I moved your post to the thread for your problem.

Please close everything in your computer and then turn the computer off.

Then reset your router/modem for 3 minutes and reconnect.

See if you notice any change when loading the game.

Also, I have hidden everything in your preferences to let you load the game easily.
I suggest you to do the same when you close the computer till the next day and also choose another farm as your default, with less items in it.

If nothing works for you, then as we have told you before, it could be an internet problem in your zone or in the multiple links you have to go through till you get the app.

When you connect to the game, your data goes through your service provider and then many links to get to the Farm Town servers and then back the same route to get to your computer. Any one of those links having problems or heavy traffic can cause problems with your faerm s being slow or not loading.

You could try to ask your internet provider if they are having problems in your zone. Sadly if there is a problem there or in any links to get the app, we have no control over them.

The only thing I did was hide trees, flowers, crops, decorations, buildings, factories, ponds.

It is only to let you load the game easy. When it is loaded you only have to click in your preferences, the wrench, and put a check mark to all SHOW options and then click in the green check mark.

New computers have lot to updates to do, maybe you could ask a friend or a family member to help you to set it.

The only thing I can suggest is see if there is an update for OperaGX. There was an update for that yesterday. SHould be LVL 5 (core: 109.0.5097.62)

Are you trying to use private browsing in Chrome? It is possible that would be blocking some of the download as it is not all in the same location on the servers. You need to use normal browsing as the private browsing will not work.
If you are not using the private browsing then it may be that you are not allowing cookies and pop ups that are needed for the game. Instructions for that are in the following link:

It has to be something with your laptop as if you are logging in correctly to the game there isn't a trust issue on the server end.

What app/program/plugin on Chrome would be malfunctioning to cause that grey screen? Reminds me of when flash player wasn't updated. *NOTE* so far, not having any loading issues on the "old" laptop. Would internet speed cause this kind of error? Only getting about half what I pay for in a internet speed test while farm town is open on BOTH PCs. Farm Town is taking forever to load on the "new" PC while I'm on this one (this is the only window open on this machine and Farm Town is the only window open on the "new" machine.

Please make sure your computer and browser are updated. If you have to do any updates please restart your computer after doing those so they take affect.

We are all experiencing the off line problem when loading the farms.
Also, there are errorS in the console.

We still are able to work our farms or our Super Neighbors farms off line.

Just take it easy Trina, first try the link I gave you and if it works, then change the one you have saved, maybe it is corrupted.

If the link doesnt work, then check for updates. I also use Chrome and had no problems loading your farms.

Which link is telling you content not available?

The link I gave you is only to log in and will only give you the page to type your credentials to enter the game.

If you got content not available that sounds from facebook not the game, did you try to share something to facebook?

Trina, you are posting different problems.


Your first post was about you were not able to log in the game since this morning.
For that problem, you have to check updates for your browser and for your operating system and restart your computer after any update.
I also provided you with a link to try more suggestions in case the updates were not the problem.
Also I gave you the link to log in the game as your saved link could be corrupted.

Then you posted that you were getting Content not available which makes me think you were able to log into the game. That has nothing to do with loading the game.
That is something from Facebook not the game and facebook shows up it when you try to post a link or to share a link to any facebook group.
If that is your problem now, then you have to check it with facebook as the game has nothing to do with it.

Also, remember that if you are trying to share a link or post then it has to be set to public.

I am on Chat Server 20, and although I don't have a problem with being online, the lag in the game is horrible! Taking forever to change farms, seed list coming up when going to plant, even ships loading up in the manager. This problem started getting worse every day this week. I have done a deep clean of the browsers - cleaned meme cache - made sure all browsers were up to date. I use 6 different browsers and the problem exists across all of them. I never have items turned on unless I need them. I even had a brand new hard drive installed because I assumed it was my computer. Have checked my Internet speed and it is fine. Have you restarted your router/modem for a few minutes?

If nothing works for you then as you know there are many links between you and the Farm Town servers. Anyone of those links could be having traffic problems that is slowing down your data transfer. Unfortunately we have no control over those links.

The only thing I can tell you is to try restarting the game and see if it will continue to load. If it doesn't try the suggestions in the first post on the first page of this thread.
Restarting your computer wouldn't hurt either to clear out your memory.

If it was the servers not sending the data then we would have many who were not being able to load the game and that was not the case at that time.
We don't have any way of remotely checking either your computer or the internet links between you and the servers, so the only thing we can do is offer suggestions.

Are you still having problems?

If so, please check that your browser and operation system are up to date.

After that, close everything and reset your router/modem for a minute.

Then restart your computer, load the game and check if you get the problem again.

If you still have the problem, then check if you have too many facilities on your farms.
You can do this by clicking in Show names in the grid and then click in Show Facility Info button at the botton of the window.

Every farm with facilities placed on it, will show a blue line, check that line is not fully completed. If it is, it means that facility capacity is 100% and you cant add more facilities to that farm.
You could move some facilities to farms with less capacity %

I also hid everthing in your preferences (trees, factories, ponds, flowers etc) to make it easier for you to load the game.

There should be a way in the settings for Chrome. I don't use it and the two that do are not on right now or I would tell you how to set that.


Edit: From Tiger there used to be a way to set that but there isn't now. When you close the browser and reopen it it should automatically update for you, but if you leave the browser open and one happens during that time you would have to check for it then it offers to update it

Thank you for your ID. Your farm loaded very fast for me. Along with clearing browser cache make sure that you have also checked for any computer updates.

Your data is showing us that you have quite a few animals in your gift box. Please open your gift box and make sure that you are looking in the My Gifts section. Animals are not listed separately like ingredients are. You will need to read the information in the box for each animal to know how many there are in the gift box. Once you have stored those try accepting new gifts.

Please also try clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.slashkey.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. Then reload the game and see if you are still having slowdowns.

Chrome has been having issues very recently, so if you are using that it may be worth trying another browser and see if that performs better for you while this is happening. If it's not that, when working other farmers farms, slowdowns can be caused by the much bigger farms with a considerable amount on them. You have a lot of things set to show in preferences which means you are trying to load quite a bit. When working for others you don't need to show things like decorations and buildings for example.

There were recent updates for all the browsers as well as Windows. Please make sure you have updated both. If you do have to update either be sure to restart your computer for those to take effect.

The error shows a connection issue at that moment, but if the game then loaded fine, nothing to worry about.

If you get it again, try to click in Play button again and see if the game loads faster and without errors.

Does this happen all the time or is it intermitent?
Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

I have just tried this and had no problem setting purchases while in the market. Sorry but I cannot duplicate this.

Make sure your browser and operating system are updated. If you have to do any updates be sure to restart your computer.

Farmtown is not saving as it should. Hire and accepting work, the Loading Farm shows, but you don't get transferred to said farm. If by chance it does go through, it's not saving your progress and freezes up.

If the farms you were hired for are heavily worked, maybe with overlaped ponds wall to wall, trees, flowers, etc. then this kind of problems could happen.

If that is the problem and you were hired for several jobs, then try to load the farms with everything hidden in your preference, the wrench, and then only show items for one job.

For example, if you were hired to fish and harvest/plow, then when the farm loads, click in your preferences and put a check mark to show Ponds option and click in the green check mark to save changes.
When fishing is done, click in your preferences, uncheck Show ponds and put a check mark to Show crops and click in the green check mark.

Also, be sure your browser and operation system are up to date. After any update it is always better to restart your computer.

Please be sure all your browsers and your operating system are updated. If you have to update any of those then be sure to restart your computer.
Please try all the suggestions in the first post on the first page of this thread.


What anti-virus program are you using on your computer? Some of those can block downloading correctly. You could try disabling your anti-virus temporarily just to see if you can download the game without errors.

They have many of their farms covered in ponds, then flowers, trees and multiple layers of crops. I'm pretty well convinced this has to do with excessive layering. My browser and Windows are both up to date. I've also cleared my memcache numerous times to no avail. There is no way that downloaded data from the servers can cause that windows error. I would check the Microsoft site and look for that error.



Even if it shows the farm has been worked if it didn't complete the loading then it hasn't been worked. Try going into it again after you bring the computer back up and see if it will work the second time.

Since you posted this about the time I was having sudden connection errors I thought we might be experiencing the same problem. I just deleted the error code I had posted in response to the problem I was having. Have you tried unplugging your modem and router and then plugging them back in? My ISP device said my connection was excellent, but it lied. My smart speakers kept saying "sorry I am having a problem" and other web pages that having nothing to do with Farm Town were taking minutes to load instead of seconds so unplugging my 5G and plugging it back in and then walking away until the globe disappeared from my Windows task bar and was replaced by the wired connection fixed the issues. :cool:

First thing to say is that I have hidden everything in your preferences, the wrench, to make it easier for you both to load the game. Once you load it, then click in your preferences and put a check mark back to the options saying Show..... if you wish.

Please follow all the suggestions given in the first post, first page (https://www.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=352666) of this thread and also you have more things to try in this link:

If nothing works for you both, you could contact your internet provider in case there is a problem in your zone.
Please take in mind that most internet providers have a few paths (links) from them to the different apps. If the one that links to the FT servers is down or have heavy traffic at that moment, then you can't get to your farms but other things will work perfectly to you as they used other paths.

Please be sure that your browser and operation system are up to date. If any update is done, then it is always better to restart your computer.

As far as I can see it is a connection error, you can reset your router/modem and see if that helps you.

well my game loads and plays fine till this happens and when this happens i have to reload my computer to clear it then it works fine again.

Just to let you know that it can also be an internet issue on your zone. There are a few paths between your internet provider and the apps. If the one that links to the FT servers is down or have heavy traffic then it is possible that your game is slow or you have problems loading it. Saddly if that is the case, there is nothing we can do. Maybe you could contact your internet provider to check if your internet is having problems.

Please make sure your browser and computer are both updated. If you have to do any updates then please restart your computer for those to take affect.


If that doesn't help please try all the suggestions in the first post on the first page of this thread.


Your local internet may be fine, but that is only 1 link in a chain of many links to get to the game. Any one of those links having problems or being down can cause your game to be slow loading or not load at all. Unfortunately those links are not in our control nor can we check those as they are all different for every player. If none of the other suggested fixes in the first post work then it is probably an internet link and you will just have to wait for it to get fixed.

Well if you are using the computer that had always got you problems, then you know it will work slow and probably show you errors.

I do have another PC but I prefer to wait until closer to the end of life for Windows 10 to upgrade/start using daily the newer PC. Either that or get rid of BOTH machines and start fresh. As for running better after updates, I'll have to see as it takes it a day or two to "recover" from the updates.

Windows 10 will reach end of support on October 14, 2025. The current version, 22H2, will be the final version of Windows 10, and all editions will remain in support with monthly security update releases through that date.

The game uses Unity WebGL version 2.0 which is part of your browsers. It may be that some browsers don't work werll, but there are options that do work ok.

When the game was still on facebook, there were times when I received error-messages when loading the game. Clearing the cache usually helped.

The last months, the game was very stable with no error messages when I worked others facilities. But since the last upgrade, in more than 90% of my attempts to work the wall request the game does not load. Sometimes the screen just stays black with the the software logo, in half of the cases an error messages shows up. Clearing cache does not help, the problem occurs in all browsers I use. Software is updated.
Any ideas?

If it is not the error message from the picture I added in my last post, the error message says:

If I reload the page, it usually works. Sometimes I have to reload a page several times. It does not matter how many requests I try to work at the same time. The rest is about 50% the error message in the popup-window (see photo attached) or the message underneath the game frame I wrote above.

Just to explain again how it worked before the last update of the game: Until last week, I was able to work up to 30 requests at the same time in different tabs. In all tabs, the game loaded without problems. So I could click just through the tabs to start.

If you were moving things around on one farm then you are idle. It is hard to explain but that is the way the game looks at it. Even harvesting, plowing or planting on a single farm this can happen.

Please try all of the suggestions in the first post on the first page of this thread and all of them in the following link:

If those don't help then it is possibly an internet link problem somewhere between you and the game servers. There are many links your data goes through between you and the servers and any one of those can be having a problem that will cause your farm data to not get sent or sent too slow or not at all. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this until whoever owns that link can get it fixed. We have no way to monitor or get those links fixed.

I am not talking about individuals. It is the internet provider companies that have the links you go through. There isn't anyone we can call as we don't know who has the problem. Every one who connects to play the game goes through different paths to get to the servers. We do not know where your path runs, so no way for us to even determine where the problem is.

If nothing works for you, then it could be an internet issue. Usually most internet providers have a few paths from them to outside world. If the one that links to the FT servers is down or have heavy traffic then they can't get to their farms but other things will work for you.

As Marymarcel said, make sure your browser is up to date. Also make sure Opera has not added a block for the website. Since you are able to load it in Google then it has to be something with your Opera that is causing it to not load.

It is likely a connection problem somewhere between you and the servers.

I moved your post to the Help & Support thread about game loading problems.
The main issue I think is your old chromebook. Those do not have a lot of memory in them and it does take a lot to play Farm Town.
Please make sure your operating system and browser are updated. If you have to update either please make sure you restart your computer.

Last it may be an internet problem somewhere between you and the game servers that is causing data to be lost. Between you and the servers are many links that the data for the game has to travel through to get to and from the server. Any one of those links having a problem can cause slowed down or lost data transfer.

I did run the memchache, cleared all time browser in history, checked for security issues, and reset my router again.
(I had done all of these things before but not all together)

Then I just gave up for the night and came back this morning to find all of it working great again. So maybe my internet company did something over night too.

It is not the game. As I said Chromebooks do not have a lot of memory and the game minimums are higher than they were when on Facebook.

Did you check to see if there were any updates for Chrome or the operating system? Those not being done can affect it as well.
You may not have any problems with your local internet connection, but that is only one of many links you have to go through to get to the servers. Those other links belong to other intrernet providers and we have no way of checking those or controlling them. Any one of those links having problems can cause problems with you game loading. In those cases the only thing you can do is to wait for them to fix it.

First thing is to make sure your browser and computer operating system are updated. If you do have to do any updates then be sure to restart your computer after doing those.

Also this could be an internet connection problem. That does not mean your connection to your service provider. Your data has to travel from yoour computer through many internet links to get to the Farm Town servers and back to your computer. Any one of those links having problems can cause your data to not get through and cause a connection error. Unfortunately we have no way to check those links nor any way to control them. The only thing you can do is keep trying and hopefully the problem will be fixed by whoever owns the link causing your problem.

Your internet speed can be 1gbps and it won't change your speed in your computer. It depends on how fast your computer can receive the data and even the fastest home computers can only receive up to 100 kbps. Most computers use a 10kbps connection.
Upping you internet speed is only going to help if you have a lot of devices connected to your internet that are using bandwidth. So with a higher speed then more things can receive data at a normal rate and not get slowed down waiting.
The higher internet speed is not going to make up for the lack of memory or processor speed of an older computer.

First thing is to make sure your browser and computer operating system are updated. If you do have to do any updates then be sure to restart your computer after doing those.

Also this could be an internet connection problem. That does not mean your connection to your service provider. Your data has to travel from yoour computer through many internet links to get to the Farm Town servers and back to your computer. Any one of those links having problems can cause your data to not get through and cause a connection error. Unfortunately we have no way to check those links nor any way to control them. The only thing you can do is keep trying and hopefully the problem will be fixed by whoever owns the link causing your problem.

You do not use the same path to get to everything on the internet from your computer. Once your requests for websites get to your service provider then they take different routes to get to other locations. So anything else you are opening would not get the slow down. It only takes one of those many links having a problem to cause slow data transfer or not be able at all to send or receive the data.

If it was a server problem then we would have many complaints and yours is the only one. The server you are questioning is not a server you would even be using to play your game.

If you are using a saved link in your computer to load the game, do not use it. Instead use this:

If the game loads, then the saved link is corrupted.

I just got in. I was able to log in to my other account. After that I was able to log in to my original account. Not sure what that was all about.

We cant say for sure what happened as we cant see which errors were showing up in your console.

You reported this 2 days ago and I answered you in the post directly above yours. Please read it and try all the suggestions in the link there as well as make sure your computer and browser are up to date. If you have to do any updates then be sure you re start your computer.


If it is not one of those then it has to be an internet problem. You link to the farm town servers is a direct connection, but goes through many links before getting to the servers. Any one of those links having problems of heavy traffic can cause extreme slowdowns in loading the game. Those links are different for everyone so we have no way to check those or get any problems with them fixed. If this is the case the only thing you can do is wait for them to fix their problem.

Your autologin is not a feature of the game. That is done by your browser saving your username and password. There is nothing we can do to help you recover that. You will need to look in your browser's settings for it.

The picture showing up in your previous post is showing that Chrome browser is not updated, that is why I asked you to check that in case you use that browser. If nothing has changed in your computer, that means you didnt do any update?

If you want to change your email address for the forum please follow these steps:

Logged into the forum, click in User CP on the left top side of the forum.

You will see a menu on the left.

Click in Edit Email & Password option and a new window will open.

You do not need to change your password.

At the botton of that page you will see the option to change your email address for one you have in use and you can log in.

Then click in Save changes button.

By the way, that will change your email address for the forum but not your username for the forum.

If after changing your email address, you want to change your username, then send me or any of the other moderators, a private message with the username you want to use.

Are you sure you are in build 433? All of us are in build 679.

Chrome JUST released an update. Since that update, I CANNOT reliably login. I keep getting this odd message. It is different than it was. It looks like it isn't recognizing the browser?

After about 30 minutes, it gives me some errors.

I have cleared the cache, etc., for all time. I have checked the site settings and they are set correctly to allow 3rd party cookies and popups. I am at a loss. If only Chrome didn't FORCE these updates on us.
