How are you going to get into your farms? This sounds like you are using an older saved link to get to your farms. Please use the link in the shortcuts on your Facebook home page or the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forums.

i updated all the links that i had on google chrome over my farm after the change on jan 12th. also went in using facebook farmtown short cut it has been showing climbing on tractor until today.it loading very fast .only thing missing is neighbors and facilty manager.i can load my other

Hi Mom Glenda,
There have been many updates since Jan 12th. Back then the links showed a build number. We do not have the build number in the links to your farms now. The only ones for sure that should be correct are the ones on your Facebook home page in the left column Shortcuts section or the button at the top of the forums. Try the one at the top of the forums and see if it works right. Or try the following one:

Did you try the one I posted?
Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

If that doesn't fix it then clear your browser cache, close your browser , the reload your farms using the one on the left side of your Facebook home page. It will take longer to load the first time after this as all the graphics need to be downbloaded again.

I am sorry but your picture is too small to read what the error is saying.

Have you been able to load the game prior to today? If you were, have you made any changes to your browser?

Please make sure that your browser is still up to date and any extensions are disabled on your browser if you have them. If you make any changes to your browser please close the browser and reopen it before you try to load the game again.

If you still see an error after that please also try another browser and see if you get the same problem there.

Have you been able to load the farm previously?

If so, then please be sure your browser is updated. If that is not the problem then clear your browser cache. The first time you load the game after the clearing, then it will load a little slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.

Just an FYI - as of last afternoon, all my current browsers (chrome, firefox, and blech edge) are having the exact same issue: dragging on loading, often stuck on the black screen, dragging on switching between farms, and getting the error message to reload.

I figured there was an update going on or something. Meanwhile I'll just try again tomorrow. Yes I cleared all history/caches and yes I checked updates to browsers.

Feel free to move if you wish -- this is more an FYI because if it's happening to me, it's possibly happening to others.

When you load the farm for the first time it usually takes more time, but not that long at least for me.
Do you usually clear your browser cache before closing your computer for that day? If so, then yes, your farms could last that time to load for the first time.

If that's what you are doing you need to wait for all the facility work to complete and close the other tabs before you can go back online in just one tab. If clicking the check mark in the popup isn't working for you when you are done, to go back online just try clicking on the play tab to reload your game.

Can’t get in, tried 3 different browsers. Early this morning I got in, but when I clicked on “my requests” and collected gifts, I couldn’t get back to my farm at all. I’ve tried numerous times over the last 3 hours, using various browsers. It goes to the black screen, to different amounts of the white fill-in of the little progress box. Even waiting a half-hour for the screen to complete didn’t work. Cleared memcache, cleared browser cache, closed and re-opened browsers. Are you able to stay online now? There were quite a few with a similar problem after you last posted which did resolve, so if you haven't tried again yet, it's worth another go. If you still have problems staying connected please let us know and if you are seeing any errors in the console below your game screen what they are.

The first time you posted, I asked you to update Chrome as the picture you posted showed it was not updated.

The current version for Chrome is 89.0.4389.90 (Build oficial) (64 bits), please check if it is the one you have.

If it is, then close and reopen your browser and check if the error doesnt show up.

If you continue getting it, then clear your browser cache. The first time you try to load the game after the clearing, it will load slower, it could last up to 5 minutes, as all graphics have to be loaded again.

If you are not able to load the game please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.

Since we don't what all you have done please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

The first time you posted, I asked you to update Chrome as the picture you posted showed it was not updated.

The current version for Chrome is 89.0.4389.90 (Build oficial) (64 bits), please check if it is the one you have.

If it is, then close and reopen your browser and check if the error doesnt show up.

If you continue getting it, then clear your browser cache. The first time you try to load the game after the clearing, it will load slower, it could last up to 5 minutes, as all graphics have to be loaded again.

I have moved your post to the correct thread for your issues.

Please do the following before you try to load the game again:

Make sure that you have done all your updates on your computer and get it as up to date as you are able to.

Windows Users:
Bottom left of your monitor screen is a search box, type the word Update in it and you should see an option that says Search for Updates, click on it and follow the instructions.

Mac users:
Go to your Apple menu, select System Preferences, then click Software Update to check for updates.

Make sure that you are using one of the major browsers like, Chrome, Opera, Edge, Firefox, that it is up to date and that you have disabled any extensions that you may have added to it and enabled. For example you do pot need the Farm Town Flash Enabler any more and you need to disable any extension that would alter the way Facebook normally looks like the one that reverts Facebook to the old classic look.

Check that cookies and pops are still allowed in your browser, those have been known to change when a browser updates so it's worth rechecking for those if you have not already done so. If you need help with that please click on this link: http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=625118


If you make any changes to your browser, when you are done, please close the browser and then reopen it to make sure those settings are saved.

Marymarcel is not available right now.
You say Firefox only shows the black screen (with the cube?), but no errors. I suggest you let it run for a while and see if it will finish loading. If you cleared the browser cache then it will have to download all the graphics again.

For your Chrome have you enabled any of the add ons like to keep Facebook in the old format or an ad blocker? If you have then disable them again and it would be best to remove them as they do cause problems with the game.

What you are trying to send will not sdo any good as we won't see the information you see.
Please answer my questions.

Are you using a saved bookmark to get into Farm Town? If so don't as that can change. Use the shortcut in the left column of your Facebook home page or use the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forums.

Hi Zebra,
Slow loading could be a problem yes. If you haven't loaded the game completely before then the black screen could be downloading (slowly) the graphics for the game. This can take a while, so I suggest leaving it up and let it go to see if it will get those downloaded.

The circle going around is your computer having problems. It is not a Farm Town symbol/function.

Since you are getting the out of memory error messages please check the requirements in the first post of this thread against what your computer has.

Do you have anything else open running while you are trying to play, such as other tabs in your browser or other programs running? If you do then your system may not have enough memory to do all of those things at the same time.

Even if the circle only shows when you have Farm Town open it is still a computer function telling you it is busy and you can't do anything more until it gets unbusy. How about any other programs not necessarily in a browser?



I am not sure why you are having this problem, but it is not the game itself causing you to run out of memory unless maybe your farms are heaviliy layered. Possibly in combination with something else running on your computer then it is running out of memory.

Hi Taz, no, I don't have this especially not installed recently. I didn't change anything since yesterday, but today the game is loading in Firefox too.

It had a yellow background from memory Tiger, I had just started working some of my super neighbors farms. I closed the browser and reopened it and all was good. Have not noticed the message today but will keep a check on it just in case.. I only have showing the item that needs work on, then hide it so that not all (crop, trees, flowers and fish) are ticked in Preferences when going from farm to farm.

Please try clearing your browser cache, close your browser, then reload your farms. If that doesn't work then also try restarting your computer.
Note that it will be slow loading the first time after clearing the cache as it will have to download all the graphics again.

I moved your post to the HTML/WebGL loading problems thread. Please only post in this thread for loading issues.
You have posted this several times and the only thing we can tell you is to try a different browser. Since you are using a Mac computer try contacting Apple Support and see if they can figure out why you can not get into the game. Some who have had problems with Chrome and Safari for loading the game have tried Opera and been able to get in.

I haven't had any loading issues but after awhile, it just slows down and freezes up, then the browser shuts down. I have to reload again. I have a neighbor that says hers does the same thing. It just stops moving. Things work for awhile, then it just slows down and then freezes up.

My game has not loaded since you did the update yesterday. I can exchange gifts again, that came back with the update, and I can send gifts, but then I get a black screen and it goes not further. I went through the instructions, I have both those spinning cubes and my browser is fine. Will I need to wait until the next update to load my farm again?

Which browser are you using? is your browser updated?

Please clear your browser cache and restart. First time you load the game after the clearing, it will load slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.

If you have not made any changes to your browser, please check that it is still up to date. Then please go to the 1st post on page 1 of this thread. (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) There is more information and help for you there, to check things in your browser and WebGL please try those and see if they help.

If you have added any extensions to your browser, please disable them.

If you still have problems after trying those, please describe what you are seeing when you try to load the game, then look in the FT console beneath your game screen and see if there are any errors showing up.

Hi Donald,

I have moved your post to the thread for your issue. I have just visited your farm 1 and been planted not long ago. Are you able to load the game now or is one of your SNs doing it for you?

Grey screen sounds like an extension my be blocking the game from loading so please check these first:

Check that you are using one of the popular browsers like, Chrome, Edge, Opera, Firefox and that it is up to date and that cookies and popups (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=625118) are allowed in your browser.


If you have added any extensions your your browser that are enabled, please disable all of them while you try to load the game. Some extensions will prevent you from being able to load the game.


If you need changed any settings or disabled any extension in your browser, please close and reopen the browser before you try to load the game again.



If you have already done those and still can not load the game please continue with the following and do any you have not already done:

Make sure that you have done all your updates on your computer and get it as up to date as you are able to.

For Windows Users:
Bottom left of your monitor screen is a search box, type the word Update in it and you should see an option that says Search for Updates, click on it and follow the instructions.

For Mac users:
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu, then click Software Update to check for updates.


After doing those please go to the 1st post on page 1 of this thread. You have been answered every time you have posted. It would help if you gave more details about what you are seeing when you load the game. You can find your posts and the answers usually in the next post after yours by using the instructions in the following link:

Are you still stuck at loading U55?

Please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.

Also make sure your browser is updated as sometimes they do not automatically update.

After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

You have to try all suggestions under FIRST LOAD OF FARM TOWN.
After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If you are struggling with Chrome and Safari or have not been to update to the latest OS for your Mac please try Opera browser as those with older OS have had a better time with that browser. Remember you will need to allow cookies and pops ups (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=625118)in Opera if you have not used that browser before.

(http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) There is more information and help for you there about what kind of computer would provide optimum game play so you can compare it to what you have. You can also try enabling the Compressed graphics setting in your game preferences and see if the game performs better for you using that.

If you are:

check that your browser is still up to date. If the browser is updated, please see if you get the same problem and same error using a different browser
Did the error show up as soon as you started to plant or only once you were done? What crop were you were planting when this happened on which farm?
If you have not already done so, please go to the 1st post on page 1 of this thread (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) recheck the items on that post and see if they help.

When did this start happening?
Please check and make sure you have done all the updates on your computer for OS and drivers. Please also check that your browser of choice is still showing up to date. Then please go to the 1st post on page 1 of this thread. (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) There is more information about what software requirements on a computer will provide optimal game play so you can compare it to what you have. If your computer does not meet those specs or can not be updated there is also information there on how to enable compressed graphics which may help.

I collected my gifts from the gifts page, and now cannot get back to my farm. I’ve tried two browsers, Chrome and Firefox. On Chrome, it hangs up on the black screen, and the little progress box never fills in at all. It just hangs there. I have cleared the browser, and run memcache. User ID: 1793409352

If your computer is shutting down then it is getting an error that is fatal for the computer. Did you check out the information in the first post of this thread as Tiger asked you to do?
Also make sure your computer and browsers are all updated. And you could check the suggestions in the Announcement at the top of each section of the forums.

We have had several reports of getting several abnormal errors showing in the FT Console and not being able to get on. The developers are aware of this and working on fixing it. They have released a patch for this, so hopefully you are able to get on again.

Hi Iceberg,
The only reason your computer would shutdown is if it is getting a fatal error probably caused by your browser. Please make sure your browser is up to date.
For the freezing this seems to happen if you are working on a heavily layered farm. The only thing that might help is to turn off anything not needed for the work before you go to the market.

When your game stopped loading had you made any changes to your browser like adding an extension to it? If you did you may need to change it back to how it was before you couldn't load the game.

If you are not sure if you have checked everything is up to date, please run through the following list and make sure you have already done these:


Check and make sure you have done all the updates on your computer for OS and drivers.
Check that your browser of choice is still showing up to date and that cookies and popups (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=625118) are still allowed in that browser. That you are using one of the popular browsers like, Edge/Chrome/Opera/Firefox.
Disable any extensions added to to your browser as some can prevent the game from loading and also stop the message above your game screen showing.
Then go to the 1st post on page 1 of this thread (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6416466#post6416466). There is more information about what software requirements on a computer will provide optimal game play so you can compare it to what you have. If your computer does not meet those specs or can not be updated there is also information there on how to enable compressed graphics which may help.
When you try to load the game, make sure you don't have any other tabs or browsers open to the game and you're not doing something like playing music, using other apps, doing any downloading or that any updates are still in progress of being done on your computer.




If after doing those you still can not load the game please supply:

any new information about what you are seeing when you try to load the game if it has changed.
your user ID which is in the message above your game screen. If you can't see the message there it's also at the top of the send gift page.
If the FT Console beneath your game screen is open, list any errors it is showing to you and see if WebGL is showing enabled or disabled in that console.
Let us know what type of computer/laptop you are using (Windows or Mac), what OS and version it has (eg. Windows 10/Mac Sur)
Which browser you are using and what version it is.

Are you entering the game using a saved bookmark link?

If so please enter your facebook account and click in the Farm town icon on the left column and see if that way you can load your farms.


If you still are not able to load the game please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac if you use it, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.


After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

You have to try all suggestions under FIRST LOAD OF FARM TOWN.
After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If your game doesnt load, then you have to provide the information under PERSISTENT LOADING ISSUES.

If you dont see the information below your game screen, then click in Toggle FT console and scroll down the page using the bar on the right till you find the last Checkpoint information.

With no hardware acceleration and only software WebGL I can see you are more than likely going to have problems particularly with heavily layered farms.

Please close and reopen your browser. Also check if your chrome browser is updated and if you have any update for windows. You can also try to restart your computer.

If non of the previous suggestions work for you, then clear your browser cache. The first time you try to load the game after the clearing it will load slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.

Basically, it takes more than 3 tries to get the game to fully load. At first, I could see some progress, but now it doesn't even give me a black "starting" screen, or a gray "dead" screen; it just freezes entirely.

I've done all the steps detailed in your other post, but still trouble.
So I tried to load another User Number on my Google Browser, and that worked - but actually prefer to use the Opera Browser for FarmTown.
Is anyone else having trouble with Opera? What else can I try?

oh, and forgot to mention, when I do get it to load, it won't let me add a facility - and now, it won't let me check the "show farms" feature so I can see if those I hired actually finished the job. So basically, it loaded, but won't let me do the usual "chores" because it's frozen. Thanks for any help you can give!

I moved your post to the HTML5 thread as you are having problems loading the game.

As Im not sure which steps you followed, I will suggest you the following.

Be sure your Opera browser is updated.

Check if you have any update for Windows. The other mods got it last night, I just got an update an hour ago.

If all is updated and you still have problems, then clear your browser cache. Close and restart. The first time you load the game after the clearing it will load slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.

I can't seem to add facilities to an existing farm, still can't seem to add a drying facility to a farm.

So glad it worked for you :)

I deleted the instructions for layering as they are not allowed on the forum.

When you use the purple hand, there has to be at least one small clear space where you are moving an item to, the size of a pine tree. If the farm is fully worked then you have to go around till you find that little green square to set down the facility.

We are aware that not all methods used before the migration to layer those are working. I am sorry, but as I told you before, we can't help you with that as we are not permitted to allow anyone to post which ones might be working, the instructions for doing them or any other tricks that people like to do in the game.

At this time the concentration is to get all the features back. We are unable to tell you at the moment if the tricks that were working prior to the move and may not be now, will work again in the future.

What were you doing when this happened?
When you clear the browser cache it will be slow reloading the game because it has to download all the graphics again.


Instead of clearing the cache, try just resarting the browser first and see if that will reopen your farms. Also you can try restarting your computer and see if that will clear the WebGL not supported message and allow your game to reload.

Yes the heavily layer fish did have something to do with this. Specially if there are other things such as trees, flowers and/or crops layered over them. The WebGL support message is because of the farm freezing up and the game thinks WebGL is not responding so it pops up that message.
The only thing I can suggest is to turn off anything you do not need when you are hired in your preferences. That may lighten the load on your computer.

Please check that you have already done the following before you try to load the game again:


Make sure that you have done all your updates on your computer and get it as up to date as you are able to.

Windows Users:
Bottom left of your monitor screen is a search box, type the word Update in it and you should see an option that says Search for Updates, click on it and follow the instructions.

Mac users:
Go to your Apple menu, select System Preferences, then click Software Update to check for updates.

Make sure that you are using one of the major browsers like, Chrome, Opera, Edge, Firefox and that it is up to date

Please disable any extensions that you may have added to it and enabled. For example you do not need the Farm Town Flash Enabler any more and you need to disable any extension that would alter the way Facebook normally looks like the one that reverts Facebook to the old classic look.

For the Farmtown icon, are you talking about the one on the left column on your facebook homepage? If it is not there, then probably facebook is doing something and it will be back shortly.
Meanwhile you can click in Play FarmTown blue button in the upper right side of the forum.

For your problem with items you think are not going into your storage: please open your storage before doing some trees and write down the amount you have. Then harvest or chop those same trees and check the amounts in storage again.

Looks like it is wide spread. I am on W27 and not able to get on line either.
It is a C19 connection failure which we are all on as that is the Chat server. I have contacted the developers. All we can do now is wait for them to find the problem and fix it.

Check if your browser is updated.

Try to close and reopen your browser. Also restart your computer.

If those dont help you, then clear your browser cache. The first time you load the game after the clearing it will load slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.

Hi MaryMarcel, your message prompted me to use a method applicable to CHROME.
Step 1: Go to the 3 dots in the upper right, click and select settings from dropdown
Step 2: Scroll down to Privacy and Security select the > on the right of
Cookies and other site data
Third-party cookies are blocked in Incognito mode
Step 3: Scroll down and select the > on the right of See all cookies and site data
Step 4: in the SEARCH COOKIES field in the upper right enter SLASH
Step 5: The display should show 3 entries found with SLASH in the name. Select Remove all shown.
Step 6: Close all screens in CHROME and restart CHROME
This fixes the Farm Town issue without clearing any other cookies.

A much preferred method to be surgical for only those cookies used by Farm Town

Video memory is not the same as system memory. Video memory would be the amount on the video card it self that is dedicated strictly to the screen video.

That would not have anything to do with your crashing after the work you are doing helping other farmers. Your browser is limited on how much system memory it can use as well by your processor controller.

What kind of work are you doing?
Are their farms heavily layered with crops, trees, flowers and/or waters? The more heavily layered then the faster your browser will use up the allocated memory. So after working so many farms it will bog down and may even freeze.

Please be sure the browsers you are using are updated. Also check if you have any updates for Windows or Mac in case you use it.

Remember to restart your computer after any change.

If all the previous things are correct and you didnt need to do any update, then clear your browser cache. First time you load the game after the clearing it will load slower as all graphics have to be loaded again.

Sometimes this pops up because an error has occured that the game may not have a warning about. What were you doing before this message showed?
Try closing and reopening your browser and see if that clears it. If it doesn't try restarting your computer. Again if that doesn't clear it, try clearing your browser cache, close the browser, then reopen your farms. It will be slow loading the first time after clearing the cache as all the graphics have to be downloaded again.

Please go to the 1st post on page 1 of the HTML5/WebGL thread. (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) and re-check everything on that list for everything on your computer and browser before you try to load the game again.

If you still can not load the game after checking all of those please try another updated browser and see if you get the same problem there. If you do, please describe what you are seeing when you try to load the game and if there any errors in the console beneath your game screen, please list those.

Game was running really slow this morning and then this error popped up. I was trying to get to the Marketplace when it happened

I have moved your post to the subject thread about loading problems.
Please provide your ID. You can find it in the banner above your farms.
What is the error message you have gotten?

Have you been able to play at all in the HTML version?

If not please check if there is any update for Windows or Mac, you can type update in the search box and you usually get "search for updates", you have to follow the instructions. Remember to close and restart after updating.

Also make sure your browser is updated as sometimes they do not automatically update.

After that then follow the instructions given in this announcement:

You have to try all suggestions under FIRST LOAD OF FARM TOWN.
After trying them all, then restart and check again if your game loads.

If your game doesnt load, then you have to provide the information under PERSISTENT LOADING ISSUES.
Please notice that for point 3, developers are asking for the last Checkpoint information.

If you dont see the information below your game screen, then click in Toggle FT console and scroll down the page using the bar on the right till you find the last Checkpoint information.

What was it that you were doing when you go the error?

If you have not already done so please try just closing and reopening your browser and see if that gets you back into the game with WebGL enabled again.

hi, since the reintroduction of coop quests,, could be coincidental,, i have had trouble loading my farm,, when i finally manage to load i can possibly get to another of my farms without problem but then when trying the next farm it freezes,, if it shows the name of the farm i'm trying to get to and i wait 4 minutes the screen will turn green and after a further 1 minute the crops, facs etc will appear,, i am then able to work that farm and maybe one other until the process begins again,, today i have had error warnings in the information under the farm,,, i have cleared browsers,, changed browsers, checked i'm htlm compatible, i have written to support with no reply,, i have never had problems before,, my farm id is : 100000099998513 ,, i would be really grateful if you could give me some advice,, thanking you for your time, francesca and i have uninstalled and reinstalled my browser (google chrome) and everything is updated

Hi francescarw,
I moved your post to the subject thread about loading problems. Please note when you clear the browser cache then it will be slow loading as all the graphics have to be downloaded again.


What errors are you getting in the FT Console?


If your farms are heavily loaded or layered then you can have these problems. The slow loading could also be an internet problem somewhere between you and the Farm Town servers. There are many links between and any one of them could be having problems causing a slow down in the data transfer.
