help them if they do not come to the forums to ask for help. There could be any number of reasons why they can't load the game. At the least they can come to the forums as an unregistered guest and read anything in the forums as it is a public forum, so they can come read the top post of this thread for suggestions on what to try.

First is you didn't list what errors you are getting so I can't answer your questions.



Edit: The errors you added show it may be an internet problem that data packets are missing when you open the game. This is information that is downloaded from the server but apparently not all of it got transferred all the way through. You can try the suggestions in the first post of this thread including those in the link listed in that post to correct this. It is not something that can be fixed from the server end.


Actually the website should be faster, not slower as you are not going through Facebook to get to the game.

Game not loading in Firefox. It gives me a message that site has made Firefox stop working or similar. I was playing on there just hours prior. I am having NO trouble loading my two accounts on Chrome and Brave (on Win7 mind you) so it is not a huge issue unless it expands to other browsers. But I cleaned cache and all that and it still stops with the load bar about 80% and then I get that this page has Firefox stops message.It was working 2 hours prior to that without issue so I have no idea why it won't load in Firefox.
UPDATE: Just tried it again and it loaded in Firefox on both Slashkey and FB. Very weird but glad its working.

We can't remove the login window for you. It looks like you are only getting the password wrong when you try to log into the website so you should only be seeing the Incorrect Password message.

If you are only seeing the Incorrect Password message and not the Incorrect Email or USER ID message, to clear that registration window from the Facebook game AND to be able to use the website, you will need to change your password for the website.

If you are able to read your emails while you are away from home, you can:

go to the website,
attempt to login again
when you see the red Incorrect Password message,
click on the Forgotten Password link which send you an email with a code for the website.
When you enter that code in, it will then ask you to create a new password.
Enter a new password, then you will be able to play on the website.

That will then clear the registration window from the Facebook game.

If you would like to see the process before you try this, click on this link:

OR You can use the registration window in the Facebook game to enter your email address and create a new password for the website.

Whichever method you decide to use you will need to remember that password for when you get home and use it to log into the website on your computer at home or you will get this issue again.

Please try what has been suggested for you to try. There is nothing wrong with the servers and your farms have been loaded by us without any problems.
Your internet service is only one step between you and the Farm Town servers. Your data goes through many links to get to the Farm Town servers and back to you. Any one of those links having problems can cause you to lose connection, not get a complete data transfer, and cause things like the XLink error. Unfortunately those links are not in our control or yours. If it is one of those links then all you can do is wait for the owners of that link to fix the problem.

Please make sure your computer and browser are up to date. If you do have to do an update on either please be sure and restart your computer after those.


If you are using CCleaner program and you have the KAMO part of that program installed you need to remove that part of it as that can block you seeing anyone in the markets. Also make sure you do not have any tracking blockers in your browser add-on/extensions as those can also cause the same problem.

If you don't have those please try changing your language in your preferences to anything other than English US, click the save (disc in upper right) then close and reopen your farms. Then repeat and change it back to English US, save and close and reopen your farms. Then go to the markets and see if you see players there.


If that doesn't work then please contact Support about this. To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

I am sorry but there is no way to transfer your farms to a new Facebook account. Your Farm Town account ID is tied to your Facebook account. The only way to get back into those farms through Facebook is to get your account back.


Have you registered and set up to play Farm Town on the website? You can still play on those farms through the website as long as you have already registered for it.

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about this issue.
Getting disconnected from the server has nothing to do with the size of the server farm. If you are getting repeatedly disconnected then it is probably an internet problem between you and the servers. Either way you play, through Facebook or the Slashkey website your data has to travel through many internet links between you and those servers.Any one of those links can be having a problem with excessive traffic which can cause your action data to not get transferred and disconnect you from the server.
Even if you get disconnected from the server you can still work on your farms and the actions for your farms will still get saved.
You can try the suggestions in the first post of this thread along with the ones in the link there and see if any of those help.

I moved your post to the thread about loading issues. The recommedation for the game is 8GB of memory.

Layering can cause problems even though they may work perfectly for a while. The 9x9 layering of crops is ok, but when you layer trees and flowers and facilities over those then you can start having problems. Your laptop fan running loudly means you are working the processor very hard trying to process all the data for those farms which makes the laptop heat up and the fan to have to work harder trying to cool it. Removing the over layer trees, flowers and possibly waters would help.

One thing you both might want to consider is taking it in and have the laptop physically cleaned. They do tend to suck in a lot of dust and that also can cause heating problems that the fan is trying to cool.

The only thing may be that your security software does not know the website as it is relatively new.

You should be able to add an exception to your security program for the website to allow you to play and still have your security intact.

As that is not a part of the game features and is a trick, we can not give any instructions for doing it. The only thing I can suggest is if you need more fuel then buy more oil pumps and oil refineries.

Have you tried updating your browsers and computer? If you have to do any updates be sure you restart your computer.


What are you seeing when you try to load the 2 versions?

more of an FYI as i had to contact support about my server issue ....

but did anyone know that if you are logged into the new platform and hit support to send in a ticket it kicks you back into Facebook ... even when your log in and pw for Sk are different from what I use on facebook ......

Please be sure that the browser and operation system in that computer are up to date.
After any update it is better to restart the computer.

Also, check your antivirus or firewall as it could be a security issue and the website is not trusted.

Please check that both, your browser and computer system, are up to date. If you need to update any of them, then please restart your computer.

If you have the game open in Facebook, please close it and load only the website.

Hi Jo,
You do not need Flash as it has been disabled and removed. For the current versions of Farm Town you only need a browser with WebGL 2.0

I've had no issues loading your farms on either version of the game.
If you have friends in your local area that also play Farm Town, see if you can check with them to see if they are also having slow downs in the game or with loading it.

If you've not already done so, please check you have kept up to date with computer updates, browser updates and clearing.

Also if you tend not to log out of the website daily, please log out of the website, close the browser for a couple of minutes, reopen it then go to the website and log back in and see if that helps at all.
