I am seeing something about 5G. do I have to have 5G now in order to play farm town. I have been playing this game for years. Can someone please help me to get my game back up and running?

Hi savanahchild50,

It sounds like you're using a mobile or tablet to play.

If that's the case, those are still not officially supported for playing Farm Town although we know many like to use those to play the game. Slashkey has always recommended that you play Farm Town using a laptop or a computer.

We are aware that those using Apple devices are having difficulty again as they have done in the past.

I haven't had a problem loading the game using my android devices, one has the capability to support 5G the other does not at the moment. I have not changed the methods I used previously to load the game on those. I did make sure that any updates for the devices were done and I optimized them as it recommend before I tried the game.

was expecting the Html version to be a bit further ahead by now i am tapping my feet waiting for the Marketplace to get hired feature. will the lag for collecting bonus in full screen be removed or faster than it used to be in the old flash version.

Just a suggestion when the chance comes. For the farm squares, "highlight" or change shade for the farms already worked. Lost track of where I was and missed a farm or two and crops wasted. No biggie, just miss having that feature. I also like the tan-contrasting color, in use now but I have no issue if it goes back to the old green. But having the worked farms a different shade than unworked back would be great if not too much trouble.

Just keep any eye out on the first post on page one in this thread and the first post in any other open thread in New and Announcements section of the forum, as those are likely where the updates will be listed when thy have time to add them

Your working animals are still in their sheds. There is no quick way to harvest them at this time. You can go farm to farm and as long as you are able to see the animal shed you can click on it to harvest it if you want.

Fuel is disabled for all of us. When you start working, you will see fue is used, but as soon as you drop the tool, the previous amount for fuel is showing up.

Please take note of your fuel amount before working and check it again after working and you will see it is the same.

The map icon is not working at this moment. Can you please take a photo of your icons on the botton right side please?

Since we don't know what you are referring to please give us some more details. If you are talking about the animations you see when fishing, please go to your preferences and uncheck the box for Show coins and exerience animations. Then close your farms and reopen them and tey fishing again.


By the way I fish my farms twice a day and have not noticed any problems with it. You know as much as we do. Thge developers do not tell us when they are going to release any functions. As you we have to check the first post of this thread to see if anything new has been released.
No the map is not available yet. It has been there since the first release of this version, just has been greyed out.

The gifts will be fine sitting there until the gift box is added. You will not be able to accept any more until it is added and you can empty it. Those you don't accept right now will stay in the My Requests until you can accept them again.

The gift box has not been added yet. You can still send gifts and receive them, just don't accept them. They will stay in the My Requests until the gift box is added.

open your storage, choose any item, click on sell at market, when that opens, you will see Gifts and find all in there..

The facility manager and the markets are not available yet. You can find whatis available in the first post of this thread.


You are already in the new version. That is why you can't get to the facility manager. The only thing you do for your crops right now is to harvest them yourself.

You may have to delete those fields, reload your farms and see if any show back up. Repeat until they are all gone.
We don't know if any of the layering is working correctly yet.

Since 8 days have passed since Flash died and I've seen zero improvements and 3 1/2 years since the developers knew Flash was going away I SUGGEST they let us know when they have accomplished something.

I'll be planting Chia all over and then leaving for 10 days. Hoping against hope there is some improvement in this crippled game. I can't waste hours every day playing it as it is, sorry.

I hate having to complain but....

Hi Farmer_Susan :)

If you want to sell your gifts, then open your Storage and click in Go To Market to Sell in any of your items.
When you get the window for selling at market, just click in Gifts tab and you will be able to sell your gifts one by one.

I cant answer you about your second request, we could think if you accepted baits as gifts and you didnt sell them and they are still in your gift box, then you should be able to ask for more or to send them to your waters.

The Show Work Info Panel:
A: one farm has been showing a farm with flowers ready to harvest, for two days, after harvesting, clear mem cache, two browsers. No change.
B: Several farms show crops ready to harvest before they are. Clear mem cache, 2 browser....

Multiplanter near the edges: Using 64 trees near the edge, half the trees were outside the farm. They were planted. Upon reloading the farm, the trees were missing. and not in storage.

I also have a lot of freezing when working my farms. I don't have any layers and have never had my computer freeze in the past. I have 43 farms and it usually freezes at least 3-4 times if I am working all of them. Seems to really freeze when I try and make the screen go to full screen.

There is a line showing the amount of memory used/memory allocated under your neighbor bar. When you change to those farms that freeze what are those numbers?

My farm freezes and then I reset the computer after doing h/p/p. I reload everything and it works for awhile (really well) but then freezes like it can't keep up with my clicking. All are 9x with trees or flowers on them but not enough to do any harm. Maybe they can increase the loading process or smoother? Loads farms fast but not the work....Maybe a later update it will run more smooth....Thanks for making Farm Town workable!

Also, is there a way to turn off the "____ can only be planted in a plowed field"? The tools are NOT as easy to plant as they used to be, you have to catch it just right and it's very different than what we're all used to, so I end up with that script over the fields over and over and OVER and it blocks what I am trying to do (plant). I do hope that will get smoother over time.

If we get a vote on what comes back quicker, I used the farm stats a LOT and I am really missing it right now. LOL!

I am 686742202. I swear my fertilization is only lasting 2 days and certainly not 72 hours. I just fertilized for the 3rd time in under a week.

Also, is there a way to turn off the "____ can only be planted in a plowed field"? You may have to delete those fields, reload your farms and see if any show back up. Repeat until they are all gone.
We don't know if any of the layering is working correctly yet.

I was having trouble with layered fields. I didn't do anything to fix it but somehow it fixed itself. I would leave it be until the migration is complete. Clearing the cache might help too.

Just to add some information to this with facilities not working in the Unity version then Neighborhood Chains Contest, Super Facility, Facility Chains, and both quests will not work in it until facilities and those functions are added back in.

One last question. With the facilities on hold right now, it would be an excellent time for me to get caught up on my 6x plowing. The only problem is we cannot set the DEFAULT farms. Do you think that would be an easy fix?

I have moved your post to the the thread about the Game Migration. When you have a question about what is or isn't added to the game yet please come here and go to the first post on page one (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650134). There is a list towards the bottom which will help you know if something should be showing yet.

There no reason at this time to think that the Quests won't be coming back, but they can't be added until we also get the facilities fully working as you need those for them. but I'm sorry, we aren't able to tell you any date for the rest of the features. As they get added back the information in the first post will be updated so please keep an eye on that every now and then for updates.

We are aware that not all types of layering are possible at this time. It's far to early to be looking at that yet. The game isn't even back to normal to play without all the various tricks people like to do so we certainly can't tell you if or when any of it will be possible to do again at this time.

Overlapping items can still be done with the purple hand as long as it's used as it were intended to be used, not for what you are describing. They were never meant for putting things on/under things like crops, trees or flowers etc. You have to do show everything you have on your farms and then move or place the item to overlap something else. Any other method is still a trick. Sorry.

Just FYI, if the game hacks we have been using are no longer possible after the game is fully restored I will be quitting this game for good and I know of quite a few others who feel the same. I moved your post to the Migration thread as you dont have problems loading the game.

If you want to sell your products, then open your Storage, click in Go to Market to Sell button for one of your products and you will go to market and will be able to sell what you want.

Market for hiring is not available yet. If you are doing your own work on your farms, you are not receiving coins, you are receiving products from crops, trees, fish, flowers. If you also plow and plant, then you are receiving xp and paying coins for plowing and planting. This has always been this way.

Please go to the first post, first page of this thread where there is usefull information for which features are available and which ones have not been added yet.

As I said in the other thread we do not know when the map will be ready as the developers do not tell us in advance of what they are ready to release or when. You can see in the first post what is currently available and can watch that post for additional additions.
For your crops going to waste early, the only thing that can cause that is if your date and time was off when you planted them or when you were ready to harvest.

It's likely to be a data transfer issue, getting that information about who all of your friends are from Facebook your game. It happens sometimes and usually corrects itself in time without you needing to do anything.

Have a look in your My Neighbors tab and remove the check mark for "Show active players only" then see if any of your friends are also showing no picture when they normally have one either with a blue background or a white background. If there's no pictures showing up for some of your friends there either than that's why the game can't see them. If those that you know are still playing have 0 stats for their information, that is also a sign of a data transfer issue.

You can running memcache if you like and see if it helps for those you know are still playing, but it may not make any difference and you just have to wait for it to be fixed. Here's the memcache link if you would like to try it. Click on the link, close the game if it's still open in another tab, then reload.

I checked the neighbors and there are only 3 of them not showing pics on that page. I tried running meme cache and that did nothing for it. So I will just be patient and wait.....the flowers were worth the wait so this will be too!!!!

This usually happens with there is a problem transfering data and also corrects itself after a time. Anyway the developers are aware of this issue some users are having.

If you wish, click in your My Neighbors tab and remove the check mark for "Show active players only", then check if your friends are not showing pictures. If some of them dont have pictures then the game cant see them. Also check if some of them are showing 0 stats in their information, that always tell us that there is an issue transfering data.

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

If that doesn't show them then clear your browser cache, close the browser and then reopen your farms. It will take a little longer to reload after this as it has to download all the graphics again.

Also I've made this suggestion before but we don't need three steps, harvest, ghost, gone. When we harvest just remove it, period, no shadow ghost please. They get in the way of our work!!!

Are you talking about the Go to market in the Storage? On the laptop or desktop?

Try clearing the browser cache, close your browser, then reopen your farms and see the storage link will work. Please try this on both computers and see if the neighbors show back up on the laptop.

I checked the neighbors and there are only 3 of them not showing pics on that page. I tried running meme cache and that did nothing for it. So I will just be patient and wait.....the flowers were worth the wait so this will be too!!!!

We're following up on this. Do you still have a problem with some of your neighbors not having profile pictures in the neighbors bar below the farm today or has it cleared up now?

If you still have the problem please could you supply the following information.

How may neighbours are still not showing up with pictures in the bar?
Are those neighbours all still playing the game? You should be able to see the date that they last played Farm Town in their blue box in the my neighbours tab.

Of the ones still playing, how many of them have blank picture in both areas?
Please see if you can get to their Facebook profiles by clicking on the name link just under where their picture should be. You might see content unavailable, if you do, please go to your Facebook News feed and use the search bar top left of Facebook and see if you can get to their Facebook profiles that way to see if they are still active on Facebook.

Hi buffaloboy,

Clearing browser caches clears all the graphics for the game so when you next load the game those all have to be loaded again which does make first load slower. Those with older computers or low on memory will find it can be slower than the flash version was and may need to reload.

Unless you need to clear those caches for other reasons you may be better off not clearing them until your browser slows down or you start having a problem in the game perhaps after an update has been released and something that should be showing up isn't.

When you are doing your own work, you don't get coins for harvesting crops, you make your coins by using the crops or selling them. You are always charged for plowing so if you were using a combine to do both jobs at the same time that's why your coins were going down.

Fuel is disabled for all of us.

When you start working your farms, you will see the fuel amount decreases but as soon as you drop the tool then that amount goes back to the original amount.

Please take note of your fuel amount before you start working and check how much you have when you are done.

Is this happening to all your neighbors pics? We know and the developers are aware that some users dont see 2 or 3 pictures in their neighbors bar.

If you cant see any profile pictures from your neighbors in the neighbor bar, then please try clearing your memcache, a new window will open with a short list of unsettings. Close that window and your farm if it was open in other tab. Then reload the game.

If you only have a few pictures missing, then please click in your My Neighbors tab and remove the check mark for "Show active players only", then check if your friends are not showing pictures. If some of them dont have pictures then the game cant see them. Also check if some of them are showing 0 stats in their information, that could indicate that there is an issue transfering data.
You can also try to visit their facebook profiles, for the ones not showing pictures, and see if those profiles are available.

Adobe stopped the use of Flash, not Farm Town, so they have had to convert the game to a totally different programming language which has not proven to be an easy move.

We don't know when everything will be working as the developers do not tell us in advance when they will release the missing functions. The only thing you can do is watch the first post of this thread to see when they add functions and to see what is currently available.

Even if you don't accept the gifts they will stay in the My Requests list until you are able to accept them again.


The only way you can empty the gift box currently is to go to the market through the Storage, click on the Gifts tab there and sell them there.

Those tooltips have not been added yet. You can find all that is currently available in the first post of this thread. You can tell if a farm needs fertilizing by the changed color in the farm selector or if you pick up the manure spreader tool and click it on a farm the chart you see of the farms will show those that are fertilized as greyed out.

The developers will update it when they release any of the functions as they do with the normal releases. It has not been a month when the line about the super neighbor was added. That update was added on the 19th. Look at the date of the added information at the bottom of the post.



Please be patient. All good things come to those who wait. They are working hard on all the missing functions as they want to get all of it working as we all do.

Great question! I also have a question about the Seeders (all sizes) not showing up in the shortcuts correctly. Any idea when that might be resolved? ETA: I can see the seeder I have chosen for that shortcut "faintly" but it can't be clicked on or used from there. Thanks!

The only thing that can cause the times to change would be if your computer's date and time were off either when you planted those or when you were looking at them now.
Did you irrigate those and maybe what you are seeing is the waste time instead of the ready time?

Your XP points are going up as you work, but the levels part has not been added yet. When they do add that you will jump up to the level for the XP you have earned and should get your farm cash for those at that time.


The eye is only used on the smaller tools. If you are using any of the larger tree, flower or EX tools for the crops then it shows the tool with a way to change between the extent and highlight options.

I assure you the developers wanted the game to be fully ready on January first, but they were not able to do so.



The super neighbor function is not quite ready for release. The only thing you can do to not lose the crops you have planted currently is to harvest them yourself. We are in the same situation until the rest of the functions are added.

I have run into an error when watering my neighbors farms. It appears to happen when I have done 10 neighbors. If i refresh, I can then start another batch of 10. Error is:

You can continue sending gifts if you wish, they should be in your friends My Requests tab if they do not accept them.

As the gift box has not been added yet, the only thing you can do is selling some or all of them going to Market via your storage and then clicking in Gifts tab, to sell them and be able to accept more.

First you do not get coins for harvesting your own crops and the levels are not added yet. For the levels you will get those when they are added. Quests are not added yet either.

You should be able to visit your neighbors farms, but you can't do anything on those farms.

Yes you get XP for the plowing and planting, but not for harvesting your own crops. You pay coins when you plow and plant as that is normal as well. All for the crop work is as it is normal by the rules of the game. The difference you are seeing is only because we can't hire.

The leveling has not been added yet. You are still earning experience points, so when the leveling is added back into the game, you will jump up to the level for the amount of experience points you have and receive the approipriate amount of farm cash.

Please explain. What are you not seeing on your farms? This is a restricted version of the game as not all functions have been added yet. You can find what is available currently in the first post on page 1 of this thread. The developers will post additional functions as they are added.

The watermill is a problem for some and the developers will have to fix that when the facilities are added.


To harvest the animal sheds you will have to go to each animal shed and harvest that way since we do not have the facility manager yet. Also it has been reported to the developers that the animal sheds on farm 1 are not showing the amounts in the floating text as the other farms do. The amounts for those are going into the storage though when you do harvest them.


The message about the forums not being secure is the browser telling you this is an http site instead of https. You password here is not compromised. But if you would like to change it you need to click on User CP at the top left of the forums. You can change it in there.

Fuel shows as used while you are working. As soon as your finish and drop the tool the fuel you used is restored.

You will have to do one of two things. Either ignore that message until we get the Gift Box back and wait to accept more gifts until that happens. Or you can go to the market to sell through your storage and click on the Gifts tab there, then sell the gifts to empty your gift box.

Your missing fish would be that they did not harvest. That can happen currently if you have purposely or inadvertenly layered mutlple waters in the same spot. Not all of the layering is working as should be yet. That is something the developers will have to look at after getting all the functions back in the game. As far as coins, you don't get coins for harvesting and would only get those when you go sell.

Each function they add has to be tested and if there is a problem then it gets delayed to be fixed. This is a very complicated interaction game.

the following is coin not count so its not accurate but.....
you show 35% higher storage then me (22 vs 57) and I have 105b in storage. 35% is about 35b and that's exactly how much coin is missing in fish. :)

We have had several reports of the watermill not showing. This will be something the developers will have to fix when we get to use the facilities again. Please be patient until that happens.

Please move your tools into your storage. Then you should see them in your toolbox. If they are on a farm then the tool box doesn't see them.

This is still a restricted version of the game, so your game is working as well as everyone else's is. The developers are working hard to get the rest of the functions into the game. Please be patient while they continue to work on the remaining functions.

The timing on irrigation is all messed up. I have the Irrigate All tool. Sometimes is shows farms that are irrigated as not irrigated, no problem, as it will not irrigate a second time. The opposite, showing Irrigated when they are not (I keep offline track) is a problem.

I have seen some progress, Can see the faces and names now on most my neighbors. I can still access all my farms and harvest my own crops but still cannot access the Market for hiring or real estate I imagine that is still a work in progress. But can see some of the changes made. Looking forward to getting back to playing the game and hiring or being hired. Leveling up and making improvements on my farms. U can go to other farms and get hired to water or rake So seeing a little progress. Hope we can get back to real farming soon though.
