When I'm working in my farms, I'm in full screen mode.
When I want to see the ingredient planner, I left the full screen with the button <>, notwith the escape key.
The game still asks me to exit full screen.

The only thing I can suggest is to try clearing your memcache prior to going to the market to see if that will keep you from being kicked out.


Have cleared memcache repeatedly but the problem persists. Not every farm but about a dozen times working 43 hired farms we get kicked completely out of FarmTown and have to reload the game. Some of the times we get a rehire option so can go back and work, other times we don't and need to message the hirer to get rehired to continue.

The actual work does seem a LITTLE faster than the flash version work. The SAVE countdown is better but still too slow.

If you are getting red numbers for saving then try to do the work a little slower so the saving doesnt go too high. If the farms you are working on are too full of a particular item and/or they are on top of other items then those could affect how fast you can work and how fast they can be saved.

Exactly which space are you talking about? Are you sure you are not trying to put it a place that is occupied by a permanent item like the green man?
Have you tried to put it in a different location to see if it will stay?

Thank you for your ID. Your data shows that you upgraded the farm you have labeled 16World of Fruit(1Day) to 34x34 size which cost 9,000,000,000 coins.

Unfortunately that purchase can not be reversed. Did you remember to go from farm 29 to the Realtors Office to make the purchase? If you did not then that's why you bought that farm upgrade instead of the one you wanted.

You have changed the order of your farms at some point in the past, so they are no longer in the original order.

What do you mean they are treated as wasted?
Please provide more detail about what crop you are harvesting and what size tool you are using and what you are seeing before you harvest them and after you harvest them.

Is this only happening on one of your farms or all of them? If it's not all of them, please let us know which one has the problem you are seeing.

Please also double check that all aspects of the date and time are showing correct on your computer as any part of that being wrong can cause strange issues on the farm.

If you have not already done so, check that your browser is still up to date and clear your browser caches/history so that you get a fresh load of graphics for the game. First load after doing that will be slower while the new graphics load for what is on your farms.

Having met you on your farms I am just listing a few things we have discussed and what to ask you next.

You have confirmed that your preferred browser to use is up to date and you have cleared the browser caches and have run memcache, are loading the game form the Facebook book mark.

I can see your avatar fine as can another user. You can see mine fine.

Please also add here what you were saying about the avatar name being offset, was it mine that was offset? Did it only do that when I moved? Were you in full screen mode or regular screen?

Have you got any extensions added to your browser? If you have, can you disable them please and try loading the game again.

Are you getting the same problem when using another browser?

I am copying your issue to the relevant closed thread for the developers.

I am sorry, but we do not get notified when you edit your post. When there is an issue like this it's better to just post a new one.

OK so now you can see your avatar, were you using full screen or normal screen size when this happened. Can you reload and see if it's fine in normal screen or not. If it's fine then, try full screen and see if that's when your avatar name jumps out of place please. Please take note if it does correct if you wait.

Hi Alexandra_J,

The bug fix was for being able to harvest and plant crops that were hidden.

When you are just seeding with crops hidden, you should see the crops disappear when you drop the tool. Make sure when you are using the single layer tools that the the eye is showing partly closed rather than fully open.

EDIT TO ADD: Looks like you may not have that in your version of the game, you will need to refresh the farm. It is doing what I describe in the one we are testing today so hopefully you may get that in another update.

When did this start happening?

Please check and make sure you have done all the updates on your computer for OS and drivers. Please also check that your browser of choice is still showing up to date. Then please go to the 1st post on page 1 of the HTML5/WebGL thread. (http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=650270) There is more information about what software requirements on a computer will provide optimal game play so you can compare it to what you have. If your computer does not meet those specs or can not be updated there is also information there on how to enable compressed graphics which may help you as well.

Thank you for your ID. If you have enough memory then I am not sure why you need to have the compressed graphics enabled as that's for those that are having difficulties.

Myself and another user have been at the Job market for 10 minutes and are not getting any problems.

Check for any updates on your computer, also check your browser is still up to date, then try closing your browser for a few minutes so it regains some memory. Then try the markets again and see if it's any better. The markets do tend to get very busy when there's been an update and they seem to be now, so you my have a better time later when it's quieter.

Are you going to the Account tab to change the sex? If it's already showing female, try changing it to male, save the changes reload the game, then go back to the Account tab and repeat to change it back to female again.

I removed the layering instructions in your post. Please do not include any instructions about layering in your posts.

The developers are concentrating on getting all normal functions back into the game before anything else. We do not know what layering tricks will work after the game is completely reloaded.

It appears that when you freeze or get an error then it thinks your WebGL is disabled. If you game freezes a lot do you have a lot of layering of trees, flowers or facilities on top of crops then those can cause it to freeze up specially if your Chromebook doesn't have a lot of memory.

The only thing you can do is first try just closing your browser and reopen to your farms.

If that doesn't work you will need to clear your browser cache, close the browser, then reopen yopur farms. Please note the first reload of your farms after that will be slow as it has to download the graphics again.
If that still does not clear it then you may need to restart your computer.

How much memory does your Chromebook have? If it is less than 8 GB then that may be why it freezes up.

When I got done fishing, I re-selected Autoselect Tools. That function is not currently working. I tried refreshing and reloading to no avail.

Upon further experimentation, I find I MUST select Combine first. If I select Chop Trees, Harvest Trees, or Harvest Flowers, the Autoselect doesn't send me on to the next tool, but merely stops. If I harvest/plant crops first, then it flows.

When you have that checked you still have to select the first tool on the farm. After that it will select the tools for the rest of the jobs on that farm.

Try going back to your farm, then going to the next neighbor and see if the same thing happens. It may be that the game is not seeing that it is a different set of farms and thinks all work is done.

What you are listing is drive amounts, not the memory. The memory is the amount of RAM (Random Access Memory). They are not the same. How much space you have available on your hard drive doesn't have anything to do with this as the game uses the RAM and not the hard drive.
Additionally the Chromebook does not have a separate video card or video memory, which is anothere thing that will slow dow n and freeze the display of your farms.

Your farm 20 is set to Private, that is why you cant hire anyone to work on it.

Please click in the farm name and uncheck the option for Make this a Private farm. Then click in the green check mark to save changes.

I have tested what you say and found that if I have crops ready but I first select other tool, when I am given the Combine Harvest/Plant the crops are not showing up.

That is what I was afraid of. You may be able to play, but you will have the freezing up and slow play. The WebGl does need more memory. The recommended amount is 8GB. You can find all the recommendations in the first post of the following thread link:

To contact Support click on the link below, fill out the form and submit it. Be patient as it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for them to respond to you depending on how many tickets they have ahead of yours.

It is a Safari issue. Finally found an error message, down a ways,

Anyhow, nothing happens at all when the Fullscreen box is clicked. Like the mouse is dead.

They are not missing. The Buy button shows on them but if you own the suit of clothes then it will put them on you when you click on it. If you don't own it then a pop up will show that you need to buy them. We have brought this up to the developers about the Buy button still showing on those you own.

Hi John,
Depending on the farms you are hired to work, if they are heavily loaded, then you may have problems with them. There isn't anything the developers can do for that right now. The only thing I can suggest is to turn off any Show item you do not need for working them such as facilities, buildings, decorations, etc. before you go to the market or inn.
The WebGL error is just a way the game is telling you there is a problem. You can try just closing the browser and reopening it to your farms. If that doesn't fix it then you will need to clear the browser cache, close the browser, then reopen your farms.

It will show everything as long as you are not holding any tool. The problem may be if you have a lot of waters (fish) on a farm then that may show the largest part over the rest and may not make it easy to see the rest.

That can happen when you get an error that the game doesn't have any error message for. Try just closing your browser and reopen to your farms.

If that doesn't clear it then try clearing your browser cache, close your browser and reopen to your farms. This method will mean it will be slower loading the first time.

You have never gotten XP for harvesting. That hasn't changed. Since trees and flowers are harvest only then you will not get XP for doing those. Instead you get the products from them.

This happens when the game encounters an error sometimes.
Please try first just closing and reopening your browser and farms. If that doesn't work then you will need to clear your browser cache, then close and reopen your browser, then open your farms. If that still does not fix it then you may need to restart your computer.
When you clear the browser cache it will load slower the first time you open your farms as it has to re-download all the graphics.

Yes you get 1 xp per field you plow. The amount will vary according to how may fields you plow.

Your data shows that since you upgraded a farm today you have gone up in xp by over 12 thousand xp.

In order to gain a little more xp when hired by a stranger at market you will need to claim the bonus chest for completing all the jobs you were hired for for every farm.

The buy button on FC clothes is showing regardless of whether you already bought the FC clothes or not. The devs are aware of this.

You should be able to click on the clothes you already bought previously and click the green check mark to save the change. When you already own them, that will just change the clothes and any other changes you made to your avatar.

When the game doesn't see you own them and you click the green check mark, you will see a warning popup message telling you that you don't own them and what it will cost you to buy. If you are seeing this popup when you try to change to any of the clothes you have already bought, please click the red x on the popup to cancel the purchase. We will then need to know the name and color of the clothes you tried and also your user ID to be able to check your data.

The Autoselect tools option works when you do your own farms and it works similiar when you are hired to work for others.

In case you have it checked, then when you work your own farms you have to select the first tool and when you are done, a new tool for the next job will be given to you.

We also know that there is a little problem with the autoselecting if you have crops ready on a farm. In that case, please use the tools to harvest, plow, plant first and then you will be given the rest of tools. Developers are aware of this problem.

We are aware that not all methods used before the migration to layer are working. I am sorry, but we can't help you with that as we are not permitted to allow anyone to post which ones might be working, the instructions for doing them or any other tricks that people like to do in the game.

At this time the concentration is on getting the game back to normal and add all features back. We are unable to tell you at the moment if those that were working prior to the move and may not be now, will work again in the future.

This is a random problem that happens sometimes. It is a case of the data not transferring from Facebook to Farm Town as the gift processing is done through Facebook. Most of the time they will show back up in a few days in your My Requests.


You can check the following link and see if your gifts are there Facebook Games Activity (https://www.facebook.com/games/activity)

If they are you can accept them through there or wait and see if they will show back up in your My Requests.

Please check the first post of this thread to see what is available now as you can hire people and you can go to the realtor to buy more farms and expansions. Quests are not available yet.
If you are using a saved link/bookmark to get to your farms please don't as you will not get the updates with that. Instead please use the shortcut link in the left column of your Facebook home page or the Play FarmTown button at the top of the forums to get to your farms.

That sounds like you two have accidently layered those farms. After the current crop is ready just harvest them. Then she will need to delete all the plots on that farm, restart her farms and see if any plots show back up. If they do then she will need to delete those and restart her farms again. Repest the deleting and restarting until there are no more plots showing up.

Then she will be able to replow new plots on the farm and plant.

Try doing 1 farm after they are ready. If no plots show back up after restarting then they probably are not layered. If there are then you may have to do all of them.

If that is not it then I don't know what happened that you had to replant 4 times. You may not have been connecting to the servers and that would cause the actions to not be saved. If you are getting the red numbers on a farm as you plant then you need to wait until those are cleared before moving on to another farm.

Are you talking about your neighbors pictures in the Neighbor bar or the super neighbor's farms won't load?

If it is the pictures are they showing when you load your own farms?

Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

Was it changing the status message that is under your avatar at market that had the problem or what it when you tried to use the buttons at the side of the market that change your nameplate to a different color, if it was one of those which one?

I have checked your game settings and your language setting is not one of the common ones used. Please try changing it to English(US).

In case you need the instructions:

Reload the game and check that is still set to English(US).
Then check the market again while you are online and see if you can see anyone there.


If you are unable to change your language in the preferences screen or it is not saving when you change it, please let us know.

When the game locks up are you seeing any errors under the FT console beneath your game screen?

What have you already tried to fix this yourself?

If you have not already done so please try clearing your FT memcache. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared.

Then also close your browser. Wait a few minutes then reopen your browser and try loading the game again and see if that improves things for you.

I am unable to reproduce your issue using Full screen.
Are you able to change it fine in regular screen?

Are you using the Facebook Farm Town book mark at the left side of News Feed to get to the game or a saved bookmark? If you are using a saved book mark, please try the Facebook bookmark and see if it makes any difference.

If it's not that, what message were you trying to change to, so we can try what you are trying to change it to.

What browser are you using and is it still showing up to date? Is the problem still present using a different browser?

It's a relatively minor issue, but on farms where I have patches of sand, they have a thin green outline, even where they overlap. You can see this on my farms #1 and #13. It isn't the background showing through, because farm #13 has a water background.

Otherwise I think they migration is going great, but I hope to see bonuses and quests soon!

I have checked your data and you have thousands of fresh water lakes and rivers and only 2 fish farming plants. For that much water you are not producing enough bait to keep up with those.

The developers are working on the avatar problem currently. Please be patient while they try to fix this issue.
I am sorry, but even if you could find the id for her previous farms , there is no way to get them back to you. The IDs are tied to the Facebook account, so the only way for her to get those farms back is to work out the problems with Facebook and be able to get back into the old account.

Please do not post any layering instructions in the forums. We are not allowed to give any instructions or allow any instructions for layering in the forums. I removed that part of your explanation of your problem.
We can not help with anything concerning layering, nor do we know what layering tricks will or won't work in this version of the game.

The WebGL not supported is because of the error you caused. You should be able to just close your browser and reopen it to clear this error. If that doesn't work then you will need to clear your browser cache, then close the browser and reopen to your farms. If that still doesn't clear it try restarting your computer.

You do have to pay attention because you may end up with something in the space that you do not want to sell. But it will only sell when you click. If you click multple times or your mouse is clicking multiple times, then it will sell whatever product is under the curser and keep selling.

I have tested this and could not duplicate your problem unless I hold the mouse button down or click multiple times.

I tried this and could not duplicate it. I even tried holding the mouse button down and it would not sell multiple times.

It could be your mouse, getting a bounce when clicking. If it is a wireless mouse try replacing the battery or charging it if it is a rechargable one. If it is a wired mouse , try a different one to see if it could be a switch that is wearing out. In the 11 years I have played this game I have worn out at least 4 or 5 mice and the left mouse button is what has worn out giving double clicks.

First thing is all of your belts will show that they are white belts because the belts and dans have not been added back into the game as yet.


I checked your data and do not see but a few facilities. DO you have any facilities that use the raspberries?

I also noticed you have very little in your storage. Did you possibly sell off a lot of your storage before the change over to the HTM including your raspberries?

I am sorry but we have no way to track what you have sold individually and no way to replace anything that is missing.

I am sorry but there isn't anything we can do about your missing raspberries, you will have to plant them again. We're not seeing anything in your data that could have caused a problem like this. You are more than welcome to contact the support team about this if you wish and see if they can tell you anything different. Please let us know if you would like help to contact them.

What I suggest you do is run memcache again today. I can see you know how to do that as you ran it a few days ago. For speed here's the link: https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached

Then please also check that your browser is still up to date and also clear the caches/history. Make sure you remember to close the browser so the memory in the browser is cleared, then reopen it and load the game.

After doing this your 1st load will be slower than normal as the game has to get all the data for what is on your farms again. If there is an odd issue causing a problem then that should clear it out.

Even with the purple hand you have to have at least one spot the size of a pine tree (one square) to set something down. You can not place more than 1 item in a single spot. The only thing you can do is move it slightly to find a clear spot where it turns green.

Then also close your browser. Wait a few minutes then reopen your browser and try loading the game again and see if that improves things for you.t y tiger lady

The hide crops does work from the Show Crops button in the preferences and by clicking on one of the crops and choose to hide all of that crop. If you are trying to hide crops while you are planting them that doesn't work until you drop the tool.
Since you don't say how your avatar changed appearance or if it is back to normal now I can't say. They were working on some of the avatar stuff for several days.
The animated graphics including the animals have not been added back in the game yet.

Which gift and how many of them did you accept from the My Requests page?
Please have a look in My Requests and see if you recognize any of them as being ones you have already tried to accept.

If you have tried accepting any gifts from free gift sites, those do not belong to Slashkey, you would need to speak to the admin of that site about that.

When we ask you to clear memcache we always include the link for it. You can either click on the link or right click it to copy it for saving. The entire link doesn't show but it is there.

I do see you have a lot with both large and regular boxes of crops. Try using the Zip button in your storage to consolidate all those to one size (regular) for all your crops.

It appears that when the game freezes or get an error then it thinks your WebGL is disabled. If your game freezes then maybe you were working a farm with a lot of items on it.

The only thing you can do is first try just closing your browser and reopen to your farms.

If that doesn't work you will need to clear your browser cache, close the browser, then reopen your farms. Take in mind the first time you load your farm after the clearing it will load slower as all graphics need to be loaded again.

You cant put the animals on the farms yet as you cant see them.

If you are on a farm where you have space in the animal sheds to move the animals, then you can do that from your gift box. Remember regular sheds can have 250 of each type of animal that goes in that shed, super sheds hold 500.

If you dont have space and you cant purchase new sheds for other farms, then you can only go to Market and sell them to empy your gift box.

When you are at market, click in Gift tab and you will be able to sell them.

At the time of this post, we are seeing that you have 441 glads in your gift box and 980 glads in your item storage. Are you not seeing that?

I have just tried exchanging gifts for glads and I am getting the correct amount in the gift box and they are making it to storage fine here. I have also tested the planting options you have for the tools you own and those are also working fine here.

There are several reasons why you may not have been getting the correct amount, I will list those for you so you can check if any of those could be what is happening:


When you exchanged the gifts for glads, were there any neighbour requests showing on that page, if there were then that reduces the amount of gifts on that page so you wouldn't get 50 gifts of glads.


Did you notice if anyone had sent you more than one gift at a time? If someone sends you more than one gift at a time, those methods don't always work every time so may be why the amount you got was reduced.


When you were exchanging/accepting gifts, did you notice if any of them looked like ones you may have already tried to accept previously? If previously accepted gifts don't clear from My Requests you don't get them again when you try to accept them.


If you don't think any of those could be the cause or you can't see the numbers of glads I have listed in either your gift box or item storage, please clear your FT memcache in case there is anything in your data that may be causing a problem. To do that Click Here (https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/play/?do=clear_memcached). A window will open with a list of "unsetting", that is the memcache being cleared. Close that window and FT if you have it open in another window. That should correct whatever the problem was that was preventing you getting as many flowers moving forwards. Then try just accepting one gift of glads, load the game then check that the correct amount made it to the gift box and also got correctly added to your item storage when you stored them

Hi alsop,
Many have reported problems on Mac computers with both Safari and Chrome. Some have found Opera works better.

The freezing in Chrome may be happening if your farms are heavily covered and it is having trouble loading everything. Before you go to full screen try turning off anything you don't need for the work on that farm.

I am sorry, but we can not help you with this as what you are trying to do is layering. We are not allowed nor can we allow others to post any instructions in the forums concerning layering.

We do not know what tricks that previously worked in the Flash version will work in the HTML version. The developers are working on getting all the normal functions back in the game and are not looking at the layering tricks currently.

The update says to click on details for the trains. When I do , it says coming soon. So mine is not working.

Thank you for your report, we will let the developers know. In the meantime you should be able to use the Train Manager to view the cars attached to your trains and manage them that way instead.

not sure if this is the correct spot to mention problems?? I clicked on the link at the top of the Farmtown page (in pink) to report problems and this is where it took me.

I was hired to work at Rainbow's farm and completed farm 13 and then farm 14. But then it locked up and wouldn't load farm 15. Not sure if I was able to get the bonus, etc. for farm 14. Google Chrome became completely locked up and had to turn my computer off and reboot. just FYI

Your data shows that you did get the bonus for those 2 farms.
If the game locked up when you went to farm 15 it does sound like that may have been a heavy farm with a considerable amount on it. If you normally have problems with heavy farms then try the compressed graphics setting in your game preferences before you work those and try hiding everything that you don't need to see to work on. If you need to only show the item you are working on, do that, hide it, then show the next thing.

Remember there will be more on than usual as there's been an update.

Was glad to see the Trains back :) However, after having emptied and re-loaded mine with no problem, I then went to deal with the 34 train boosts I had. Seemed to be going well, but when I reached bottom of page and needed to scroll down to do more, the ones I had already done went back to Blue again as if they still needed doing. If I clicked on them again I got a very large error message in box at top of page. I am not sure if they actually were boosted or not ??

I've reproduced the issue with the boosts looking like they were not boosted when you scroll up the page again. They are clearing fine if you either just switch to the other My Trains tab and back again. The products are showing as being earned. The only popup you should be seeing while booting is the one when someone has sent to many train boosts out or the train is already boosted.

Are you seeing a pop up message or an actual error message n the FT console or a an error message in on a black background?

We have not seen this nor had any other reports of this. Could have just been a 1 time glitch in the graphics.

Hi Happy Pants,
Try closing the browser and reopen it and see if it will load. If not you may need to clear the browser cache, close the browser and then reopen your farms. It will be slow loading the first time after clearing the browser cache as it has to download all the graphics again.
If those don't work then add restarting the computer. One of thos e should work.

If you are trying to do your trains from the farm then you will receive the coming soon message. We sent that to the developers.

Meanwhile please do the trains through the Train Manager.

The coming soon message is showing up if you try to do your trains on the farm. We have let the developers know about this issue.

It is better to try to do your trains using the Train Manager in your Tool box.

What were you doing when you got that error? Were you at your farm or working in other farmer farm?

If you reload the game, do you still get the error?

I just found another difference in behavior between the old flash version and the new version. In the flash version if I refreshed a farm it only showed plowed tiles waiting to be planted. In the new version it still shows all tiles. Makes it tricky finding the spot you missed.

As far as the request not going through you may have sent one after someone else did to the same person. They can only get one at a time. I don't know if the message to let you know that is in this version. I have hired several times today and haven't seen any problems doing so.


If you refresh the farm to see any you have missed you need to have the tool in your hand or it won't hide those already done. The other thing is the eye in the lower right corner (when holding one of the non-ex tools) has to be half closed to hide crops that are planted after you refresh the farm.

That farm is at 28x28 so yes you do need to purchase the 30x30 first before you can buy any of the larger sizes.
Do you not see that expansion for 30x30 at the top of the list when you go to the realtor from that farm?

For those having trouble hiring in the market, try going to the Inn or thetrading market from there and then back to the job market. If you see everyone still with the white name tag then do it again. If you see some with the red tag then you should be in and able to hire.

You have to be on-line (Plug in upper right green) to see anyone.
If you are on line then try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close that as it is done.
If your farm is open close it. Then reopen and try again.

To clear that you need to try closing your browser and then reopen. If that doesn't work try restarting your computer. If that still doesn't clear it then you will need to clear your browser cache, then close the browser and reopen your farms. If you have to do the clearing of the browser then it will be slow loading the first time as it will have to download all the graphics again.

after transplanting a bunch of trees, I try to pick up the one tree left and it will not be moved. if I pick it up with the transplanter or the yellow hand, the tree jumps back to the place where it was before I tried to move it. If I hit play and go back to the tree, I can then move it.
