I am still having the problem described below. I did what you suggested cleared cache, checked for updates and reloaded, but still have same problem. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Please try clearing the browser cache, then close your browser and then reload your farms.


You might also check if there are any updates for your Chrome as they may not have automatically updated.

Something happened during the day 1-27-2021 and now these 2 farms will not come up. Cleared the cache but no change. I noticed some errors posted in the log so am copying them here.

I can harvest and plow everything, however the game freezes when planting on a neighbours farm as a super neighbour. I have to reload the game for each square I plant

Try clearing your memcache, link below, a new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm if it is open in another tab. Then reload your farms.

If that doesnt help, then try clearing your browser cache. First time you load the game, it will load slower, it could last 5 minutes, as all graphics have to be loaded again.

I'm not sure which cache you cleared, but just in case, clear your browser cache and restart your computer.

Take in mind that the first time you load the game after the clearing, it will load slower, it could take 5 minutes, as all graphics have to be loaded again.

Stuck on black screen. Everything is fine when I work my own farm, bet when I work my neighbors, that is where the trouble begins. I have been able to do trees and flowers without a problem. I haven't had the opportunity to harvest/plow/plant. The problem is the fishing, he has many farms with layered waters, I am able to get through some of them, but then my computer freezes up. I did clear cache and ran another program on my computer to clean my mac last night. I waited until today to try again. I had no problems with the trees again today, it was when I got to the waters. It is slow to load, i was able to fish on about 25 farms and then it froze up. I waited for activity and the screen went to black screen and a message popped up and said an embedded page at l1.slashkey.com says... Unfortunately layered farms specially full with waters seem to cause slowdowns and problems right now.

Please clear your browser cache, close the browser and then reload your farms.

I would suggest that you turn off any thing you don't need for the work before you go to their farms, harvest the trees and flowers, then close the farms.
Before you go to their farms you might try checking the box in preferences for Compressed Graphics as that will use less memory when you are working.

Please click in your preferences, the wrench, and see if you have a check mark for "Show coins and XP Animations" or/and "Show Feedback while Farming" options.

If you have any of those or both of them checked, please remove the check marks and then click in the green check mark to save changes.
We are aware that if you have those options checked and you use the regular tools or any of the Seeders, regular or EX, you get lot of messages on the farm, like 1xp, and the game freezes.
This doesnt happen if you use the Combines EX.

I'm sorry but right now we are all concentrating on getting the main game working for computers, mobile devices are currently not supported, but some may work. It is better to wait and see how the game improves and what developers can offer.

Make sure the browsers you are trying are updated, so they can support WebGL. If the ones you are trying are not able to open it try some different ones.

Also we had reports from other Mac users saying that Safari was not working for them but they downloaded Opera browser and it worked.

Both my account and my super neighbor have no problems working each other's farms now. Max Tweens error doesn't show in the FT Console log. Thank you!

Although I have not had any loading problems myself and I even managed to load the HTML5 build that Raul sent a link for back in December, many of my friends who refuse to even post to this forum - silly people - are unable to load it. One of them said that she was able to load both her own farms and her husband's farms on her work computer but only her husband's farms on her own computer. Her technician said that she should not try to run something as advanced as WebGL on her computer as she could damage it. Any thoughts on this? It sounds to me like she is using an OS that may not be supported by Microsoft anymore and possibly out of date browsers, but the bit about the tech guy saying she shouldn't be using something "so advanced" and it would damage her computer threw me for a loop!

Please check your storage amount for a crop before harvesting. Then check again after harvestin it. And then reload the game and check your storage again.

That information is there from the time you load your farms. Any additions to the list when you go to her farms would be at the bottom of the list.


Are her farms layered? What are you doing on the farms when it stops? Are you able to do any work before it freezes?


Try turning off anything you don't need to show in your preferences before you go to her farms. Also make sure the Show Feedback when Farming and the Show Coins and XP Animations are unchecked. You can also try checking the Compressed Graphiics option in that too.

Farm 1 does not work at all. I checked the inventory before and after the attempts to ensure that it was not merely that the feed back was not working for Farm 1. The inventory for each item was unchanged.

Since we do not yet have the ability to look at the animals inside their barns/sty/etc, I cannot confirm that there are any animals there any more. There were 250 of each there as of December 31. so.....

Either the animals were lost in the WebGL transition

or

For whatever reason, Farm 1 is non-funtioning for animals at this time.

We are aware of the animal sheds on farm 1, but they are harvested and the products are added to storage.

The only thing is you are not getting the message showing you how many products were sent to storage as you get in the other farms.

If you refresh the farm, you will see that the sheds on farm 1 shows up the time you have to wait to harvest them again.

About the products sent to your storage: take not of the amount in your storage before harvesting sheds on farm 1.
Then after harvesting them, reload the game and check your storage again and you will see they all were added.

hi all fellow farmtowners !!!! in all the years playing never been in here for troubles ....first off wanted to thank all the devs involved in working so hard to get our game up and running again...soon ..i add soon as ive been waiting it out with no complaints but do check in a few times a day to see what was and was not working yet in my game....for a few weeks i have been able to get on the game to work my own farms and as soon as id plant it would not let me back on got the web gl message crops would rot as soon as rotted i was able to get on re plant and same thing so i stopped planting i would just log in game to see if i could work my sn i could get to their farms but had no tools ...as of yesterday i was able to get to sn had tools then started to fish after a few clicks whole computer screen went black like it was crashing after about a minute it went back to the loading but got the web gl error message i use chrome search engine ...today same thing happened was able to start fishing then after a few farms screen went black and cant use chrome to get back on facebook ...switched to microsoft edge as this is a new computer worked a few farms then same thing screen went black ..ive never posted in here so i hpe im in he right spot to leave this message looking at the dates are many years old so i hope some one sees this im not sure of my game id but on top it says a number 115652364 on bottom of game said web gl supported but disabled -------error ...again thanks for all the hard word getting the game to switch and ill be waiting till mine does as well....

When you get the WebGL not supported, try clearing your browser cache, close your browser and then reload your farms. That should get you back into it.
If you are working layered farms then that may be the problem. Right now all the layering has not been added as they are working on the other functions. So that may be cauing your game to error out. How much of the layering will be possible will have to be seen after they get all the functions back in the game and can spend time looking at that.
The only thing I can offer is make sure you uncheck all the show items not needed for your current work. Also make sure Show Coins and XP Annimation and the Show Feeback when Farming are unchecked as well. You can also try checking the Compressed Graphics, then reload your farms and see if that helps.

There isn't any "conversion" for you to do. All you need to do is open your farms through Facebook and they will open in the HTML/WebGL version.
If you are trying to use a bookmark from the Flash days, don't as that doesn't take you to the right place.
Either log into Facebook and click on the Farm Town link in the left column or click on the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forums.

Only thing I can suggest is a lot of Mac users have been able to get in using Opera. You might want to try that one.

Hi Keef....

I get this repeatedly from Facebook. These people haven't got a clue when it comes to playing a game. I think the original purpose of their process (started with a check to see if you are a bot and having you click on several instances of an item in photo clips, such a crosswalks or stoplights....and eventually goes to being temporarily blocked if you persist) is to a) stop bots (potentially malicious ones) from continuing and b) stop real users from spamming potentially hundreds of people because of sending the same message over and over again. These messages can be to your wall (for instance, if you level up 15-20 level in rapid succession AND post each levelling message on your wall for friends to see.....or.....if you are sending a lot (about 50) of identical messages to FB friends, for instance asking if they still playing Farmtown, in rapid succession.

Now that you have been blocked, I think it will be 48-72 hours before you are fully reinstated. You can send a message and tell them what you were doing (if you know/remember), and ask them to reinstate you now. It just depends on who gets your request. Some are hardliners who will go by the book and leave you blocked for the full length of time. Some will immediately reinstate you.

What gets me about this is that they don't get it OR they don't care that it is a normal part of a game. The rule is one size fits all. Whether you are malicious or not, posting game messages or not, everyone is lumped into the same punitive result.

Hi, thanks so much for getting super neighbour back. I can harvest and plough just fine, but when I go to sow it sows for about 3 chunks, then I get a whole block of floating 1xp and then the whole thing freezes up. I then reloaded ,went back to my super neighbour's farm, planted a bit more and it froze again etc. etc. No biggie, just thought you'd like to know. Oh yes, my super neighbour has layered crops, thought it might be that that's the problem. Stay safe everyone.

I am using Chrome and when the message first came up that my browser did not support WebGL I went to google. The recommendation I found was:

I forgot a step that I took--there was a direction to check the graphics feature status to make sure that hardware was accelerated after going to the "flags". (chrome://gpu) This is what I found. Not being a programmer most of the information doesn't make much sense to me but it appears that WebGL was started correctly.

hi got the black screen again cube is moving java been updated, and flash removed from pc as well as extensions, also restarted pc. Can't get to run at all just black screen in Chrome, I can get it on Foxfire somewhat ,but would prefer Chrome . 1109006456 checkpoint is 201-01-31 10:54:21 B-000.

After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If your game doesnt load, then you have to provide the information under PERSISTENT LOADING ISSUES.
Please notice that for point 3, developers are asking for the last Checkpoint information.

If you dont see the information below your game screen, then click in Toggle FT console and scroll down the page using the bar on the right till you find the last Checkpoint information.

If you can't open the FT Console watch the "U" number in the upper right corner of your farms for the last number shown.

When I had that problem the first thing I did was to check if my browser was updated, in my case it hadnt updated automatically.

Then I also cleared my browser cache and I havent got any problems since that day.

When rearranging to fix little spots that went wonky because of html.....I pick something up to move it and there are a large amount of the same thing I can keep picking up. I just removed 5 wooden paths from the same section.......and it shows there is nothing there!!!

Please try clearing your memcache, link below. A new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm if it is open in another tab. Then reopen your farms

The link you posted if for memcache. The memcache clears your data on the server and forces it to be reloaded, so you get a clean load and it is working.

But you have to clear your browser cache.

First let me say Facebook is discontinuing Gameroom in a short while. For this reason the developers will not have done anything to work with Gameroom and probably will not in the future.
You need to log into Facebook and then go to your farms from the shortcut in the left column of your home page. As you have been able to get into your farms through Gameroom you should not have any problems getting in that way. Going in that way and see if all 24 farms of yours show up.

Just to add some information to this with facilities not working in the Unity version then Neighborhood Chains Contest, Super Facility, Facility Chains, and both quests will not work in it until facilities and those functions are added back in.

The market is currently unavailable, however, you are able to sell items/harvests by going to your storage and click on the blue button on any product 'Sell At Market' While this does not take you to the market, it does open the selling window allowing you to sell those things if you need to.

What is the last Checkpoint you see in the FT console?

What browser and operating system are you using?


If the console is not open you can click on FT Console button to open it. This is information the developers need. If it still will not open watch the "U-" number on the right side of your farms and let us know what the last number you see is.

A couple of time leaving my SN's farm, I get back to my farm and black screen and message pops up browser doesn't support WebGL and I can't get back into my farms. I've checked and it does support WebGL, and I can fix by cleaning and restarting my computer. Just thought you should know of this glitch.

About your problem loading the game;

If you are a Mac user, then please check if you have to update your mac. If you dont know how to do that, please contact Apple help center.
Also, we have reports that Safari browser is not working for mac users, but Opera browser is working correctly for some of them. You could try Opera and see how it goes for you.

Do you have someone who can help you with this locally? A family member or friend?
How are you getting to your farms? What are you clicking on to open them?


Operating system is what kind of computer do you have. Is it Windows or an Apple Mac?
Browser is what you open to go to Facebook or the forums. What is the name on it?


You mentioned spam filter. What program is showing you a message that says you can't open your farms?

I moved your post to the HTML thread. Unfortunately none of the moderators or developement team are using Mac computers. If what you are trying to work on are layered farms then I can say that the developers have not done any workon the layering and that may be while you are having problems with those. The layering won't be looked at I am sure until they get all the normal functions added back into the game. When the y will get this done only the developers know as they do not tell us in advance of what they are releasing when.
They have added new information in the first post of this thread that may or may not be of assistance for you.

Please check the information in the first post of this thread.



Please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.

Also make sure your browser is updated as sometimes they do not automatically update.

After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

You have to try all suggestions under FIRST LOAD OF FARM TOWN.
After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If your game doesnt load, then you have to provide the information under PERSISTENT LOADING ISSUES.
Please notice that for point 3, developers are asking for the last Checkpoint information.

If you dont see the information below your game screen, then click in Toggle FT console and scroll down the page using the bar on the right till you find the last Checkpoint information.

I moved your post to the HTML5/WebGL thread as you are having issued loading the game.

Please try clearing your browser cache. First time you load the game after the clearing then it will load slower, it could last 5 minutes, as all graphics have to be loaded again.
Then close and restart and check if that helped you.

It appears to be those with older versions of iOS that are having difficulties so please do any updates to your computer that are showing needing done and make sure you have updated to the highest version of iOS that it will allow. Those with the latest versions, for example iOS 14 do not seem to be having any issues. If you have a older version of iOS please try Opera and see if that will work for you.

I moved your post to the HTML issues thread. If you are getting this in multiple games then it may not be HTML WebGL, but an issue with your Chrome or computer using those. As far as I remember we have not had any reports of freezing when closing full screen. Other times but not that.
There are some new things to try in the first post of this thread that the developers have added which is why I moved your post here and not the Game Migration Updates thread.

I have noticed some issues with selecting items (particularly water items - lakes and coasts) with the orange hand and with my 4x turbo boat. Sometimes when I hover over an item it brings up the tool tip but doesn't put the yellow outline around the item. If I then click with the hand it leaves the item in place and gives me a copy which I can place. If I reload the farm the copy is gone and the original is still there. If I see the yellow outline it moves normally. When harvesting with the boat it sometimes reaches a group of water items that do not highlight and won't harvest. Dragging the screen seems to let it select the items. When harvesting a set of overlapped sea coasts with the boat I seem to be able to do 2 or 4 groups of items (i.e. 8 or 16 coasts) before having to move the farm to let me do the next 2 or 4 groups. Low priority bug but a bit annoying.

Check also that you have a reasonable amount of free space on your disk so Windows has room to dump stuff it is not using out of memory temporarily. Deleting unused files and clearing temporary storage can make a significant difference. Most Laptops won't be able to have extra memory added to them but some can.

I'm sorry but right now we are all concentrating on getting the main game working for computers, mobile devices are currently not supported, but some may work. It is better to wait and see how the game improves and what developers can offer.

Make sure the browsers you are trying on your phone are updated, so they can support WebGL. If the ones you are trying are not able to open it try some different ones.

I have copied your post to the closed thread for the developers to look at. If it is an HTML issue then it is only an issue on your laptop. We have had no other reports of this. Comparing to how it worked for you in Flash versus WebGL is not a good comparison as the 2 are totally different.
Really the only way a computer will freeze is a memory problem and not just the amount of memory the game is using. Did you try having only the game open, making sure no other programs are running? Try running the game in Compressed Graphics (in the Preferences) and see if it still does with that.

Check the items in the first post about memory.

What are you doing when this happens?
Which cache are you clearing? For this problem you have to clear the browser cache, not the memcache.
Next time it happens try the tests then and see if WebGL is still enabled.

I just did it and it shows enabled WebGL: Hardware accelerated
WebGL2: Hardware accelerated Any other suggestions? The past two times after I referred this problem and was told it would be referred to someone, it was some how corrected in a few hours and would work for a few days and then I would get it again. All we did before and now is add your post to a thread for the developers to look at and see what they can find for you to fix this. That is the only "referral" we have. If it corrected then it was all on it's own as no one has done anything directly to your account to fix it.


Are you currently having this right now just before you did the tests?


Again, what were you doing when this happened to you?


Have you tried clearing the browser cache after this has happened? If you need instructions on how to do that they are in the following link:

How much memory do you have in this computer?

Yes Windows 10 is up to date Memory 8 mbs I am just trying to load Farm Town when I get this message I have not actually gotten in or onto Farm Town itself at that time just trying to get it to loaded

8GB is about the minimum for Windows 10 for memory. DId you check the first item in the top post about the video card and the drivers for it? That can be another area of problems.


Then what did you do last on your farms when you had it open as that would be what triggers the error?

Won’t load, stops at black screen. 4 days ago it worked on Chrome. I could fish, harvest, chop, collect animal sheds. 3 days ago Chrome no longer worked, but Firefox did and I could do all those things. 2 days ago, Chrome still wouldn’t work, Firefox no longer worked. This evening I followed instructions from the link at the top of the game for not loading. I went down the list one by one, and all are ok. Still, neither Chrome nor Firefox works. It freezes at the black screen. This is the stuff from the bottom (on Chrome):
