How long do we have to put up with this. Some of us have been on this site with no problems for many years. It's really frustrating not being able to get on my farm. There is nothing wrong with my laptop, browser or memory.

I have loaded many of your farms very fast, I have no reason to think there is anything wrong with the server your game is on.

If you do not want to supply the information requested, if you wish you can contact the support team and work with them instead. In case you need help to contact the support team, I'm listing the instructions:

2 days in a row i am getting messages saying WebGL supported but disabled. this has been happening when i am fishing for other farmers in the market. it will usually let me sign back in and go back to that farm after i restart my computer 1 time. some times i will be able to work 4 or 5 farms before it quits and at times it has quit twice in the same farm. when it throws me out it naturally looks like i quit and they are reluctant to rehire me. I moved your post to the subject thread about loading problems.
This happens when the game encounters an error working the farms. Usually they are heavily layered farms. Currently all you can do is just what you have been doing. Or you can try just closing and reopening the browser and see if that will clear it rather than having to completely restart your computer.

I dont know which recommendations have you tried so I will probably ask you to check something you have already done.

Please be sure your browser is updated, also check if you have any pending update for windows or Mac if you use it.

If you have another browser, please try it and see if you have the same problems. Remember that browser has to be updated.

You can also try to reset your router/modem for a minute.

When you post a large picture like that as an attachment the text in the picture is too small to read when we look at it.

What were you doing in the game prior to working facs in your browser?
Were you working heavy farms prior to getting this?

What have you already tried to resolve this?

Please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac in case you use it, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.


After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

You have to try all suggestions under FIRST LOAD OF FARM TOWN.
After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If your game doesnt load, then you have to provide the information under PERSISTENT LOADING ISSUES.
Please notice that for point 3, developers are asking for the last Checkpoint information.

If you dont see the information below your game screen, then click in Toggle FT console and scroll down the page using the bar on the right till you find the last Checkpoint information.

If you can't open the FT Console watch the "U" number in the upper right corner of your farms for the last number shown.

Also if you go to the first post, first page (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) of this thread, there are steps to check your computer.

I visited your farms and loaded many of them with everything showing in my preferences and had no problems at all.

Do you usually clear your browser cache at the end of the day or have your browser set to do that automatically? If so, then when you try to load the game again, it will load slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.

Also, in our previous responses to you, we asked you to check the first post, first page (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) of this thread for the requirements for your computer. Maybe you can get help from a family member or friend to check all the points in that page.

Hi Blacksheep,
There could be any number of reasons why this can happen. It could be that their farms are heavily loaded with layered items. We can't control how much they place on their farms. The only thing I can suggest for this is to turn off any thing in your ptreferences that you do not need for the work you are hired for.
It could have to do with your computer. There are the minimum requirements in the first post of this thread you can check. Also you should make sure your operating system is updated as well as your browser.

Are you unable to load the game at all or is this only happening when you go to specific farms?

If it's specific farms are they your farms or someone elses?
Did the error show up as soon as you tried to load that farm or after you tried to do something on that farm?
If they are your farms which farms are showing this error?
When you can't load the farm what are you seeing on the game screen?

Hi RichieRoo,

What problems are you having with loading the game? Have you done all your updates on your computer, then made sure that the browser you are using is also up to date and tried the items listed in the first post on page one? if you have not please do those then see if things improve for you.

There is an example of the computer specifications in that post so you can compare that to what your computer has to see if you should be experiencing optimal game play.

Animated items are still being worked on, some are static versions, some that are not showing will be added back to the game when they are completed and tested. If you are not familiar with what should and should not be possible to do in the game at this time, please click on the following link and read the information in the 1st post on page 1. What happens when you try to load the game?


Please check if you have any update for Windows or for Mac in case you use it. If there was any update available then remember to close and restart your computer after updating.

As you are on a different computer then please try the instructions given in the following announcement >

After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

Hi mistybutterfly,
The developers are aware of those error messages and will release a fix for them soon we hope. They have to do with the neighbor bar pictures and does not effect the playing or the game.

Is the game slow loading or slow when trying to play? If it is slow loading are you clearing the browser cache either automatically or manually when you close your game? That is not recommended as the game then has to download all the graphics again which slows the loading.

So I will ask you to do the usual things in this case.

Please check if there is any update for Windows, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.


After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

Hi Hilarious,
When you clear the browser then it has to reload all the graphics for the game. It can take a few minutes to do this, so you need to leave it up and let it run for a while before it start loading the information in the console.

I redid my password etc yesterday to get here. I am getting hung up on the green screen. U-75 shows but takes forever to load and sometimes I try play and it reloads home and have to try to get into chosen farm to work and it gets stuck again.

i read many posts here ,and a while ago i wrote i have crash problems because web gl needs to much video mem and this cant be set, my new comp, with octacore (8x4,1 GHZ) 16 gb ram and a nvidia gtx gamecard also crashes gray screen if i open more than 4 windowds (same on all comp) before i had the marketplace problem with the new platform its solved i can see avatars on both markets ,great ! you write some users u visit thair farms and all ok but dont forget u do the same during my market place problem but! you visited my farm from the us and an us fb server and im in austria so you never can reproduce an error if ure not on the same fb server like the one who have problems mine are gone thank god ,but whats happen with the animals?? i think ships and trading is more awaiting from all users ,many of my longtime ft friends quit playing ,very sad because they had to many issues with the new platform i think i speak for all if we get slowly a roll out plan for funktions and a planed time for the big finish of the game soon we have june and a half game we wont an exactly date but comming soon is to less info ex animals in june ships end of june and so on that would be great..............,a new super truck would be great and can the devs add all rare products we pay for from mills ,mine and truck into ships and trains like leather,yeast,lye.........also for future use
we all are very thankfull for your hard job you do believe me
but we are also allways and daily looking at the header for more info and whats next
i hope you have soon good news for us and new functions and facilities

There isn't any way for the developers to give you dates for when each function is released because when they work on them then they have to test and make sure that function is working. If there are problems then that pushes the time back for release and everyone gets upset because it wasn't released when they said it would be.

Since you are using a Mac, please check if you have any update for it.

Are you clearing your browser cache everytime you close the computer? If so, then next time you try to load the game again, it will load slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.
If you are doing this or your browser does it automatically please change the settings as you only need to clear browser cache in case you get an error which not allow you to continue working.

Hi Tino,
The developers can not lower the video memory required for the game. You can try the Compressed Graphics in your preferences. That is the only change that can be done.
The developers are not working on anything for tablets at this time.

If you are talking about gift animals you are correct. there isn't any way to do that as yet. You can only put gif animals into a shed.

Are you using a Mac? If so please check if there is any update for it. You can also contact Apple to check if they can help you.

If you wish you can try another browser like Opera and see if it works better for you.

The ingredients requests and the bonuses are 2 separate things. They are not added together.

What is totaled together is what you get from your own bonus posts and what you collect from others bonus posts. So depending an how much you receive from your own bonus posts then the less you can get from others posts.

FT crashes for me at least three times a day. sometimes come grey windows and sometimes white. I have 8GB RAM but do not understand all the requirements you post about video. I am 73 and have no idea about such things. I do not have Windows 10 and when you click on the uTUbe link at the beginning it is far too small for me to see. Windows 10 was so awful that I had the previous system installed by a computer shop.

First of all you have to be sure your browser is updated and also check if there is any update for windows. Those updates are very important for this version of the game.

To check the requirements, specially for video cards, you could ask a family member or friend to help you with them.

If you can't open the FT Console watch the "U" number in the upper right corner of your farms for the last number shown.

I should have mentioned I do not use a Windows computer, I have a Chromebook. I have cleaned my cache. I have gone into chrome://flags and made sure WebGl is enabled and restarted. This did not fix the problem. Is there anyone on the developer's team that is familiar with the newer Chromebooks that can offer help.

Even if it is a Chromebook there are updates for the operating system and for Chrome itself. None of us have Chromebooks. The only thing I can offer is for you to contact your support for your Chromebook.

Are you still having problems? I've just visited your farms and someone is working them so I'm not sure if it's one of your super neighbours or if it's because you've been able to load the game and hire someone.

If you are still having problems:
What were you doing in the game the last time you were able to load it before the WebGL showed disabled?
Please copy the first 10 lines of information in the FT console below your game screen so we can see that information.

Which instructions and where have you tried? Was it the ones in the 1st post on page (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270)1 of this thread? You have posted in several areas so we are not sure which ones you've tried.

I have turned off everything in your game preferences that would show things like crops trees etc so there is less for you to load.
Please try reloading the game again.

If this problem happens and you notice it does it when there are a lot of animals on a farm try adding a check mark to the Freeze Animals option in your gam preferences and remember to click the green check mark to save the change which should help if the problem is due to loose animals showing on farms.

Please check if Chrome is updated, to do that:

1. Top right of your browser at the end of the address bar you will see 3 dots. Hover your mouse over them and it will say "Customise and control Google Chrome", then click on the 3 dots

2. Scroll down till you see "Help", hover your mouse on Help and on the left click in "About Google Chrome"

If it is updated, you will see that information or if not, then it will start the update for the browser.

Also, are you clearing your chrome browser history/cache everytime you close your computer for the day? If so, you dont need to do that. When you clear your browser cache, next time you load the game, it will load very slowly as all graphics have to be loaded again.

When you are trying to load the game, if you see it is taking more than 2 minutes, then click again in Play button. Wait for about 1/2 minutes and if it doesnt load, then click in Play button again.

As we have told you in other responses, if you have a family member or a friend who could check your computer, then the specifications for your computer are in the first post, first page (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) of this thread.

To clear the WebGL problem first try closing and reopening your browser. If that doesn't work then try clearing your browser cache, close your browser and reopen it.

The Farm Town servers are responding to testing at normal speed. You can try the test yourself. It is in the following post:

There could be any number of problems. Internet link or links having slowdown due to high traffic on their servers or a Facebook app server being slow.

You could try all the other items in the above post to see any of them help.

Please check for any software or driver updates on your computer, also check that the browser you are using is also still up to date. If any of those need doing please do those.

You can also try clearing your FT memcache. To run memcache Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", which is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you are still trying to load it in another browser window.

Then please reload and see if that has helped clear the problem for you. If it does not please also try clicking on this link. It will take you to your smallest farm, see if you can load that one:

The game freezes up on me continually. This time I was trying to write these notice and it froze up, requiring me to turn off my computer and re-boot. Obviously, I can't play the game like this. And my last cry for help netted me nothing.

I have a MAC. I'm using Chrome. Both are up-to-date as much as can be.

There is only one more update to the OS which my computer doesn't have room for.

What other information do you need to get me an answer to why the game constantly freezes up now that you are using this Web/GL? More importantly, can you get the game to work right for me?

The game freezes up on me continually. This time I was trying to write these notice and it froze up, requiring me to turn off my computer and re-boot. Obviously, I can't play the game like this. And my last cry for help netted me nothing.

I have a MAC. I'm using Chrome. Both are up-to-date as much as can be.
Google Chrome is up to date
Version 91.0.4472.101 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7
processor: 2.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
memory: 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
graphics: Intel Iris 1536 MB
There is only one more update to the OS which my computer doesn't have room for.

What other information do you need to get me an answer to why the game constantly freezes up now that you are using this Web/GL? More importantly, can you get the game to work right for me?

First thing is the forums are completely separate and a simple forum program. If you are freezing up even in here then there is something wrong wiith your Chrome. Those using Mac computers have better luck using Opera instead of Chrome.
If your computer can not get the last update to the OS because there isn't enough room then it sounds like you do not have enough room to play the game as well which would explain why it keeps freezing up on you.
There isn't anything we can do to help with this.

Please check again any update for Chrome. I just got a new version for Chrome: Version 91.0.4472.101 (Build oficial) (64 bits) and this is not the one showing up in the information in the console.

Also check if you have any pending update for Windows or Mac in case you use it.

First you did not need to download WebGL as it ise part of your browser.


Please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.

Also make sure your browser is updated as sometimes they do not automatically update.

After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If you dont see the information below your game screen, then click in Toggle FT console and scroll down the page using the bar on the right till you find the last Checkpoint information.

You might also try clearing your browser cache and see if it will load after doing that. Instructions for that are in the following link:

When you do that it will take a longer time to load as it has to download all the graphics for the game again.

That message can come up when you encounter an error.
Please try first just restarting your computer. If that doesn't fix it try clearing your browser cache, close the browser and then reopen your farms. The first time you reopen your farms after doing this it will be slow loading as it has to download all the graphics for the game. Instructions for clearing the cache are in the following link:

Please check your computer for any updates and do all that are showing. Check that your browser is still showing up to date, if it is not please update it then close and reopen the browser.

If you have already done what you were asked to try, please have you also
disabled any extensions added and enabled on your browser, there are extensions can cause problems with loading the game.

When you have done those, try loading the game and if you are still having problems please try to copy the 1st 10 lines of what is showing in the FT console.

The U number you have mentioned in your last post show will show in the top right of your game screen as it tries to load the game then it will disappear. If you are not seeing that at all please describe what you are seeing.

I checked your data and you were able to load your farms earlier.

Please check if your browser is updated. Also check if you have any pending update for Windows or Mac if you use it.

If all the previous things are ok, then clear your browser cache, but the farm will load very slowly after the clearing. If after 1/2 minutes waiting for it to load, nothing happens then click in the Play button again, and wait till it loads.

I checked your account data and you just collected 1 FC for co-op quests 30 minutes ago. Did you get any kind of error message when it got stuck?

You need to make sure that you have done all the updates showing on your computer. That your browser is up to date and that any extensions added to your browser, if you added any , are disabled.

You can compare what your computer has to the computer specifications in that post to see if you should be getting any problems. Try all the items listed in that post to see if they help.

It takes over 15 minutes to get the game to load. I timed it. Tried all the things you suggest and nothing seems to work. I use firefox because chrome doesn't even work anymore for playing this game with the new versions and updates. There have been a few times where it gets loaded in about 2 or 3 minutes but that is very rare. Once I get on, everything is ok but still is slow in going from farm to farm. I have new Big Sur OS on new Mac Pro and don't have any other issues with other things trying to load. What is the problem here? Plus the faces of my neighbors are still nothing but silhouettes.

It takes over 15 minutes to get the game to load. I timed it. Tried all the things you suggest and nothing seems to work. I use firefox because chrome doesn't even work anymore for playing this game with the new versions and updates. There have been a few times where it gets loaded in about 2 or 3 minutes but that is very rare. Once I get on, everything is ok but still is slow in going from farm to farm. I have new Big Sur OS on new Mac Pro and don't have any other issues with other things trying to load. What is the problem here? Plus the faces of my neighbors are still nothing but silhouettes.

We're not Mac users so please try to understand that we may be asking you to do something you have already done.



Have you added anything to your farms recently like loose animals that are not in sheds or added more of anything to your farms recently?


Is this happening no matter which farm you try to load or does it only happen on the farms that may be bigger or have more on them? If oyu're not sure make one of your farms that has less on it defualt and then close the game and try loading again and see if that loads quicker than your current defaulted farm.



As you like Chrome have you tried Opera? If not make sure that Opera is up to date and then close everything that may be running or downloading so that you are only using Opera to play the game and see how you get on with that before you open up anything else in your browser or do other things with your Mac.

If you have already tried that browser and are still having problems please try and get the following information for us to copy over to the devs thread so they can see what is happening on the kind of device you have:


Can you please click on the Apple icon and then click on About this Mac. In the window that shows please copy the information about Mac Pro you have, OS SUR version , the processor, the memory and graphics please.


For this one it depends if you know how to get to and see the memory information from your Activity Monitor to copy the information about how much memory your browser is using when you play Farm Town. If you do not know how to get to it and understand what it's showing you it's best if you go to Apple support as they will have instructions for you for it and how to close it when you are done looking in it.

Again you want to aim to only having the game open in one tab in your browser so you can see how much memory the browser is using with just the game open in it.

When you open the Activity Monitor and click on the Memory tab and look for the browser you are using on the left side of that list and you should see next to that in the Memory tab how much memory your browser is using in MB or GB.


Please also copy the 1st 10 lines of what you are seeing in the FT console beneath your game screen so that information is added to your post as well.

Don't worry if you can't get all the information requested, some information is better than none at all.

My farm won’t load. It gets to the black page, but the little progress box doesn’t fill in. On Chrome and Opera, it doesn’t fill in at all, on Firefox, it fills in a little, about 10%, but never goes any further, and the last time (I tried several times), I waited 15 minutes but it never went further. Sorry for the delay to respond to you. Are you still getting the same problem?

If so, please clear your browser cache and then restart your computer.

The first time you try to load the game after the clearing it will load slowly as all graphics have to be loaded again.
If you see that after 1/2 minutes it doesnt load, then click en Play button again and see if it loads for you.

I moved your post to the subject thread about loading problems.
Please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.

Also make sure your browser is updated as sometimes they do not automatically update.

After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

You have to try all suggestions under FIRST LOAD OF FARM TOWN.
After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If your game doesnt load, then you have to provide the information under PERSISTENT LOADING ISSUES.
Please notice that for point 3, developers are asking for the last Checkpoint information.

If you dont see the information below your game screen, then click in Toggle FT console and scroll down the page using the bar on the right till you find the last Checkpoint information.

Also in the first post on the first page of this thread there are steps you can try for checking your computer.

Hi Forum guys.
My farmtown has been giving me a black screen with a stationary face in the upper left corner.

Something else I have been experiencing is when i work at placing trees and i move them with the transplant tool. It will highlight trees, but when I tried to move them to their new spot, it wouldn't pick up all 8, so i click on the green man so they go back where I got thre from. When I try to move them again, they highlight but it does that thing it duplicates what you're trying to move, but the items are just nothing.
The only way to fix it is to reload the game. That's what i was doing saturday was trying to move trees, and constantly having to reload that farm by clicking on its adjacent square on the green farm grid. after having to do that 3 or 4 times, it went black..

So, what is causing the rapid freezing of the game? Would a new computer be the only way to fix it? Or do I just give up and not try to play FT anymore? Please help me.

Have you tried a different browser to see if another one would work better?

Make sure the game and Facebook are the only tabs you have open in your browser. Do not have any extensions/add ons enabled. Do not have any other programs running in the background.

What causes the freezing up could be several things. Not enough free memory for the data transfer that needs to be done when working in your farms specially if they6 are layered. Internet problems somewhere between you, Facebook and the Farm Town servers can cause freezing as well.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

You need to supply the information about the type of computer you are using and compare it to the one listed in the 1st post on page 1 of this thread (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) to see if you should be experiencing optimal game play.

If your computer meets those requirements, you need to let us know what it was you were doing and where you were doing it when the game crashes.

Then please also list the first 10 lines of what is showing in the FT console beneath your game screen and with any errors that may be showing if there are any.

Those with Macs have been able to use Opera when other browsers aren't working.

When you say "3D thing" do you mean that WebGL is enabled?

Have you done all the updates showing on your computer if not you need to do them to get your computer as up to date as it can be.

Did you check for any browser updates and disable any extensions enabled in it? If you have, did you also try another updated browser? If you made any changes to the browsers did you close and reopen it before trying to load the game again? Which browsers did you try?

Does your computer have the Farmtown hardware and software requirements listed in the first post on page one? (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) If it does not what kind of computer are you using, windows/mac and which OS version (windows 10, Mac Sur are examples of OS).

Try clearing your FT memcache. To run memcache Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", which is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you are trying to load the game in another browser window.

If you have done all of those those, please make sure that you are loading the game via the Facebook bookmark or by clicking on the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forum so you know you are loading the current version of the game, then you need to provide the following information:

I have turned off all your show items so you have less to load when you next try. When you try to load the game, have a look top right of the game screen for a yellow U number, let us know what number it gets to before it disappears.

If you still can't load, what are you seeing as the game tries to load: black/grey/green screen do you see your farm at all?

Look in the FT console beneath the game screen and copy the 1st 10 lines of information you see in there and provide that information in your reply please..

It has nothing to do with Firefox nor with Windows 10 updates. Since I updated Windows fully before coming online the other day and Firefox was a whole new installation both were up to date. It does not seem to have any actual effect on game play, but since it was a rare occurrence for me to get any errors at all I felt the need to report it anyway! :p

I looked back at your origiunal post and the error message. It just looks like there was a temporary connection error and not something that needs to be reported since it did not stop your play.

As the FC Console is a temporary item while they get the game back to full function this would not even be anything seen normally. Thanks for lettiung us know, but iut ius not something to worry about.

Please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.

Also make sure your browser is updated as sometimes they do not automatically update.

After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

You have to try all suggestions under FIRST LOAD OF FARM TOWN.
After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.


Also there are steps you can try in the first post on the first page of this thread.

The last time this occurred, I was going through my Buddies looking for coop quest ingredients. I was able to go through a few of my buddies, but got stuck when I went to Doriano Ext Tools/Turbo Boat - Solo. Not sure if that farm name helps.

This error message happens when your game encounters an error and freezes. The server is not getting a repsonse back and thinks your WebGl is not working.
What were you doing before it froze and crashed?

Instead of restarting your computer try just closing your browser and then reopen and see if that will fix it.

To fix the WebGL error first try restarting your computer. If that does not correct it , then try clearing your browser cache, then close your browser and reopen it. The ganme will load slowly the first time you open it after clearing the cache as it has to download all the graphics again. Instructions for the browser cache clearing are in the following link:

I was using the BRAVE browser, made by Google Chrome, and had just bought some of the new facilities, while also checking out what else had been updated in this forum, when FT suddenly stopped and turned the whole page black! It sat there for a minute or so, then closed. I clicked to open FT again and got the message about my browser does not support the Web GL2. I closed it and tried twice more, with no luck. Since I still had the forum page open, I thought I should report it, as this happens every time there is an update. It usually takes a day or so before I can use this browser again. What's up with that?
At least, Opera is still working! :) I haven't tried the other browsers yet, but will in a little while.

I moved your post to the subject thread about HTML/WebGL crashes. For your Brave browser try clearing the browser cache, close the browser then reope and see if that will fix it. It will be slow loading the first time as it will have to download all the graphics again. I don't think we have instructions for clearing the cache in that browser, but iut should be similar to Chrome. Instructions for that are in the following link:

my game keeps freezing then i have to reset the WebGl when will this be fixed i am having to do this ever few minutes its becoming fustrating
