Cannot load my neighbors bar - it is blank. And can only access tools (plow, sower, etc),but not quests, ships, trains, facilities chains, and all other icons - they are grayed out. So I cannot farm at all!! :mad:

I moved your post to the thread about the migration. If you want to ask a question or post a problem if the game is working for you please post it here.
The fuel is showing used while you work and then when you put the tool down it is all restored. Check it yourself, by noting how much you have, then work and put the tool down when finished. You will see the fuel is restored.

If you are referring to what is on the right sidebar on your game page is owned by Facebook. Anything in the game, above or below it is owned by Farmtown.

The farm loads fine in the new version, however I am unable to turn off the music ...when I hover over the speaker it is red and displays the paired eighth notes on white background. When I click on the paired eighth note symbol, it flashes a green background returning to white, and keeps playing (even after clicking) two or three times.
I mute the sound on my laptop when farming but this keeps me from playing my own music, hearing when messages come in etc. Not the end of the world but mentioning in case it is only my farm that has this issue.

Unclicking "show coin and bonus" does not stop freezing. The farms load FAST but constantly freezing while harvesting, chopping, fishing or doing flowers. The only place I had no issue was on Chrome on my Desktop that runs Windows 7. Here on this Surface Pro 7 I run Windows 10.

I moved your post to the Migration thread. You fuel is used when you work. It is restored when you are done and drop the tool. You do not get coins for harvesting.

My only problem is that when I fish, the yellow animated scroll goes on forever and, by that, I mean for a long, long while... If I touch anything to get out of it, the game crashes. This is in two different browser, Chrome and Opera. When I try to reenter the game, I get a message like this one on Chrome, "Out of memory. If you are the developer of this content try allocating more memory to your WebGL build in the WebGl player setting." I get a similar one in Opera, but worded differently.
I Googled how to fix it and followed explicit instructions, and then it said it was a developer problem and the flags would be removed soon.
Is there something I need to do on my end, or do I just need to be patient? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help. I minimized my screen to 90% zoom and I can see most of my game screen, but the tool box isn't showing because the right side only shows until the storage box.
The 90% shows the most of the screen, so i'll just have to work with that i guess until hopefully it goes back to normal after the changes. It's just weird because it was fine earlier..

Did you try to close and reload the game? If you are still getting he grey screen, try clearing your browser cache, close the browser, then reload the game.

As far as we know you can buy tools from the store. Just be sure you are authorized to buy that tool (own all the previous ones). The tools are not showing the needed tools button right now.

I am sorry, but the crops will not be frozen. You can harvest them so they go in your storage. You can sell from the storage.

I had a crop of bellpeppers planted on a farm with 583 fields, which I planted yesterday using the Flash version of the game. The farm was fertilized and irrigated. Before I harvested them, I had 31,646 bellpeppers in storage (I actually checked). After I harvested, it showed that I had 32,094 in storage, a difference of 448 - not even as many as the number of fields I harvested. I should have something on the order of 33,266 (a difference of 1620), given that I've reached the 7th Dan in this crop. I know you're working now just to get the game to run on everybody's computers, but it's hardly worth planting and harvesting if we're not going to get proper credit for what we harvest.

The original amount showed in storage is just some kind of nonsense, but when I went back later on and checked the amount in storage, it was right on. And to double check, I planted a farm with lettuce, checked the before and after harvest amounts, and again, the original number in storage was way off, but later on it was a good number. So, while I wish the original number was right (and eventually I imagine it will be), it is not a serious problem for now.

I get in and harvest plants and trees, and chop trees OK.
But when I change farms, about the 20th farm change I get this error message.
An Embedded Page at Slashkey says
"Your Browser Does Not Support WebGL."
Refreshing the page does not help, but closing Google Chrome and reopening it again temporarily solves the problem for a short time.
Then the screen goes black and I have to escape out of it.
Don't know if others have hit this problem, which is why I am reporting it.

What jobs are you doing that you are not getting experience? Not everything you do earns experience. You can find what jobs do or don't in the Game Guide chapter about Hiring.

The markets have not been added yet. You can not hire anyone yet. This is a restricted version, so you will have to wait until the developers add that function back into the game.

I harvested all my crop farms tonight with the biggest tools I own for harvesting and plowing. It sounds like the problem you are having is the layered crops on crops. This may be something the developers will have to look at later.

Hi Robin,
You will show fuel being used as you work. Then when you put the tool down or change farms then the fuel is restored. Note what you have when you start work anbd then look at the amount when you finish.

Try clearing one with the bulldozer of all the levels and then plant only a single level of crops. Then see if it will let you harvest that crop when ready.

I can load the WebGL version. I can even harvest and plant my layered crops. But I want to go back to the Flash version of the game, so I can do quests and visit neighbors, and other things that they have not implemented yet (my gift box is full so I cannot accept any more gifts, I need to clear it out).

Flash still works. I can still load it (after choosing 'load this time' from the 'Flash is outdated' warning). They cannot have deleted the Flash game, can they? I want to play in Flash. DId you quit Farm Town and delete the app from Facebook for a while? If so then you may not get them back.

If not then you should if you log into Facebook and go through the link in the left column of your home page.

Using the new HTML platform, I am able to replant my own farms. One thing I noticed is that while the farm switching is way faster than it used to be. Once I get to the next farm, I have to wait for several seconds before the toolbox becomes activated so I can go grab a tool.

Its the only part of the process that seems to not work as fast as the rest.

Try clearing one with the bulldozer of all the levels and then plant only a single level of crops. Then see if it will let you harvest that crop when ready.

It let's me harvest the layered crops one at a time, and the big tools work on single layers

I'll start with how disappointed I am in the progression to HTML5/WebGL. I have known over a year Flash Player was going away. I can assume the powers to be at Farm Town knew much earlier than I. Only in the last couple of months could I see movement toward this task. The tasks should have started right away so as players we would have had a seamless transition. Maybe we aren't that important.
Any longtime player that has supported this game should be mad as hell as many of our dollars have been paid towards playing this "free" game. We greatly enjoy playing the game and I am confident that most players will still remain after the migration is complete. I feel, and quite sure others do as well the developers have maintained the game very well over the years. Now is not the time to drop the ball and ignore us. We deserve better than this. I am sure the developers have many ideas for the game in the future and with these ideas are plans for more tools for the players to purchase and keep this game in motion.
At this point the game is only a shell with very little functionality. About all you can do is plant some crops, and maintain our ponds and trees. We can harvest our animals but that is very time consuming so why do it if our facilities are down. We can't hire from the market so there are no crop bonuses of any sort. Give us our bonuses. Do something so we feel you care. Some of us love this silly game.

You can't use gifts yet as there is no gift box yet to be able to use them. Just send gifts as normal and they will all be saved in Facebook. You will be able to use them when the gift box in the game is added back.

It's just the display doing that. It's not actaully taking your fuel. It will correct back to the original amount when you stop using tools that would normally use fuel.

I think it has to do with the farm changer grid. While it remains large you can't go into the toolbox but when it goes back to normal you can.

Hi all :)

Please go to the first post on page one so you are all cought up with the restricted version of the game. For the most part you are only going to be doing your own farm work and designing and selling when you need to from the farm from from storage. Things will get added back as the devs have time to do them.
There are no animated items in the game yet so that includes the avatar and any animated animals.
If it's greyed out in your tool box, there's no access to those features yet.

I can load the WebGL version. I can even harvest and plant my layered crops. But I want to go back to the Flash version of the game, so I can do quests and visit neighbors, and other things that they have not implemented yet (my gift box is full so I cannot accept any more gifts, I need to clear it out).

Flash still works. I can still load it (after choosing 'load this time' from the 'Flash is outdated' warning). They cannot have deleted the Flash game, can they? I want to play in Flash. This will also appease those who cannot get the WebGL version to work at all. Please give a link to the Flash version so that we are not forced to play the WebGL version. Thank you.

Flash Player was the product of the Adobe Corporation, and that company is blocking everything world wide from using it - supposedly for security reasons and the fact that they will no longer be updating it as of December 31st 2020. So any old version links that Slashkey-Codebell provided would either be blocked or take you to Adobe's page where it suggests you remove Flash Player from your system. This is why HTML5 is opened automatically instead.

I am getting this message on Firefox, Brave, and Chrome on both computers (Win 7 and Win 10) This message loads and game freezes. Once I click OK and reload game it plays but keeps freezing. I can relaod and play a few farms before it freezes again. On Chrome on my Win & is the one with the goes way over to the right not aligned correctly.

Yes, you can fertileze your farms. If you click in the Manure spreader and then click on a farm and the next screen shows all farms names greyed, that means they are already fertilized.

I've searched and read exhaustively but can't find an answer to my question. I'm quietly planting and harvesting away on my own farm until I can go and be hired again when that is available again. My question is - I don't seem to be accumulating any experience points for the work I'm doing. I should have levelled up by now as I've done a lot of planting and harvesting and buy new houses but...nothing. I don't get the little popup below my level indicator to show how many points I need to advance either.

Is this feature not working?

The leveling up may not be available yet, but you are earning experience points for planting and plowing. When they do get it added then you may get the levels.

I am not sure what you mean as your crops are stored as you harvest. Do you not see the Storage icon to the left of the Map?

The first post on the first page of this thread tells you what is available currently. The rest you will have to wait as the developers are able to add those functions in.

Hi Musicmaker,
You should see the neighbor boxes at the bottom with blue outline and their names. If you do not see those try clearing your browser cache, close the browser then reopen to your farms.
If you are seeing those then you have your neighbors but you can not do anything except visit their farms.

If you are referring to the quests, Map items, and others, then you are right because those functions have not been added in yet. You can see what is available in the first post of this thread. Theother functions will be added over the next weeks.

Being that players can do nothing except plant and harvest, I suggest HARVEST TIMES be turned off and no penalties for incomplete QUESTS, as we can not play them, either. :confused: We, basically, have no game until it is back up in full.

Hi laditz,
The fuel consumption is turned off. When you work you use fuel, then when you are through and drop the tool the fuel is restored to the amount you had. You can check this by noting how much you have before you start and then look to see what you have after you drop the tool.

Yes it is, but we are trying to separate the ones who can play from those who can't.
When they start adding any of the missing functions they will create a separate thread for that.


It does state in the first post of this thread:
We already completed all the features that will be released into the restricted version of the game before the end of the year, these features will include all farming tools for crops, trees, flowers and fishing, the free style designers, the Store and the Storage screens, all other functionality will be hidden and enabled gradually in the coming weeks.

I can confirm that levelling up is turned on (I've went up a level on the HTML.)

The bar showing experience and how close one is to levelling up is not working, so that may be confusing and why people think they aren't leveling up.

Also, the leveling up message will disappear if someone clicks on anything, so it is easy to miss the message. The notice of leveling up is also not posted on facebook.

This is a restricted version of the game as it was announced time ago. You have to work your own farms and missing features will be added in a time.

Northing else to do so I have been fishing and harvesting. I am keeping a close eye on capacity of the storage shed but I have noticed the percentage used is not going up. I see the number for individual products is going up. I am concerned that I will soon start losing product. Will that happen? My storage will overflow but the percentage will still stay at 66%?

Please be patient as not all the functions are included yet. Your previous posts have been moved to the appropriate threads for the developers to see. They will have to come up with solutions to your problems.

I have moved your post to the subject thread about the migration as you are able to load the game.
You can find your tools in the toolbox. Anything that is greyed out has not been added into the game as yet. You can find what you can do in the first post of this thread. The other functions will be added in over time as the developers get them working.

If you would take a few minutes and just scan through the posts, you will see that the Mods are doing a pretty good job of keeping people informed. The very first post by the Developers has new information as it is updated. The game is very usable. It is a good time to build up your stock, especially on some highly used product. Several of us are even harvesting animal products by clicking on each shed individually. This is not official and may not work for everyone, but I am liking increasing my eggs and fish while I wait for facilities to become functional again.

Also, since the developers cannot work for free, I bought FC to upgrade a few tools so I will be good to go as they add functions.

It was stated that fuel consumption would be disabled for all tools until the facilities are working but when using my combine harvest /plow/sow it is most definitely using my fuel.

Love the new and improved speed and cant wait for the rest of the functionality to work!

If you watch it, when you stop using the tools and the work is done it corrects back to the original amount.

The fuel is showing used as your work, but as soon as you put the tool down the fuel is restored.

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to Raul, the rest of his crew for all their hard work. I just finished doing harvest and plow of all my farms and it was amazing!! I think once all the other stuff is done and comes together, you people are going to have an even bigger and better game than before. Try clearing one with the bulldozer of all the levels and then plant only a single level of crops. Then see if it will let you harvest that crop when ready.

Here's an update: I have layered farms, and I was unable to harvest anything the first day except with a single tool. Obviously, that was not only tedious but very time-consuming. I did as much as I could before I lost my mind! I then hid my crops and cleared the harvested plots. The next day, I could use the big tools and harvested a layer at a time (even though the other crops were showing, they couldn't be harvested). I then hid the crops and cleared the harvested plots. I had the crops showing again, harvested those, hid them, and cleared. By that time, many of the crops had died, but I was able to clear them after harvesting the live crops.

I'm trying to be patient, and, actually, it gives me time to rearrange some things; but losing thousands of acres of cropland is not going to work in the long run.

It locks and I have to reload the game and it will allow work for one to three farms before locking up again. I am able to run the game on Chrome, Firefox and Brave. Everything would be GREAT if not for the constant freezing across the board.We have very high speed Internet ( 300+ Mbps) and everything else is fine.
When its working the game is incredibly fast with no lag, fast, and I LOVE the darker more colorful icons for the tools and love the darker font for the storage and store.
I want to thank the devs and everyone involved working so hard to get us thru this transition. It promises to be excellent in the days and months to come.
I hope the freezing issue will be resolved soon.

You are asking questions we don't have the answer to as yet. We can not answer any questions about layering. You will need to wait and see as the other functions are added back into the game if that will still work.

Your freezing could just be that those farms are heavily layered and we don't have answers as to why at the moment. Please be patient and wait to see what the develoers can do.

I am in between cataract surgeries so I miss things.It is on all my farms and all are only 3x layered. I don't have trees, crops etc layered over crops or anything like that. Just fields, and some water areas..

Addendum: I did ask about the error messages involving Java script which seem to occur rather randomly but always with freezing. I did not see an answer to that either. Why is it asking for me to check my browser Java console? I don't have anything like that and from what I hear Java is not supported by most browsers now.

Every farm takes forever to finish loading and it often freezes but most of the time the freeze don't last long but before I can do anything on the farm it takes at least 30 to 45 seconds before I can start doing any work, I hope it doesn't stay this way, my ID is 1592801987

I moved your post to the Migration thread.

The toggle ft console information is only for farmers who cannot load the game in the new version.

You were able to load your farms and you can see your crops gone to waste. I'm sorry for that but you have to use your Plower for them and plant again.

In the first post of this thread you will find which features are allowed at this time.

Missing features will be added at a time and after being tested.

You can try clearing your browswer cache and check if the game loads better. Just remember that the first time you load your game after the clearing it will be slower as all graphics need to be loaded again.

You can go to the tools in the store and set the filter to Owned or Unowned and it will filter them.
You can also use the Shao Names with the Show Work info to see what is current ready.
For the rest they haven't been added yet. You can chek the first post here to see what is available.

Fuel is disabled for all of us. When you start to work, you will see fuel decreases, but when you finish that job, the amount goes up to show the amount you previously had.

Please take note of the amount of fuel you have before starting any job and check that amount when you finish working.

i am unable to access this game. It won't load my farms correctly. my farms that have layered fields keeps showing they need to be plowed. After I plow them I am unable to plant seeds. I moved your post to the subject thread about the migration as you can open your farms. If your farms are layered then currently you may have problems with the current release.
For the other functions you are asking about they have not been added yet. Please read the first post of this thread to see what is currently available.

We don't know for sure but as time is still going on, then those quests will not be there when they get quests functions added back in the game.

Suggested me to go to preference, uncheck box show coins and XP animated animals! Found it was unchecked already.
Had to make my farms larger as they are too small and the light is very dim while using large combine.
As I learn to adapt to your new design or system do believe it is fine.
Still feel you could stop filling the page up with what we are planting and plowing, error messages get in the way.
Light could be a bit brighter tough, and doesn't show the size of each farm, or when to fertilize. Used to show size of farms, how many hours were left for fertilizing!
Just farming is very boring really. Need to get the quest and what not working for that is what kept me playing. Helping each other was half the game.

Just to add some information to this with facilities not working in the Unity version then Neighborhood Chains Contest, Super Facility, Facility Chains, and both quests will not work in it until facilities and those functions are added back in.

I have layered crop fields, I un-check the 'show crops' option under the wrench. When I plant new crops they are not disappearing as they used to. Is that option working yet? A farm planted with crops - and I un-check 'show crops' the crops to disappear. So the question is do they actively disappear when planting crops.

I moved your post to the subject thread about thye migration as you are getting in on your computer. As far as loading on the IPad they are not looking at those right now. You can make sure you do not have any extensions you have added for keeping Facebook in the old layout or an adblocker, anything that alters how web sites load.

I don't know what you want help with. You can use your plows to replow those wasted crops and then replant those farms.

Ha! I used to get the "this feature isn't available" when I tried to harvest my animal sheds but they WORK now!!!! SEE!!! This is kinda fun as things get added back in again! Love it!
